Harry Potter returns to 4 Privet Drive a broken boy. He's seen another boy callously cut down in front of him, he's been forced to duel Voldemort, seen the ghosts of his parents and been told how proud they are of him. Then Dumbledore makes him return to Durzkaban, instead of spending the Summer with Sirius. Harry is emotionally exhausted.

At 15, Harry did not know a lot of things. He had no idea about the prophecy. He did not know about horcrux. He does not know why his scar hurts when he's around one. The prophecy is in one of James notes in his Journal. Sirius has been recuperating at a Health Spa his family owns in the South of France. It's not far from Beauxbatons and a fairly major Veela colony. Sirius still feels guilty that he was not the Secret Keeper.

Harry Potter went back in time again, starting as the 15 -month old toddler left on the Dursley doorstep.

Albus Dumbledore arrived for the Wizengamot Meeting on Tuesday 1st September 1987 full of expectation. He noticed that there was a Prewett in the Prewitt seat, a Weasley in the Weasley seat and Ollivander, Slughorn and Shacklebolt were all in their seats. The new Slytherin head Boy was in the Hogwarts seat.

Albus called the meeting to order and Regent Bones called for judicial matters to be brought before the Wizengamot. As per convention, Minister for Magic Fudge took over the gavel.

Amelia Bones stood and moved the repeal of the 1919 Act forbidding wizards from fighting in muggle wars. Pointing out the inimical effect that had had on Wizarding Britian in the Second World War/Grindelwald war had the effect of making wizards see the sense of repealing the Act. Dumbledore spoke against doing this. The repeal passed 33-17.

The second repeal saw the Potters rights to representation in the Wizengamot restored. Dumbledore had spoken against that too.

Bones then brought in Sirius Orion Black and tried him for the attempted murder of Harry James Potter. Naturally, Black was cleared and released with a 60000-galleon compensation. Lord Arcturus Black was very pleased by this development. Sirius had time in the Black Health Spa to look forward to.

Amelia Bones was then able to award Orders of Merlin, First Class to both Harry James Potter and Lily Potter. She was then able to remove Dumbledore and Pettigrew from their awards. They were replaced by the Potters.

Amelia was then able to persuade the Wizengamot to remove Dumbledore as Lord Potter's magical guardian. She was then able to unseal the Potter Wills. She then moved that Andromeda Tonks be made the Potter Proxy for their 4 seats on the Wizengamot.

Albus Dumbledore's face dropped. He no longer held a seat on the Wizengamot, not even by proxy. He was no longer Chief Warlock and could no longer be Britain's representative on the ICW. He was no longer Supreme Mugwump. Dumbledore called for Fawkes and departed before the control of the Wards passed to someone else.

The following morning, Dumbledore received a letter informing him that he was no longer Grand Sorcerer. The Daily Prophet noted that Augusta Longbottom nee Rosier had been elected Chief Warlock.

Albus Dumbledore attended the School Governors meeting assured on his position. He was frequently voted out 9-3 by the Governors and stayed in place as Headmaster by the virtue of 1 vote. This vote against went 10-2. Dumbledore was booted out of Hogwarts.

Pomona Sprout was appointed the new Headmistress with Filius Flitwick as her Deputy. Staffing changes were made. Snape, Trelawney, Kettleburn, Quirrell and McGonagall were fired. In addition, Filch was fired. Binns was fired, too. A dozen new Professors were hired. Slughorn returned to teach Potions and Remus Lupin became DADA professor. It was known that he was a werewolf, bitten by Greyback as a child. The other nine were from outside Europe from schools much higher in the international rankings than Hogwarts.

Dumbledore returned the Gringotts account ledgers and Soul Anchors book to the Blacks. He did not return any of the Potter stuff, including the High Chair. He even kept the Vault Key. That was out of spite. Albus' bolthole in the London Underground was well equipped. He was able to house all his books and possessions. He had the printing press that he published the Young Harry Potter Adventures on, as Bumblebee publishing. Gilderoy Lockhart wrote the books under the pseudonym Roy Lock. The Young Harry books sold better than his own books did. Dumbledore held a monopoly on magical ink production thanks to the Squid in the Black Lake and drew in a good income from selling the Acromantula silk that he'd persuaded Rubeus Hagrid had no market. The man, well half-giant, worshipped the ground he, Albus Dumbledore, walked on.

Harry read the Daily Prophet. He was pleased Dumbledore had gone, but saddened that the truth had not come out. The man was a master manipulator and only needed to control Harry, once he reached Hogwarts. Harry had appearances to keep up. He complained that the Dursleys did not spend the money on him and, after the County had assured itself that Harry could look after money responsibly, paid the money direct to him. The Dursleys had to remove the locks on his door and the bars on his window. Harry had the bolts fitted on the inside. He could keep the Dursleys out, without using magic. His clothing improved, but not beyond what Dudley would have been wearing.

Once more, Harry retrieved the trunks of his parents. Harry was pleased that Remus Lupin got his home back, even if the man still did not visit him. Was he still Dumbledore's man? Harry picked up his 9" Redwood wand with tail feather of a thunderbird from the wand shop in Knockturn Alley. Harry compiled a case against Snape. Harry trained himself in the spells of Hogwarts and Aurors that James Potter had done. Harry worked on his control pf fiendfyre.

The Blacks assisted in the destruction of the three lost artefacts of the Founders - cup, diadem and locket. Remus Lupin would become the first DADA Professor in more than two decades to teach for a second year. By Christmas 1987, there was one Soul Anchor, Nagini, and the controller soul piece, in Harry, left of Riddle's 7 soul pieces.

Harry had fiendfyred the Gaunt Shack to obtain the Peverell ring and Resurrection Stone. He had summoned Dobby, who had responded and told him to put a sock in the diary belonging to Tom Riddle, catch it when Lucius threw the sock away and bring him the diary. This Dobby had done. Another soul anchor had been fiendfyred.

Harry's property portfolio had received £120000 from rent arrears and sale of the property marge Dursley had been in. Harry had invested £90000 in Microsoft shares and £20000 in Premium Bonds. The £15000 Harry received from Vernon Dursley was added to the £10000 and invested in the overnight money market, less the amount that had to remain in the account to keep it active.

Harry Potter was determined to use his culinary skills, so he joined the cooking team at his primary school. He still had to keep the Dursleys fed and ate after they had finished.

Harry discovered that his Evans grandfather had been called Michael Evans and his grandmother Isolde Evans nee Inchcombe. Harry's property in Godric's Hollow became owned by a Paul Inchcombe. His name was on the TV License, Phone Bill and Rates. Mr Carstairs had fun creating the entirely fictious person.

Harry visited the Ministry to listen to the prophecy. Don't both live til Harry is eighteen or they'll both keel over was what Harry took away. arry's 18 opr they#'ll both keel was not able to get to Pettigrew, as Percy Weasley had taken him to Hogwarts. The rat would keep.

Harry visited his parents' graves in Godric's Hollow. They were buried there, yet Dumbledore claimed both Potter Manor and Fleamont Hall had both been destroyed. Had that been the case the wards would have fallen and they could have been buried at one of the sites. Dumbledore had lied.

Dumbledore had got to Godric's Hollow very quickly from what 15-year-old Harry remembered Hagrid as saying. He monitored his parents. Harry had to assume he was being monitored, so he could not escape either.

Harry thought it was obvious that Wormtail was preparing a ritual for Tom to take him over and pretend the Voldemort was dead only to have a Riddle possessed Harry start Hogwarts and begin the reign of terror, anew. Only for Lily to hijack the ritual. With the controlling soul piece in Harry, Riddle had no way to activate any of his soul anchors. The construct that Riddle became was limited in mass to the size Harry was at 15-months and Albania was where Riddle had made his base to prevent anyone finding it. Dumbledore must have known, though. He directed Quirrell to Albania, after all. Dumbledore must have known Quirrell was effectively dead, when he encountered Riddle. Dumbledore may not kill directly, but he was not above having somebody else do his dirty work for him.

Harry delayed going to see Neville Longbottom, just in case Dumbledore was keeping tabs on him as well. Neville needed his own wand as soon as possible. His father's just did not work properly for him. Harry did need wizarding etiquette lessons and education in the Wizengamot. Augusta Longbottom, vulture hat and all, was just the one to give him those. She was Chief Warlock, which limited her time.

Harry had Mr Carstairs contact Augusta Longbottom and present Harry's requests. Harry had made it clear that he was doing this under Dumbledore's nose and the man could not know. That seemed to be the right approach. Harry was soon taking lessons with Neville Longbottom, Susan Bones and Hannah Abbott. Regent Longbottom was a hard taskmistress. Neville mentioned that he and Harry had flown on brooms together when they were babies. No session, thereafter, was complete without a flyby terrifying the house-elves.

Neville proved not to be a squib. Harry was glad Neville would not have to get dropped to show that he was magical. Susan and Hannah were both going through their pigtail phase that would last until Hogwarts.

Harry Potter forgot that Dumbledore could get to the Dursleys outside of 4 Privet Drive. Harry encountered Dumbledore in the property and only a lucky cast of obliviate saved him. The Dursleys did go mad trying to get into Harry's room. Harry had to delve into Mind Magics in a lot more depth than he'd ever wanted to or imagined that he'd have to.

One advantage of having access to his mother's textbooks were the annotations that guided him in wards, portkeys and mind magics. According to his mother, James Potter tried to read her mind. His father's journals glorified the pranks, as James called them, on Snivellus, who Harry realised was Severus Snape. Harry was disgusted that his father had been a bully, even if Snivellus was a disgusting human being with a very poor choice of friends. Harry knew from older Harry's memories that Snape still was a disgusting human being who had no business teaching children.

Truth be told there were few teachers who could actually teach. McGonnafail could teach. Flitwick could. Remus could. How that coward ever made it into Gryffindor Harry did not know. The man had not sought him out, preferring to do Dumbledore's bidding. He had taught Harry the expecto patronus charm, so that was a plus in the man's favour. Runes, Arithmancy and Astronomy all had competent teachers. Sprout was a good teacher.

James had written that Snape overheard part of a prophecy, the prophecy, from Trelawney in the Hog's Head. Older Harry had the memory of another prophecy from Trelawney. That had been given in full, in a different voice. Harry did not doubt that Trelawney had made the prophecy to Dumbledore, in private and Dumbledore had then stage-managed the pub incident to bring Snape 'back to the light', by dangling Lily in front of him. Dumbledore never had any intention of letting Lily survive. Harry knew Snape had murdered his Evans grandparents. He was pretty sure the man had killed 4 Potters. He knew for a fact that Snape had attempted to kill Pandora Lovegood and believed had succeeded despite Harry's best efforts and Sirius' relatives had been on his hitlist. Harry was pretty sure Dumbledore had put him up to it. Millicent Bagnold had been another who stood in Dumbledore's way and been removed by Snape. Harry was sure of it.

Harry's Mind Magics did take time away from controlling the fiendfyre area spell. Harry found his mind a lot more organised as a result of his meditation. Harry made sure he played with his friends like Mirian and Cassie. Gertrude or Trudi became a friend during the school year. The kids at school made jokes about Harry's harem. That caused red faces all around.

Mr Carstairs managed to get all the money the Dursleys weren't spending on Harry paid directly to Harry. Harry had an extra 130000 from the sale of the house and business Marge Dursley was renting. On top of that was 20000 in back rent. That made £112,500 available for investment. All that was invested in Microsoft. Vernon never shut up about them. He said his financial advisor was making a mistake getting him to invest in them. Harry thought that was an excellent recommendation. Harry had no idea what Microsoft did. His mother had invested in them, too, according to Mr Carstairs.

Harry worked in the local restaurant, too, starting from age 8. He learned how to cook for large number at school and how to budget for a clientele at his more exclusive restaurant. Harry kept cooking for the Dursleys. Harry reckoned he could win Junior Masterchef. Older Harry had heard Dudley and his gang discussing the show. It was about food, so no surprise there.

Harry did odd jobs for his neighbours. His aim was to earn £1000 to buy a top of the range telescope to take to Hogwarts. The kneazles at Mrs Figg's agreed to watch out for Harry. That was a step up from what older Harry had remembered. Harry was able to go to his home in Godric's Hollow and out to Nurmengard. He had a full life. He was happy and very productive at school. His intelligence shone like a beacon.

Harry made firm friends with Neville Longbottom. Neville soon filled him in about the terrible attack on his parents. They often played with Susan Bones and Hannah Abott. In Harry's final school year at his primary school, Daphne Greengrass and Tracey Davis joined them. The six became firm friends. Neville even got himself his own wand. Harry did ask Augusta what would happen if Frank and Alice did not remember being attacked. Harry recommended Lockhart. Obliviate was his best spell.

Harry had acquired Dobby by the expedient method of having him bring the Diary from Malfoy after getting him to put one of Draco's socks in it. Malfoy chucked the sock where Dobby caught it and the house-elf vanished with the Diary before Lucius realised what was happening. Dobby was perfectly happy cleaning Godric's Hollow and Nurmengard. Dobby never tired of telling Harry the story.

Harry managed to save Pandora Lovegood's life. He saved the four members of Sirius' family and Abraxas Malfoy. Harry had not had much to do with his Black relatives. Harry knew Dumbledore was keeping tabs on him. Harry expected the man to return to his positions before he started Hogwarts.

Dudley was let out in time for his 11th birthday and the visit to the zoo. Harry did his disappearing glass trick and freed the snake. Harry still did not understand how he had vanished the glass. Harry was shown around Diagon Alley by Deputy Headmaster Filius Flitwick. He regaled Harry with tales of Hogwarts glory. Sprout had raised the results to 4thout of 11th in the International Schools rankings. This was a considerable success.

Harry had told Sirius that it was vitally important that he be awarded 'all that my father was, I am now' title at the Wizengamot. He also wanted to be able to communicate with Sirius. Sirius handed him one of the two-way mirrors.

The Wizengamot meeting 1 August 1991 saw the return of Dumbledore. He retook the position of Chief Warlock. He would retake the position of Supreme Mugwump, a week later at a special meeting. The Board of Governors returned Dumbledore to being Headmaster. His campaign had borne fruit. The Wizengamot had restored the position of Magical Guardian of Harry Potter to Albus Dumbledore and removed Andromeda Tonks as Harry's proxy. Andromeda and Sirius Black had protested the decision.

Dumbledore failed to remove Amos Diggory from his position as Minister and Arthur Weasley remained Senior Undersecretary. Dumbledore could not get his Order of Merlin restored. Dumbledore wasted no time in restoring the crap teachers and personnel to Hogwarts. Sprout and Flitwick were retained as professors and Heads of House.

Harry had a letter printed in the daily prophet stating that if his possessions were not returned within a month, House Potter would declare Blood Feud against House Dumbledore. Albus retorted that Harry was going Dark. Harry responded to that that Albus was not his magical guardian and had no right to call him Harry. Albus remained convinced that Sirius Black was behind 'Harry's' letters.

Harry trained hard during August in the Nurmengard fighting pit. He did have a date with the Peverell ring to cleanse it and reclaim it. This he did. Harry created a portkey to Albania and used a very nice fiendfyre to remove Nagini from this plane of existence.

Harry was on board the Hogwarts Express in good time. 1st September 1991 was a good day. Augusta would withdraw Frank and Alice form St Mungos' and have Lockhart obliviate them of the attack. Sirius would try again to get Harry the 'all my father was, I am now' marker. Sirius was determined to remove Dumbledore as Harry's guardian. It went without saying that Albus Dumbledore had not returned any of Harry's possessions, including his blood.

Harry sat with his five friends. About 17:30 he felt the mirror vibrate. Harry stepped outside to take the call. Sirius said he got the 'all my father was, I am now' that he wanted. Dumbledore was removed as Harry guardian. Andromeda got the proxy votes back. Dumbledore was on the war path, Sirius said.

Harry told Daphne and Tracey to leave the feast after they had finished eating. A visit to the loos was needed Harry suggested. Daphne and Tracey looked worried. They agreed to do as Harry suggested.

Neville, Harry, Susan and Hannah got into the boat and all gasped on their first sight of Hogwarts. Harry was also affected like the others. Older Harry's memories did not do Hogwarts justice. Neville did not lose Trevor.

The first change the Sorting Hat made that Harry could remember was sending Hermione Granger to Ravenclaw. She'd likely had Sprout visit her and been told about the prejudice in the wizarding world. Then he remembered that Trevor Boot who'd ending up in Gryffindor had been a Ravenclaw. In older Harry's memories. Neville was sorted into Hufflepuff. Both Patels ended up in Gryffindor. Zacharias Smith was sorted into Gryffindor. Ron Weasley was sorted into Slytherin. He was heard muttering 'wait 'til my mother hears about this'. Blaise Zabini went into Gryffindor.

The Sorting Hat was put out that Harry had strong enough shields to prevent the Sorting Hat from sorting him. Harry had thought that he'd take Ravenclaw. After ten minutes of argument, the Sorting Hat relented and announced, "Ravenclaw". Harry took one look at Dumbledore and saw that his twinkle had vanished, along with his grandfatherly persona. He saw the wizard that Moldyshorts feared. Harry chose a seat where he could attack Slytherin, Snape, McGonnagal and leap up onto the teachers' desk and strangle Quirrellmort.

The meal was as good as he remembered. He ate better, too. Harry wondered how the Dursleys would cope with the eviction notice that would arrive on the morrow. By the time he was due to return, 4 Privet Drive would have been sold. Harry noticed Hermione looking at him. Harry smiled at her.

The meal came to an end. Harry saw Daphne and Tracey leave the room. He got up onto the table as Dumbledore began his speech. Penny Clearwater cast sonorous on him.

"I, Henry James Potter, Lord of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Potter do hereby declare Blood Feud on all Death Eaters and their families and on Albus Dumbledore for your refusal to return my property and my blood that you stole from House Potter, I, Henry James Potter, Lord of the Noble and Most Ancient House of Potter do hereby declare Blood Feud on House Dumbledore."

Harry drew his holly wand and cast fiendfyre on the Slytherin House. He was drawing his second redwood wand and casting "Expelliarmus'" at McGonnagal, sending her 20 years backwards into a wall. His holly wand cast "Avada Kedavra ", at Snape. The wizard was taken by surprise, and died.

Harry leapt onto the teachers' table, reholstered both wands and strangled Quirrellmort. Harry drew both wands to cast protego maxima against Dumbledore whilst Voldemort attempted to possess him and a depulso against the wraith and black blob that had been ejected from his skull. Harry took a moment to see what the reaction of the Hall was. Hermione had confounded both the twin Weasleys. Of course she had. Neville, Hannah and Susan had put Percy down and were standing, wands drawn, defending Harry.

Albus Dumbledore was firing jinxes at Harry. He would try to talk Harry, no, Tom down.

"Harry, you are taking a very dark road. You can come back from this."

Flitwick recognised the spell chain Harry fired. It had won him his last Duelling Championship. Dumbledore was hit by a couple of the jinxes. Other than that, he was unharmed.

"Quit your mewling, you evil old man. You sent Snape to murder my muggle grandparents. You sent him to murder Charlus, Dorea, Fleamont and Euphmeia Potter. You set up my parents to be murdered. You meant for me to die. I know you sent Snape to murder Pandora Lovegood and 4 members of House Black and Abraxas Malfoy. I was the one who stopped him."

Albus was shocked. "They were only muggles."

"They were both squibs. You stole from me; you took me from my home without authority and you took my blood. You have twice, illegally, had the Wizengamot name you my magical guardian. You are not and never have been my magical guardian. All that my father was, I am now."

"Depulso," Harry shouted at the phoenix. The wind knocked it back. Well, if the wards did not have Harry tied to them, he would not be able to apparate and this battle would have only one outcome. Harry apparated to Dumbledore's left at neck level. He was there; "Reducto", Harry shouted and cast the spell from both wands. Dumbledore's head rolled onto the floor. Harry dropped to the floor. The fiendyre resolved itself into the Vanyar High Elf Lord Glorfindel, mounted on white steed. Harry inclined his head, in greeting. Glorfindel smiled. Harry recognised him from Tolkien's description.

Sprout took charge and ordered the prefects to take their houses to their dorms. Harry picked Dumbledore's pockets and retrieved the time-turner from around his neck. Daphne and Tracey were already in their dorm, waiting for everyone else to return from the Welcoming Feast. Sprout would be visiting them once she had dealt with the Aurors who showed up to arrest Harry Potter.

Harry Potter was able to thank Hermione for standing with him. He offered her the Protection of House Potter. She did not know what that meant. She said she'd provisionally agree, pending her research. Before Harry went to sleep, he sent a messenger patronus to Lord Arcturus Black suggesting he check which Malfoy was still alive. Lord Black did so with alacrity. On the Wall of Life, one Lucius Malfoy was present. There was no Abraxas. Lucius was pretending to be Abraxas. Polyjuice. If Lord Black had his way, there'd be no Lucius Malfoy on the morrow.

The following morn, Harry sent a patronus message to Amelia Bones. He told her of the 30 Death Eaters, the Carrows who might be abroad, Peter Pettigrew and Igor Karkarof. Amelia wrote the names down and gulped. 14 were Lords of the Wizengamot, some worked in her department and 15 others also worked in her department. Pettigrew was not on the Wall of Life.

Amelia made her way to Hogwarts to see the trail of carnage that Harry Potter had left behind. Dawlish and 5 Aurors wanted to arrest the 11-year-old. Harry had declared Blood Feud against Death Eaters and Dumbledore. He'd wiped out house Slytherin aside from two first years and he was friends with them. Amelia would find out what they knew.

Amelia read the Daily Prophet's lead stories. They painted Harry Potter as a crazed Dark Lord. She almost pitied Cuffe. The Black and Potter combined stock controlled over two thirds of the voting shares.

Amelia arrived in the Great Hall to hear a Howler. She'd heard that voice enough times. Molly Weasley. She heard Harry Potter's, "Who the fuck is that cunt?" ring out. Amelia agreed with Harry Potter. Everyone who had ever received one of her Howlers thought exactly the same. Harry followed that up with,

"I'll bet Arthur Weasley does not know she used amortentia on him." Amelia did not know that Harry Potter suspected that when Dumbledore died the spells making him the useless ineffectual so-called muggle expert also died. He ought to revert to his Knight of Walpurgis personality. Amelia did know that she would have to investigate that accusation. Harry Potter was not finished.

"Barty Crouch senior visits his son in Azkaban taking his wife along. His son dies, despite being in good health before his father visited him. Did anyone think to check the then head of the Department of Magical Law Enforcement for Polyjuice potions? The four Death eaters who attacked the Longbottoms got trials, which was more than Crouch gave Sirius Black. Crouch will answer to our Houses. He deprived me of my magical guardian. I want all Death Eaters killed, including those in Azkaban. I see Cuffe has commissioned stories that I am a Dark Lord in training. He'll be printing a retraction tomorrow, if he wants to keep his job. Now, I have to see about sending a Howler to a near squib."

Older Harry had never seen Molly Weasley cast any spells. Harry did not know how powerful she was. Her brothers had both been powerful wizards.

"Hold it right there, Potter," Dawlish said. "You murdered three men and put a witch into St Mungos."

"Accuse me of murder again, Dawlish, and I will kill you." This was no 11-year-old, Amelia thought. This one had gone through experiences that had moulded him into a killing machine. Merlin knew what those had been. If Dawlish could not see the danger he was in, he deserved what was going to happen to him. Still,

"Stand down, Dawlish," Amelia Bones ordered. Dawlish reluctantly complied.

Pomona Sprout took charge. She explained to Harry Potter that she did not want him around for at least a term. Hogwarts could not cope with his presence, until everything was sorted out and the facts became known. Harry thought that was a load of hogwash. He did not want to disparage Sprout or challenge her authority, though.

"Yes, Headmistress."

Amelia Bones wondered if Pomona realised she'd just been endorsed by Harry Potter. From the look that appeared in her eyes, she did. Harry would have some time to say his goodbyes. Harry told his five friends that he had made Hermione Granger a protectorate of House Potter and they were to welcome her. She'd need to taught Wizarding Etiquette. Somehow, no-one mentioned that subject to the Grangers. They agreed, reluctantly.

Harry could not find Hermione. He did not have his map. The Blacks came to collect him. They made their displeasure at Harry being suspended very clear.

Harry went to Gringotts, first. He drew out 2000 galleons. He then went to Gorgin and Burke's and bought the Hand of Glory. Allegedly, this device permitted access to anything. The Blacks would need this to bring down nobles of the Wizengamot, whose properties were defended by very potent spells. Harry did not know that Lucius Malfoy had met his end that very morning. He would not have been unduly bothered.

Harry checked the Wall of Life. Tom Marvolo Riddle and Peter Pettigrew did not appear on it, anymore. That was done, then. Abeforth Dumbledore had given up all the Potter property that Dumbledore had and ceded all Dumbledore property and belongings in magical Britain. Would Harry give up the Blood Feud? Harry accepted those terms. Mr Carstairs said that Castle Dumbledore was behind his house in Godric's Hollow and needed £50m spent on renovations. Harry asked him to apply for whatever grants he could.

Harry knew Dumbledore had a map of the London Underground under a scar. That meant Dumbledore's fortune was somewhere in the London Underground. Mundungus Fletcher would know and Dung had no idea that Harry knew what he looked like.

At 5pm, Harry met with the Durmstrang Deputy Headmaster, Professor Eversham. The man accepted him into Durmstrang. The Blacks had paid 1500 galleons to cover Harry's expenses. The textbooks were all in German. Harry could attend, Mr Eversham had said, if he could find Durmstrang. Harry needed to take a translation potion. It was in 1001 Moste Potente Potions. Grindelwald had been there. To Durmstrang. Making the potion that going to be his first order of business.

Grindelwald had taken the potion, until he'd got his German where it needed to be. He used a variant of the potion in the book. Harry copied his recipe. He acquired the ingredients. A copy of the map showing how to get to Durmstrang and a copy of the layout of the school. It looked like one of those Gothic monstrosities that the Dursleys had never taken him to. The uniform could only be purchased. The currency was the Reichsthaller. 1 sickle = 1 Reichthaller = 100 cents. Great, Harry thought. Another stupid wizarding currency. He could exchange Galleons for Reichsthallers at the Gnome Bank in Zurich. Wait? The Gnomes of Zurich were real? Harry shook his head. Even the Muggles had heard of these guys.

Harry sent a letter to Hermione with Hedwig.

Dear Hermione,

I'm off to a term at Durmstrang. Wish me luck. I'd like you to keep Hedwig for me. She likes rashes of bacon and please visit her in the Owlery. She gets lonely. You're under the Protection of House Potter That means you'll get some leeway in how you treat others. My friends are heirs to 3 Noble and Most Ancient Houses and 2 heirs to Noble Houses. Their families are all on the Wizengamot. The Blacks, another Noble and most Ancient House, headed by Lord Arcturus Black look after my interests. Sirius Black is my magical guardian, not that, as my own Regent, I need one.

If you learn Wizarding Etiquette, you'll fit in better. I'm sure the teachers will soon realise that you know the subjects. Please do not answer questions. They need to know what everyone else knows. Look upon it a challenge to write your essays no longer than the teachers ask for. They already know the textbooks, so you do not have to feed them back to them. Not that you would, of course.

George and Fred Weasley have a Map made by my father and his friends. It's activated by 'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good' and ended by 'Mischief Managed'. Please get it off them. My friends should help you. I hope they'll be your friends, too.

There's someone starting next year, If I'm not back, Luna Lovegood will need a friend. Her neighbours, the Weasleys call her Looney. Her hair is the same colour as Draco Malfoy's was. I've no idea why that is the case. You may want to research that.

Well. I wanted to research my family tree, once I knew who I was. I never had the opportunity. I was always going to get around to it. Perhaps I was afraid of what I'd find. Who knows? Maybe Somerset House, okay St Catherine's, has a wizard section.
