"Mom, I'm back from the Pokemon Center." Rosa said, before noticing the houseguest. "You're awake."
"Where am I?" Ash asked.
"You're in my moms house, and you're awake, and naked. You are awake, and naked and standing in the living room of my moms house." Rosa said still trying to process what was happening.
"Sorry Rosa, I just went into the other room to grab… oh you're awake." Rosa's Mother said, seeing Ash stand there, trying to cover himself.
"Yes, you must be the mom, where, where are my clothes, and can I get a better description of where I am?" Ash asked.
"Right, clothes and location." Rosa's mother said, ushering her daughter away. "Your clothes were burnt to a crisp, sorry about that."
"It, it's fine, thank you for taking care of me, I think… how'd I end up here?" Ash asked, grabbing two pillows.
"You sort of fell through the roof of my daughters bedroom." Rosa's Mother said, handing Ash a pair of shorts, some underwear and a t shirt with a band logo on it. "Do you know who you are, or how you ended up flying by any chance?"
"Right, right." Ash said, pulling the underwear on first. "I'm Ash, Ash Ketchum, from Pallet Town in the Kanto region, and I was attacked by something I'm not sure what though." Ash said, still processing everything himself.
"Kanto… Kanto!" Rosa exclaimed, before turning back around to avoid eye contact with the half dressed Ash. "The Pikachu that landed with you, Nurse Joy said they're common there."
"My Pikachu!" Ash exclaimed. "He's here too?"
"Yeah, he's just at the Pokemon Center in town and… you left without a thank you." Rosa said with a huff.
"Bwarp!" Lillipup barked angrily.
"Relax, he'll probably be back, if it were you and Lillipup you'd be the exact same way." Rosa's Mother said.
"I know, but he still could have said thank you." Rosa reminded.
Outside
"Pikachu!" Ash called out, running towards the Pokemon Center.
Inside the Pokemon Center, Nurse Joy was checking on Pikachu waiting for a confirmation message back from Officer Jenny when a few sparks came from Pikachu's cheeks as his eyes slowly opened.
"Pi?" Pikachu said groggily.
"Oh, Pikachu, you're awake." Nurse Joy said.
"Pika?" Pikachu asked, seeing the nurse Joy as his ears twitched and he hopped off the table.
"Pikachu!" Ash exclaimed, lifting his partner Pokemon up.
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu exclaimed excitedly.
"So you must be his trainer then." The Nurse Joy said.
"Yeah, my names Ash from Pallet Town." Ash said.
"Well Ash, I don't know if you've been told but your mother is quite worried about you and her other son, do you know maybe where he landed?" Nurse Joy asked.
"Oh, no when she says her boys she means me and Pikachu." Ash said. "Do you have a phone I can use to call her?"
"I'm sorry our phone lines are down right now, we've been faxing back and forth from here and Nuvema Town." The Nurse Joy said. "However if you're looking to call, I believe the Pokemon Center in Floccesy Town is fully operational, and I can let your mother know you'll be calling soon."
"That would be great!" Ash said turning towards the door before turning back around. "Which way is Floccesy Town?"
"Leave town heading north and then it's a straight shot east, you can't miss it." Rosa said walking in.
"Hey it's you, ummm wait I don't think I got your name." Ash admitted.
"My name is Rosa and you owe me a new room!" Rosa said angrily.
"I'm sorry okay, I didn't mean to, well I'm not really sure why I owe you a new room but it's not my fault." Ash said defensively.
"Let me make this perfectly clear Ash Ketchum, no matter where you go, I will not leave you alone until you have paid back my room!" Rosa said angrily.
"Of course you will." Ash sighed. "So does that mean you're also going to Floccesy Town with me?"
"I suppose so, but my mother said that you might want these." Rosa said, tossing Ash a bag. "There's shoes and everything you had that isn't destroyed in there."
"Thanks." Ash said, pulling out and putting on the shoes, not noticing the black stone below them. "So should we get going?"
"I suppose, maybe your mother will be willing to pay off your debt." Rosa said with a huff.
"So can you tell me something?" Ash asked as they began walking.
"I suppose." Rosa said.
"Who's that Pokemon with you?" Ash asked looking at Lillipup in Rosa's arms.
"Oh this is Lillipup." Rosa said. "He and I are partners."
"Hey, like me and Pikachu then. And this shirt, who are The Lillipups anyways?" Ash said with a smirk.
"It's a girl group of idols." Rosa said.
"That you just happen to have a t shirt in my size of?" Ash questioned.
"My mom did some work as an agent for one of them and we still have more merchandise than we know what to do with." Rosa admitted.
"Fair enough." Ash said as the two walked past a building. "Is that a trainers school or a gym?"
"Both actually, it's a school during the week and the teacher runs the gym during the weekend." Rosa said.
"Hear that buddy, they've got gyms here in Unova too!" Ash said excitedly.
"Pika Pi!" Pikachu exclaimed.
"So do you know what kind of Pokemon the gym leader uses?" Ash asked as they walked towards the exit out of town.
"No, why would I?" Rosa snipped.
"Sorry, I figured since you live here and have a Pokemon you probably went to school there." Ash said.
"Well I don't, Lillipup and I aren't fighters anyways." Rosa said with a huff.
"Sure because you exude love and friendship." Ash replied sarcastically. "How far is this Floccesy Town anyway?"
"Not far from here." Rosa said, it's only about half an hour walk.
"Easy enough then." Ash said. "Pikachu how about we run there to make better time?"
"Pika!" Pikachu exclaimed, as the two ran off.
"Hey wait up, you're not off the hook yet!" Rosa yelled angrily as she raced after Ash and Pikachu.
"Bwarp!" Lillipup barked from her arms angrily.
At Floccesy Town's Pokemon Center
"Ash, Pikachu, I'm so glad to see you're both okay." Delia said. "You are both okay, right?"
"We're fine Mom, a little worse for wear but we're alright." Ash assured.
"Pi Pika!" Pikachu said in agreement.
"Ash, I looked into where you are and the nearest port is in Virbank City to the east, if you head there we can pick you up on our way back to Kanto." Professor Oak said.
"About that Professor, there's a gym back where we landed, and it's a whole new region." Ash admitted.
"Say no more, I understand." Delia said. "But please check in with me, I worry about you two, and when that lightning struck you, I was heartbroken."
"The lightning." Ash paused, remembering the sudden storm that had appeared over him and Pikachu. "Right, we, we'll call more often Mom, I'm sorry we worried you." Ash apologized.
"Good, and maybe get some new clothes, those don't really look much like your style." Delia said, concerned the outfit she'd made Ash specifically for this trip was already destroyed.
"Okay Mom, we'll see what we can do." Ash said, before the two sides hung up.
"You didn't tell her about your debt?" Rosa questioned.
"I still don't think I should owe money for something that isn't my fault, but you didn't say anything to her either." Ash said.
"Doesn't mean I'm letting you off the hook." Rosa said.
"Fair enough." Ash commented. "So now what?"
"You tell me." Rosa said. "You want to take on those gyms here, fine, as long as you get my money back."
"I get it, I get it." Ash sighed, as he sat back up.
The doors of the Pokemon Center suddenly and quickly opened up
"Please someone help, the farm, their Pokemon are being attacked!" A young man said.
"Farm, where, how can I help?" Ash asked with concern.
