Light and shadow dances over the cityscape while voices of monsters and angels fill the void of silence. All of that was blocked out by Uravity twirling in the sky and binding a giant villain in her tangle of wires.

"LET ME GO!"

"Not yet! Planetary Drop!" Uravity used the boosters on her boots and gauntlets to increase the power in the throw. Below her, massive icy waves covered the road before an ice column shot up to the sky. The giant dove right into the unconscious realm as Uravity released her technique.

Shoto released an icy breath before turning to the crowd. The people cheered for him while Ochako landed on the roof and took off her helmet.

"So you didn't text me back about girl's night because you're working on the Todoroki showcase?" She turned and saw Mina step out of the shadows with several tied up villains behind her.

"Hello Mina, I'm doing great. How're you?"

"Cut the crap, Chako, you know what I mean. Girl, we have not had a proper girl's night in forever. You know how long Tsuyu's coastal missions take or Hagekure's underground work? Jirou's gonna start a new tour in two months after the festival."

"I'm aware, Mina." Ochako said with exhaustion. Hero work has recently ramped up. A new wave of crime meaning new hours up in the air. Mina sat next to Ochako and watched over the city with her.

"You thinking about seeing your blonde again?"

Ochako snapped her head at Mina, surprised. "No? I haven't thought of her in years."

"The other blonde, sweetie, the inventor." Mina corrected. Ochako blinked and sighed. "Oh yeah don't think I haven't noticed."

"You're always noticing stuff. Like Tsuyu and Tokoyami or Monoma and Shinso-"

"Don't forget Bakugou and Todoroki. I earned a substantial present from our Class President about that." Mina laughed. Ochako chuckled a little and watched as the people surrounded Shoto.

They were smiling, happy to see a hero like Shoto take center stage again. A dynasty hero line being all pretty for the media. Ochako let her mind drift, back to when that wasn't the case. When she was just a wee hero student and the blonde menace that could've changed things for all of them.

Mina dropped her smile as she saw her friend contemplating. She pulled her in for a side hug. "Hey, you've been taking care of yourself, right? You don't respond to our group chat these days."

"Of course I have. I need to keep these muscles in shape!" She flexed a bicep and Mina whistled a sexy tune. She kept looking at her and Ochako put down her arm. "I don't know. There's just been a shift you know. Something I haven't felt since we graduated UA all those years ago."

Mina nodded. "You too, huh? Momo's been on guard as well. Her poker face would trick anyone who hasn't known her for years. I think she's just stressed about that whole Hero Support Festival, you know. Don't know why she's so worried because a little Miss Mina Ashido's gonna blow the roof off with a performance to end all perfomances!"

Ochako could only chuckle as she looked at her gauntlet. The little boosters had such a cute design. Mei was more than happy to work on some new aesthetics.

"Oh what if it's not about the blonde, what about the green guy? You guys had a little meet cute." Ochako rolled her eyes and waved her friend's questions away.

"What're you gonna do about those guys?"

"Those dunces just had their spirits and guns melted by my acid punch, they'll be done for the count for some time. We've got plenty of time." Mina said. Ochako smiled again and stood up.

"Next Friday, is there any opening for your reclusive space girl to join you for a night through town."

Mina grinned and swiped her nose. "Oof, I don't know I gotta check my schedule, I'm a very busy woman you know. I'm just glad you know the benefit of wanting to see your friends."

Ochako stuck out her tongue before seeing a few flashes of a camera. Mina and Ochako saw a few photographers down below. The two heroines groaned and got up. There was work to do and Ochako had an idea as she peeked at the bakery nearby.

Maybe when she has the time…

Across Town…

Inko Midoriya, mother of one Izuku Midoriya, was a woman that enjoyed the aspects of home life. While the world was filled with heroes, villains, and the in between, Inko was happy to have her life remain simple.

That dream was something she hoped to pass onto her child, but he was anything but normal. In fact, he and his best friend weren't normal. Not at all as she stared at her children wolfing down her food like a pack of wild wolves.

Since she decided to visit once or twice every week, Inko has picked up on something that was happening.

Izuku had bandages on his face and arms. Accidents from studying quirks, his personal training, and aiding Melissa with her inventions. Melissa was covered in soot, sweat, and oil. She was no stranger to filth, but Inko was at least aware that she knew how to take care of herself.

"Izuku, Melissa." The two's heads snapped at her direction and she flinched. "I see you two have been busy. Have you guys been working too hard this week?"

"Not at all Mrs. Midoriya." Melissa said as she popped a shrimp dumpling in her mouth.

"I thought I told you, you can call me Inko."

"We've got assignments and leads and work, Mom!" Izuku said with a stuffed mouth.

"Chew your food before speaking Izuku." Inko said. They finally eased up on eating like dogs to drinking tea. "Now let's try this again. Are you two certain you're fine? Are all these things just part of the job? Getting hurt? Not sleeping."

"Getting hurt is only if I'm not careful. And I'm being super careful." Izuku said as he absently stared at the fish.

Inko took note of that behavior and turned to Melissa who was sketching something in her notebook. "What about you Melissa, you haven't acted like this since your finals at college."

"I'm fine Mrs…Inko." Melissa corrected herself. "I'm just filled with things like inspiration andspite."

Spite was the correct word as she noticed that there was a picture of Momo Yaoyorozu with a few…colorful quotes next to them. Oh how her heart yearns to protect her children, but they were adults. As adults, they were more than capable of making decisions.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

"Mel, did you leave the oven on?" Izuku asked.

Melissa sprung to her feet. "The 3D PRINTER! I forgot I rewired it after our last rounds of repairs! Izuku, grab the fire extinguisher!"

"Wait, Melissa! Where'd you put it?!"

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN WHERE'D I PUT IT?!"

Inko watched her children run around in panic and sweat dropped. "Maybe I should add an extra visit per week."

A Week Later…

"Do we really have to do this Melissa, it's early." Izuku yawned while Melissa lifted his arms. She pulled the measuring tape from fingertip to fingertip.

Melissa waved him off as she got his measurements. "It's 3 in the afternoon. You're lucky that I can work around your work schedule. What has your…training partner done to you these past few weeks?"

Izuku was screaming in pain as Aizawa pulled his scarf, wrapped around and stretching Midoriya in many ways.

For five days out of the week, Izuku trains with Aizawa. True to his word and the request of his counterpart, Aizawa has been making time to see Izuku be in the best condition to use his quirk and to fight properly. Although there've been some limitations they encountered when Aizawa was teaching him.

"Is this your limit Izuku? Come on, I expected someone trying to be a hero to be more flexible."

"It…wasn't in m-my training REGIMEN!" He screamed as Aizawa yanked harder.

{Breathe, Young Midoriya. Your screams of anguish are depriving your body of that life giving oxygen!} All Might said while raving supporting flags.

"I'm trying!" Izuku sputtered.

"Tried what? You're not trying anything until we get those limbs limber." Aizawa said.

Combat training was going to still be with All Might as Izuku found out. Aizawa was not impressed with his conditioning and made him realize how much of his focus went into strength and not agility or flexibility.

"I want Ashido to be jealous seeing you glide in dance shoes." Aizawa said and yanked harder. Izuku could only scream in silence at the pain. "If it's painful it's working!"

{I BELIEVE IN YOU, YOUNG MIDORIYA!}

He really didn't want to think about Aizawa right now as he stretched. Any animosity was unfortunately contested by him being more flexible before. His punches were faster, running was easier, and the reduction of stress on his muscles were visible.

Melissa typed the measurements in her phone as she patted Izuku on the head. "I'm going to get the mail. Please tell me you unsubscribed from that knock off hero magazine."

"I did!" He said as he went to the couch and grabbed his own journal and Eri's.

Inside of the journal were pages of info built on Eri's exploits. Yet the journal was aging and seemed to be deteriorating for a while now. He knew that this book was exposed to the elements and knew that this information would be lost if it wasn't written down again.

He was translating one page when he came across a certain blonde's name. He paused for a second and then wrote down the name.

Izuku took a break after copying a few pages and went to sketch something when Melissa kicked open the door. "Izuku, holy hell! Look what came in the mail!"

She plopped right in front of him. A letter with the UA symbol on it. Izuku whistled as he saw Melissa stare at it. "It's the instructions for what we gotta do at the Hero Support Festival. Mei gave us a chance and I'm not letting us squander it."

"And we'll do it together." Izuku said. "For real this time."

Melissa and Izuku sat on the couch when Melissa put the disc on the coffee table. She pressed it and a holographic Mei and Momo stood before them. "I never realized how intimidating they were in person."

"Yeah, you wouldn't know that would you." Melissa said.

"Melissa, I said I was sorry. I even covered dinner for the past four days." Melissa kept looking at him as she slurped up the bowl of noodles he bought a few hours ago. She pressed the play button.

-This thing on? Hello?-

-It's recording my dear.- Momo said.

Mei cleared her throat and got into position.-Melissa Shield you and whatever company you bring.-

Izuku felt slightly irked by the fact that these two haven't really acknowledged him. Justified or not.

-You, whoever you bring, and creations will be put on display with the main company. We have a spot all set for you to put in your showcase. Please send in a form of any items that are vehicle sized and/or bigger. We'd like to have the room for such things-

Momo elbow bumped Mei.

-OH and we do have a restriction on mech's thanks to last year's incident.- Mei looked away with some guilt.-Please meet us the day before the festival so we may have everything set up the day of the festival.-

Momo stepped up.-The privilege cannot be understated. You'll be standing with companies such as Onomura Pharma Corp and Detnerat. I'm sure in past experiences you've seen I-Island's sponsors. However take on this event like a leader, not a student.-

Melissa was chewing on her thumbnail while Momo explained. A few rude curses were muttered under her breath.

-You have four months. Make the best of your time.- Momo left the projection and Mei watched her go. Before the hologram disappeared, she flashed a thumbs up at the camera. Melissa smiled a bit that Mei had such faith in her. Hard to believe she was older and apparently her inspiration. She glanced at the watch on the desk.

It was time to make sure her faith pays off. But with what?

A Month Later- 3 Months Left To Go…

"Hard to imagine such a future exists. And I thought our present timeline was a mess." Melissa was flipping through the pages of the journal while Izuku was doing his handstand push ups. She sipped her milkshake and turned to the watch. "Izuku, did you ever get a chance to Mei from the future?"

"One thousand and ten, one thousand and eleven." He stops his count to think. "No, I didn't. From the looks of it, there weren't too many survivors and Eri's personal account on just her ended around the time she talks about the watch. If that's her only item, then that was likely her last creation. One thousand and fifteen!"

Since they were now on the same page, Izuku lent Eri's journal to Melissa. It was a bit of proof aside from the watch to showcase what dire future this power came from. Izuku read every single page, every story, and every ally's contributions to the cause. It saddened his soul to see great heroes performing so many sacrifices.

If he ever got the chance to meet their counterparts, he'd want to honor them in some way.

"That's a shame." She kept flipping through before realizing the rest of the journal was empty. "She didn't write much, huh?"

"Just the essentials for training. Some of the handwriting is different, so I'm guessing that was Aizawa. I wouldn't be surprised if she was too tired. The girl did not like her age."

Melissa nodded and flipped back to the pages back on the watch. The journal entry was written on an interesting date. "You know what's interesting, Eri wrote that the watch could only travel in small integers, the limit being four years. Assuming since she wasn't expecting you to fix her future, we'd be working on multiverse theory and the dates on this journal to the date you were kidnapped suggests they hopped into a parallel timeline."

Izuku finished his exercise and focused a bit of energy into his hands. A quick push and Izuku did a couple flips in the air before landing very shakily. Melissa didn't even bother looking and raised a 7 out of 10.

Izuku flipped her off while she just chuckled.

"What're you saying?"

"Wherever Eri's counterpart is, they're sixteen years old at the youngest and twenty at their oldest. She talks about a frightening past and how she knew some of the villains that wrought the end of the world." Melissa chewed on her straw. "If she's still around them, maybe she's aware where these villains are."

Izuku pondered on that. He looked All Might. One For All has vestiges of each user. Eri did say she'd be with him. The information could be great, but even then it'll be a minute before he could see Eri. Her rewind was still in effect so it'll be some time before One for All is truly complete again.

"That's an interesting idea though it'll be hard. Eri didn't leave much about her past, but from the sounds of it, it's dangerous and secretive. I don't have the skills to take them on, not yet." He clenched his fists. "Still if I find her, I'll help her."

"Course you will." Melissa said and patted him on the head. "Now get your butt into high gear, I need some measurements for a new durability formula."

"Yes ma'am." Izuku said. "But can we only do a few short tests? I'm meeting a friend today."

"Fine, fine." Melissa waved it off. She grabbed the test dummy and strapped on a new shield to its arm. "Then hit this as hard as you can."

However while Izuku was getting ready, Melissa glanced at the watch. An idea has finally come to mind.

Two Nights Later…

Izuku ran across the hallway. Blood dripped from his lip and flew off at the speed he was running at. He kept going until a chill ran down his spine. He ducked in time to dodge Aizawa's flying kick. The underground hero spun around and went in for a punch. Izuku caught it, twisted it around and got Aizawa to move with his hand.

Gripping onto his wrist, Izuk went for a jab of his own. Aizawa deflected the blow and grabbed his forearm. The two were locked in before both went for the knee. Izuku winced at the pain while Aizawa was unbothered.

He slithered his leg around Izuku's and used their body weight to throw them to the ground. The green one rolled out of the way as Aizawa stomped at the ground.

"Excellent recovery." Aizawa said.

The praise wasn't acknowledged as Izuku got into position. Aizawa followed suit. Both of them had their hands out. The two inching towards each other for the other's attack. Izuku's knuckles tapped Aizawa's then he striked. Swiftly, he tried jabbing for his teacher's jaw. Aizawa leaned back just in time and swatted the hand away.

Both exchanged quick and fast blows. They chipped away at each other's defenses. Izuku took a punch to the gut, Aizawa took a kick to the side, and both landed a cross jab on each other's cheek.

Izuku's mind went blank for a second. The blood dried and cracked. Aizawa felt himself sweating from the room. A few arcs of lightning scorched the floor before Izuku turned to Aizawa.

In the blink of an eye, Izuku felt his body snap back to normal. The tear of his muscles became more apparent before Aizawa socked him in the jaw. Midoriya went down. Aizawa looked down at him with his golden eyes.

"And you lost."

"Damn it, again?" Izuku groaned.

Aizawa laid down next to him and stretched. "You're getting better. You took combat training pretty well. Though in comparison to my other students, Uravity's got you beat."

"Don't need to tell me." Izuku said. He sat up while Aizawa was on his phone. "You're seriously not letting me use my quirk at all?"

"Stockpile or Accumulation quirks are always trouble to train around and in my experience always need more safety nets. If you're balancing massive amounts of power then you'll need to make sure your body is honed for it. It was similar to Yaoyorozu's problem."

"Really?"

He nodded. "The lipids in her system could overcrowd and mess the shape. It took years of refinement to get her level. If your strength works in any capacity similar then you'd be able to get away with about 5% of your power."

"I don't know." Izuku said. "Creati's power with lipids involves more structure visualization than refinement. I would say that would be the biggest problem to overcome and would have reduced the strain of her training to about a year considering how smart she is. In terms of my strength, the pool of which seems limited to my body. The more my body can handle., the more power I can output. I don't disagree with the notion of refinement, but there can be other ways of looking at my power and whatever it evolves to in the coming battles. Perhaps there's a way I could…Eraser?!"

He stopped rambling to see Aizawa glaring at his explanation. "You seem like such an expert. I'm glad I can leave it up to you."

"No! No wait! I'm sorry! I just ramble about quirks, I'm just talking about theories anyways. I don't doubt whatever training you did with Creati, nor do I question your methods with me!" Izuku said.

Silence.

{Kiss ass.}

Izuku smacked the side of his head to clear that voice. Aizawa exhaled and shook his head. "Don't think too hard about it. If anyone is willing to teach or learn beyond their mentor's gaze, I would encourage it."

Izuku thanked whatever their God was before blocking a jab. Aizawa's smirk showed off a sense of pride at that reaction. "Now let's get back to work.

"Yes sir!" He said. The two hopped back to their feet and got into position.

Back at home, Melissa was setting up her lab and put the watch on her table. The table lit up and scanned the watch. She saw each of its components listed. Filtering them into what's functional to what's damaged, Melissa saw that a few items were coming up as ?.

"Alright, let's break the components up and reconstruct them back into their original shape. If I follow the reconstruction, I can see what parts are missing and what their function could be. What is it? Fuel? Coordination dial? What made it possible for you to travel all those distances?"

The reconstruction finished and Melissa found her answer. Her eyes widened slightly at the missing pieces. What their purpose was. Her eyes began to shine as the gears started going off. Whatever part was missing was what made them travel across dimensions. She didn't need to go so far yet.

Three Months Later- One Week To Go…

"Ok Ochako, it's been a minute." She said as she walked down the street. "Work life balance got a little hectic with helping Todoroki, but you should remember Mina's advice: Know the benefit of wanting to see your friends."

She adjusted her grip on the box she was carrying and rang the doorbell. "Melissa and Deku wouldn't mind? No, they're busy people too. A surprise visit wouldn't be bad, right? Unless…would I be interrupting them? They might be building something new or outside testing things. Damn, maybe I should've sent a text."

Ochako was in her thoughts before being surprised to see Izuku opening the door. More surprised to see him in just a blank tank top and sweatpants. New ho-no hero build. Why was she sweating? "Deku! Hi, what're…what're you doing here? You look slimmer."

"I live here? And thank you." He said with a tilted head. Ochako slapped her cheek.

"Ah, right of course you do. I just meant, um, what're you…what's up? Been a few months. I bought a cake."

Deku smiled and gestured her in. "Thanks. I'm fine. Melissa's in the home stretch of her process. You can see her once she's finished."

"Ah ok. I was actually going to ask both of you, what you guys were doing for the Hero Support Festival? I know you're presenting, but are you planning to enjoy anything with anyone…aside with each other. If I'm not imposing."

Deku had set the table for the cake and Ochako sat at the table with a cup of tea next to her. "It's no problem at all. Melissa and I were curious as well, but we assumed you'd be busy with hero work or security if you're there."

She relaxed. "Oh please, Yaomomo's got the place locked down when it comes to security. Nezu and Aizawa made sure that anyone going to run UA was capable of defending it themselves."

"Well if it's so well defended then that means we can do something." Deku said.

"And what would you and Mel like to do?"

Deku chuckled. "You know Uraraka, Melissa and I aren't always attached to the hip. We're both free to spend our time however we want."

"Oh." Ochako said and looked at the cup of tea on hand. "You know the hero Lunch Rush still works at UA. I heard he was bringing his specialized crepes for the festival. Some people have said that one bite ruins all dessert pallets for years."

"Seriously? Oh we better eat this cake while it'll still be good." Deku with a small blush and Ochako helped themselves to some cake.

"Holy whoa, this cake is amazing! Is it…is it mochi?" Deku asked.

"Yup, my parent's live out in Hawaii these days and sent me a recipe from the island. I had a friend of mine make it for me since I've been busy with hero work." She saw Deku look at her with interest and then remembered he was a hero nerd. "I caught a crashing plane after some accidentally discharged their EMP quirk."

"An EMP quirk? That's amazing. What did it hit? What were the effects? Did it affect your gear?" Ochako got overwhelmed with the questions as the door opened.

"Better not have. I'm not letting an EMP ruin any more of my stuff." Ochako turned and saw Melissa standing a lab coat tied around her hips, hair tied up, and wearing a similar black tank top. "Hey Ochako."

Uraraka really needed to drink some tea for no reason.

"Hey Mel, Ochako brought some cake. Have a seat and I'll make you some coffee." Izuku said as he got up.

"Thanks Izu." Melissa didn't bother arguing and plopped next to Ochako. "Ochako, I haven't seen you in months. How's it going?"

"It's going well. I actually wanted to come see you guys since the Hero Support Festival is happening soon. I wanted to know what you guys are up to." Ochako said.

Izuku put the coffee in front of Melissa as leaned down next to Ochako to face her. "We're getting crepes."

Ochako nodded silently. Melissa took a sip of her coffee and hummed in approval. "Well I don't know how much free time we have, but if Izuku is standing guard of our spot, Ochako, we can go for a walk. I heard there was an illusionary show being made by Camie Utsushimi, the hero teacher from Shiketsu High."

Izuku sputtered on some tea and Melissa just groaned at his reaction. "You know her, Izuku?"

"Of her, Mel, of her." He remembered the damaged woman that aided Eri. He was curious how she was now. "Just curious about her quirk."

The ladies went back to their conversation while Izuku ate his cake.

"Yeah, let's make it a little date." Melissa said, "A bit unfair if only Izuku gets one."

Ochako blinked. "Huh? Wait, wait! These aren't dates! They're hangouts! I mean that should be obvious right?"

Melissa blinked a few times before laughing. "Oh right, you don't know. Izuku's idea of a date are crepe dates. I found that out when we first hung out."

"I said it'd be my preferred date idea." Izuku said and put his hands on Ochako's shoulders. "Crepes don't mean date every time. Otherwise, I had a lot of lonely dates."

Ochako's mind was going blank with these two. "No! Ok, listen! Do you two want to hang out at the festival? As friends?"

"Of course." They both said. Ochako groaned in relief and stuffed a cake in her mouth. They were not on the right page. The last thing she needs to do is give Mina more things to bring up on girl's night. Oh how she wishes she could hide behind Tsu.

"Ok, enough about me, what about you guys? I know I was busy, but you two…look different." She looked at Melissa and felt a shiver run down her spine. There was a passing familiarity.

At a distance in her home, Mei sneezed. "You think you can get me allergies! MY IMMUNITY SYSTEM WILL NEVER SURRENDER! MOMO, CREATE ME ADAMANTI-"

"COPYRIGHTED MEI!" Momo shouted from the other room.

"METAL!" Mei said as she ran to the exit.

Ochako now felt a sense of grievance from Momo. Weird.

She turned to see Melissa and Deku talking about their progress these past few months. She wasn't aware of the full scope of that meeting with Momo, but she could see it certainly…invigorated Melissa, who was chugging down a whole pot of coffee. Deku was picking up their plates. She knew who would definitely wear the pants if there was something going on.

"I've got a new invention. One to knock the socks of anyone who ever doubted me."

"I got to test it." Deku said. "And I only got lit on fire twice."

"Twice?" Ochako asked. The duo just shrugged their shoulders as Ochako just took their answer.

Melissa clapped her hands together. "Regardless. I'm ready for this festival. If we're gonna support everyone, this would be the perfect place to say that We Are Here!"

Izuku looked at All Might who shedded a manly tear at his niece's declaration. "We'll show them all!"

The two laughed while Ochako snickered at them. "You guys are two peas in a pod, aren't ya."

Melissa nodded. "Of course and I think we wouldn't be anywhere this close without you Ochako. We owe you a lot!"

She hugged Ochako and held onto her tightly. Ochako's mind short circuited at the affection as she saw Izuku's genuine smile at her. It was really pretty like someone else's. She hugged Melissa back.

The Day Before The Festival…

The day finally arrived, Melissa and Izuku were at their spot at the UA halls getting their presentation right. The second time at UA and the two were more serious this time around. The nerves from their first day were gone.

"Let's see. Three display cases and the stage set is ready. Mei was right in setting up everything."

"Hard to argue with the results." Izuku said as he pulled out his suitcase and opened it. Inside was a solid black box. Melissa grabbed it and put it on the middle display.

"Mel, you good?"

"Of course I am." She said. He saw her determination, but also a hint of fear. He put a hand on her shoulder and reassured her. "I need to know, Izuku, are we ready?"

"I don't need support, I need honesty." Melissa said. "You would lie to me, but without a good reason."

"I thought we moved past that."

"Izuku!"

He raised his hands up in surrender. "Fine. I think we'll make the necessary distance, but in terms of blowing them away…I trust the inventor more than anything."

Melissa hung her head down at that and Izuku lifted her chin to see her worried expression. "That's a cop out."

"Maybe, but I'm as honest as I can be with someone I have absolute faith in." Izuku said. She leaned a little closer, the gap slowly closing. "Melissa?"

"Hey, love birds, no PDA." A gruff voice said.

"I wasn't doing anything!" Melissa said. She quickly reached and squeezed his cheeks. "I was gonna pinch his cheeks for being dumb!"

Izuku groaned in pain as he turned to see Aizawa looking at them. "Hello, Eraserhead."

"Eraser?" Melissa said and faced him. She did a quick bow. "My apologies, I do not want to give the wrong impression between my assistant and I. Actually I wanted to thank…"

He held his hand up. A sign to not reveal anything. "I'm making sure everyone's got their display ready. I don't want any guests to waste our time or space. It's illogical."

"Right of course."

Aizawa turned to Izuku. "You should have fun. UA has a lot to offer in terms of hospitality."

"I never would've guessed?" Izuku jokingly asked.

"We're a hero school. We do a lot more than rescue and fight to reassure the public. Take a chance to find out how." He walked off and flashed a quick thumbs up. Though Izuku was confused by that announcement.

Melissa sighed and turned to Izuku, "Alright, I'm gonna check in and see if anything's missing."

"Got it. I'll just stretch my legs and walk around.

The two separated and Izuku let himself take the whole building in.

With Melissa…

Melissa walked around before hearing someone clear their throats. "So you've arrived."

"Momo Yaoyorozu. I didn't expect you to be on the ground. Thought you'd be doing your little press tour."

Momo waved off her sentence with a smile. "Whatever and whoever enters my school is always my biggest task. I'm just glad you were able to join. Mei was quite happy to see you join."

Melissa steeled her nerves this time with Momo, but also took note of the people around her. "Are these guests you are entertaining?"

One of the guests with a large pointy nose stepped forward. "Ah, is this the infamous daughter of Mr. Shield. Forgive me, but I insisted that we see you when Principal Yaoyorozu was guiding us. Rikiya Yotsubashi, President of Detnerat, at your service."

"A pleasure." Melissa said.

"The pleasure is all mine. Many support companies were rocked with what happened to your father. The damage he did. The support companies of today would be nothing without his leading example on I-Island and yet we must shun him as our tolerance for…incidents have been on the decline."

Melissa felt her eye twitch for a second. "I'm sorry if your company was affected. I'm sure my father will reflect on his actions and be helpful one day."

"Well the thing is, I'm more interested in what his next of kin is doing. You have your father's passion, but his resources…perhaps a talk with us can help you, help us, in making the Shield name salvaged." Yotsubashi said. He held out a business card.

"I'm testing the water myself, thank you very much." She crossed her arms. Rikiya kept his smile up before pulling back his card.

"That American attitude will do little favors in this world. Although it might just be that spunk that spurs on your talent. Either way, I can respect that." The tone shifted. Melissa could feel some sort of pressure building.

Momo noticed the look on her face and turned to Yotsubashi. "If you're not pleased with my company Mr. Yotsubashi then you're free to explore UA unguided. I do not like having my time wasted nor would I want my guests to spur others."

The pressure left the room. "Of course, my apologies. I didn't mean to waste time on this. If anything I said felt aggressive, it's just the business man in me. Very rarely do I get to just a simple guest."

"Then follow me. Leave any side conversation till after we're done." Yostubashi walked ahead with his entourage while Momo glanced at Melissa. The two shared a brief moment before she walked away.

Melissa didn't know what to think, but she forced her hand to unclench.

Back with Izuku…

He could see students using their quirks. A couple of the companies set up meet and greet booths. He could see Mina in the distance directing some of her students around.

There was a little thought in his head, what if he got this power earlier? Would he be one of these students wandering around UA? What a wonderful dream that was.

Izuku bumped into someone. "Oh I'm sorry."

"What the hell! Watch your place…Deku?" Izuku's eyes widened as he realized he bumped into Bakugou. "What the hell are you doing here?"

"Working." Izuku felt that familiar bile of fear rise up his throat, but he's been training with Bakugou's teacher for months. If anything this makes them peers. "What about you?"

"The hell I need to talk about my stuff with you?! It's important work." Izuku looked and saw him covered in glitter and there was black eyeliner smudged on his eyes. Bakugou could feel the eyes looking at him. "Go to hell!"

"Hey Kacchan." The blonde froze at the old nickname and turned to Izuku.

"Thanks for helping Melissa when she was in danger. I'm glad you were there to take care of those villains." Izuku said with as much sincerity he could squeeze out.

Bakugou opened his mouth and then remembered that day. Where Izuku survived fighting a dangerous sludge villain and lived. Whether it be luck or Shoto's dumbass theory, Izuku still lived.

"Whatever. I don't want to fucking look at you Deku." Bakugou said as he stomped off.

All Might appeared next to Izuku.{Any reason you were so cordial with him, Yung Midoriya? I know you're not his biggest fan.}

"A little kindness goes a long way. I know some part of him is still that guy from middle school, but I can't fault him for doing something good like protecting Melissa. Besides, if I'm going to be a hero, I'll end working with him one way or another." Izuku explained.

{You're too kind sometimes, young man.}

"Plus…" Izuku started. It was Bakugou's name in Eri's journal and anyone could infer that he aided the girl on her journey. "I like to believe there's a good man in that mess. I want to expect that from anyone who decides to call themselves a hero."

"Izuku! Come on! We gotta get dinner and rest up for tomorrow night!" Melissa shouted.

"Coming!" Izuku said as he ran off. He didn't notice Bakugou watching him run off. Nor did he realize that Bakugou had his phone out texting a certain someone.

The day finally arrived. Melissa and Izuku were dressed up in more casual clothes. Her dress shirt and waistcoat combo while Izuku was wearing his black jacket with a white shirt and green pants. Today the results of their work would be doing the talking.

They arrived at the gates and saw Ochako waiting for them. In her casual disguise gear as well.

"Hey Uraraka!"

"Heyyo." She said, "Don't you two look festival ready. Come on, there's a good spot to watch the opening ceremony."

"Any of your friend's joining?" Izuku asked.

Melissa nodded. "I hope they still want their equipment consultation. With the whole festival on my mind, I had to put a delay on jobs. I'd love to confirm with some of your friends"

"You'll see, maybe." She answered. "They always move to the beat of their own drum. I'm just happy that I don't need to work today."

The trio went around the crowd before Ochako held out her hands. They took them and felt their mass leave. Floating, Ochako pulled them through a small pass and on top of one of the many support buildings near the entrance.

There were a few drinks, a blanket, and a couch. "A little hidey hole I found before I graduated. Mina took over when she became a teacher and spruced it up. Though she remembers who to thank for her little break zone when the kids get too rowdy."

"Amazing." Melissa stated. "We're just close enough to the stage not to miss anything and not too far so it's not like we're in the nosebleed section."

Izuku picked up a drink and sat down, but then he felt something tickle his ear.

{Be vigilant, Young Midoriya.}

"All Might?"

{You can sense it, right? That feeling of unease. Don't ignore that feeling young hero.}

"I…I won't." Izuku said, yet he saw Uraraka sitting next to Melissa and the numerous heroes down below. "There are other heroes here. I'll do my best, but I can still leave it to the rest of them…right?"

All Might was quiet.

Izuku sighed before hearing the whine of a microphone.

"Welcome one and all to the UA Hero Support Festival!" Momo said. Her voice echoed throughout the stage. "Every year we host this Festival as a collaboration between heroes and civilians, business and the people, and students with the future. My mentor Nezu drilled into me the importance that society continues to grow through the examples provided by the previous generation and to show a glimpse of the future by providing a tiny window to those who will aid and lead us in the future!"

The people clapped. Melissa raised a glass while Izuku and Ochako were clapping.

"Use this time to relish in accomplishments and to celebrate the many years to follow. Let's celebrate you, to the world, and to the future!"

Momo snapped her fingers. Lights lit up and she smiled. She raised an arm as music began to play.

"And why not start this festival differently! With a bang! Prepare for an opening led by today's heroes!"

Momo created a smoke bomb in her hand and slammed it. A loud cloud of smoke covered the stage before revealing Earphone Jack aka Kyoka Jirou.

"What is up! Stuffy Suits and Students! Parents and Fans! Get ready for a true UA opener!"

Izuku had stars coming out of his eyes as he looked at the band.

Ochako grabbed Izuku's shoulders and started shaking him. "Oh my gosh! Izuku, Melissa look! I told you!"

"G-r-e-a-a-a-t!" Izuku said with each shake. His eyes widened as he took stock of all the band members. "Is that Kacchan?!"

"YOU ALL BETTER BE DEAD AFTER THIS NUMBER!"

"1, 2, 3, 4!" Jirou shouted over and began the music.

Outside watching the fireworks in UA were going off, a woman sat on a building kilometers away. She was scoping the place. Through her scope, she tagged each exit where people and staff were going.

Finally she stopped where she saw Momo Yaoyorozu walking towards the main display hall.

"The festival begun its opener. Are we ready?" She asked on her radio.

-Krrt-

[Yup, yup! Got the measurements all ready.]

The woman smiled and pulled out her knives. Tonight the smell of iron will come from the bodies, not the machines.
