Chapter 3 Orko's cousin

Things were pretty calm at the moment on Eternia. Orko at the moment was feeling a bit sad. "Everything alright Orko?" Adam asked. "You seem kind of sad," he said at the breakfast table.

"Adam's right it seems like something is bothering you," Teela said.

"I agree, you are kind of picking at your food," Man at arms said.

"Tell us what is wrong Orko," Marlena said.

"Well the thing, is I am thinking a lot about Trolla," Orko said.

"Trolla isn't that where you are from?" Andra asked.

"Yes," Orko said. "I am just missing it," he said. "I miss the sights, the sounds of it, even the smells and food there," he said. "I miss how my magic would work right there," he said. "I also miss the friends I have there and my family, my mother, my father, my uncle Montork, my aunt Esso, my cousin Snoob and many other relatives," he said. "Heh, I even miss the guy who used to give me a hard time at the Trollan academy of magic but he matured after he went on his sorcerer's quest," he said.

"Sorcerer's quest?" Damien asked.

"It's a very important thing for Trollans it is big coming of age event," Orko said. "To prove they are full and capable wizard they must travel from so random far point in Trolla that the crimson council sends them, and they face many things along the way, it will show what is in their heart, soul, the skills they have, and then once they make it to the Trollan temple of Power they get judged by the star tree and their mage emblem which shows what kind of wizard they are," he explained. "Every Trollan goes through it pretty much when they turn 16," he added.

"Did you go on a sorcerer's quest Orko?" Adam asked.

"Yes," Orko said. "This is my mage emblem," he said pointing at the mark on robe over his chest.

"I thought that was your initial," Andra said.

"As did I," Man at arms said. "You know "O" for Orko," he said.

"Well Trollans have different letters and language that you guys," Orko said. "But we are able to learn new languages by magic. It normally happens as soon as we land on a planet or magic sense the language or languages of the world we are one and then we learn them," he said.

"That's impressive," Damien said. "So if that is not an initial that what is it?" he asked.

"It is an Oracle Ring, a very rare mage emblem," Orko said. "They are also called ringbearers, they are known to have done great things after getting this mark," he said. "There had only been five others who had this mark, but they disappeared a long time ago, and there had only be one ringbearer there during a certain time," he said.

"They are probably dead now," Teela said.

"I don't know about that, Trollans can live for thousands of years, so we stay young a very long time," Orko explained.

"So how old are you then might I ask?" Cringer asked.

"I am only 25," Orko said. "So I am still consider a young adult and will be for a long time," he said.

"For how long?" Man at arms asked.

"Oh until I am 300 years old," Orko answered. "But I sure wish I can see any member of my family right now I sure do miss them, and I don't even think they believe I am even alive, because many Trollans who got caught in those gate storms were sometimes found dead later," he said. "I bet they are wondering if I am even okay," he said. "I wish I could get this magic message I recorded just this morning to let them know I am okay," he said with a sigh.

"Don't worry Orko I am sure we can figure something out," Adam said.

Meanwhile in another place an evil wizard was looking for someone to summon to aid him in fighting He Man as bait. He knew He Man couldn't resist helping someone in trouble. "Yes that's the one," the wizard said when he saw Snoob. "Perfect," he said and began the summoning powers.

Back on Trolla Snoob was minding his own business. "I know Orko is alive, he is out there somewhere I am going to figure out how to get him back." Snoob said.

Then the summoning spell caught Snoob and pulled him through thinking fast Snoob used his own magic. He managed to break free but when he did he was on Eternia. "This place isn't Trolla." Snoob said.

The evil Wizard saw that Snoob had some skill. "Hmm he might take some time to catch." the evil wizard said.

Meanwhile Orko was out in the forest trying to think. "I sure miss home," Orko said. Then he heard rustling in the bushes. "Yikes," he said.

"Sorry little buddy didn't mean to scare you," Adam said coming out. "I just wanted to come with you because I felt you needed a friend right now," he said.

"Thanks Adam," Orko said.

They headed out for a while and heard something. Then Orko ran into someone literally. Orko sat up and saw who it was. Snoob sat up too and saw Orko.

"Snoob!" Orko said.

"Orko!" Snoob said.

Then the two of them hugged. "I can't believe you are here," Orko said.

"I am can hardly believe it after eight years," Snoob said.

"Orko mind introducing me to your friend?" Adam said.

"Oh," Orko said feeling kind of awkward. "Adam this is Snoob my favorite cousin," he said. "Snoob this is Prince Adam he's my friend," he said.

"Nice to meet you Snoob," Adam said.

"Nice to meet you too Adam," Snoob said. "Mind telling me where I am?" he asked.

"You are planet Eternia," Adam told him.

"Come on let's get you to the palace I can't wait to introduce you to everyone and I have so much to ask you," Orko said. "I bet you want a lot of answers from me too," he said.

They made it back to the palace. Orko introduced his cousin to his friends at the palace. "Nice to meet you Snoob," Teela said.

"So how did you get here any way?" Man at arms asked.

Snoob explained the whole thing. "That's how I got here," Snoob said.

"A very strange story," Andra said.

"So how did you get here Orko? What have you been up too? I have got to know if you haven't tried to find a way back home?" Snoob asked.

"Well that is a long story," Orko said and explained.

"Some story, I can't believe you saved a prince and made friends with the new Eternia champion," Snoob said.

"How is everything all Trolla?" Orko asked.

"Everyone is not sure if you are dead or alive Orko," Snoob said. "But many are starting to believe you are dead," he said. "The forest ranger saw what happened when you got pulled into that storm, he brought back a tattered remain of one of your blankets to our house to tell us what had happened," he said. "Your parents, Uncle Unzo and Aunt Ilyne and my parents were so devastated," he said. "But I knew you were alive and I found you alive," he said. "I hope I can get back home and tell them and find a way for them to believe me," he said.

"Here this thing has magic message I recorded this morning, maybe once we can figure out how to get you home you can deliver it for me," Orko said.

"That is a great idea," Snoob said.

Then the evil wizard did the summoning spell and Snoob disappeared and was soon in chains. Then he sent a message to the sorceress for He man.

"Where did Snoob go?" Orko asked.

"I am getting a message from the sorceress." Adam said. "Orko you might want to come with me to castle gray skull." he said.

The two of them headed there quickly. They were in a hurry. They made to castle gray skull. "What is going on?" Cringer asked.

"This," the sorceress said. It showed the evil wizard.

"He man I am holding this creature captive, I took him from his homeworld, I hold the orb that will be able to send him home. I am planning on destroying it and making this creature my slave. That unless you can give me magic from castle gray skull, you have until dawn to decide," the evil wizard said. Snoob was shown in chains.

"Adam we can't leave my cousin Snoob like that," Orko said.

"We will rescue him Orko," Adam said. "Do you have something Snoob touched recently?" he asked.

"Yes I picked up his wand he dropped." Orko said.

"Good because I know someone who can track him," Adam said. Then he pulled out his sword. "By the power of gray skull." he said. Then he turned into He-man. "I have the power!" he said. Then Cringer turned into battle cat.

"Come now let's go," He man said.

They headed to help Snoob. They found the evil wizard's hide out. "Hello He-Man," the evil wizard said.

He man was fighting the wizard and his monster. While Orko worked on freeing Snoob. "Thanks Orko," Snoob said. "I know the source of the evil wizard's power come on," he said.

He man had his hands full. Then Snoob managed to snatched the evil wizards medallion. "My medallion," the evil wizard said. "Give it back!" he said.

"No I am putting this where it belongs in the fire!" Snoob said throwing it into the fire and destroying it.

"No my powers are destroyed, I am nothing now," the wizards said turn into a shriveled up tree.

"There now you are safe Snoob and this orb should take you home," He Man said.

"Orko come a long with me," Snoob said.

"I wish I could Snoob," Orko said. "But there is some much evil to fight here on Eternia, they need the ringbearer to work with the champion." he said. "So my place is here," he said.

"Yes I couldn't do many things without Orko's help a lot of the time," He Man said. "I truly value his friendship and assistance," he said.

"I will make sure to give this message to all of Trolla then and I will let them know where you are and that you are okay and doing well," Snoob said. "I will also tell them you are helping the champion of Eternia," he said.

Then Orko handed back Snoob's wand. Then they hugged. "Good bye Snoob I love you cousin," Orko said.

"I love you to cousin Orko," Snoob said. "I hope I can see you again and I know the rest of the family will too," he said.

Then Snoob took the orb and waved good bye. Both Snoob and the orb disappeared.

"I am glad I got to see him again," Orko said. "I hope to see him and the rest of my family and even some of my friends back on Trolla too," he said.

"I am sure you will Orko I am sure you will," He man said.

Then they headed home.

"Hi in today's story you read how Orko was feeling home sick and missing his family and the place of his birth and where he grew up." Adam said. "He talked about it and his friends listened to him." he said. "If you have a friend who is sad listen to what they have to say, sometimes listening can really help." he said. "I know you will appreciate having a friend who listen if you are feeling sad," he said. "Sometimes listening really is a power to be proud of." he said.
