What to expect in this chapter: Sun/Moon send Freddy and Chica to get Gregory some new jammies for his naptime along with some other clothes to dress him up in and Gregory explains to Sun/Moon on why he decided to go back and apologize to them...The gang will also have some fun in trying out some fizzy faz drinks. Lets just hope they don't EXPLODE!
Chapter 4- Fizzy Faz drinks
Today Gregory was keeping himself busy by drawing some pictures of him and his newfound friends playing at the Daycare. His picture had himself playing in the ball-pit with Chica, Freddy and Sun in the daytime section on the left, while the night half on the right showed them having a pillow fight with Moon. As soon as he was done with one picture, he moves his hand to reach for another piece of paper, until something in the Daycare caught his attention on the other side of the walls. Sun, Freddy and Chica were carrying something down the steps and moving it toward the door. What it was Gregory didn't know for certain. He merely shrugs his shoulders thinking that Sun was bringing in some glitter glue or one of his arts and crafts he adores so much.
He could hear the wooden door opening along with Freddy and Chica struggling to get into a good position to get what they are carrying inside of the Daycare. "Too tight on the right Chica!" Freddy said as he tries to shimmy to the left.
"Not that way Freddy! Go here! Go here!" Chica grunts at the weight of what appears to be a big red and blue refrigerator through the door.
"Stay calm guys! We are almost there." Sun reassures the other two Animatronics and tells them to follow his lead, managing to get the big refrigerator inside of the Daycare. Gregory stops drawing as he comes over to take a look at what they are doing. Once the Animatronics got the fridge into a good position next to the ball-pit, Freddy, Sun and Chica set the fridge down gently, showing a clear glass window to look inside the fridge.
"Uh, what would this thing be?" Gregory asks in mild curiosity, staring at a huge number of soda bottles inside of the fridge. It looked to be about twenty bottles inside of the fridge. Or was it a hundred bottles? He didn't know what all was in there.
"This, my little Starbeam, is a Fizzy Faz machine!" Sun proclaims with excitement as he plugs the refrigerator in and powers it up. "Usually with this machine a paying customer has to insert a number of coins or dollars in order to get which drink they want, but Freddy, Chica and I worked around this little thing to get whatever drinks we would like without having to worry about the payment. This holds all of the Fizzy Faz drinks in one refrigerator!"
Gregory took a peek in there to see seven whole trayfuls of Fizzy Faz drinks. Some of the Fizzy Faz had candy flavors like Starburst, Kit-Kats, and there was some with fruit inspired flavors like banana, blueberry and strawberry, there was even chocolate flavored Fizzy Faz drinks. His eyes grew wide in surprise at all of the different flavors. "I don't know where to start! But I feel like I am neglecting you guys on the Fizzy Faz since you can't have these drinks!"
"Way ahead of you Sunshine!" Sun says with a smile as he turns the trays around in a circle, showing off some other flavors like root beer, vanilla, and even some of the stranger flavors like Cheeseburger Fizzy Faz and Taco Fizzy Faz. "I have managed to find some Fizzy Faz that can work for Animatronics. These ones hold the same flavor like the originals, only they have oil in them instead. So its best that you don't confuse these ones for the originals, okay? They will easily be identified by the Animatronic figure in the corner of the bottle. Also," He moves his hands into the fridge to take something out. "I don't recommend the Pepperoni Pizza Fizzy Faz. Don't ask Gregory. Just trust me and avoid this one."
Gregory nods, "I guess I can try out one of the fruit Fizzy Faz drinks first." He reaches his hand inside to take a banana Fizzy Faz, the bright yellow liquid looked good to him. He might try out a candy one next. Or should he try out one of those Root Beer Fizzy Faz drinks?
Freddy joins Gregory and takes out one of the Fizzy Faz drinks that have oil in them for robots. "I personally enjoy the Honey Fizzy Faz!"
Chica came next to grab three Fizzy Faz drinks of one flavor. "I didn't see that they made Pizza into a drink! Hey Sun, don't throw away the pepperoni one yet! I can take that!" Sun was a little bit surprised by Chica's excitement for the Pepperoni Pizza Fizzy Faz but he shrugs his shoulders as he understood that if she likes it she can take care of it for him.
So for about an hour or so, the gang was just merrily drinking the Fizzy Faz to their hearts content. Chica was not the pickiest of the four since that she likes to try out every single flavor the fridge had. Sun did have to limit her to one drink of each of the flavors since that he didn't want her to clean out the whole fridge yet. Freddy was pretty content with his choice of drinks, via honey, berries, and even fish flavored drinks, some of those drink choices confused Gregory for a bit even though it is the closest natural thing for a bear to eat in drink form. Gregory was kind of curious on which drinks Sun and Moon liked the best of the Fizzy Faz and learned that Sun likes the spicy drinks based on seeing him drink Flaming Hot Taco Fizzy Faz and BBQ Fizzy Faz, while Moon preferred to go for Hot Chocolate Fizzy Faz, Orange and Root Beer Float Fizzy Faz, or even some good old fashion milk.
It is a bit strange for Gregory to admit, but he seems to have taken an interest in the candy Fizzy Faz. Even some of the bakery flavored Fizzy Faz drinks have already climbed up to the top of his list of favorite drinks. Cookie Dough and Mint Chocolate are the top two. He did notice that even if the whole gang found their favorites, there was some Fizzy Faz drinks that some didn't really care for or tends to avoid at all cost.
Sun mentioned that he didn't like the Pepperoni Pizza Fizzy Faz, despite his love for pizza. Freddy seemed to avoid going after the bakery flavored Fizzy Faz, thanks to Gregory trying to share some of the drinks with him, but the bear politely said to Gregory that he doesn't go for any sweet treats. Even though he can carry birthday cakes in his chest cavity at times, he did mention to Gregory this little story. "I did try out a Donut Fizzy Faz one time a long time ago. It didn't end well for my taste bud circuits." Even though he felt bad that Freddy was missing out on trying out those treats with him, Gregory understood Freddy's stance on the bakery Fizzy Faz drinks. He also heard a mention from Sun that Moon shows some distaste on the spicy drinks that Sun usually drinks. It appeared that spicy drinks is not Moon's cup of hot chocolate. Chica... Lets just say that she has yet to find a flavor she didn't like.
Then Gregory thought about what kind of flavors Monty and Roxy would go for in the fridge. He could take a guess and say that Roxy might like some of the same flavors as Freddy, all except for the honey. He doesn't know which flavors Monty would like, but he can presume that the gator might like something with a southern comfort feel to it since that gators are usually found in the southern states. He did spy some cocktail Fizzy Faz with a gator figure in the corner of the bottle to confirm his suspicions. Perhaps soon after the Fizzy Faz drinks, he and Freddy should make a plan to free one of the other Animatronics soon.
But the question would be which one to free next? Monty has a lot of strength that could help out the gang, who knows he could carry the Fizzy Faz machine with ease while giving the gang a break. Roxy has that special eyesight that shows her what else is hiding inside of the Pizzaplex. Deciding to take a break from the New York Cheesecake Fizzy Faz for a while, Gregory was about ready to stop and think for a moment on which games in the arcade could be acting strange like Chicas, at least until Sun caught his attention with a turn of his head and holding a measuring tape in his hands.
"Gregory! Do you mind if I borrow you for a bit?" Sun asks while Gregory just looks at him in confusion at the interruption but nods his head. "Raise your hands across from each other and stand up straight." As the boy does as he is told, Sun is moving around him in a clockwise motion, measuring how tall he is, how long his arms are, how long his legs are and so forth. "Okay, just position your arms to the front now like you want to push something... There! That should do it!" As soon as Sun was done with measuring Gregory, he proceeded to make some notes on the measurements and hands them to Freddy and Chica. "See to it that you guys get Gregory some new pajamas!"
"Aye, aye Sunny!" Freddy salutes and rushes out of the Daycare with Chica following behind him. Gregory's eyes blink in confusion after hearing he is getting some new pajamas as the two Animatronics leave the Daycare for now to go to one of the clothing stores in the mall.
"You don't have to get me some new clothes Sun." Gregory protests lightly in a polite manner. "The clothes I have are good the way they are during naptime with Moon." He didn't really understand why Sun would go through this whole trouble to get some new jammies for him while he has been fine with the clothes he stole from the Pizzaplex- er, more like on accident since the clothes were accidently left behind by some unsuspecting shoppers who were carelessly swinging their bags full of clothes next to the exits.
"I'm sure they are fine my little Starbeam, but I wanted to help you out in not having to wear the same clothes every single day." Sun explains. "I should also make a note to Freddy to get some more clothing to dress you up in. Perhaps we can do a dress up activity next!" Gregory spots something a little strange from Sun as his rays were slowly moving inside his circular head. It wasn't nighttime yet in the Daycare since the lights were not turned off. But then he remembers what Sun mentioned on the Fizzy Faz upon their first meeting in the Daycare when he was looking for the security badge. He mentioned drinking the Fizzy Faz until they explode.
"Uh Sun, are you feeling okay from the Fizzy Faz? Your not going to explode are you?" He asks, a little nervously as Sun was grabbing the sides of his face like he was feeling sick and looking down on the ground.
"BOO!" Sun shouts in excitement as the rays spring back, making Gregory jump two steps backwards when Sun gave him the scare. "Ho, ho, ho! I am only kidding Gregory! I often can't help but tease people when I say I want to drink some Fizzy Faz until our heads EXPLODE!" His rays retracted a bit and then spring back out for that special effect. Upon seeing that Sun was only teasing him, Gregory laughed a little. "There is one thing Moony and I are curious about Gregory... What made you decide to come back and apologies to us?" Sun asks curiously with his own question, making Gregory stop laughing as he ponders how to explain his answer as simple as he can.
Gregory thinks back to the time before he got the final upgrades to fix Freddy's eyes, voice box and claws from one of the S.T.A.F.F. bots. He responds while reciting from memory. "It didn't occur for me to do that at first since I was more concerned for Freddy and with trying to get out from the Pizzaplex before Vanny found me. I was busy just traversing through different areas until I took a picture at these two posters near the indoor theater that I found a secret hallway. I went through the door and saw all of the toys on the floor. From a little red tent to a small Monty plush sitting in a chair to a dismantled S.T.A.F.F. bot with the eyes, voice box and claws I needed for Freddy. So I helped myself to some of that stuff before I got a good look around the place. I went through one of the small plastic tunnels into another small corner of the room to find an arcade game with a balloon character on the side. I admit, I thought it was strange that the balloon arcade game was acting kind of like the two Princess Quest arcade games I found in the past while moving around the plex, how it was giving me a feeling that I need to play it in order to free it, but from what I didn't really know. So since I needed a break from being chased around and I still had some time to spare, I decided to play with it and get the highest score.
While I was playing it, I started to notice both you and Moon in the background of the game, doing the night and day routine in the game with just your faces. But as I progressed through the game in making sure this balloon boy would get further and further into the next stage, I thought I was seeing things in the glitches of the game that were slowly starting to show as I keep going. There was quotes in the game that caught my attention; one said 'Help them!", another said "Save them!", but at the time I didn't know what the game was talking about so I just proceed to ignore it and continue the game. Just before I got over the thirteen thousand high score, the glitching quotes began to change, this time one said, "Keep going! You are freeing them!" Once I got to the fifteen thousand score, the game started to glitch and I noticed you glowing in red from the background and..." Gregory pauses for a moment as he shivers from the memory of that twisted version of Sun in the game. "I'll be honest... I almost stopped playing the game the moment the balloons were slowly deflating and then the game promptly said 'Error' for a brief moment. I didn't expect much from the error since I saw the same thing with the first two Princess Quest games, so I took a break from the game to explore more of the room I was in before I would go to meet up with Freddy back at Parts/Services.
It wasn't until I heard the music from the Daycare that I realized I had found your room Sun, and I played your arcade game you were hiding in the room, that I started getting these sad and ominous thoughts about you that I had misunderstood and took for granted on your kindness. The lights strung all over the place, staying on showed me that you were desperate at the time to keep Moon from coming out. The pictures the children made for you all over the wall were artworks that you dearly loved from the kids you took care of and that you cherish working with kids, even if some of them were mean to you, including me when I ignored you. The torn apart bot was probably your desperate act in trying to find the glitch virus and how to fix Moon, even if you weren't equipped to do the job since you are a Daycare worker, not a engineer..." Gregory rests his right hand on his face as he ruffles his hair a bit. "But as soon as I knew that I was in your room, I immediately thought that I should get out of there before you found out where I was and try to ban me again from the Daycare or send Moon after me again. So I went back the way I came and raced to find Freddy at Parts/Services to give him the upgrades.
But after I discovered your room and played your game, I began to think over what had happened to you guys and try to find some sort of link with you guys being hacked the same way as the others. My first thought was; why is Moon a danger to me and Sun is not? Shouldn't both of you be coming after me and not just one? And whenever someone is looking for me they usually say stuff like 'Your parents are looking for you', or 'the security guard wants you to come with us', but with Moon he never says any of those things. He only tells me 'Its past your bedtime' or 'bad children must be found'. Never once did he say those things the other Animatronics would say.
That was when I started to feel guilty about what I had done to you. At first I tried to ignore it and that its not my problem anymore, but the more I tried to push it aside the more it pushed back." Gregory stops for a moment to take a sip from the fizzy faz before continuing. "Once when I got to the exit before six a.m., when Freddy told me that we can still find some clues around the building, that was when I couldn't take the guilt anymore. So I asked him, 'Can we head back to the Daycare Freddy? There is something I need to do before we search for clues.' Freddy asked me why I was thinking about the Daycare over anything else we could be searching for. He was more curious about the reason I said that more than trying to help me keep my priority's straight. I told him simply, 'I need to fix a mistake I made.' Freddy understood what I was trying to say and allowed me to lead us back to the Daycare."
Gregory looks at the jester listening intently to the story that he was telling. After the story was finished, Gregory states sadly. "You were the only other Animatronic who was nice to me, and I wanted to amend my mistake with you. I was prepared to take Moon's punishment if he still wanted to do that before I caught your attention on the slide. But you guys showed me mercy instead after when I apologized." He could feel Sun rubbing his back in comfort, probably trying to silently tell Gregory that they understand why he did what he did and that they are grateful knowing the reason why he came back to them. "Did you feel anything after when I freed Moon from the glitch?"
"One moment, I couldn't hear what Moony was saying, and then POOF! He could talk to me again!" Sun said as his hands popped open on the poof sound he made.
'Sunny has been a big help after the virus left me.' Moon speaks through the speaker on Sun, much to Sun's delight at the comment. 'I wasn't myself while the virus had me in its hold, like I was a puppet in their agenda. But after you played the game, it was like someone took the key to my cage and freed me from my chains of slavery to the glitch.'
Gregory narrows his eyes in curiosity, wondering if he should dare to find out what was going on that Vanny wanted to use him for or if he should leave it be. "What was the agenda Vanny wanted you to do?"
Moon answers cryptically. "Remnant. Immortality. Sacrificing the lives of children so that her master could be revived and continue killing the innocents like he did in the Missing Children Incident long before we were created." Gregory was silent at this information. He had heard about the stories of what happened many years ago when Freddy's distant counterpart in a restaurant called 'Freddy Fazbear's Pizza' long before the Pizzaplex became a thing. Legends had it that Glamrock Freddy's original counterpart who he was based off of was actually haunted by the spirits of the 5 Missing Children. He also had heard stories about the Sister Location and the gruesome stories that went with it like how a girl got killed when she got too close to a clown Animatronic, thankfully nothing related to Sun or Moon, and how one kid in the 'Fredbears Family Diner' got stuck in the gold bear's jaws before getting his head crushed while the bullies looked on in horror after trying to play a prank on him.
Even though those were separate events that happened long before he was born, something about them felt... familiar to him for some strange reason. He didn't know exactly why, and he didn't know why he actually trusted the voice in the arcade games as if it was an old friend who was guiding him to save the Animatronics. Perhaps some mysteries were better left untold for now. He decides not to put those thoughts out of his mind for the time being.
It was taking Freddy and Chica quite a while to get the clothing that Sun needed for Gregory, so while they were waiting they decided to have some fun in the ball pit, at least until they return. Being in the ball-pit reminded Gregory of how Sun would just watch him on the sidelines when he was trying to get away from him and find the Security Badge, noting that he was just watching like a chaperone and how Moon wouldn't go into the ball-pit when he was chasing Gregory after he found the badge. It made him curious to know why they did that and if Moon had an irrational fear of the ball-pit. "Hey Sun, why didn't you or Moon go after me in the ball-pit when you first met me?" He asks his curious question.
Sun responds with a laugh while swimming in the ball-pit with Gregory. "Oh, you looked like you were having such a fun time and I didn't want to disturb you Gregory. I was comfortable waiting by the ramp until you were done. As for why Moon didn't follow you in there, it was because the last kid before you had an... accident... in the ball-pit." Gregory looks around the ball-pit in confusion. It looked to be plenty safe for any child who comes in the Daycare. There would be nothing to cause any accidents as far as he knew about them. Sun saw the boys confusion on the subject as he explains. "By accidents, I mean when the kids mistakenly go potty in the ball-pit." That made Gregory's eyes narrow in disgust.
"Should I get out of the ball-pit right now?" He asks as he searches which part of the ball-pit the 'accident' was in.
"Don't you worry a thing about it Starbeam! I already cleaned the whole ball-pit before you came to apologize to me." Sun reassures as he helps the boy to relax and enjoy the ball-pit some more. Gregory let out a sigh of relief at the info Sun gave him. "But... once the ball-pit is all clean... Then Moon can play in the ball-pit."
"Do you mind if I see what Moon does when he is in the ball-pit?" Gregory was curious about what Moon would do when he is in the ball-pit. Would he swim in it like Sun? Or play needle in the haystack like Gregory in finding a certain colored ball among the pile?
But before Sun could think about going over to the Security Desk to show Gregory exactly what Moon does in the ball-pit they heard a couple of knocks on the wooden door. Freddy and Chica were back and they were both carrying one bag each on their shoulders. "Are we late for the fun Sun?" Chica asks with a smile on her beak.
Sun shakes his head as he sees they have returned with the new clothes he needs. "Nope! You and Freddy are just in time Chica!" He waves a hand for Gregory to come over and see the new clothes he was looking over. One of them was a silk satin pajama pants and shirt in the form of Freddy. Another one was a onesie pajamas that looked like Chica. One was a pajama shirt and pants with a collar that looked identical to Sun, but no Moon. Gregory was a little disappointed in not finding any clothes that look like Moon's but he did see that there was a hat like his, only smaller. Sun appeared to have a mischievous smile on his face as he turns to Gregory. "Time to switch clothes Gregory!"
"No thanks!" Gregory tried to snake his way out of being dressed up like a doll by the Animatronics, but he didn't get very far when he accidentally bumps into Freddy and then before he knew it Freddy was holding him by the shoulders gently as Chica was the first to dress the boy up in the onesie of her pajama choice for him, slipping it on him in no time and then pulled the hood which resembles her head on top his head. Gregory could see a little sheepishly that the arms seem to act as wings instead of actual arms the way Chica has. Must be because the design was suppose to actually resemble a chicken.
Chica beams happily while Sun admires the design by her side. "Aw Gregory honey, you look so cute!" Even though Gregory thought this way embarrassing, he didn't have the heart to tell her he looks ridiculous in the onesie.
"Uh, I don't know if I look cute Chica..." Gregory said in apprehension as he scratches the back of his head.
"Daw!" Freddy cocks his head to the side as he admires how cute Gregory was. "Lets try out my pajamas on you next Superstar! You will like these ones, even though I can't wear them." Freddy switches Gregory out of the Chica onesie pajama set and exchanges it with the Freddy pajama set. This one has a pajama shirt that looks like Freddy's chest and pajama shorts that look like his legs with the red bands close to the knees. A nightcap hat that looks like Freddy's is placed on Gregory's head tilting to the left side.
"Now he looks like a SuperStar!" Sun beams and clasps his hands in glee while Gregory was stretching his arms and legs with the pajama suit on. "We should try out our pajama set next! Oh, Gregory's going to love this one!" Gregory sighs quietly like he is tired of being used like a dress up doll but since there was just one more pajama set to try out, he will try it just to make Sun and Moon happy. He can swallow his pride for a few minutes.
Changing from Freddy's pajamas to Sun pajamas was a little tricky at first, namely switching the shorts for the red and yellow striped pajama pants since the shorts got stuck only once on the shirt but a simple small tug did the trick. There was also a headband with Sun's rays that Gregory had to put on. As for the shirt, it was a yellow long sleeve with red trimmings on the end as well as bells hanging onto them. Gregory didn't want to walk around in the slippers that took a look alike appearance to Sun's shoes, in fear that he would be mistaken easily as the Daycare Attendant themselves, but he relaxed a bit when he noticed the image on the sides of the shoes were of a star and not the sun or moon.
"What do you think Superstar?" Freddy asks as he, Chica and Sun study Gregory's new pajamas with great interest. Gregory was stretching his arms and legs for a bit in order to get more comfortable with the clothing. Sun's clothing seemed to be as soft as cotton.
"Its pretty good. But I am just disappointed..." He trails off as if thinking they would go through all the trouble to get another set of clothing they either forgot about or purposefully misplaced.
"Disappointed about what honey?" Chica asks in concern, wondering what is making Gregory feel down in the dumps in the dress up game.
Gregory responds sadly. "There's no clothing that belongs to Moon! I got Freddy, I got Sun, and I even got you Chica, but Moon's pajama set is no where to be found!" He noticed that Sun was moving over to the light switch in the Daycare to turn off the lights. Once the lights turn off, the pajama set he had on changed colors. Much like Sun's transformation to Moon, the red and yellow pajama pants changed to blue with a small collection of stars on and the pajama shirt Gregory had on switched from a pale yellow color to black on the left and white on the right. "Woah!" Gregory jumps in surprise at the change in the pajamas.
"Sun specifically told us to fetch this pajama set so that you get a two in one combo in dressing like Sun and Moon." Chica points out as Gregory was studying the pajamas with great interest as he touches the pants, shirt and takes off the sun headband to switch over to the nightcap. "When it is daytime, the pajamas will resemble Sun's clothing, but when it gets dark it switches over to Moon's clothing."
"I LOVE YOU GUYS! This is the best new clothing I could ever want!" Gregory cheerfully smiles as he jumps up and down, almost losing his nightcap in the process before he catches it and adjusts it back to its original spot on his head. In the background by the light switch he noticed that Moon was covering his mouth to keep from laughing.
"That's good Gregory," Freddy comments. "Now that the dress up game is done, we have work to do Superstar! While we were shopping for clothing Chica and I just found another arcade game that is acting strange and we will need your help to figure out how it works."
"Which arcade game is that?" Gregory asks curiously as Moon was walking over behind him to listen closely at what Freddy was saying.
Chica answers for Freddy. "The arcade game is actually a racing game and it could be the key to free Roxy from the glitch. Stories from the S.T.A.F.F. bots say that even if it was unplugged from the rest of the arcade close by to Roxy's Raceway, it is still functioning and it is waiting for someone to come play it." Gregory was surprised that the next game he has to play is a racing one. He was secretly kind of hoping that a game linked to Monty would be the next one he has to go for, but Roxy's is good too. There will be a chance to free Monty at another time.
Without further ado, Gregory did as he is told by Freddy in changing to his regular outfit and heads on over with the Animatronics to the arcade game. Freddy reassures Moon before they left the Daycare, "Once we get Roxy back, I will make sure to send Gregory right over to you for his naptime."
Moon nods his head as he understands what they need to do. "Alright. Just don't take too long."
A/N: I hope you guys enjoy this chapter. The next chapter is underway and if you would like to suggest what Gregory and the Animatronics should do with Sun/Moon feel free to leave a comment. We will eventually get to rescuing Monty and Vanessa in the later chapters.
