What if the boys weren't made from chemical X?
Brick was lying on his stomach on his bed reading a book about board games while Butch sat on his bed reading a book on weather.
suddenly Boomer slammed open the door, his nose bleeding and his hair sticking out wildly.
"that girl is f-cking crazy by herself!" Boomer yelled, fear in his eyes. it was rare for Boomer to swear but it did happen.
"what happened?" Brick asked from his bed, which was a loft bed with a messy desk underneath.
"when I saw her I tackled her to the ground but suddenly her pupils started glowing blue and she almost f-cking killed me!" Boomer explained, terror and panic clear in his voice and movement as he walked into the center of the room.
"oh m-" Butch said before Boomer continued.
"I was forced to retreat, she was insane!" Boomer scrambled his hair into a bigger mess than it already was.
Butch watched as Boomer tried to calm himself down while Brick sat in thought.
"okay, seems like Bubbles somehow becomes stronger when she's fighting alone. so me and Boomer will go after Blossom tomorrow, okay?" Brick explained.
Boomer gently nodded.
4 hours later Brick and Boomer came back disheveled and exhausted.
"what happened to you?" Butch asked them as Boomer practically fell onto his bed in the corner of the room.
"turns out Buttercup was nearby, she and Blossom beat us up like we were grapes" Brick explained, sitting down in the chair at the desk under his bed.
"yeah, Buttercup prefers physical attacks versus blasting lasers and stuff" Butch noted, he was still reading that book he was reading a few hours earlier.
"good to know" Brick replied. Boomer said nothing, seemingly having fallen asleep.
"what you wanna do is start with shooting a laser in the least defended part of her body, its usually her legs or forehead. she'll be focused on the pain in that spot long enough for you to get another shot in. then she usually does this spinny thing where she basically turns into a mini tornado, I've only actually seen her do it when fighting me so that's weird. you gotta dodge it and then either shoot a laser or punch her in the face. then-" Butch was mid explanation when Brick cut him off.
"do all of your fights go like this?" he asked.
"well, only when I attack first, Buttercup doesn't have a complete strategy with fighting besides the 'punch them until they can't fight back' thing but if you know her well enough you can see a pattern in her actions" Butch explained. at this point Brick was half asleep with his head on the desk.
he heard the faint sound of some picking a book up off their lap and flipping the page before he fully fell asleep.
