As the ships and guards watch the forward unto dawn charges forward and opens fire on the alien ship. Everyone watches as they see the dawn and alien ship duking it out in front of them firing at each other until the alien ship shields goes down and the dawn pulls up forward and fires the mac cannon destroying the ship making everyone surprised. As they watch the debris float izana flies up next to the dawn and says nagate come in do you copy? Nagate-I'm here. Izana-Are you ok? Nagate-I'm…fine. Yuhata-What was that about nagate? You were supposed to stay behind our ships. Nagate-I'm sorry but your ships and guards wouldn't have stood a chance against it. That ship was more advanced than anything you have. Yuhata-We noticed that but why did you rush in like that? Nagate-Because…that ship was a covenant ship. Yuhata-Wait that was a covenant ship? Nagate-Yeah…all do a scan for any remaining covenant fighters then head back to Sidonia. Yuhata begins to say understood but then nagate cuts the line making the crew say is he going to be alright. Yuhata-That's what I'm going to find out. As the guards and ships head back to Sidonia izana watch's the forward unto dawn dock with the platform then is brought down to the hanger. As they land hamagata says as he gets out what do you think that was about with nagate? Mozuku-Not shore. It was like it was personal to him. What do you think izana…izana? They turn to see izana spacing out then as she looks at them and says what did you say? Mozuku-I said what do you think is up with nagate? Izana-I'm not shore. Mozuku-You ok izana? Izana-I'm ok.

Hamagata-You shore you seem a bit worried? Izana-It's just the nagate I know would have never rushed in like that…come on everybody let's head back to Sidonia. The pilots say roger and head back to the hanger mean while after the dawn lands yuhata heads to it and as she boards the ship, she calls out nagates name and when he doesn't answer she searches until she finds him in armory target practicing with a sniper. Yuhata yells nagate can we talk then after he fires, he says you want to know why I rushed in like that. Yuhata replies I do then as he sets the down sniper, he says I'm sorry for rushing in like that it's just. Yuhata-Just what? Nagate-That ship was part of the fleet that attacked my home. Yuhata-How do you know it was? Nagate-Because of the insignia. It was part of a fleet called valiant of prudence that destroyed reaches outer cities. I lost friends to that fleet when I was an odst. Yuhuta- Odst? Nagate-It means orbital drop shock trooper mostly referred as hell jumpers too. The odst teams were responsible for carrying out elite special operations for the unsc. Yuhata-I see and that armor you were wearing was that odst armor? Nagate-No that armor is a mark 5 Powered Assault Armor for spartans but I slight modified it with my old odst suit . Yuhata-What's a spartan? Nagate-Their superhumans that are genetically enhanced and augmented to create special fighting units for the unsc. Yuhata-Wait your body was genetically enhanced?

Nagate-Yes it allowed use to give us an edge when the covenant invaded. It made us faster and more maneuverable. Yuhata-What made you want to become a spartan? Nagate-I made a promise to someone I lost long ago. Yuhata-Oh I'm sorry. Were you close with your friend? Nagate-I was. I met her when were in a joint training operation on reach before the covenant invaded and a few months later we became more than friends. Things were going ok until… Yuhata-Until the covenant. Nagate replies its fine then as he brings the rifle up to shoot, he says you might want to cover your ears. As yuhata plugs her ears nagate fires at the hologram targets as they move yuhata yells is there I can do to make you feel better? As nagate reloads he says I just need to be by myself right now then he throws yuhata something. Yuhata-What's this? Nagate-It's a communicator. If you need anything or somethings up call me on that. Yuhata replies ok, then nagate continues to shoot and yuhata goes to say something but instead leaves for home. Meanwhile in a distant star system aboard a covenant super carrier called song of retribution orbits a gas giant near a four-runner installation with its fleet and as the fleet commander arrives on it, he says have you made any progress with unlocking the key stone. Jopa Dasov-No sir we haven't made any progress. Without the second key stone, we can't reveal the location of the sacred rings in this universe. Kuva 'Katan-Then where is the second key stone? Jopa 'Dasov-It was launched into space decades ago before the fall. Kuva-Do you at least have a location on where it is? Jopa-Yes, the scout ship I sent four months ago should have arrived at the coordinates we found in the archive. As Kuva replies excellent another elite comes in and says commander we lost contact with the scout ship. Jopa-What happened to it? Elite-It came under attack by a human ship. Jopa-A human ship? It must have been one of the ships from this universe. Elite-No sir it wasn't destroyed by the ships in this universe. Jopa-Then what ship what was it? The elite replies it was the…. hm. Kuva-Spit it out what was the name of the ship. Elite-It was the forward unto dawn. Kuva gets shocked at what he said then jopa says the forward unto survived that impossible. The elite replies this was the last transmission from the ship and as he shows a holo vid kuva walks up from behind and says that ship. If it survived, then so could he. Elite-Who commander? Kuva-The one who did this to me the spartan. He removes the face cover on his left side to reveal a scar on his eye. Elite-A spartan did that? Kuva-Yes and I wouldn't blame him.

He said the next time we meet he will make it personal for what we did to his planet. Jopa-What planet was he from commander? Kuva-He was from the planet reach. Elite-Reach? The planet that had forerunner artifact. As Kuva puts his face plate back on he replies that is the one. Find out where the ship was destroyed and send a small recovery team to find any survivors. Elite-Understood Jopa-If there are any maybe they can at least tell us what direction they went in and the location of the second keystone. Kuva replies maybe then heads to his ship. Back on Sidonia nagate continues going through his ships data to find a clue on how he got stuck in the ice but to no avail as the ships data systems are still scrambled. Nagate-Dam it why is the data so corrupted. The dawns systems should have been protected…huh. As he looks through the computer more, he then sees an area he does not recognize and ends up going there. As he gets there, he notices a lock with a circle on it and recognizes what it is. He takes off his necklace and as he fits it in it connects with the keyhole and as it spins the door unlocks. After it opens, he walks in to see the second Guidestone on a pedestal but doesn't recognize what it is.

As he walks to the Guidestone it starts to glow and starts to make noise then as he gets close to the stone and touches it forms a symbol then he starts to see visions. He sees images of the battle for his home planet, his childhood life, the love of his life then sees an alien space station orbiting a destroyed planet then as the visions come to an end, he sees a ring in near a gas giant then as he lets go and collapses it shoots out an energy wave shutting everything down on Sidonia except the forward unto dawn. On the bridge the crew is frantically trying to restart the systems while figuring out where the surge of energy came from then yuhata comes down on the platform. Yuhata-What's going on with the power systems? Crew-Were not shore. A wave of energy came out of nowhere and shut down most of the systems but they're coming back on now. Yuhata-Have you pinpointed the origin of where it came from? Crew-The energy wave originated from the forward unto dawn. Yuhata-The dawn what could have nagate…send a security detail to the ship I want to know what happened. Crew-Yes mam. As the crew sends out orders yuhata thinks to herself. Meanwhile izana is in the locker room changing into her skin suit when the lights flicker then as she steps out, she sees the security team head to the dawn and replies what's going on. Guard-We were ordered to go the dawn and figure out what sent out the energy wave. Izana-Energy wave? Guard-An unknown energy wave swept through Sidonia knocking out the power systems and the origin of it came from the forward unto dawn. Izana replies it came from what but before the guard she can hear a response the guard has already left to join up with the others and izana decides to go with them. As they get to the hanger the bored the dawn and search the ship for nagate. Guard-Command were on the ship but there's no sign of nagate.

Yuhata-Keep searching we have to find out what happen. Guard-Yes sir. As they continue searching izana searches for him to and as she gets to another level, she spots a container open and when she enters it, she sees nagate collapsed on the ground then rushes to him. As she holds him, she tries to wake him but doesn't respond, then hears the guard's voices and quickly calls out them. The guards come in asking what happened but izana says she doesn't know. The guards help lift him up and as they carry nagate out izana looks back to see the guide stone.

As she goes to touch it, she hears the guard say mam he's waking up. She leaves the container then as she gets to nagate he comes to. Izana-You alright nagate? Nagate-I think so my heads a bit fuzzy. Guard-What happened? There was an energy surge that came from this ship and knocked out all the power on Sidonia and the captain sent us to investigate. As nagate gets up he walks back to the container he opens it and says I think it's because of this thing. Izana-What is that nagate? Nagate-I'm not shore there's no record of it ever being on the ship or where it came from. As izana approaches it again he says carful but when she gets close it doesn't do anything and he replies strange then as gets it and starts to put his hand next to the stone it starts to light up and quickly backs away. Guard-Why does it only do that when you go near it? As they exit the room nagate says I don't know then when he closes the door, he replies but that's a mystery for another time then as he locks the door, he then says there's somewhere I need to go.

Izana-What you mean? Nagate-The artifact showed me a vision of a place and I think I know where it is. I need to get there it might hold answers. As he begins to leave the guards block him and say wow wow the only place, you're going is the captain he wants answers. Nagate-Don't you mean she? Guard-Doesn't matter you're coming with us. As he puts a hand on nagates shoulder he replies tell me have you guys ever fought against super soldier? The guards shrug then he says let me show you and grabs the guards arm then throws him across the room colliding with another guard making one of the guards say you son of ah but nagate manages to knock him out before they can retaliate then as he look at the remaining two guards he replies if I were you two I take your friends and leave before I knock you two out then drag you out. The guards look at each other node then they take their knocked-out friends off the ship as izana watches then says did you really have to do that. Nagate replies they didn't leave me much choice then he heads for another room. As izana follows she replies didn't have choice then when she gets there, she sees him putting on his hydrostatic gel suit making her blush then he goes to a broker armor mechanism and it begins putting his armor on surprising izana then as he grabs his helmet he heads for a hanger. Izana replies where are you going nagate but he doesn't reply and as she arrives behind nagate she sees a transport ship. Izana- What is this nagate? Nagate-It's a spartan troop transport called condor. It's got missiles and additional guns to defend off against incoming attackers.

Izana-Ok then where are you going in it? Nagate-To a space station I saw in my vision. I know what system it's in. Izana-Then im coming with you. Nagate-No you're not. Izana-What? Nagate-Izana I have no idea what could be on that station or better yet what else could be in that star system it could be different. Izana-But nagate…Nagate replies Izana go home all be fine then he puts his helmet on and begins power up the condor. Meanwhile on the bridge yuhata is going through report then the security team that she sent contacts her. Yuhata-Report team did you find out what happened. Security team-We did the energy serge came from an alien artifact that's aboard the dawn. We tried to take him but. As guard is about to explain the crew on the bridge says sir there's something launching from the dawn hanger. Yuhata-Wait what show me? The crew bring up a view of the hanger to see the condor launching then yuhata says on the coms nagate where are you going…nagate respond. He doesn't answer then after the condor takes off it then jumps into slip space. Crew-What did it just do? Yuhata-I think it jumped into some sort of ftl. Crew-I wonder where he's going. Yuhata-Who knows. Crew-Sir before it jumped away, we detected another life sign aboard the ship. Yuhata-Who was it? Crew-It was izana shinatose. Yuhata-Izana was on the…Crew-I'm afraid so sir. Yuhata-Alright then…keep an ear out for it .When they get back, I'm gonna have some questions for him.

Crew-Understood sir. As yuhata pushes the button to go up she says to herself what were you thinking izana and why would you make her leave Sidonia nagate. Back on the condor as nagate sits in the cockpit he takes off his helmet and gazes out at the stars wondering then he hears something move in the back. He grabs his pistol and as he looks around, he goes to one of the cells to see it closed and as he opens it, he's surprised to see izana trying to fit through a panel then when she turns around, she panics and says oh hi nagate then she accidentally slips and falls on her butt. Nagate replies what are you doing here I told you to go home and as she gets up izana replies I couldn't just let you go by yourself. Nagate huffs then says you're more stubborn than she was. Izana says what was that then nagate says nothing then heads to the cockpit. As izana arrives in the cockpit she sees the stream from the slip space then nagate says better take a seat were exiting slip space. She replies ok and as she sits down the condor comes out of slip space near a gas giant then she says where are nagate? Nagate-Were in a system called the epoloch system.

It was where the shield world requiem was and where the original forward unto dawn drifted to. Izana-What's a shield world? Nagate-It's an installation that was created by the forerunners to act as a shelter. Izana-A shelter? What did these forerunners need them for? Nagate-From the activation of the halo rings. Izana-The what? Before nagate can reply to the question he says we are here as he pilots the ship near the station making izana say this station big nagate. What do you hope to find there? As he puts his helmet, he replies don't know then as he gets to the back of the condor to grab his assault rifle the ship lands in the hanger. Izana-So what's the plan nagate? Nagate-The plan is I'm going onboard to find out what it is and you're staying here on the ship. Izana-What why? Nagate-Izana you're not equipped to go aboard that station. Forerunner installations have defense that can burn a laser right through you or drop you if the light bridge malfunctions. Izana replies as she tears up but nagate then he goes over to take her hand and says all be ok izana I've gone on dozens of missions to places like these. Nagate passes by corridors and rooms filled with different artifacts and technology the hears over the radio you find what you're looking for from izana. Nagate-To be honest I'm not even shore what I'm looking…for. Izana-What is it nagate? Nagate-There was a flicker of light that went down a corridor. I'm going to follow it. Izana-Are you shore that's a good idea? Nagate-It's the only lead I got. Izana-Ok. Nagate continues on until he come across a room filled with floating artifacts then he gets to a console and as he approaches it the console says nagate is that really you? Nagate-Who said that? As he looks around the energy sphere on the console begins to change and as it turns into a person it says it's me nagate. Nagate-Hoshijiro you're alive but what are you doing here? Hoshijiro-I'm not shore exactly. My memories are fragmented and I can only remember bits and pieces. It's like something corrupted them and when I awoke on here, I felt like I was being watched but in the end I was all alone. As she looks down nagate takes out his data chip and as he puts it near her, he says you're not alone anymore.

She smiles then touches the data drive and goes into it then nagate puts the data drive into his helmet and says izana I'm on my way back. Izana-Did you find what you were looking for? Nagate-I did. Izana-What was it? Before nagate could answer he sees the light again and says let me get back to you on that and hangs up the line making izana curios. As the light approaches nagate points his rifle at the light then says I think we just found what was watching you hoshijiro. As the light approaches, he then sees it's a monitor and says oh thank heavens so good to see a human. Nagate-Who are you? 220 lucent axiom- I am 220 lucent axiom. I am the monitor of installation 752 and I need your help. Nagate-What is it you want? Before it can respond he hears a loud noise and says what was that? Lucent-Oh no you need to get to your ship and leave before they spread. Nagate-Wait spread you mean…before he can respond hoshijiro says ah nagate we got multiple contacts. Nagate-Don't tell me let me guess. As the creatures come around the corner, they begin to swarm down the hall just as hoshijiro says it's the flood then nagate opens fire.
