Two Weeks After Exam Results

Midoriya's Apartment

Musutafu, Japan

"Bangke...badan gua ga pernah sepegel ini...(Fuck...my body has never been this sore before...)" Izuku mutters as he massages his shoulder while groaning. He then winces when he accidentally touches the bruises thanks to Gran Torino's training. He then stops and looks back at the notebook on the table.

'You overdid it, Midoriya...' Nana says with a sigh. 'I told you many times to not do it, yet you refuse to listen.'

'I had to, Nana. Not only am I very much lagging in the quirk department, but the future is getting more and more uncertain! Thanks to god-knows-what, I have seen so many changes in this world, and my god, I have no idea how it would affect this future!' Izuku rambles in his mind. 'I gather a lot of information, hacking through the computers through your guidance, and barely avoid getting tracked down. Abd let's not forget!' Izuku closes down the new notebook he got to write down everything with a loud slam, the title 'Analysis for the Past, Present, and Future #1' written on the cover.

'I could only write down the changes like the Lady Nagant, HPSC, Hawks, Vigilante before the Naruhata, and so on!' Izuku rubs his forehead. 'And with such a mess this is, it looks like things just...GAH!!!! I no longer know anymore!'

Izuku simply slams his forehead into the desk, completely drained from his ranting. His breath grows heavy before he takes a deep breath and lets out a sigh.

'I...I'm sorry...' Izuku says exhaustedly. 'I...I have never been so lost...sure, I usually get stuck in some situation...but, it's never to the point it's unsolvable. But, now...god, I am very much drained and not a single idea comes into my mind. So, sorry...I end up whining at you guys...'

'No need to apologize, Midoriya. Your frustration is justified.' Nana replies.

'You could still consider the vigilante route.' Kudo points out.

'Kudo, you know through reading my memories that subtleness isn't my best suit. It's like asking All Might in his glory to be subtle, which you know is impossible. And let's not forget, I am currently attending Japan's Number 1 Hero School, where pro heroes are the school staff, and one of them is an underground hero who's infamous for his ability to turn off people's quirk.' Izuku sighs. 'There are so many risks I had to consider. I'm not going to be a good vigilante. If I had started very early, I would've done it. But...you know me, spending the majority of my time in self-pity...'

'...' Kudo let out a sigh. 'Is that the only reason? Or is there another?'

'...that's the only reason.' Izuku replies, placing down his pen before getting up and walking out of the room. He puts on his shoes before reaching the front door and turns around to face Inko, who's cooking in the kitchen.

"Mom, I'm going out for a moment," Izuku says, getting her attention.

"Okay, dear! Please be back before dinner!" Izuku merely nodded as he left the house. He decides to do a light jog through the street while remaining deep in thought. He can't stop thinking about his current predicament.

He continues to jog while remaining deep in thought until he arrives at Dagobah Beach. He stares at the sunset happening right at the sea, feeling the winds blowing his wild hair, before letting out a sigh.

"God, I wish I wasn't in this current predicament..." Izuku mutters before he sits on the ground, burying his head on his knees as his arms wrap around his head. "...I wish there was a familiar face...especially him; I could've used his assistance right now."

'Who are you talking about, Midoriya?' Nana asks.

'...it doesn't matter. he's probably moved on right now.' Izuku dismisses her question before getting up and stretching his limbs.

"H-Help!!"

Crash!

This immediately gets Izuku's attention as he turns around and notices a young boy with blond hair and a pair of blue eyes with a pair of fox ears on top of his head, a pair of fluffy fox tails being harassed by a pair of jocks (wasn't trying to be rude, but those jocks have nothing noteworthy in their appearance. It's like those nameless bullies you encounter in high school movies.). Izuku sees broken machinery and bruised hands on the young boy, who seems to tear up, which is enough to provide explanations to him.

"...setiap kali (...Every time)" Izuku sighs before approaching them. When Izuku sees the jock raising his fist and plans to slam it into the kid, Izuku immediately speeds up and catches his hand.

"What the-!?" Before the guy could say anything, Izuku tightened his grip on the jock's wrist, causing the guy to yelp in pain as they can hear a loud crack from the guy's wrist.

"May I ask you, gentlemen, why is it a good idea for you two to harass a young boy?" Izuku asks before letting go. "I truly hope it's not for horrific reasons"

"Don't stick your nose into other's business." The guy growls.

"How can I not? When you simply walk on a street and see two big guys cornering a little boy, anyone could assume the worst." Izuku says as the guy immediately went for a punch on Izuku's face. Izuku dodges the punch before grab the guy's arm and judo-flipped the man hard, which causes them to hear another loud crack.

"Geez, I didn't slam too hard, did I?" Izuku asks with a grimace, causing the jock to painfully get up and try to use both hands to grab on Izuku. Izuku wasn't having any of it and decided to stomp on his face, causing him to be knocked to the ground and fall unconscious, making Izuku sweatdrop.

"Geez, that's all it took to knock them out," Izuku mutters before his eyes glow red for a second and he immediately holds out his hand to catch an incoming fist. He turns around to see the guy who he broke his wrist (Or is it the other one? He can't remember any of them.) before landing a swift punch on his face, knocking him out.

"..." Izuku looks at the boy, who watches him with wide eyes. "You're okay?"

"Y-yeah...t-thanks for saving me, mister." Izuku can't help but sweatdrop at being called Mister. It didn't help that the majority of Japanese are still similar to his old world, preferring using san, kun, dono, or chan for honorifics.

"Don't call me mister; I'm not that old," Izuku says as he scratches his cheeks causing the boy to blush slightly.

"S-sorry, I was trying to get used to Japanese honorifics." The boy admits.

"Mah, not to worry about it," Izuku says before looking at the broken machinery. "...that's yours?"

"Y-yeah..." The boy says as his ears and tails flop down in sadness. Izuku reaches towards it and picks each of the pieces up before giving it to the boy.

"Is...it beyond repair? I was never been good at machineries..." Izuku admits.

"I-it's repairable..." The boy admits before Izuku gives them all to him. "T-thanks...w-wow, y-you got every broken piece..."

"No problem," Izuku says with a smile. "I'm Izuku Midoriya, sorry for the late introduction."

"A-ah, no need to apologize! I also forgot..." The boy sheepishly rubs his head. "I-I'm Miles Prower, but you can call me Miles." Miles then notices Izuku's eyes seemingly grow wider. "U-um, Izuku?"

"A-ah, sorry. I was lost in my thoughts." Izuku says nervously as his mind runs in 100 Miles Prower (Yeah, I know, bad puns. But, I can't help it). 'Miles!? Do you mean the same one from Sonic the Hedgehog franchises!? How is it possible!?'

'Kid, I think your future is less and less accurate.' Banjo points out.

'You have no fucking idea...' Izuku mentally sighs.

"So...what are you doing out here, and how did get yourself into trouble?" Izuku asks.

"W-well...I was just testing the new devices I made...I was hoping to test it on this beach since I heard it was a great place for testing it, and maybe I could take a few pictures of the sunset for my friends in the States...but those two suddenly appeared and started to harass me...calling me a tailed freak and whatnot..." Miles mutters the last part, but it is loud enough to be heard by Izuku.

"...Gua malu sebagai warga Jepang...(I am ashamed to be Japanese citizens...)" Izuku mutters before palming his face. Miles' ears perk up as he hears his words.

"W-what?" Miles can't help but wonder what he just said, especially when he uses a completely different language. One he had never heard in his life.

"N-no need to worry about it." Izuku shrugs it off. "By the way, I can't help but be amazed by the tech. Do you make this?"

"Yeah!" Miles nods. "It was supposed to be an advanced scouting drone that could detect any lifeforms, especially if those lifeforms are injured! Not only that, it is also equipped with a first aid kit and programmed with basic medical treatment!"

"...oh, wow. That's amazing." Izuku says with wide eyes. Miles can't help but smile slightly before he frowns sadly.

"Yeah...but, it ends up broken," Miles says. Izuku can't help but feel bad for being too focused on his problems and not paying enough attention to help the poor kid.

"Hey, don't be distraught," Izuku says before placing his hand on his shoulder. "Don't let those fools win by breaking your spirit. You said that it's still repairable, right? Well, you could just repair it again. And maybe you could improve it, like increasing its durability."

"Y-you're right!" Miles says as he perks up. "Drones could be destroyed by unknown factors, so better durability would be helpful so it won't get destroyed while searching or treating people!" Miles looks at Izuku. "Thanks, Izuku-, I, uh, umm...it's -san, right?"

"Yeah," Izuku chuckles a bit. "I'm glad I could help." Miles smiles at him before he pauses, and something inside him clicks.

"Wait, you say that your name's Izuku Midoriya, right? The same examiner who got the 1st Hero Course Entrance Exam!?" Miles gasps. "N-no wonder you look so familiar!"

"Umm...how do you know that?" Izuku asks as Miles rubs his head sheepishly.

"W-well, I...might take a peek into the official results while doing my Support Course Exam...?" Miles says with a sheepish smile.

"...you hacked into U.A.?" Izuku mutters in disbelief.

"...I hacked into U.A." Miles drops his head before giving Izuku a pleading look. "Please don't tell Nedzu about this!"

"No need to worry about it. I won't say a word." Izuku waves him off as he lets out a sigh. "But, I bet that it's no use. Nedzu probably knows about it."

"S-surely, it can't be true..." Miles turns pale.

"Nedzu's known for being the smartest creature alive." Izuku points out as Miles collapses, causing Izuku to panic. "B-but, I doubt Nedzu will do anything! I mean, you did get the results, right?"

"...I-I did..." Miles mutters as they both let out a sigh of relief. "T-thanks..."

"N-no need, I should've not scared you like that..." Izuku rubs his head sheepishly.

"I-it's okay. I shouldn't have scared you like that." Izuku says before noticing that the sun is already set. "I-it's very late now, how about we both go back home before we worried our parents?"

"Ah, right!" Miles exclaims before he walks off but not before saying "Thank you, Izuku-san! I hope you'll have an enjoyable first day in Hero Course!" to Izuku.

"Ah, yeah. You too in Support Course, Miles!" Izuku yells as he watches Miles getting further away. "...ah, fuck. The future knowledges are completely fucked."

'I think we can all agree it was the moment we saw the news about Lady Nagant.' En points out.

'So not helping...' Izuku's eyes twitches.

The Next Day

Midoriya's Apartment

Musutafu, Japan

"You got everything, right? Notebooks, pens, tissues!?" Inko asks frantically.

"Calm down, Mom," Izuku says with a slight chuckle. "I did check everything. Double, triple, and quadruple check."

"I hope so. This is your first day. In the best hero school." Inko says in a worried tone. "I know you have grown more confident and got a quirk, but I can't stop worrying about you."

"I know, mom. And that's what makes you the best mom anyone could ask for." Izuku smiles warmly, which catches Inko off guard before registers what he said and feels touched, a teary smile forms on her face.

"G-good luck!" Izuku nods as he reaches the door before pausing and giving Inko a warm hug.

"I-Izuku?" Inko yelps in surprise.

"J-just want to give you a hug..." Izuku mutters, before letting go. "I'm going, Mom. See you this evening," Izuku opens the door before closing it behind him. As Izuku walks down the stairs, he feels the vestiges trying to get his attention.

'You're okay, kid?' Hikage asks in concern.

'Y-yeah...just remember a detail...how I never got to say goodbye to my old parents...' Izuku mutters before rushing off, trying not to let tears escape his eyes. He reaches the bus stop and not long after, the bus arrives and he gets in. He still wondered why his canon self chose to pick a train over a bus since it wasn't taking so long, but he ain't gonna get the answer so he just pushed the thoughts aside.

It took a while, but Izuku managed to get into the U.A.'s entrance gate. As he walks into the building, his eyes glow red for a moment, and turns around to see Kirishima who's about to touch his shoulder, now looking more like his manga/anime counterpart.

"I still wonder how you always know?" Kirishima asks with a wide grin. Izuku smiles at him before they fist bump. Behind them, Uraraka and Hagakura walking towards U.A. while waving at them.

"Hey, guys!" Hagakure calls out as both boys wave back at her. "I can't believe it! Today's our first day, in U.A.! I thought it was gonna be a dream!"

"I still pinching my cheeks to see if I'm dreaming," Uraraka mutters as Hagakure pinches one of her cheeks. "Owwie!"

'...how did she do it while making it look cute!?' Izuku asks himself in his mind, which is a big mistake as he hears the vestiges chuckle in his mind. '...tai(...shit)'

Thankfully, he was spared from any teasing as Koda walked towards them. He gives everyone a wave while smiling warmly.

"Hey, Koda," Izuku says while waving at him, which follows up with the others. "So, you're excited for today?" Koda nods as his smile grows wider.

"Well, let's go then!" Izuku exclaims as they all enter the building. It took a moment before they found their class. Izuku stares at the door silently as he's deep in thought.

He can't help but remember his encounter with Bakugou again in Aldera. He was cornered by Bakugou and was told to give up the course, but due to his old personality, he told Bakugou off, albeit with a bit more anger and curses than he was supposed to do. This caught Bakugou so off guard that he didn't go to chase after him or even angry at his words.

Izuku feels like he messed up a bit, and curses himself for losing his temper like his old self. Now, he got Bakugou's attention, something he didn't even want to do in the first place. After remembering his past life, he's unable to see Bakugou in the same light and tries to avoid him, but his current self makes him feel conflicted. Despite knowing their friendship is beyond repair, he can't stop thinking if there's a way to fix it.

"Midori-bro." Izuku snaps out of his thoughts before looking at Eijirou. "You're okay? You have always been deep in thoughts."

"Sorry, sorry. I just wondering who's going to be my classmate." Izuku hastily replies. And now his mind starts to wander into the three names on the entrance exam ranking. He now wonders who's going to be in which class.

"Oh, cool. Me too!" Eijirou exclaims. "We're gonna spend our 3 years in this school with them! I hope we can have manly classmates!"

"Maybe I could find some girls sharing the same interests with me, or whoever that's fun!" Hagakure says.

"Yeah!" Uraraka exclaims. "And today's the perfect day to know each other! And I can't help but wonder what kind of class we're having today!"

Izuku looks at Koda who simply shrugs before signing 'I just hope to find more good friends'.

"Me too, Koda. Me too." Izuku replies to Koda, before receiving a quizzical look from the others. "He's hoping to find more good friends." This earns a nod of agreement from everyone. Izuku decides to open the door, sliding it to the side as he is hoping for a new start to his journey to be a hero.

"Get off your feet from the desk! Show your senior some respect!"

"Fuck off, four eyes! I can do whatever the hell I want!"

The quintet blinks as they witness the chaos in the class. Iida and Bakugou, at the desk near the window, are arguing with each other. They look around to see a group of students simply ignoring the chaos, too focused on their fun. Izuku notices that the girl and the grey-haired boy are also in the class.

Izuku's eyes twitch as he watches the scene, before deciding to close the door with a slam. Izuku looks at others, all of them have similar blank looks on their face.

"...is it too late to move into Shiketsu?" Izuku asks in a regretful tone, which causes the vestiges in his head to chuckle while his friends can't help but snort at his comment. Izuku's eyes glow red again and he looks down, to see a guy in a yellow sleeping bag (Shota Aizawa a.k.a Eraserhead).

"...what the fuck?" Izuku mutters, causing the others to look down and yelp in surprise. He knows about Aizawa's antics thanks to his past life, but seeing it himself is more surprising. He guesses that he believes that since this is the real world, some anime/manga comedic moments will be toned down. But, then he remembers how Kirishima got lost and now he feels stupid to believe that.

"I must be losing my touch if someone detects me in an instant. Or you're just very good at it." Aizawa mutters before he gets up and zips down the sleeping bag. "Why were you all remain outside the class?"

"Well..." Izuku gestures towards the door which causes Aizawa to raise his eyebrow before opening the door.

"H-HOW FOUL!!! ARE YOU TRULY CERTAIN YOU ARE IN THE HERO COURSE!?!"

"I SAID FUCK OFF, FOUR-EYES!!!"

Aizawa immediately slams the door closed with a blank expression before looking at the quintet. Izuku rubs the back of his head nervously.

"So...can I move to Class 1-B?" Izuku asks as Aizawa gives him a deadpan stare.

"...go to the changing room. In the room, there are lockers with your name on it and there are gym uniforms inside. Go change and meet me in the training field." Aizawa says as Uraraka raises her hand.

"What about the orientation?" Uraraka asks.

"It was merely a formality and I doubt you are all willing to listen to a long story of how Nedzu grooms his fur daily." Aizawa deadpans. "All you need to know is that the campus website is necessary for some subjects where you need to submit your assignments, and always check your emails. One of the emails will give you access to Japan's Hero Network for hero course students. That'll be all."

Izuku had never felt so surprised in his life. None of this information was ever told in the manga/anime and even the majority of fanfics didn't bother to mention it. He lets out a sigh before walking away from the class and into the changing room, with the rest following suit.

'Another information you seem to lack.' En mentions.

'At this point, all of my knowledge is useless...' Izuku thought, unable to get rid of the growing dread in his mind. He has a feeling that there will be more of it.
