I don't own Harry Potter. I do own the story and any original characters that I create. I seek no profit from my writings in the Harry Potter Universe. The rights are owned by J K Rowling and whoever happens to own Warner Bros.
Harry Potter returns to 4 Privet Drive a broken boy. He's seen another boy callously cut down in front of him, he's been forced to duel Voldemort, seen the ghosts of his parents and been told how proud they are of him. Then Dumbledore makes him return to Durzkaban, instead of spending the Summer with Sirius. Harry is emotionally exhausted.
At 15, Harry did not know a lot of things. He had no idea about the prophecy. He did not know about horcrux. He does not know why his scar hurts when he's around one. The prophecy is in one of James notes in his Journal. Sirius has been recuperating at a Health Spa his family owns in the South of France. It's not far from Beauxbatons and a fairly major Veela colony. Sirius still feels guilty that he was not the Secret Keeper.
Scottish aurors arrived to take the two unconscious people away and placed Albus Dumbledore in anti-magic cuffs, before escorting him away. Dumbledore was sure he could soon sort out the misunderstanding.
"I am sure you can let me go. I am Harry's magical guardian," Albus began.
"You're nae the wee laddies magical guardian. You have no right to call him by his first name. That charge will be added. This is magical Scotland where your sassenach corruption has no sway. You'll no be going back to England before you've been tried in Scotland." The chief Scottish auror said, shutting Dumbledore in the cage.
Harry and his friends watched Dumbledore being lead away and Snape and McGonagall levitated away.
"That's what you get for trying to kill us, you traitorous spy," Lord Abraxas Malfoy directed at the disappearing Snape.
"I need a better door," Harry announced. Cassiopea laughed. A pair of workmen cane and fitted a new door and stronger frame.
Harry asked who of the 70 Slytherins currently in Hogwarts were not Death Eaters. The group worked on the list. Only 10 names were left as not being Death Eaters. Harry had to work out a way to get them out of the Great Hall.
As Harry lay in bed, trying to get to sleep, secure in the knowledge that there were five adults there for him, he pondered several things. The first was why he'd come back aged 15. The second was why everything had changed so much, in such a short space of time. The rest were around what had happened back in 1981 on that Halloween.
The best answer he could come up with to his first question was that someone else had sent him back. He'd saved six lives, well one had died after and he'd felt bad about that. Still did. Harry did not class Sirius as an adult. A decade in Azkaban did not leave one unscathed. He'd killed Pettigrew and Grindelwald and was now master of Nurmengard. He had Grindelwald's book about Dumbledore. Harry had an alliance, of sorts, with Rita Skeeter. She hated Dumbledore for reasons Harry did not know. This time around, Harry had his Wizengamot seats and had escaped from under Dumbledore's thumb. Harry remembered how Dumbledore had said how much cleverer he was than everyone else. Harry had managed to keep him off balance. Harry had forged a good working relationship with Amelia Bones, Head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement (DMLE). He'd freed Sirius and got him cleared, something he had not been able to do in his previous existence. Harry had worked out that he had no Regent appointed and was therefore Lord, in his own right, of House Potter. Dumbledore had made a fatal mistake in not telling James Potter that he was the Lord Potter. Harry had found the trunks belonging to his parents and more importantly his mother's journals that went right up to Dumbledore casting the Fidelius and making Peter Pettigrew the Secret Keeper.
Harry's thoughts about that fateful Halloween were that Dumbledore knew that Pettigrew was going to betray the Potters and that he'd been preparing Harry for a ritual to allow Riddle to become Harry. The snake had been the trial run, so to speak.
Riddle had taken Pettigrew and Snape along with him. Had either proven false, they would have been killed. Riddle had entered and killed James Potter. That had alerted Dumbledore who rushed to Hagrid and apparated them both to Dumbledore's castle back of the Potter cottage. Hagrid had run off to Potter Cottage. Pettigrew had entered slowly and Snape had grabbed the page of Lily's letter that talked about him. Riddle had killed Lily Potter and tried to kill Harry and possess him. He'd failed and ended up back in Albania presumably with his snake. He'd been too weak to possess her.
Dumbledore had apparated into Harry's room, where he found Pettigrew picking up the cloak and wand of his master. Dumbledore told Pettigrew how to frame Sirius and where to hide – with a family that had no idea how long common brown rats lived. Pettigrew and Snape had made it out of the cottage before Hagrid arrived. Hagrid had thundered upstairs to find Harry alive. Dumbledore told Hagrid to take Harry to Hogwarts. Coming downstairs, Hagrid met Sirius and persuaded Sirius to let him take Harry to Hogwarts. Sirius had gone after Pettigrew. Dumbledore had stolen various items, but had not found what he was looking for and had destroyed a third of the property in his anger. Snape helped Dumbledore bury James and Lily. Dumbledore had no access to Potter Manor or Fleamont Hall and had declared both properties destroyed. Since there was nobody to gainsay him, he was believed.
Dumbledore had to have taken Harry's blood to use for 4 Privet Drive and Hogwarts wards. Perhaps he'd taken more blood to use should Harry prove recalcitrant. Harry had certainly proved recalcitrant. Perhaps he should forego sleep and retrieve the stolen items and destroy whatever blood of his Dumbledore still had.
Harry got up and dressed. He sneaked out of the back door and made his way to Dumbledore's office. The gargoyle that prevented access took one look at Harry's face and moved out of the way.
"What are you looking for?" the Sorting Hat asked.
"My property that Dumbledore stole and any of my blood that he still has," Harry replied.
The Sorting Hat pointed out the locations of the various items. They included the Invisibility Cloak (the real one), the Pensieve, the Potter Family Grimoire, the Potter account ledgers, Soul Anchors (Black family library) and the blood from several vials that drenched Harry. Harry got them all together and used his portkey to Godric's Hollow. He then went back to Hogwarts and used it on the throne in the Great Hall. Harry set a new password on the portkey.
Harry showered and washed his clothes at Godric's Hollow. He was able to get back to his house in Hogsmeade and into bed there without anyone noticing. He hoped.
The following breakfast time, Dumbledore was back at his seat at Hogwarts. His chair was a different one. The rumour mill said that Dumbledore had been fined and McGonagall and Snape were being held pending extradition to magical England. Hermione told Harry that Dumbledore was giving Harry some very hard stares. Harry was trying to process Lord Malfoy's remarks. He was apparently quite alright with Harry killing Draco.
Harry wanted to spend some time in Nurmengard that afternoon. He wanted more information about soul anchors. Seeing an almost corporeal young Tom Riddle come out of a diary sort of triggered something in Harry. Those older memories of things that had not happened yet. The diary, locket and cup had already been destroyed. The older adults Lords Black and Malfoy looked like they knew what those objects had been. What had Harry overheard? The Gaunts had used the Peverell ring as their House ring.
Harry reviewed what he knew about the Peverells accompanying Hermione to the Ravenclaw Common Room. According to Bardle the Beed, three brothers had taken three items off Death. A wand that could not be beaten in a straight fight, a resurrection stone and an Invisibility Cloak. Cadmus had wanted to bring his wife and daughter back to life. He'd failed and committed suicide. Antiochus had a daughter who had married a Gaunt. The Elder Wand or Death stick did not protect against surprise attack. Harry had that in his main vault, now. He had the Cloak in Godric's Hollow and he suspected the ring was in the shack he'd seen in Little Hangleton, one of Riddle's soul anchors.
Ignotus Peverell had a son who married into the Potter line. She'd been the daughter of Linfred the Potterer. The next generation had a Gaunt-Peverell daughter marrying a Potter-Peverell and a Potter-Peverell daughter marrying a Gaunt-Peverell. The Gaunts had gotten the Peverell House ring. Harry had Gryffindor and Slytherin from his father's line and Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff from his mother. That part about his mother came from her journals.
Harry had seen what the tiara of Ravenclaw looked like from the copy adorning the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw in the Ravenclaw common room. The older Harry's memories had seen it too, in the Room of Requirements – it had to have been – on a detention with Filch. Harry was going to use fiendfyre on the contents of the lost items area of the Room. He'd learnt it and every other spell in the Hogwarts curriculum thanks to Hermione. He had not been able to control that particular spell. If he was going to use it on the Slytherins, he had to be able to control it.
Harry went to the Room of Requirements and used fiendfyre on the tiara. The spell got out of control. Harry only just made it out. He was a long way from casting it properly. Harry had no wish to burn down the Great Hall and everyone in it.
Nurmengard did have precise instructions into how to prepare a soul anchor. Harry read that you could split your soul into a maximum of 7 pieces, 6 of which could be soul anchors; the seventh piece was the soul remaining and the control for the 6 anchors. That Harry knew had been transferred into him that Halloween.
Harry went back to Godric's Hollow. He would leave his portkeys behind. He'd take the Knight Bus to Little Hangleton. He did that. Another fiendfyre. Almost controlled, but not quite. A lot of dead snakes, but the Peverell ring and Resurrection Stone survived the maelstrom. The soul anchor did not. Harry placed the Peverell ring on his middle finger. Like his other rings, it vanished. Harry smiled.
Harry now had to figure how to get to Albania and then how to get to wherever Quirrell had met Riddle. Harry got the Knight Bus to the Ministry and headed for the international portkey to Albania. The England quidditch team was off to play Albania. They saw the Boy-Who-Lived and invited him along. Their good luck charm.
Arriving in Albania, Harry went to the ground with the team. At the location for the match, Harry found a tour guide saying how he'd taken this English guy to a forest somewhere in Albania. He had a portkey. Harry asked to see it. The tour guide took him there. The tour guide became tea for Nagini. Harry rolled away and cast fiendfyre. The spell took out the snake, the portkey, the shack where Riddle had lived, all his papers and books and the forest. Harry had caused the biggest forest fire in Albania's history. With his reserves very low, Harry had turned a twig into a portkey and got back to the ground.
England narrowly won 140-130 thanks to their seeker catching the snitch. Harry was happy to pose for pictures with the team. They made a triumphant return to England. Harry did not have the heart to tell this English team that Woods trained them to be more of a unit than this team was. Harry had another night in Godric's Hollow with a shower and washing his grass-stained clothes. He fell asleep. When he awoke it was Monday morning and he was due to eat breakfast. Harry knew he'd have to face the music.
Harry managed to eat breakfast before being called to Flitwick's office. The Headmaster had forbidden Harry from leaving Hogwarts during term time. Harry told Flitwick that he would appeal to the Governors. Unfortunately, since it was the Headmaster, Flitwick said Harry would have to obey. Harry almost told Flitwick there was no chance of that. He went to send a letter off to Sirius but there was no sign of Hedwig. Where was his owl?
That Monday night, Harry slept in his dorm room, protected by his defences. Tuesday morning there was no sign of Hermione. There was still no sign of Hedwig. Harry heard a rumour that Hermione was seriously hurt and was in the Infirmary. Harry went there. Hermione tearfully told him that she'd tried to confound him on Dumbledore's orders. Harry asked Hermione if she and family wanted to be under the Protection of House Potter. She said she did and Harry placed her and her family under the Protection of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Potter.
At lunch, Dumbledore demanded that Harry not protect himself. Harry used the sonorous spell on himself and let the Headmaster have a few home truths. He had offered and Hermione had accepted the protection of House Potter. Given that the Headmaster had attacked him, Harry would raising to lethal the spells protecting him. Harry demanded to know where his owl was.
Naturally, Dumbledore did not give any answers. Harry strained at the barriers, the bindings that he still felt around him. Dumbledore's eyes widened, though he schooled himself to make his features normal for his grandfatherly persona. Magic was rippling off Harry like it never should for an 11-year-old. The bindings broke. Dumbledore wondered how he was going to reapply those bindings.
Harry could have kicked himself for giving Dumbledore information. He did challenge the Headmaster. At the governors meeting on October 2nd, Dumbledore's hold over Hogwarts would either be confirmed or ended. Unless …
Harry went through classes on Tuesday and then upped his defenses to lethal. He made sure the house-elves knew that. He set them all before he went to supper. He ate and then left Hogwarts. He ran into George and Fred Weasley. This time they tried to stop him. This time he left them bleeding out from various diffindos and reductos. Harry only looked 11. Once out of the Hogwarts wards, Harry apparated to the nearest floo that was not controlled by a Dumbledore. Moments later, Harry was in 12 Grimmauld Place.
Lord Arcturus Black quizzed Harry on why he was there. The look on the Lord's face after Harry had explained what had happened would have scared veterans of the wars against Grindelward. Harry explained that he wanted charges of line theft laid against Dumbledore, McGonagall and Hagrid and murder charges against Snape for the murder of 4 Potters and 2 Evans.
Lord Abraxas Malfoy disliked mudbloods, but when one could help him nail Dumbledore, he'd chip in to help. The Malfoy anti-obliviation potion would be provided Hermione Granger, should she show signs of needing it.
Harry then sprang his surprise. He was descended from all 4 Founders. He owned Hogwarts. He was summoning an emergency Governors Meeting for Wednesday at 11 am. The next morning. The six adults went to see Amelia Bones who was working late, as usual. They filed the charges. Augusta Longbottom was called via floo. She came and saw the parchment summoning the emergency meeting that Amelia had already received. Lord Malfoy allowed himself a grin. He was also a governor. He would be attending. He would finally get one over on Albus Dumbledore.
Harry slept in Godric's Hollow. It was not the only house, but it was the only one with a wizard living in it. 50 years earlier the village had been a majority wizarding one. Grindelwald and the Knights of Walpurgis had a lot to answer for. Were they too hiding in the Shadows? Were they waiting for Voldemort to take power before they re-emerged?
The more Harry thought about it, the more he was convinced he had come back too late. He should have been brought back to when he was 7. Hogwarts had to be reformed at that time, not now. Better Snape had never been made Head of Slytherin or hired by Dumbledore in the first place. Harry would take what he could get. Yes, he could get Dumbledore fired, but nothing would change. Not soon enough.
Someone, and Harry would never know who, was about to accede to Harry's request to be sent back to when he was younger.
Harry woke up on the Dursleys doorstep. He was 15 months old. He was listening to Dumbledore, McGonagall and Hagrid talking about leaving him here. It was the night of 1 November 1981. Harry had failed to stop Sirius going after Pettigrew. Here he was being dumped on the Dursleys. Again. Harry hoped his memories would last until he was in a position to use them. Harry pushed through the binding his parents had put on him. He got thrown into his cupboard under the stairs.
Harry decided he'd move upstairs when he was 4. The Dursleys did not call him Harry. They used 'boy' and 'freak'. They tried to hit him. His accidental magic stopped them. Harry was aware there was a ward that drained him of magic. He'd fixed that. It drained him enough to power Dumbledore's toys, not that Harry knew that. It was not something that kept him as weak as it had the first time he'd gone through this. Harry enjoyed gardening. He did not enjoy Mrs Figg. He recognized Kneazles though. He got on their good side and soon had them watching out for him.
Dudley had tried to hit him, one day. Harry had sidestepped him and elbowed him in the back of the neck, ramming him into the wall. Dudley had been knocked out. The older Dursley s had tried to beat him up. Vernon had been held by a petrificus totalus and Petunia had been pinned against a wall.
"Don't ever try to attack me, again," Harry told his relatives. Ripper made Harry's acquaintance. Half a dozen Kneazles showed him the error of his ways. Ripper whimpered whenever Marge tried to set him on Harry.
The Dursleys retaliated by spreading the rumour that Harry was an incurably criminal boy. In reality, that was Dudley. Harry did work around his neighbourhood. He worked out where Dudley's gang members all lived. He earned a lot of money doing chores for people.
When Harry was 5, well, the September after, Harry started school. He remembered not to know his name until the teacher called it out. That evening Harry asked, "My teacher called my name out today. It's Harry James Potter. Did you not know this?"
Watching Vernon go a shade of puce was a particularly fun thing for Harry.
"Yes, we knew that, freak that you are. You could not be anything else with my sister being what she was," Petunia spat out.
"What was she, Aunt Petunia?" Harry asked, innocently.
"She was a freak, boy," Petunia said, her face turning a beetroot colour.
"Oh, you mean she was a witch and my dad was a wizard?" Harry asked, with more purpose.
"Don't use those words here, freak," Vernon said, preparing to hit Harry.
"Don't even think about hitting me," Harry said. Magic began to ripple off his body. Harry knew his magic could trigger the Ministry. He did not how that worked. He did have the means to put an end to that. His magic was not yet strong enough to work the spell. The trunks were in the attic. This Harry knew. He had to persuade the Dursleys to back off without actually using magic. At least, until he could cast the spell.
Harry was determined to have friends at school, Dudley and his four friends not withstanding. Harry was already more experienced than they were in Harry hunting. The Headmaster and his Deputy was as bad as he remembered. This was good practice for Dumbledore and McGonagall. They were about as effective.
When the Dudders five tried to bully a pupil, Harry organised his class into a bigger posse and saw them off. That was the first day. They tried it each day of the first week. They were run off, each time. The Headmaster and his Deputy got involved trying to make the defenders out to be the villains of the peace. They were not successful. Stubborn 5-year-olds who dug in their heels and told the same story to their parents soon had several very riled up parents. When one worked for Surrey Education department that was not a good move on the part of the two teachers. That official was able to spend the weekend looking in to all the records of the school. There were consistent reports of bullying that were not dealt with. They were covered up. Pupils injured in previous years by other bullies had their attacks written off as accidents.
The facts were presented at a meeting of the Education committee, but no action was taken against the Headmaster or his Deputy. This did not surprise Harry, who heard about the meeting from the official's daughter, later in the week.
Dudley's gang picked on other years. They weren't so well organised. When Harry and his year could stop attacks, they did. Harry made some good friends. He had a great first year. He'd moved into the bedroom. It was still great even with the locks on the outside of the door and bars on the window. He had a 6th birthday party that his friend Miriam hosted. Nearly the whole year group attended.
Harry's second year had an additional difficulty. Dudley and his four friends had put on height and weight. Harry had a year teacher who was friends with Vernon Dursley and the Headmaster. Harry still did exceptionally well in his studies. He had studied how to break windows, cause fires and make Molotov cocktails. Harry planned to firebomb all of Dudley's gang's houses, including his own. This was risky, but it should draw out the solicitors who had done work for Harry's parents. Harry had to delay the attacks because they had gone on holiday, when the school had broken up. Harry had been left £20 and a note of his cleaning assignments. He'd been told when to go to Mrs Figgs.
On Friday 31st July 1987, Harry turned 7. He went up into the attic and retrieved the trunks. The three spells to make the house unplottable, untrackable and untraceable went up. The Ministry could not react to him. Harry planned his actions out for when the Dursleys returned.
August 7th was a Friday and the Dursleys had been home a few days. That night, Harry grabbed Dudley's gloves, bat and bag. He dressed in his outside clothes, grabbed the Molotov cocktails and lighter and went on his hunt. One by one, Harry broke the window and chucked the Molotov cocktail through the window onto the carpet. The last one was 4 Privet Drive. Harry broke the window, hurled the Molotov cocktail onto the carpet and hurried upstairs putting the bat, bag and gloves back into Dudley's room. Harry went into his room, cast flame retardant spells to stop the fire reaching his bed and possessions such as he had. He changed into his pyjamas and got into bed. He was woken up by a fireman in his room. He was hustled out and wrapped up in a blanket. Hours later, Harry was approached by a solicitor who introduced himself to Harry as his father's solicitor, Mr Carstairs.
Harry went to Godric's Hollow. He cast the charm to end the Fidelius, the three spells to hide the property and started the process to get it repaired. He got the 13th Edition of A History of Magic from Bagshot. Harry killed Grindelwald. He was getting used to it. They had a good talk before Harry killed the man who had once been the most evil Dark Lord. Nurmengard was Harry's once more.
Harry explained his situation to his solicitor. The man had been well paid by his parents. He was a squib. He knew wizarding law, as well as the law of ordinary folk in England. Mr Carstairs told Harry that he had been kidnapped by Albus Dumbledore and Rubeus Hagrid. A wizarding court would not entertain a trial for a muggle crime. Thought it should. Harry had been illegally removed from his home by Albus Dumbledore and Rubeus Hagrid. That was Line Theft. He'd been left on a doorstep of muggles by Albus Dumbledore, Rubeus Hagrid and Minerva McGonagall. Allocating children who were orphans was the job of Wizarding Child Services There was a technical charge for that. Sirius Orion Black was Harry's godfather. The oath he swore would have killed him had betrayed the Potters. He had been sent to Azkaban without trial. Harry knew Sirius had blood adopted him, Carstairs did not.
Carstairs gave Harry a cap to cover up his lightning scar and took him to Gringotts. The goblin they saw in the line was surprised to see a squib in the line and even more surprised when the man demanded to see the Potter account manager Bladestorm. The goblin's demand for a vault key was contemptuously turned down by the man. That the man bore the Potter crest was ample proof.
Mr Carstairs handed Bladestorm 2 knuts. Bladestorm became agitated when told that Harry Potter had not had Gringotts assistance as the contract between the Potters and Gringotts specified. Harry was subject to a mail redirect. Harry added that there was a blood ward, where he lived that used his blood that he'd obviously not consented to have taken. Gringotts for their part did not recognize the Wizengamot's actions in making Albus Dumbledore Harry Potter's magical guardian nor their action to seal the Potter Wills.
Harry and Carstairs listened to 6 Potter Wills and 2 Evans'. Harry wanted to know why they had muggle wills. The muggles were both squibs. That was news to Harry. There was a farm, Lupin's own that the Potters had bought for use by Lupin and his descendants in perpetuity. Remus Lupin also had 20000 galleons bequeathed to him. James Potter had not named a Regent for Harry. That meant he had not known he was the Lord. Harry was therefore Lord with full rights. That usually spelt doom for whichever House ended up in that state. Harry's second bombshell that Dumbledore had stolen Potter House heirlooms and had an Order of Merlin despite his actions against Grindelwald not being on magical British land. Harry left wearing the Potter Lord ring. The discovery of a marriage contract between Harry and Ginerva Molly Weasley signed by Molly Weasley and Albus Dumbledore angered all three parties present.
The goblins would recover items Dumbledore had stolen from the Potters; the Vault Key to 687, the Invisibility Cloak, the Potter family Grimoire, Lord Charlus Potter's time-turner, the Throne, the pensieve, the Genealogy of the Potters and an unknown quantity of Harry's blood. The Potter accoiunt ledgers were apparently the property of Gringotts and Soul Anchors wasa Black the time travelling harry Potter was 18. He did not, howver, gain entry to the Fleamnot vault.
The goblins agreed not to press the matter of the stolen items until Dumbledore had lost the position as Chief Warlock.
Mr Carstairs took Harry to see Ted Tonks. He was a muggleborn who specialized in wizarding law. He was forced to operate out of Knockturn Alley. Harry suppressed a smirk. Mr Tonks listened to Harry's story. Ted was going to enjoy pressing a charge of Line Theft on Albus too-many-bloody-names Dumbledore. Acting for the Boy-Who-Lived would do wonders for his reputation. His mood improved even more, when he was informed that Harry wanted Andromeda Tonks, his wife, to act as Harry's proxy in the Wizengamot. He would have to wait until Amelia Bones had done her piece. Ted had grinned.
Amelia Bones was shocked to see a squib in her office. Her monocle fell out of her right eye on seeing the scar on the forehead of the Boy-Who-Lived.
"Madam Bones, we are preparing a case against Albus Dumbledore. There are a number of things that we require to be gone before that can happen," Carstairs said.
"The 1919 Act prohibiting wizards from fighting in muggle wars is an act of Treason. It has to be repealed. The Wizengamot decision to exclude the Potters from the Wizengamot has to be reversed. The Wizengamot motion making Albus Dumbledore my magical guardian must be removed. Arthur Weasley needs to be in the Weasley seat to disavow Molly Weasley tying me to a marriage contract with Ginerva Molly Weasley, unless he wants to be the subject of a Line Theft motion, too. The Potter Wills must be unsealed. Then Sirius Orion Black must be put on trial for the attempted murder of me. He's my godfather who swore the Black oath. He never had a trial. The Order of Merlin must be rescinded. Dumbledore's Order of Merlin was granted for an action not on magical British soil. Once you have done all that, Ted Tonks will bring two motions, one to recognize Andromeda Tonks as my proxy to the seats House Potter holds in the Wizengamot. I'd like both my mother and myself to have the Order of Merlin, First Class awarded, replacing Dumbledore and Pettigrew on the Wizengamot. The second motion will be Line Theft on Dumbledore and others," Harry said.
"You don't want much, do you?" Amelia Bones said. She'd replaced her monocle whilst Harry had been speaking.
"That rare commodity, Justice," Mr Carstairs said.
"None left behind," Harry said, intoning the Potter family motto. "If the Prewett's can be persuaded to take their seat, too, Dumbledore will have no seat available to him to use. He will lose his position as Chief Warlock and his position as Supreme Mugwump. It will then just be case of voting him out of Hogwarts. Once his actions against me are published in the Daily Prophet, he'll lose the support he had. If he starts spouting The Greater Good, point out that that was Grindelwald's slogan, too."
"You have left me with a great deal to think about, Lord Potter. Don't worry, I think I can pull that off for the Boy-Who-Lived," Amelia said. Harry smiled.
"I'm under a mail redirect. I'd like all the mail that should have come to me," Harry said. "And the redirect removed."
Amelia Bones realised why Susan, her niece, had never received an answer to any of the letters she had written to Harry Potter. Harry Potter had never received any letters. The Potters were going for a total removal of Dumbledore from his positions. She watched them leave.
Back in Godric's Hollow, Carstairs briefed Harry on his muggle assets. Harry knew the portfolio that Lily had and the accounts for looking after the house and the three homes he owned. He had his own general account set up in the name of Henry Evans. £60000 sat in there, a bequest of his grandparents. He figured some of that should go into a college fund. Mr Carstairs thought putting three quarters into such a fund was a good idea. Carstairs liked the idea of going after arrears in rent from both Dursleys. Harry was sad that Snape owed no rent. He was up to date in his payments.
Harry received some less good news. He'd have to go back and live with the Dursleys at 4 Privet Drive. Dudley had been arrested for the attacks and been convicted. The other families had already moved away from Little Whinging. The one attack had lead to veiled threats about what would happen if they stayed. Harry laughed when he heard that Dudley was being sent to St Brutus' Centre for Incurably Criminal Boys until he was 11.
The Dursleys had cried crocodile tears and said they thought Harry had been the criminal. They'd been looking after him after his parents had been killed by some terrorist, hence no pictures of him anywhere. Vernon Dursley wasn't the best salesman at Grunnings for nothing. Harry knew he'd be promoted to General Managing Director.
Harry knew that he'd have to pass muster at Mrs Figg. He could not suddenly appear healthy. He'd have to remain slightly underfed. The Dursleys were not going to feed him properly. They were now getting money for him. They could not keep all of the money. They did pay the arrears. Marge Dursley complained bitterly that she was going to have to pay arrears. Her colonel neighbour had proposed to her. She accepted. She would become a country squire's wife. She would not be visiting the Dursleys in Surrey anymore. The property and business would be sold. Harry was pleased about that. Harry had set up a post box at the post office in Little Whingeing.
Harry was crossing his fingers for Dumbledore's removal.
