Chapter 41- Callie

The wedding was beautiful, and although I don't know April or Jackson too well, not yet anyway, I could tell they belonged together. Arizona started crying when April walked down the aisle. I felt my heart melt for her, she's the most caring, loving, independent, woman I have ever met, and I swear to god if I ever meet Joann I will kill her. I know that's a strong word, but I hate her, like literally hate her, if she were on fire I wouldn't piss on her to put it out. How the hell can someone treat an amazing woman like Arizona the way she did. Shaking my head to get those thoughts out, this was a happy day, I see Arizona walking towards me. "Callie, I know you already know Teddy, but" she laughs

"hello Callie, how have you been"

"I'm doing good Sheriff Altman"

"oh please it's Teddy" she laughs "and now that you're marrying one of my best friends, it's always just Teddy" Teddy smiles as she pulls me into a hug "thank you" she whispers.

"you're welcome" I hug her back. If I hadn't gone to the private school in town I would have been friends with these guys. Oh who am I kidding, no I wouldn't have, one thing I have noticed about Arizona's friend group, is they are all from families who don't have much but the land their house's sit on. "they all seem so happy" I hear Aria say.

"they do"

"we had a happy childhood" she says it more like a question, and when I look at her she adds "right?"

"um, sure" I shrug "I mean, mommy was busy working, and daddy was"

"a jerk, who tried controlling us" she adds, and we start laughing.

"at least we were loved" I say and scan the area looking for my mom, she was on the dance floor, which consisted of some hardwood flooring that had been put down over the dirt floor, making Daniel dance. I hear Alex laugh "see, we all have dates" I look back at him just in time to see Arizona shake her head. I look back at Aria and wink, reaching for Arizona's hand I drag her out on the dance floor. She's told me numerous times, she can't dance, and up until now, I haven't made her. "Callie" she says, as I come to a stop, and pull her into me "dance with me wife"

"I'm not your wife"

"not yet" I smile and start moving us around, a slow song started playing, which was perfect, Arizona wraps her arms around my waist, and I lay my head on her shoulder, as we slowly move around. When the song ended, I let Arizona pull me off the dance floor and find our seats. Alex had gotten us all drinks and was sitting at the table, with Aria and the parentals.

"this sure is a lovely place" my mom commented as she looked around the room "do you think they'd let us use it for your reception?" she asks looking at Arizona then at me. I shrug as Arizona stares blankly at her, I nudge her and laugh when her attention comes back to us. "huh?"

"mom asked if they'd let us use this for our reception"

"oh" she looks around and shrugs "I don't know, but we can do pretty much the same thing at home" she looks up meeting Alex's eyes, he smiles "we can get started tomorrow" he's such an amazing friend, scratch that, brother to Arizona.
