AN: Here's chapter 3. In this chapter, it is actually mainly in the book. I added an extra part at the end to stoke your minds of more questions. I hope you enjoy it. I thank you all for the reviews. I checked the stats after a few hours and I already got 3-4 reviews. I was so happy that I am posting chapter 3 so quickly. I expected to get that many reviews in a week.

Guest: Thank you. I will definitely keep writing.

L'Oracle de Delphe: Thank you. I will neither verify nor deny your theory. However, I would like to clarify that she is aging slower, not stop aging completely. I have planned the basic layout of the story so I will say that Hebe will play a semi-important role in the story. But that will be later on. Whether that be the role you expect or not, I will not say. As for being a daughter of Hades, you'll see once her parent is revealed. But please, continue to give your theories.(Note: I don't speak French so I just used Google Translate to find the meaning of your review.)

Robotdocter: You will understand what kind of 'Princess' Percy is once we reveal her father. That might be too much of a give away. Or not. As for the pairing, I thank you for the suggestions. I agree that they don't get used often. But remember that you could also suggest for Percy to stay single. I'm thinking to wait until you guys suggest a few more before starting a poll in my profile.

I don't own Percy Jackson and the Olympians. All credit goes to Rick Riordan.

Chapter 3: Sweet, Sweet, Exposition

I walked out to be met by Nancy.

"I hope Mrs. Kerr whipped your butt!" She exclaimed.

"Who?" I was genuinely confused. Who is this Ms. Kerr.

"Our teacher, duh."

Ah… the Mist.

"Oh." was my genius response.

She just rolled her eyes and walked away.

I turned to look at Grover to see him still visibly shaken. 'Does Grover know what actually happened?'

"Grover, are you alright?" I asked. He hesitated before responding.

"Y-Yeah. I should be asking you that. What did… What did Mrs. Kerr do?" He stuttered out.

He was clearly distraught over something, but I decided to lie about what happened. He might be a clear-sighted mortal.

"Well. Uh… she just told me a speech on how I should behave better." I told him.

"Oh. Good… Great."

Thunder boomed overhead.

I saw Mr. Brunner is still under his umbrella, reading a book, as if he never moved. I decided he must be a demigod, or at least knows of the mythological world. Therefore, I approached him.

"Uhm… Mr. Brunner." He looked up from his book.

"Ah. That would be my pen Miss Jackson. Please bring your own writing utensil in the future."

I handed him the pen then steeled my nerves.

"Sir." I said. "What happened with Mrs. Dodds?"

He stared at me blankly. "Who?"

Oh damn. Is he tricking me or did the Mist affect him too?

"Our other chaperone." I told him. "Mrs. Dodds, the pre-algebra teacher."

"Percy, are you feeling alright?" He gently asked. "As of my knowledge, there has never been a Mrs. Dodds in Yancy Academy."

For the rest of the year, our pre-algebra teacher was this perky blonde woman. I didn't really mind. She was at least better than Mrs. Dodds.

I would say I was doing pretty good this year of not getting expelled. That was until this one class where my English teacher was just so annoying and inconsiderate. He knows I have dyslexia and ADHD, but he treats me like it's my fault I'm worse than my class. It got so bad that I called him an old sot. I don't even know what that means but I guess he did, being an English teacher and all.

After that incident, I was informed I wouldn't come back to Yancy next year. Great, just great. Now the authorities will have to deal with more of my bullshit and find me a new school.

The night before the finals, I was pacing in my room reading up for Latin. It was the only subject I'm gonna study for.

I got so frustrated, I threw my Cambridge Guide to Greek Mythology across the dorm room. The words just started swimming off the pages and dancing in the air. Then I thought of Mr. Brunner.

'I only expect the best from you Miss Jackson' He said.

I sighed. I picked up the book and headed outside. I don't normally ask teachers for help but I didn't want to leave Yancy with Mr. Brunner thinking I hadn't tried.

I reached the door to Mr. Brunner's office. A little bit of light escaped through the sides. As I got closer, I heard talking inside.

"... alone this summer." It was Grover. "I mean, a Kindly One at school! Now that we know for sure, and they know too…"

'Kindly One?' Is that what Mrs. Dodds was? Wait. Grover is talking to Mr. Brunner about monsters, at least that's what I think. That means…

"We would only make it worse for her." Mr. Brunner said. " We need her to mature more."

"But sir. She saw her."

"Her imagination." Mr. Brunner interrupted. "The Mist over the school will convince her of that."

I knew it. They do know of the mythological world. This revelation shocked me. Well… Mr. Brunner shocked me. I had a pretty good guess that Grover knew.

Everytime I reference Mrs. Dodds, he would hesitate then act like he didn't know her.

The revelation that they knew the whole time made me drop my book.

The talking ceased.

I hastily picked up the book and 'booked' it for the nearest door. Sorry, bad pun.

I listened as the door to Mr. Brunner's room creaked open. Clip-clop-clip-clop. I heard what sounded like an animal snuffling outside the door. Through the transparent part of the door, I saw what looked like a really tall man holding an archer's bow.

"Nothing." Mr. Brunner murmured. "My nerves haven't been right since the solstice. Grover, go back to your dorm. You still have your finals tomorrow."

"Don't I know it." Grover grumbled.

After a few moments, I slipped out and darted to my dorm.

What I found was Grover in his bunk, reviewing his notes, as if he had been there all night.

"Hey Percy. Are you doing alright? You look terrible." Grover asked.

"I'm fine, G-man. Just stressed for finals tomorrow." I responded. I didn't wait for him to responded as I went to my bed and drifted off to sleep.

I was in a dark place. I didn't know where.

I stood in front of what seemed like a throne. It radiated a chilling aura that made my bones shiver. Twin spiraling pillars of rock sandwiched the throne.

On the throne, a shadowy figure sat. It had glowing red eyes. It was similar to my own. Many people told me how my eyes shined like rubies and had a malevolent feel to them, almost demonic.

I was frozen on my spot. I couldn't move, couldn't speak. As I stared into the glowing orbs of magma, the surroundings changed.

I was suddenly on what looked like a beach. On the surf, where the water met the land, a standoff was occurring.

On one side, an eagle, regal, godly, and swift as lightning.

On the other, a white stallion that shined like pearls with sea green eyes that swirled like the depths of the ocean.

Thunder boomed in the sky and the eagle struck. The horse batted it away with a powerful kick. As they fought, the ground rumbled with a voice that seemed to goad the animals to fight.

I had to stop this fight before one of them got hurt. "STOP!" I screamed.

The eagle circled then went to strike at the eyes. This time, the stallion couldn't react in time. 'NO!'

Lightning flashed and I woke up sweating profusely and breathing hard.

AN: So... What do you think? I just couldn't skip Percy eavesdropping as it is important exposition. I'm sorry if this didn't live up to your expectations. But, did you enjoy that dream sequence? Well, thanks for reading and please review what you think. I get motivation in writing from you reviewing.
