Chapter 35- Callie
I woke up to Arizona breathing heavy and talking in her sleep, she often mumbles in her sleep but never this. "no" she calls out. I'm not sure if I should try and wake her, but I do "Arizona" I say, but got nothing "Arizona" I try again, still nothing. I sit up and shake her, she's soaked in sweat "Arizona wake up" her eyes pop open, and stare at me like I'm not even there.
"Calliope" she says, I nod, and she pulls me into her, when our lips meet, the kiss is frantic and rushed. When she pushes me back onto the bed, climbing on top of me, I knew this was gonna be a quick fuck. I was right, I moan as she slides two fingers inside of me, luckily I was having my own wet dream so I was ready for her. I moan again as she starts to move, reaching my hand down, I somehow managed to get my hand between us, and I can feel how wet she is, as I slide two fingers in, I feel her tense for moment but quickly find her pace again. She does that thing she does, and we both fall over the edge together. Soon all that can be heard in the room is us breathing. She pulls out of me, and rolls off me, still not saying anything, she gets out of bed, putting her clothes on and leaves the room. Shutting the door quietly behind her, I reach for my phone to see the time, 4:29 in the morning, confused, I stand and quickly dress. But when I get to the kitchen, where I thought I'd find her, there are no signs. Hearing movement outside, I head to the door, seeing a spark, and then the low glow of a cigarette, I quietly open the door and step out. "hey" my voice is soft when I spoke.
"hey" she says back, not looking at me, "are you ok?"
"yeah" she says letting out a puff of smoke, I wait a moment to see if she'd elaborate, when she doesn't, I reach for her hand, she lets me take it, intertwining our fingers, she finally looks at me "we were getting married, and someone shot you, when I went after them, they shot me too"
"at least we were together" I say, trying to make light of the situation
"yeah" she says taking another drag.
"honey, it was just a dream, I know how real they can feel, but it was just a dream, I'm here" I put her hand on my chest so she can feel my heart beat. "you're here, Alex is inside sleeping, along with your dad and my mom"
"I know" she says letting out another puff of smoke, she's then quiet, I lead her over to the chairs and we sit. I contemplate going to make some coffee, I needed something, it was going to be along day. Arizona usually wakes up early, but me I like to sleep until at least 7, I look out in the direction of the lake, it was so dark, I could barely see anything. The only light was from the almost full moon which was getting ready to set. Off in the distance I could see the sun, starting to make its appearance, I let out a sigh, and look over at my fiancée "I love you" I see a smile, a small one, but a smile nonetheless "I love you too" she says "I'm sorry"
"don't be" I lean over and kiss her "just talk to me"
"I don't know if I can" she looks away "not yet"
"ok" I nod, then lay my head on her shoulder. We sit like that long after she's discarded her cigarette, I hear movement in the house, and the dogs make their presence known. They were ready for their breakfast. "suppose we better feed them" Arizona says, I lift my head, and go to stand "I could use some coffee"
"hmm" she hums, I stand, then lean down "I love you Arizona, and I'm right here" she smiles and gives me a kiss "I love you too"
