Bittersweet Vengeance-Ch 21

When Fran and the others arrived a few hours later they smiled when they saw Penelope wrapped in Derek's arm and both were peacefully sleeping, Dave said, "she's been through so much", Sarah said, "what does she remember?", Dave said, "not much I'm afraid, she remembers us all out drinking and trying to relax after that last case".

Desi said, "nothing after?", Reid said, "she remembers waking up in a room and Sam being there, she said that she knows that somebody else was there but she can't see the face of the person that was helping Sam".

Fran said, "so what's the plan?", Dave said, "when she wakes up we'll take her to see Carlos, I've already called and talked to him, he's expecting us", Sarah said, "she needs to be checked out really really good to make sure that both her and the baby are alright", JJ said, "and we can see if there are any drugs in her system now or not".

Reid said, "chances are that where we've had her with us for over 48 hours that if there are any drugs in her system they will be at a very small amount", Hotch said, "so that must mean that he's been able to control her with hypnosis for quite a while then", Reid said, "definitely, because before they came back to Virginia it was just the two of them for God knows how long so he could use it with no problem".

Desi said, "so after they came back to town and she went back to work, that's why he told her to call him every 12 hours?", Reid said, "yes, that would solidify the hypnosis once he said the phrase kept her under control", Fran said, "Sam is a sick sick man", Hotch said, "that he is but he's gonna pay for everything that he's done to Garcia and Derek", everybody nodded their heads yes in agreement.

When Penelope and Derek woke up a couple hours later she smiled when she saw Fran and the others, she was quickly pulled into a motherly hug where she broke down again and kept saying over and over, "I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry", Fran wiped away her tears and said, "sweetie, you've got nothing to be sorry about, nothing at all, this is all on Sam and whoever else helped him".

Penelope said, "why did he do this to me, I never thought that he would ever do anything to hurt me", Fran said, "jealousy can make people do strange things, things that you never dreamed that they would do", she nodded her head and said, "you're totally right Fran", she then felt the arms of Henry and Jack wrapping around her, she said, "ohhhhh I've missed you both soooooo much".

The two little boys giggled and said, "we've missed you too" as they hugged her tight, JJ said, "how are you feeling Garcie?", she said, "okay, it all still hasn't hit me yet, ya know?", Derek said, "well when it does hit, just know that we are all here for you and that we will never ever leave you alone".

She smiled and said, "I don't know what I would do without you guys", Dave said, "well kitten we're here and we're not going anywhere", Penelope blew out a deep breath and said, "so what's the plan now?, Dave said, "I have called in a few favors and we're going to take you to see an old friend of mine".

Penelope said, "old friend?", Dave said, "yes, we're going to get you and the baby checked out to make sure that you're alright", she said, "sounds good", she stood up and said, "let's get this over with, I need to know that everything is alright", the others minus Sarah, Desi and the boys loaded up in the rental cars and headed to meet Carlos so that they could make sure Penelope and the baby were alright.
