Chapter three:
The blonde quickly glances around himself after hearing not just Haruhi's shock but some of the other demons too. "You didn't think I'd get this human all set up just to say bye. No no no!" He smirks a little at the other demons. "This will ensure that while the human has the lust affected said human will not become competition for our club." He brings a hand to his chin and eyes closed almost as if trying to make a charming thinking pose. "It's the perfect strategy. Once the lust effect is gone then it can be decided what will happen from then. For now it's best to keep the human close to our group." He opens one eye to look at the other demons. "We could truly use this opportunity to our advantage."
"The club is supposed to be made with those we trust. Not whoever just wants to join." One of the two ginger demons mentions.
"This could lead to great opportunities." A black haired demon, with glare on his glasses to hide his eyes, adjusts his glasses though his eyes remain hidden.
"Yay! A new friend!" The smallest demon of them all bounces in excitement.
"Do I get a say in any of this?" Haruhi tries to protest. She meets the blonde's eyes as he turns to her with both eyes open now. She also sees his hand drop to be at his side.
"Are you truly opposed to this? You'll be the talk of the school either way. Why not embrace it even if for only awhile?" The blonde does blink with a sad tearful look.
Haruhi keeps her cool not letting herself fall for that. "I don't want to draw attention to myself. I'm not interested in these kind of club activities." She notices a heartbroken look cross the blondes eyes. She even ignores how his tail falls limply to the floor in his sadness. She feels a bit guilty when the blonde goes to pout in a corner. She isn't sure what to do about that situation. She turns feeling a gaze that seems to be estimating her potential. She spots the black haired demon with glasses.
"This will give that lust power a channel to feed into. You need to control it while you have it. Not using it correctly could make some very bad things happen. It could cause desire to spiral out of control." The black haired demons words make Haruhi rather uncomfortable. "Do you really want to take that risk?" He is unreadable so it's hard to tell if he's lying or not. He could be completely honest right now rather than deceiving her. His tail is moving though it almost looks more like a calm manner rather than any sign of a possible lie.
Is it really worth the risk to say no then have something potentially bad happening?
Haruhi feels a warmth within her and suddenly the air shifts. She swears that the warmth is following her worry levels. She stops troubling about it not wanting to stress herself out more. She glances over the others taking in their looks. She can tell they feel it rising in the air even though it doesn't seem to affect them as far as she can tell. She even catches some glances shared between some of them. She lets out a heavy sigh. She supposes that she really does have no choice. She doesn't want it to flare up at the worst times and cause anything to happen. She sees that the black haired demon was likely talking the truth about this. "Alright." She notices the heartbroken look wipe off the blonde for a happy excited look to replace it. "I'll only be in your club until this lust power thing wears off."
"Great!" The blonde puts an arm around her shoulders. His speed of hurrying over from the corner makes Haruhi jump. His tail swishing around in excited happiness. "Let me give you the tour!" He gestures around the club room as if to introduce the start of the tour.
Haruhi's eyes flicker around the room a little. She might as well get a little used to seeing it if it's going to take away study time. She spots that while the others moved closer in curiosity the two ginger haired demons don't.
The two move away from her casting glances full of distrust and uncertainty.
Haruhi makes mental note of this deciding to look a bit more into it if she can. Her attention is brought away as the blonde starts to lead her around the room. She is shown the area where snacks for the activities are stored. She is shown her small table too though she'd prefer this over a big one. She doesn't want to sit with a lot of demons all at once. She doubts that she'd be able to keep it up after all.
Then came the time for introductions.
"I am Tamaki. Very nice to meet you." Tamaki mentions then points to the black haired stoic seeming demon. "That there is Kyouya."
The black haired male nods before going back to whatever he was writing in his black book.
Tamaki turns his attention to the smallest and tallest of the group. "Over here is Hunny and Mori. Mori doesn't really speak so don't take it personally." He adds the second part a little quieter for Haruhi.
"It's so good to meet you!" Hunny jumps over in excitement. His horns are all black looking small yet long like two branches poking out of his head, his wings are black with pink flaps, his tail is pink with black spots, and his tail tip is a pink heart.
The taller behind Hunny just looks at Haruhi not saying anything. His horns are black being thick with them curving back over his head then back upwards again by the back of his head, his wings are black with dark purple flaps, his tail is black with the dark purple spots, and his tail tip is a black arrow shaped.
"And finally." Tamaki turns to the two who are no doubt twins spotting them still keeping their distance. "Come over here and greet her!" He calls to them and looks a little sad at their response.
"Just because she's going to do club activities doesn't mean we need to trust her!" One of them calls out as the two of them remain where they are.
Tamaki lets out a breath. "It's hard for them to trust others. Just give them some time." He keeps quieter for that then speaks up again to introduce them. "The one on the right is Kaoru and the one on the left is Hikaru."
The twins don't even turn. They both have the same style of demon parts. They have black wings with blood red flaps, a blood red tail and a black upside down heart shaped tip of their tails. Their horns are black and curve over their heads to hover above their hair instead of being like Mori who's horns are level with his hair.
"And you are Haruhi correct?" Tamaki nods proud of himself after Haruhi nods her head. "Yup. As soon as any human enrolls their name is shared at first. Then things usually die down unless the human tries to draw attention." He grins at her. "Welcome to the Host Club!" He opens his arms showing a warm greeting.
Haruhi really hopes that this whole thing won't be too long and she'll be able to just go back to just focusing on her studies soon enough.
