What if the boys weren't made from chemical X?
Butch carefully took off his bandages in front of the bathroom mirror.
There were a few scars on his right side from hitting the fence when he got launched back but his left rib was perfectly fine and had healed nicely.
Butch put his suit back on properly and came out of the bathroom, leaving the bandages there.
"hey Butch, feeling better?" Brick asked as he walked by.
"yeah, I feel like I could beat that darn Buttercup to a pulp!" Butch cheered, punching the air for dramatic effect.
"probably want to practice on something or someone else" Brick noted as he stopped walking.
"but not Bubbles, anything but Bubbles when shes alone! my head still hurts from how many times she bashed my head against the pavement" Boomer said, joining the conversation.
"ouch" Brick muttered.
"it was about eight to ten times, really hard" Boomer explained.
"oof, definitely not Bubbles" Butch loudly mumbled.
"yeah" Boomer replied before heading back to the bedroom.
Brick snapped his non-existent fingers as his eyes lit up.
"I got it! we take the girls off guard by attacking them while their sleeping!" Brick exclaimed.
"genius! they'll still be sleepy from waking up and their tiny little girl brains won't know what hit them! literally!" Butch replied, pure joy in his voice.
that night Butch could hear Boomers alarm go off on his chest of drawers.
"its eleven at night, shut that thing off!" Butch whined from his bed.
"first off, two in the morning and remember, we're going to attack the powerbutt girls while their asleep" Boomer said, turning off his alarm and sitting up in bed.
"yahoo!" Butch cried as he sat up, having instantly became fully awake.
half an hour later the boys were wandering the streets.
"how the hell do we not know where the 'heroes of townsville' live!?" Boomer noted as they walked down the street.
suddenly lasers hit the ground under Butch's feet.
"ah!" he shrieked in surprise.
the trio looked up to see a shadowy figure standing on a rooftop with the moon behind them, their eyes glowing a gorgeous mix of bright green and dark red.
"who's there!?" Brick cried, standing in a defensive position.
"shouldn't you little wimps be getting your beauty rest at home?" the figure said, slightly tilting their head to the side.
"wait, I'd know that voice anywhere!" Butch announced.
the shadowy figure jumped down from the roof into the front yard of the house.
"I don't think you weak little boys can deal with the scary things in the darkness" Buttercup said as she walked towards the boys, the lamps in the garden lighting her sly smile. she was wearing a black t-shirt, baggy dark green shorts, a zipped up bright green jacket and white sneakers.
"this is none of your business Buttercup!" Butch exclaimed.
"uh, I think it is my business when three idiotic criminals are walking down the street in the middle of the night" Buttercup replied, pulling out a unopened lollipop out of her pocket, opening it and putting it in her mouth.
