Chapter 30: Frozen Hot Chocolate

Somehow, seeing "West Side Story" on Broadway with Philip felt wrong. I had just watched the movie with Shane. It's like déjà vu, though, to be fair, we didn't watch much of the movie.

He squeezes my hand while "Something is Coming" is sung by Tony.

He seems to really enjoy going to the theatre, and so do I. I just couldn't afford the tickets, not even for the local theatre. Now I think I will be able to go more often.

After the play, we took a walk around the city, as he had promised. Then we took a taxi to Serendipity 3, a popular restaurant.

We share a frozen hot chocolate together, which is too big for us to finish. I was craving chocolate, so it was perfect.

Seated across from Philip, he opens up to me a little more.

"Mom took me here for almost every birthday I had. Some of my favorite memories," he smiles.

I look around the restaurant, and it definitely has a romantic vibe. It reminds me of the movie "Serendipity" with John Cusack.

" I'm glad you have those memories. I remember my mom made me a strawberry cake for my birthday. She could really bake," I said, smiling. I really hope I'm pregnant, because he really wants a baby.

"Can you cook?" he asked as we left the restaurant and got into a taxi.

"Hardly. But Amy could make anything," I said softly.

" I want to ask you a huge favor. If we have a daughter, could we name her after my mom?" he asked, sitting next to me in the taxi.

"Which name are you thinking of?" I asked.

My mom's middle name is Belle. So I was thinking Elizabeth Belle. Honestly, it would mean the world to my mom, he says, looking into my eyes.

"Elizabeth Belle is a beautiful name. Amy's middle name is Elizabeth. That's why I suggested it," I said, taking his hand.

"Can't wait to hold Eliza Belle," he smiles.

"Eliza Belle is the cutest nickname. I only hope I am pregnant this month," I said with a smile.

" I have a feeling we will get lucky this month, " he says, touching my stomach.

We arrive back at the Plaza Hotel, and I realize this is only our fifth date. I'll be officially engaged by Friday, I just know it. But I don't want to wait anymore. I am ready to be married.

Though a part of my heart will always long for Shane.
