Bittersweet Vengeance-Ch 4
Derek and the rest of the team were at the police station going over records that Penelope had been able to get them the day before, Derek couldn't concentrate on anything becausehe was so worried about Penelope, where was she and why wasn't she answering any of his calls.
JJ said, "she's going to be alright", Derek said, "what if she's not Jayje, what if something's happened to her, what if?", Emily said, "let's not think like that, let's wait and see what Anderson says when he calls", Derek blew out a deep breath and nodded his head yes as he ran his hand over his face.
Everybody turned to look at Hotch as his cell started ringing, he hit talk and speaker and said, "how's Garcia?", Anderson said, "she's not here sir, there is no sign of her", Derek said, "what do you mean there's no sign of her, how did you get into her apartment?", Anderson said, "we talked to the super and he let us in and she's not here but there is signs of a struggle".
Derek's heart started racing, had somebody got in and taken her, had somebody hurt his baby girl, he was pulled from his thoughts when Hotch said, "get tech's there to do a check of her apartment, I want fingerprints, I want the works and then call me back when you find out something", Andersons said, "yes sir".
When the call ended Derek said, "that's not right Hotch, come on, we need to go home", Dave said, "I agree with Derek, we need to head back home, we've got to find her", Hotch said, "let me see what I can do about getting another team here", he then turned around and walked from the room, leaving behind a team of very worried profilers.
Meanwhile, Sam was sitting by Penelope and watching Savannah as she hooked her up to an IV, he said, "this won't hurt her right?", Savannah said, "no, it won't hurt her, she's getting diluted amounts of scopolamine, it won't take long before the drug starts working but she'll have to remain here like this until the meds kick in and she's under our control".
Sam took Penelope's hand in his and said, "don't worry Penelope, I'm here, I'm here", Savannah scoffed and said, "she doesn't love you Sam", he said, "not yet but she will and when she and I go back to Virginia, the look on her precious team members faces is going to be priceless when they see that we are together".
Savannah said, "hopefully by then Derek will be with me, but even if he's not maybe seeing her with you will be the boost that I need to get back into his life again, you know, be the one that's there to console him, help him get over his precious baby girl?", Sam grinned and said, "when this is all over, we'll both get the person we want", Savannah grinned and nodded her head yes in agreement.
Sam watched as Savannah walked out of the room, he then smirked at Penelope and said, "soon you;ll give yourself to me again Penelope and then, then you'll be mine forever", he reached out and palmed her breast again and said, "soon", he then stood up and walked out of the room leaving Penelope to sleep so the meds could start kicking in.
Back in California Hotch walks back into the room and says, "I talked to Erin, she's sending B team, we can head back home", Dave said, "have you already talked to the sheriff to fill him in?", Hotch said, "yes and he knows that another team is coming and should be here in a few hours".
Derek led the others as the team of worried BAU agents hurried from the police station and as they headed toward the airstrip Derek sent up a silent prayer that his baby girl was alright and that hopefully soon they would find out what happened to her and the sooner they heard from Anderson the better.
