Legacies and Lightning: Chapter 7
East Konoha Neighborhood (One month after the 'Ido' incident): With Naruto, Anko, Kurenai and Yakumo
"D-rank missions freakin suck" Naruto said as he was on the rood of a house re-shingling the roof; Naruto used his hammer to drive some nails in while Anko across from him poured some more pitch on the roof.
"See, I told you" Anko said as she poured more of the black substance on the roof; Anko was not wearing her trench coat or her fishnets as she was only wearing a bra and her skirt. Naruto was wearing only his pants and not wearing a shirt as the sun beat down on them as they both continued working.
Over the past month Naruto and his team have been doing a bunch of D-rank missions, at least two a week; along with that Naruto and Yakumo have been training harder. Naruto's lightning jutsu has been getting better and Yakumo has started working on genjutsu; the only things that have changed is that Naruto's lightning is now red and Yakumo no longer has her 'Ido'.
"Roofing in July; this is a ninja mission?" Naruto said before wiping his forehead "I became a ninja to fight bad guys, earn respect and make a living; not be a day laborer". "And I can't believe some A-hole stole my orange jumpsuit Guy Sensei gave me" Naruto said "that would be perfect for this weather".
Kurenai and Yakumo just got back onto the roof carrying water and sunblock; Kurenai was wearing some old jeans, a white T-shirt and sweat band while Yakumo wore gym shorts and one of Naruto's messed up shirts.
"I mean, who would steal my jumpsuit; isn't that crazy Kurenai sensei?" Naruto asked and Kurenai nodded with a smile.
"Oh, yes; it's a real tragedy" Kurenai said with a nervous smile.
Flashback: 2 weeks ago; At the training ground: With Kurenai, Anko and Yakumo
It was the dead of night and Kurenai, Anko and Yakumo were all standing around a bon fire; Kurenai had Naruto's orange jumpsuit that he got from Guy in her hands. Over the past two weeks Naruto has been wearing it non stop and strutting around like a rooster in the hen house.
Kurenai threw the orange monstrosity into the fire and all three women watched on as it burned "we are finally done with it" Kurenai said.
"Thank Kami, it was so ugly" Anko said as she looked at the burning jumpsuit.
"Did we do the right thing?" Yakumo asked and Kurenai put her hand on her shoulder.
"Sometimes doing the right thing means hurting someone you love" Kurenai said and Yakumo nodded.
(Flashback end)
Later that day; Hokage's office: With Naruto, Kurenai, Anko, Yakumo and Hiruzen
"Good job you four; that is your eight D-rank mission this month" Hiruzen said to the group in front of him; Naruto and the others were all dirty and had slight sunburns "I will like to say I'm so glad that you all-".
"Just give us the money so we can leave" Anko whined as she took the mission scroll to the desk "that sucked so damn hard; I hate manual labor"; Hiruzen sweat dropped at a grown woman (a former anbu and jonin hopeful) whining about roofing.
"Ok fine" Hiruzen said cutting his speech short 'damn kids these days don't want to work for their meals; back in my day I had to plow rice fields with a fork'. 'Tobirama sensei knew what he was doing when he was training me and Danzo' Hiruzen thought as he grabbed the scroll and stamped it "alright take it to the payment office".
"Finally" Kurenai said with a sigh "I need a bath".
"Hey lets go to the bath house after this?" Yakumo chimed in with a smile "nothing beats a hot bath".
"I've never been to a bath house before" Naruto said "first time for everything".
"Ok lets grab out money and head out" Anko said as she grabbed the scroll and walked out with everyone else.
1 hour later: At the bath house
Naruto and the others walked in and went to the desk where an old woman stood "welcome to my bath house; how many are with you?" she asked.
"Two women, one girl and one boy" Kurenai said and the old woman nodded.
"So I just enter the boys area and start washing up?" Naruto asked and Anko nodded.
"Yeah pretty much; just don't do anything stupid in there" Anko said "after all we don't need to hear about a blonde boy setting fire on water or electrocuting a fellow bather". Naruto got a tic mark at this and the old woman spoke up.
"Oh sorry dearie; how old are you?" the old woman asked Naruto.
"I'm nine; I turn ten in three months" Naruto asked confused.
"Oh dear; no child under ten can bathe alone" the old woman said.
Yakumo's eyes went wide at this and she spoke "does that mean-"?
Five minutes later
"Bubbles" Naruto cheered as he sat on a stool naked with suds in his hair while Kurenai also sitting on a stool and also naked washed his hair.
Naruto entered the women's bath with Kurenai, Anko and Yakumo and to their surprise they were not alone as there were about twenty women in there and Naruto was the only boy; they thought there would be more protest but surprisingly not.
"Aww he's so cute" a woman around 25 said pointing to Naruto.
"He's like a little ball of sunshine" a woman around 40 said.
"I can tell he's going to be a cutie in a few years" a teenage girls said to her group of friends.
Naruto giggled as Kurenai washed his hair and she smiled 'he is kind of cute though' Kurenai thought.
Anko was next to Kurenai and Naruto with Yakumo who was trying to not to look at Naruto and trying to cover herself up 'why did this happen?' Yakumo thought with a heavy blush 'what if Naruto see's me naked?'
Anko seeing how embarrassed Yakumo was chuckled and spoke "hey Yakumo; what ever you do, don't look below Naruto's belly button" she said.
Upon hearing this Yakumo tried not to look but the curiosity got to her and she turned and looked down; Yakumo looked away fast and covered her eyes 'oh my god I just say his wee-wee' she thought.
"Haha; Yakumo saw Naruto's pe-" Anko began but Kurenai bonked her on the head.
"Don't tease her" Kurenai scolded as she rinsed Naruto's hair and turned around and sat on her stool "ok Naruto; can you wash my back?"
"Ok" Naruto cheered as he turned around and grabbed a sponge, began to wash Kurenai's back and sing "scrub, scrub, scub…scrub, scrub, scrub… scrubbing everywhere".
'Well at least he's having fun and not being a perv… what the hell am I talking about he's nine' Anko thought before looking at Naruto "so Naruto are you going to go and train with Kakashi again tomorrow?"
"Yeah I am" Naruto said as Kurenai raised her right arm and he started scrubbing on her side "he's ok, he's shows me some cool jutsu and stuff but it's not as much fun as when I train with you guys; I've only trained with him for about three weekends".
"What have you learned so far?" Kurenai asked.
"How to use my lighting jutsu to fry a leaf, how to use lightning from my finger to start a fire and how to use my Static Strings more effectively" Naruto said "as of right now I can use a shuriken with each of my fingers but I still need both for my Fuma Shuriken". "Anko was with me during those times" Naruto said.
"Well at least he's not slacking off" Kurenai said "ok Naruto, tomorrow I will go with you to train with Kakashi and Anko will take Yakumo".
"Heck yeah; I get to hang out with Kurenai sensei" Naruto cheered as he lunged forward giving Kurenai a hug from behind; Kurenai smiled at this while the other women in the bath house thought it was adorable.
"Alright I get to hang out with princess tomorrow" Anko said ruffling Yakumo's wet hair "tomorrow we are going cloths shopping; you have to get out of that Kimono, to frilly and pink for ninja missions".
"I-it is?" Yakumo said "well if you think so".
"Anko…" Kurenai said gaining her friends attention "no funny business, she better not come back to me in some skimpy outfit".
Anko scoffed "I won't, I promise" she said rolling her eyes; unseen by Kurenai, Anko smirked 'that's not for another few years'.
"Ok great, and afterwards we can get ramen" Naruto said "and also… just FYI… I'm going to open my moms scroll tomorrow too"; Anko, Yakumo and Kurenai all looked at him wide eyed. Naruto told them about his mothers scroll but he never opened it because he wasn't ready.
"Really Naruto; are you sure?" Kurenai asked.
"That's a big leap kid" Anko said.
"I know, I know; but I think it's time" Naruto said "and I want you all there with me"; Anko, Kurenai and Yakumo smiled at this and Yakumo spoke.
"We'd love to be there with you Naruto" Yakumo said and Naruto looked at her and smiled.
"Thanks Yakumo" Naruto said before looking at her "hey, I didn't know you had a birth mark on your chest" Naruto said pointing at the 'C' shaped birthmark on Yakumo's chest. Yakumo realized that Naruto saw her and covered herself making her blush, Anko laugh and Kurenai chuckle.
'He saw me' Yakumo thought with anime tears running down her face 'now I can never get married'.
The next day at the training ground: With Naruto, Kurenai and Kakashi
Naruto and Kurenai were both standing in front of Kakashi who had an eye smile "hello Naruto, welcome back; how have you been?" Kakashi asked.
"Hating my life with these lame D-rank missions" Naruto said and Kakashi nodded and chuckled.
"Oh yes, I remember those" Kakashi said as he remembered doing solo D-ranks 'not my fault I graduated the academy at five'. "Anyway Naruto, I'm here to teach you something that will help you out; how to coat yourself in lightning" Kakashi said as Naruto went wide eyed.
"Cool; what will that do?" Naruto asked and Kakashi spoke up.
"It will increase your speed and your strength but only while it's activated" Kakashi said as he took a few steps back "observe; this is going to be at five percent power". Kakashi focused his chakra and he suddenly began to glow; suddenly lightning began to spark off him as he was now covered in lightning scorching the ground under his feet.
Naruto looked on in awe at this and spoke "and that's five percent of your power?" Naruto asked.
Kakashi nodded and spoke "five percent for me, but more like seventy five percent for you" he said as he deactivated it and continued talking "this is actually a technique I picked up from Kumo ninja; only those with good control over lightning chakra can do it". "In fact the Raikage of Kumo has so much power of this technique that if i go one hundred percent it will equal about twenty percent of his power" Kakashi said as he remembered seeing A in battle during the last ninja war.
"Woah; seriously?" Naruto asked and Kakashi nodded. Naruto looked to his right glove 'Yuui's dad is that powerful?' Naruto thought 'And Yuui said she want's to be Raikage; does that mean she's trying to learn it too?'
"And think of it this way Naruto" Kakashi said gaining his attention "when you master you are able to do this-"; Kakashi began to go through hand signs before holding his right hand to the ground. 'Raikiri' Kakashi's hand began to chirp as lightning began to crackle in his hand and he looked to a training post "nothing will be out of your reach" he said. Kakashi dashed forward towards the training post thrusting his forward "Lightning blade" he shouted as he pierced the training post.
Naruto was stunned by the power of the lightning jutsu as Kakashi pulled his hand out and began to walk over; Naruto shook his head and spoke "ok lets give it a try" he said.
"Atta boy Naruto" Kakashi said "now, get into a comfortable stance and make 'Ram' hand sign"; Naruto nodded and Naruto got into a stance and made the ram sign. "Kurenai, you may want to scoot back" Kakashi said and Kurenai nodded as she took a few steps back.
"Alright, what now?" Naruto asked and Kakashi spoke.
"Focus your chakra in your core and hold it there" Kakashi said and Naruto nodded.
"Ok" Naruto said as he began to focus his chakra; Naruto felt the the chakra building up in his stomach and spoke "ok now what?"
"Spread it through your body at a even pace" Kakashi said "start with your abdomen and then go to your limbs one by one". Naruto nodded and began to manipulate his chakra and he felt the chakra begin to spread through his body.
Several sparks of red lightning began to spark off of him as Kakashi and Kurenai looked on as Naruto manipulated his chakra; Naruto moved his lightning onto his right arm which began to crackle with lightning especially his glove.
'Ok he's making good progress' Kurenai thought 'now he just need to-'; Kurenai stopped mid thought as Naruto's lightning began to spark out of control. "Oh no" Kurenai said and Kakashi nodded.
"Yeah; get back" Kakashi said as he grabbed Kurenai and jumped back just in time for Naruto's lightning to shoot out in all directions.
Naruto was shocked by his own lightning for a few seconds until it died down; Naruto stood where he was covered in soot, with his hair standing up straight and slightly smoking.
Naruto coughed before looking over to Kakashi and Kurenai "do you guys smell burnt memories" he said with a smile and both jonin sweat dropped at this.
'Oh boy this is going to take a while' Kakashi thought as he walked back over "you were doing good for a while; I'm guessing that glove of yours is a good conductor". Naruto nodded at this and continued "but when you tried to move your lightning to the rest of your body you had problems" he said "so I say for right now put a pin in that".
"Oh come on" Naruto whined and Kakashi waved his hand.
"Relax Naruto; what you need right now is better chakra control" Kakashi said "and I know how to do it". Kakashi walked over a tree a few yards away and began to walk up the side of it making Naruto go wide eyed "how about we see if tree walking can make a difference" he said with an eye smile.
"I'd rather not do that right now" Kurenai said speaking up "it will be unfair to Yakumo if Naruto learns that without her; we are teaching them both at the same time".
"Oh man; you're right, I can't do that to her" Naruto said rubbing his head "ok, how about I keep on trying and see how far I can go with just my right arm; then when I learn that 'tree walking' stuff I can go further".
Kakashi sighed at this 'I get that he wants to be part of his team; but Naruto needs to learn how to progress outside it' he thought 'but I'm not his sensei; that's not my call'. "Ok, ok" Kakashi said as he walked back down "lets give it another go; we still have another six hours, lets see how far we can get".
Seven hours later; Ichiraku ramen: With Naruto, Kurenai, Anko and Yakumo
Naruto was sitting at his favorite ramen restaurant covered in bruises and burns as Anko and Yakumo looked on surprised at how hurt he was after one day of training.
"Shit Naruto; you look like hell" Anko said and Naruto nodded.
"I feel like it" Naruto said "six hours of training and all I can do is cover my right arm"; Naruto let out a pained groaned as he stretched. "But hey looks like Yakumo had a good day" Naruto said as he looked at Yakumo in her new outfit.
Yakumo no longer wore her kimono as she replaced it with more practical clothes; Yakumo wore a dark pink shirt, brown shorts, and blue sandals. Yakumo had a kunai pouch at the small of her back and a shuriken holster on her right leg "thanks for noticing Naruto" Yakumo said "i chose to keep the pink… I don't want to give up my pink".
"I feel the same way about my orange" Naruto said looking at his T-shirt; a few seconds later Ayame came up with everyone's ramen.
"Ok Miso for Naruto, Chicken for Anko, Vegetable for Yakumo and Tonkotsu for Kurenai" Ayame said and Naruto smiled.
"Thanks Ayame; you and old man Teuchi are the best" Naruto said looking at her and Teuchi who was boiling more broth.
"No problem my boy; anything for my favorite customer" Teuchi said as he threw in some more pork bones into the pot.
Naruto and his team all began to dig into their food and after about thirty minutes they all finished their bowl and Anko spoke up "so Naruto; are you going to whip out that scroll and read it to us?" Anko asked.
Naruto finished eating and pushed his bowl away "alright then; lets do this" Naruto said as he pulled out his mothers scroll; Naruto took a deep breath and nodded "here I go".
Naruto opened the scroll and began to read
"Dear Naruto; wow this is so strange, I'm writing to you even though you haven't been born yet. Anyway, I'm your mom Kushina Uzumaki and I'm writing this letter as part of a time capsule type thing your father wants to do. I'm currently six months pregnant with you and I'm writing this so you'd know a little about me right now. I moved to Konoha from Uzushiogakure when I was a child, I'm technically the last know full blooded Uzumaki since our clan was wiped out; I'm a jonin a kenjutsu specialist and a seal master. Although I'm not as good as your father, even though I taught him hahaha. I just know that when you're born and I hold you for the first time I will give you all the love of my heart from the moment you're born until the day I die. Me, your father, his sensei, your god father Jiraya, and even your fathers last student 'big brother' Kakashi will all be waiting in anticipation for you to arrive in a few months. Just remember I love you with all my heart.

Upon finishing reading the scroll all the girls except Anko were crying at the heart felt message from Naruto's mother; Naruto began to shake as he held the scroll and Kurenai reached out and grabbed his shoulder.
"Oh Naruto, it's ok if you cry" Kurenai said wiping away tears of her own "we won't-"; Kurenai stopped along with everyone else when they saw the look on Naruto's face.
Naruto had a look of unbridled rage on his face and Kurenai let go of his shoulder "God Father Jiraya?" Naruto asked rhetorically "Big brother Kakashi?"
"Naruto?" Anko asked but Naruto didn't hear her.
"The guy I met just last month; he was my dads student" Naruto growled out as several sparks began to come off him, one of the sparks hit Yakumo making her yelp as Naruto got up and began to walk away.
"Naruto, hold it; where are you going?" Yakumo shouted but Naruto ignored her and took off down the street towards the Hokage tower.
Hokage's office: With Hiruzen
Hiruzen was patiently waiting in his office waiting for Naruto to burst through the door and begin shouting; Anko and Yakumo stopped by the Hokage's office earlier to give him a report about Yakumo's Ido.
Yakumo told him that they were going to meet up with Naruto later to hear him read Kushina's letter to him; Hiruzen decided to watch the whole thing through his crystal ball and upon hearing and seeing Naruto read the part about Jiraya and Kakashi he knew Naruto was heading his way.
'Damn it Kushina; why did you have to mention that' Hiruzen thought in frustration; a few seconds later he head a flurry of knocks on his door and he sighed "come in Naruto".
Naruto walked in and spoke "wait, how did you know it was me?" Naruto asked before shaking his head "you know what, I don't care". Naruto walked up to Hiruzen's desk with his mothers scroll in his hand "Who is Jiraya and why did Kakashi wait nine years to come to me?" Naruto asked and Hiruzen sighed.
"Do you want the long answer or the short one?" Hiruzen asked and Naruto crossed his arms.
"I'll go with the short answer" Naruto said and Hiruzen nodded.
"Jiraya left on a year long mission to tend to his spy network" Hiruzen said "I repeatedly called him back to come for you but he says he's 'too busy'; in all actuality he's ashamed of abandoning you and still feels the pain of losing his student, your father who he thinks he could've saved". "As for Kakashi… there is a multitude of reasons" Hiruzen said "he's been obsessed with his anbu duties, heart broken of the loss of his sensei… also your father… and feeling guilty that he couldn't save him". "Another reason might be because the last person he cared about betrayed the village and abandoned him" Hiruzen said as he remembered how close Kakashi and Itachi were when they were in the anbu.
"So my god father abandoned me because he feels bad and Kakashi neglected me for nearly ten years because he's been in the anbu?" Naruto asked and Hiruzen nodded "well ain't that just perfect; I had two people who could've taken care of me and they didn't".
"Kakashi tried Naruto" Hiruzen said "i gave him plenty of chances to leave the anbu and be with you; but he swore himself to the village first, he has helped you out on occasions but never made direct contact with you". "Jiraya on the other hand…" Hiruzen paused as he remembered him "he's just a lost cause… much like my other two students".
Naruto began to growl as he clenched his fists "you know what Ji-Ji" Naruto said before looking at him "if this Jiraya guy ever comes back; tell him I never want to see him".
"And Kakashi?" Hiruzen asked and Naruto spun around on his heels and began to walk out.
"I'll handle him" Naruto said with finality "god just when I thought he was a good guy"; Naruto reached the door and grabbed the handle. "Thanks Ji-Ji; you helped me a lot" Naruto said before closing the door and walking away.
Hiruzen sighed and leaned back in his chair 'well at least he's not mad at me this time' Hiruzen thought as he looked to his side and saw a picture of his old genin team. Hiruzen looked at the blonde haired girl Tsunade, the pale black haired boy Orochimaru and the white haired boy Jiraya; Hiruzen reached over and grabbed the picture and looked at it '*sigh* Jiraya… I hope you and Naruto never cross paths; I'd hate to see that train wreck happen' he thought.
The next day; At the training ground: With Kakashi
Kakashi was in the training ground waiting for Naruto and Kurenai to arrive so they can begin another day of training; Kakashi didn't have to wait long as he saw Naruto, Kurenai, Anko and Yakumo walking towards him.
'Ah, the whole team coming along' Kakashi thought before putting on his eye smile as Naruto walked up "hello Naruto, how are you today; are you ready to train?"
"You were my dad's student and you didn't even bother contacting me until a month ago?" Naruto said ignoring his question and making Kakashi go wide eyed.
"What!?" Kakashi said and Naruto took out his mothers scroll and threw it at Kakashi who opened it and read it; Kakashi read the entire thing in the span of a few seconds and looked at Naruto "I can explain".
"You knew I was the kid of your sensei and you didn't even meet me until a month ago" Naruto said pointing at him "what the heck have you been doing?"
"Naruto, please you have to understand; my anbu duties took up a lot of time" Kakashi said trying to explain himself "and I had full trust in Lord Hokage to help you as your grew up".
"So why did you finally come out and decide to help me now; why after nearly ten years?" Naruto asked and Kakashi spoke.
"Because when I heard that Anko took you as an apprentice I didn't want to miss my chance in being your sensei" Kakashi said and Anko's jaw dropped.
"The only reason you wanted to help him is because you wanted to be his sensei !?" Anko shouted and Kakashi looked at her and shook his head.
"N-no of course not" Kakashi said panicking "I just wanted to do connect with Naruto and to make up for lost time; and how else could I do that if I didn't teach him things to help out his lightning jutsu?"
"So you only wanted to train me was because Anko sensei took me first and you want to bribe me with jutsu?" Naruto said his temper flaring; Kakashi raised up both of his hands and spoke.
"I know that may seem bad and I know you might think that's cheap" Kakashi said trying to reason with Naruto "but I just wanted to be there for you when you finally became a ninja".
"I NEEDED YOU WHEN I WAS GROWING UP!" Naruto shouted making him jump "where were you when I was living in the orphanage and not being cared for, where were you when I lived in a cold and dingy apartment !?"
Naruto stepped forward and spoke "where were you when I was attacked by some drunken villagers and beaten up on my birthdays?" he asked and Kurenai, Anko and Yakumo went wide eyed.
"They did what!?" Kurenai shouted and Naruto looked at her.
"Oh yeah, a group of villagers used to beat me up on my birthdays every year since I was six just for fun; they usually did it until the anbu or some ninja chased them away" Naruto said shocking the women "it only stopped last year when a group tried to come after me and I soaked the ground with water and shocked them". "I also went into a bar and beat up everyone inside after they trashed my apartment" Naruto said shocking them even more; Naruto turned back to Kakashi and spoke "so where were you huh?"
Kakashi was speechless at hearing this; he knew the villagers attacked him multiple times but usually the Anbu watching him took care of him and prevented any serious harm.
Kakashi looked to Naruto and spoke "Naruto look… I can't change the past" Kakashi said "but I can be here for you now, ok".
Naruto looked at Kakashi breathing heavily and spoke "you came too late" Naruto said making Kakashi go wide eyed "don't come near me again; I don't ever want to see you again". Naruto spun around and began to run back towards the village and Yakumo looked at him.
"Naruto wait" Yakumo shouted as she ran after him leaving Kakashi alone with Kurenai and Anko; Kakashi looked at Kurenai and spoke.
"Kurenai please talk to Naruto; I don't-" Kakashi began until Kurenai spoke.
"Your sensei and Kushina would be so disappointed in you right now" Kurenai said before turning around and chasing after Naruto and Yakumo.
Kakashi felt that and looked over to Anko and spoke "Anko I-" Kakashi began until Anko rushed forward and punched Kakashi in the gut making him double over and cough while he was on the ground.
"Stay the fuck away from my student Kakashi" Anko said in a warning tone with an angry look on her face "or I promise next time we talk; it won't be so pleasant".
Anko began to walk away as Kakashi got to his feet after catching his breath 'shit' Kakashi thought as he looked in the direction Naruto and the others left 'great job Kakashi; you just screwed up… again'.
Village streets: With Naruto
Naruto was walking down the street angrily mumbling under his breath as he walked through the large crowd of people 'stupid Kakashi, what am I, a charity case for him?' Naruto thought as he passed some more people. 'Screw him, I already went nine years without him; I can go the rest of my life' Naruto thought; Naruto bumped into someone and didn't pay much attention to it until the person spoke up.
"Hey watch out" the man shouted at Naruto; Naruto turned around and looked at him and the man recognized him "wait a minute; you're that damn brat aren't you". Naruto just looked at the man and spoke.
"Piss off" Naruto said as he began to walk away again.
"Hey don't ignore me you little shit" the man roared as people began to stop and look; most of the villagers smiled as they thought Naruto was about to be beaten up while some felt worry about a man yelling at a child. The man ran over and grabbed Naruto by the shoulder and spun him around and raised his hand ready to hit him "someone need to show you some respect" he shouted as he sent a punch towards Naruto.
Before the punch could connect Naruto grabbed his fist with his right hand stopping it the man and the rest of the villagers; Naruto looked at the man with red slitted eyes and he snarled in anger. Naruto quickly focused his lightning chakra and his arm was completely covered in red lightning while he held the mans hand.
The man began to be shocked by the lightning as his muscles stiffened and he began to scream in pain; the villagers who were smiling as Naruto was about to be hit began to shake in fear as Naruto began shocking the man.
This was the scene that Yakumo, Kurenai and Anko walked up on and Yakumo spoke up.
"Naruto stop you'll kill him" Yakumo shouted and Naruto looked at her; Naruto hesitated for a few seconds until he cut off his lightning. The man fell to his knees now at even height with Naruto coughing and smoking as the electrocution stopped.
Without saying a word Naruto spun around and kicked the man sending him flying off to the side; the man was sent sailing through a nearby store window, smashing through the glass and laying on the floor.
Naruto looked around at the crowd now murmuring at him as the 'demon brat' just assaulted a man.
"What the hell are you looking at huh?" Naruto shouted at the crowd making them back up a little "bunch of cowards; picking on a little kid". Naruto began to walk away again and both Yakumo and Kurenai followed him as he walked off.
The man Naruto shocked was just getting back to his feet when Anko appeared behind him and grabbed him by the collar of his shirt "you just fucked up buddy" Anko said with a cold look "lets see what Ibiki want's to do with you".
"Wait no it's not my fault" the man said pleading "it was that demon brat; he bumped into me and-"; Anko elbowed the man on the back of the head knocking him out.
"Shut the hell up" Anko said as she began to drag the man away.
At Naruto's apartment
Naruto swung his door open now even bothering to close it as Yakumo and Kurenai both walked in behind Naruto.
"Naruto; I know you're upset right now" Kurenai said as Naruto saw down on his couch.
"Upset? Upset?" Naruto said as he looked at Kurenai "I get upset all the time Kurenai sensei". "I get upset when I came back home and my apartment was trashed by some drunk villagers" Naruto said "I used to get upset when I got jumped by some villagers on my way back home; I used to get upset, when my ramen wasn't fully cooked when I took it out of the microwave". "If finding out my fathers apprentice and his sensei abandoned you for the majority of your life makes me upset" Naruto said looking at her "then I guess I never knew the meaning of the word".
Kurenai with sad eyes walked over to the couch and saw down next to Naruto; Kurenai tapped her thigh and spoke "lay down Naruto" she said; Naruto laid down putting his head on her lap with the back of his head facing her. "Now I know that you might not like Kakashi right now" Kurenai said while rubbing his back.
"I hate him" Naruto said and Kurenai nodded.
"And you have every right too" Kurenai said "but you cannot let this anger overtake you; you said what you said, now it's time to let it go".
"I'm not forgiving him" Naruto said and Kurenai spoke.
"I'm not saying forgive him for what he's done; I'm saying put it out of your mind and focus on what you can do" Kurenai said and Naruto groaned.
"Yeah Naruto; what about all your goals?" Yakumo said as she walked over and sat near Naruto's feet "you want to be Hokage and get stronger right; well you can't do that by being upset about the past, can you?"
Naruto grumbled a little "no, I can't" Naruto said; as soon as he said that Anko walked in through the front door and spoke.
"Sorry I'm late; I had to drop off that dick head Naruto shocked at the Anbu HQ" Anko said "Ibiki is going to have a field day with him". Anko looked at Naruto and spoke "Don't worry Naruto; I told Kakashi to fuck off and don't come back" Anko said walking over "we don't need him; we've been doing good these past two months and he's only been around three times".
Naruto nodded and stood up "you guys are right" Naruto said as he looked around the room "I don't need Kakashi or this 'Jiraya' guy". "I have you three, Ji-Ji and Guy sensei to help me out" Naruto said "I'm going to become stronger, I'm going to become a better ninja; and when the time is right I'll show this village that they screwed up by treating me like crap!"
"And we'll be right there next to you Naruto" Yakumo said as she walked over and gave him a hug.
"Damn straight" Kurenai said patting his shoulder.
"I know you will Naruto" Kurenai said with a bright smile.
"Just you watch; I'm going to become the best ninja ever" Naruto said "and I'll keep my promise to Yuui and her mom; I'll show them that how far I've come and make them proud too". Naruto had a smile on his face as his sensei's and Yakumo looked at him as he perked up.
Meanwhile in Kumo: With Yuui
Yuui was sitting on the edge of a building drawing in her sketch book as she usually does when she's bored; Yuui reached into her pencil box for an orange pencil and began to use it on the paper.
'Just a little more orange and…done' Yuui thought as she looked at the picture; Yuui drew a picture of her and Naruto standing and smiling together while fist bumping. Naruto has his foxy smile, his spiky golden hair and his orange shirt while she wore her same cloths; Yuui got a little sad as she remembered her friend who she hasn't seen in a long time.
Yuui looked down to her wrist and saw the friendship bracelet Naruto gave her and brushed her finger along the name 'I miss Naruto' she thought sadly.
"Hey Yuui" came a voice and she turned around and saw a dark skinned girl with short black hair, amber eyes and a petite build "what you doing?"
"Nothing Mayui; just drawing" Yuui said and Mayui walked over and looked.
"Oh you drew that Naruto boy again huh" Mayui said "you must really miss him".
"Of course I do; he my best friend" Yuui said and Mayui looked insulted.
"HEY!" Mayui shouted in mock hurt.
"My best 'guy' friend" Yuui said rolling her eyes and Mayui nodded while chuckling "I just hope he's ok; he had such a bad life before he met me and mom".
"I'm sure he's fine" Mayui said "besides I'm sure you'll see each other again"; Mayui bent for and tapped her friendship bracelet. "After all he gave you that" she said.
"Yeah you're right" Yuui said as she closed her sketch book and looked at Mayui "so what's up; why did you come out here?"
"You're pops and Doki sent me; we found a third teammate to take the chunin exams this year" Mayui said; Yuui hopped up and went wide eyed.
"Really; you serious?" Yuui said as he began to pack up her stuff "oh man I can't wait to meet them; what's he or she like?".
Mayui began to chuckle and spoke "oh man you won't believe it" she said "lets go". Yuui nodded and once her stuff was packed up both girls began to rush towards the Raikage building.
'Just you wait Naruto; when we meet again I'll be bigger, stronger and I'll totally kick your butt in our next spar' Yuui thought as she and her friend ran through Kumo.
Ok another chapter done; I hope you all enjoyed it. So yeah in this story Naruto is going to have a rocky relationship with Kakashi and Jiraya due to them not being around; I mean come on Jiraya left Naruto alone for like 13 years in canon. Next chapter is going to be a time skip to the regular timeline to get the story rolling; I've done 7 chapters of back story and that should be enough.
