Earlier in the cave...
Midoriya fought through HawkMoth's invisible grip as he tried to get away with his friends. All he could think about was Uraraka and how amazing it felt to finally be back with her. Now he was already being tugged away from her. He had to get out of here so Chrysalis wouldn't do anything with One for All. She was already mutated because of it, he didn't want it to hurt her anymore.
"Lila! I know you don't really wanna do this!" Midoriya cried out as HawkMoth tried to pull him into the cave, "Chrysalis is not in charge of the Butterfly Miraculous, you are!"
"I can't believe that you're still going about that! Lila is not here!" Chrysalis said back.
Before Midoriya knew it, HawkMoth had pinned him up against the wall. He could barely react before she had already spit out a lot of silk all around him. He tried to get out his invisible grip, but he couldn't even move his arms away from his sides. She got close to him, and he tried to avoid her gaze and wings.
"I know you're in there, Lila," Midoriya said to her, "You need to stop this. My Miraculous is messing with you and the Butterfly Miraculous. That's why you're having trouble taking it off. It's mutating you."
Chrysalis stopped in her tracks, and Midoriya thought he had finally gotten through to her for a moment. She flew over to him and lifted his chin to look at her. He tried to get out of her grip when he realized that her eyes were still purple. Once he caught a glimpse of it, he already felt slightly dizzy.
"I'm Chrysalis, not Lila," Chrysalis growled at him, "Izuku, you're not going anywhere. You may have broken out of this, but I can easily get you back into it. Ochaco is not going to lay a hand on you. I'll make sure of it."
Midoriya tried to get away from her, but she let go of his chin. She flew over to the crystals, and Midoriya watched her observing them. HawkMoth let go of Midoriya noticing that he was now stuck. He followed her and also looked closer at them.
"These crystals... There's something about them that feels faintly familiar," HawkMoth said to her.
"That's because they absorbed the Butterfly Miraculous and Izuku's Miraculous's energy," Chyrsalis said to him, "Something happened that caused them to absorb all of this energy."
Chrysalis kneeled down and pulled one out of the ground. It still had that purple and green surge of energy in it. It even reacted when she touched it, causing an electric current to crawl up and down the crystal. She couldn't look away from it, and Midoriya knew that this wasn't good.
"This is... something else..." Chrysalis said to him.
Chrysalis looked up at Midoriya who was still trying to get out of there. She smiled and realized that Midoriya had a weird reaction to this stuff. It was as if the energy from the crystals had taken over his quirk.
"This crystal... It's reacting to me and Izuku..." Chrysalis explained to him, "This might actually might be what we need to start up my plan."
"But we don't even know what this is. This might be dangerous," HawkMoth said to her.
"Now you're being cautious after all this time? Come on HawkMoth. Besides, I'm in charge of this plan," Chrysalis said to him.
She flew over to Midoriya and held the crystal as if it were a toy. She could tell that the crystal was already reacting to Midoriya as she got closer to him. He tried to get away from it, but he could barely move.
"Let's see... These crystals were somehow reacting to you and me... I'd say that's a pretty interesting thing to have in my possession," Chrysalis said to him.
As she got ready to put the crystal against his chest, Midoriya could already feel something coming over him. He tried to get away from it, but One for All wasn't even responding.
"Lila! Come on! I know that you can hear me! Please stop!" Midoriya cried out.
Chrysalis got annoyed and placed it onto his chest, causing the crystal to react the same way that it did before. It surged up and down and went all around him and Chrysalis. The purple and green sparks just kept coming as it traveled all around Midoriya and her.
He couldn't get away from her, and the crystal was starting to affect his quirk. He could feel it trying to make its way over to it. Midoriya tried to keep it away from him, but it kept fighting to get to it.
"Chrysalis! You have no idea what you're doing! One for All isn't something to be messed with!" Midoriya cried out.
Then he felt pain all throughout his body as if the sparks were trying to get through to One for All. He tried to fight it off, but it was stronger than he expected. The longer she held the crystal, the harder it was to fight it off. It just got stronger, and even she felt it as well. It was starting to affect her wings and made them more weird and unique looking. Midoriya accidentally looked at her wings which didn't help him. He was feeling disoriented, and the sparks were starting to make its way into One for All.
"Marinette... Adrien... AllMight... Help..."
Before he could call out to them, the sparks were somehow blocking the connection. It took over as he felt the energy start to affect him just like it did not that long ago. Something felt off, but then he started to remember that feeling of kissing Uraraka before he got taken away. He could still feel that embrace from pulling her in closer. The way she felt against his lips.
Then the energy started to mess with him, and all he could remember was the kiss between him and Chrysalis. Something about it didn't feel right, but that magnetic pull was coming back again. He could feel Chrysalis kissing him and how good it felt to be near her. Something about it did feel really good, especially when she tried to take One for All. He didn't want to admit it, but something about it felt pretty good.
He looked at Chrysalis and thought he saw Uraraka for a moment. This energy kept trying to get at One for All, and the wings made him feel all sluggish and dizzy.
"Come on Izuku," Chrysalis whispered to him, "Just let me have One for All. It's now corrupted. You don't want that, do you?"
Midoriya's eyes widened, hearing her talk about it like that.
"B-But... it'll hurt you too..." Midoriya said to her.
"Like that'll stop me. I'll make sure that it's taken care of," Chrysalis said back.
Midoriya felt that magnetic pull as if it were trying to call to him. He couldn't let Chrysalis do this to One for All, but he didn't know what else to do. He couldn't get out of the silk. Chrysalis held the crystal as Midoriya felt it start to affect him the way it did with him before she found out about it. He could barely tell what was going on as he felt something pull him away from Chrysalis. He felt his vision get blurry, and then he leaned into Chrysalis.
Midoriya ended up kissing her.
Chrysalis tossed the crystal to the ground and kissed him back. She pushed him back, and he couldn't tell what was going on at this point. He thought that he was kissing Uraraka, but something about it felt off. He knew that it wasn't her, but he didn't care. It felt good, and he kept kissing her. She moved her hands down to his chest and around his collar. He didn't even feel her start to move his shirt as he kissed her. All he wanted was to kiss Uraraka.
Before he knew it, he felt a sharp pain in his neck. It hurt a lot, so he fought his way out of her grip. Something came over him and suddenly found himself on the ground. One for All surged all throughout him as he stumbled and landed pretty hard. He felt really disoriented and light headed, but he tried to get up. He immediately saw the exit out of the cave and tried to head towards it.
One for All must've kicked in because he suddenly found himself running out of the cave. Without thinking, he kept running away from Chrysalis. He didn't even look back to see if she followed him out of there. An image of her kept popping up in his head, but he kept going. One for All wasn't slowing down, and he could barely tell where he was going. He kept dozing off as he kept running, but he could tell that he was already out of the beach. It looked like he was in the city and headed towards U.A., but he wasn't sure.
Something was pulling him towards not exactly towards U.A., but towards someone. It was feeling like it was pulling him towards three people actually. He knew right away who they were and let One for All take care of things. Something was wrong with it, and he knew that they might help him out of this one.
"One for All... What is going on...?" Midoriya asked himself.
Before he knew it, he was heading towards the U.A. gate. He felt himself relax a little, but then he felt something come over One for All. He gripped onto his shirt, feeling a weird sensation around his chest. Something about it felt like One for All was trying to tell him something, but then Midoriya felt another weird energy pulling it away. That caused him to trip from One for All fading away and hit the ground pretty hard. He could still feel his chest getting a weird feeling, and it felt like something else was coming over him.
It felt familiar as it had that same magnetic pull as Chrysalis. He could feel this weird feeling starting to make him really dizzy and black out. He tried to get up, but it was really wearing him down. His arms were shaking as he got up and kept himself up from collapsing again. He tried to use One for All, but it was barely there to reach. He tried to run, but this weird feeling was making him really dizzy.
Midoriya stepped through the U.A. gate, hoping that someone could help him. Once he took a step inside, he felt this weird feeling start to surge through his head. He fell to the ground, trying to understand what was going on. He could feel One for All being pulled away from him, and something else trying to make its way towards him. Before he could get up, he could feel it start to relax him. He couldn't get up, and he could swear that Chrysalis was close by making him feel this way. An image of her wings and eyes came up as he felt his vision get blurry.
"Ladybug... Cat Noir... AllMight... Please help..."
Earlier outside by Class 1-A's dormitory...
LadyNoir was fighting off Ashido as Jirou and Mister Bug kept Kaminari away from Class 1-A. She couldn't find anything on her that could possibly have an akuma hidden in it. She wasn't exactly cooperating either as acid drool almost hit her arm. Something had to be on her or around her to have an akuma, LadyNoir just couldn't find it.
"Anything milady?" Mister Bug asked her as he held his yo-yo at the ready.
"No. Nothing," LadyNoir said back, "I can't find anything on her. It's gotta be something in the dormitory."
"Are you sure? I am pretty sure I saw something land on her horn when she got akumatized," Sero said to them.
LadyNoir's eyes widened as she spotted one of her horns poking out of her head. She really didn't want to hurt her since the horn was clearly connected to her. Mister Bug had the same look on his face as he looked down at his hand. LadyNoir looked at him, and they both knew what they had to do. They both knew that his powers could repair things back to normal, so LadyNoir called for Cataclysm.
Iida spotted this and stepped up as Class Rep. Even though them switching Miraculous threw him off, he knew exactly which one had which power. He had a determined look on his face like he wasn't letting anyone hurt her.
"LadyNoir! There's no way I'm letting you get anywhere near her with that power of yours!" Iida cried out with his arms out.
"Tenya, now's not the time for this," LadyNoir said as Ashido tried to fight back.
LadyNoir tried to use her power on Ashido, but she wasn't letting her use it. LadyNoir knew how he felt, but she had to do something in order to get that akuma. Before they could say anything however, LadyNoir fell to her knees causing everyone to look her way. She felt a sudden surge of energy flowing through her that caused to her collapse. Ashido got the chance and bit down onto her shoulder causing LadyNoir to cry out.
"LadyNoir!" Mister Bug cried out as he ran after her.
She fought through this sudden pain and quickly touched Ashido's horn and it fell off of her head. An akuma left her crumbled up horn, but Mister Bug and quickly caught it before it could fly away. He let it go, and a white butterfly took its place. Mister Bug then quickly turned to his partner, looking worried for her as Ashido detransformed.
Jirou had the best chance to grab Kaminari's akumatized object, and she took it. She held her damaged earphone jack and hesitated to rip it. Kaminari noticed it and tried to take it from her. Yaoyorozu shielded her by creating a shield. Luckily it wasn't made of metal and had a rubber handle.
Jirou looked up at Kaminari, and she took tell that he was hurting from what happened to her. She had no idea that he felt this way about her. She held her damaged earphone jack and almost felt tears forming as she looked down at it.
"I'm sorry..."
Jirou ripped it in half and an akuma flew out of it.
"LadyNoir, what's--"
Suddenly, Mister Bug got a surge of energy that felt familiar. It caused him to collapse, and everyone didn't know what was going on.
Jirou then looked at Mister Bug and noticed that he was down along with LadyNoir. They both looked like something was wrong. Jirou looked back at the akuma and didn't know how to stop it from getting away.
"Someone stop that akuma from getting away!" Jirou cried out.
"On it!" Sero cried back as he tried to shoot his tape at it.
Yaoyorozu stopped him from grabbing it, realizing that he would get akumatized as well. They looked around for something or someone that could grab it without it getting to them. Mister Bug fought through the pain and threw his yo-yo up to summon his Lucky Charm. An extended butterfly net appeared right before him. He knew he could just use his yo-yo to grab it, but looking at Ashido he that this would help heal her horn. He swung his yo-yo out to grab it and caught it successfully. He opened it up to reveal a white butterfly.
Mister Bug threw the net up in the air with a shaky grip.
"Miraculous Mister Bug!"
Suddenly a swarm of ladybugs flew all around their teammates and classmates. They healed Ashido and repaired Jirou's earphone jack, but not her actual damaged quirk. They even repaired any damage that Kaminari and Ashido had caused, especially LadyNoir's acid bite.
LadyNoir in that moment really wished that she had the Ladybug Miraculous. She wanted to give them magical charms, but she couldn't do that without the Miraculous. She was just glad that her friends were okay.
A purple cloud formed around Kaminari, detransforming him back to normal. Jirou ran and sat with him to check on him. She could tell that he was still thinking about what happened to her. He didn't even seem to care that he got akumatized as he stared at her damaged earphone jack in her hands.
"Jirou... I-I'm sorry," Kaminari said through a shaky voice, "I-I just... I don't like seeing you hurt... And now... You lost something that means a lot to you... I just... really wanted to help you out..."
Jirou's eyes widened when she realized that he was crying. She placed her hand on top of his without thinking about it, which caught his attention.
"Kaminari... I didn't know that you felt this way..." Jirou said as she felt her cheeks heat up, "I hadn't even noticed that you had taken my earphone jack."
Jirou gripped her earphone jack, feeling something come over her. Before she even knew it, she had thrown herself into his arms. She hugged him tightly as tears formed under her eyes. She could feel him wrap his arms around her, and she smiled at him.
"Thank you for looking after me," Jirou whispered to him, "You don't have to worry about me or my quirk. If it makes you feel better, I'll look for a way to upgrade my hero costume. We'll figure this out together."
Kaminari's eyes widened as she let go of him. They looked at each other for a moment as something came up between them. Before they could get closer, they heard the Class 1-A dormitory door open up to reveal AllMight. He looked about ready to collapse just like LadyNoir and Mister Bug. Midoriya's mom ran over to him trying to get him to go back inside.
They all looked up and knew right away what was going on.
"It's Young Midoriya. Something's wrong with him and One for All."
Another amazing chapter!
This was a good one to write and read! The stuff with Midoriya is going to get more interesting and a little different for a little while! Something about the crystals is bothering him, and it will come up soon! He escaped from the cave, we'll see what happens!
I like it a lot, but this was definitely more of a way to stir things up a bit! LadyNoir and Mister Bug are definitely worth having around in this part of the book! I love LadyNoir and Mister Bug, they're definitely some of my favorite hero costume designs! Ashido and Kaminari were interesting, especially Kaminari with Jirou! Ooh! I think they like each other!
