Chapter 76 Bakerix
I don't own Kamen Rider Ryuki or Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir.
Jin was at his room and he was working on a present being a small statue of Tom with a bakers hat.
"Well that's very nice of you."Shinku said.
"Well I wanted to make something nice for dad, he's the one that took me in and gave me a family after I lost mine, it's the least I can do for his birthday."Jin said.
They saw a news from Nadja from the tv."Don't be bemused, it's just the news. The mayor of Paris will be unveiling the Startrain, right here at the Gare du Nord train station. This ultra-modern train will travel between France and the UK at record speeds, faster than flying by plane!"
"Well humans keep evolving further and further."Shinku said.
"Yeah, but now I gotta go."He walks outside.
He then sees Marinette at the fridge with a apple and Sabine talking on the phone.
"Oh, come on now! It really is a shame, Rolland! It's your son's 40th birthday today!"Sabine said."And, uh, I know how much Tom would love it if you-"Rolland hangs up and Sabine gasps."Oh..."
"Is that my grandfather again?"Marinette said.
"Yes."Sabine said.
"Grandfather?"Jin came out and they looked at him.
"Oh yes, you don't know, Rolland is Tom's father."Sabine said.
"I see."Jin said.
"So he's definitely not coming, then?"Marinette said.
"I did everything I could. It would've made your dad so happy. He doesn't talk very openly about his feelings, but I know he's sad that he doesn't see his own father anymore. It's a shame."Sabine said.
"I'd really like to meet him someday, too."Marinette said.
"He hasn't left his home or seen a single person for over 20 years!"Sabine said.
"What?"He got surprised."How does he survive?"He looks at his watch."Be right back, I got an call to do."He runs off.
He then goes to the other side and takes out his phone."Hey Hitoshi, did you hear about what those Clown's have been doing?"
"Yes, they have been doing they're own wrestling show."Hitoshi said.
"The nerve of them."Jin then saw Marinette run out of her room and go outside."Gotta go, I gotta see what she's planning this time."He follows her.
He then sneaks behind where Marinette was going before she arrives at a house that looked old fashion.
"What is she doing there?"He said while hidding in a alley.
"So."He got surprised and saw Shinku there."Stalking your own sister."
"Stalking, you do know I'm trying to make her not do anything stupid."He said.
"She is very stubborn, it seems she went here to see your grandfather."Shinku said.
"What?!"Jin got surprised."She went to see him. I know that dad is sad but I don't think talking to him will work."
They then saw a truck stop near the house and Marinette talks to the delivery guy and they gave her the bag of flour and his hat, she then goes in pretending to be the delivery girl.
"We gotta go in."He then goes to the door while carrying Shinku.
He then rings the bell.
"Who's there?!"Rolland voice was heard.
"Landshark."Jin said.
"Go away, I'm not buying what your selling!"Rolland said
"Well that didn't work."She said.
Jin looks around before looking at Shinku getting an idea, he then rings the bell again.
"What?!"Rolland said.
"Excuse me sir, we're showing off a set of old fashion dolls made by my old uncle and I was wondering if you would like to see our demo one for a future purchase."Jin said.
There was a silence.
"How old is this doll?"He asked.
"It's made the same way as the old time ones just used with the best quality unlike the cheep ones."Jin said.
"Okay fine, my mother used to collect them."He lets Jin in.
Jin comes inside the house and sees it's very old fashion, he then saw Marinette and she got surprised to see him, then Rolland came and Jin saw he was a old man with glasses.
"Okay so wheres the doll?"Rolland saw Jin."Your japanese."
"Yes, I'm also adopted."He said.
"Well okay, I'm not going to judge someone for adopting a kid."Rolland said.
Jin then shows Shinku, Rolland looks at her before he picks her up with Jin worried, he turns her around and said:"Well her dress is made from that old cloth from noble women."
"Yes, we've found a storage that has kept them intact, so we're using them to make the dolls look like noble women."Jin said.
"Okay, that's not bad."He then pulls down her sleeve and Jin got even more worried."Yup the same joints, your uncle is a good craftsman."He gives the doll back.
"Thank you."Jin said.
"Why didn't I think of that?"Marinette said to herself.
"Well you showed the doll, it his how it was done back in the past, just better made then those cheep knock offs. Now you can leave."Rolland said.
Jin then saw a old tv there."Wow, that's pretty old."
"Yes, it's just how I like it."Rolland said.
"Okay, just with less channels than from the japan ones."Jin said.
"What?! Your telling me that the Japanese tvs had more channels."Rolland said.
"Well yeah, they can go up to 90."Jin looks at Marinette."Oh and you are?"He pretends not to know her.
"Oh, my name is Germaine."She said.
"Yes yes, now can you please leave."Rolland said.
Jin was about to say something until he saw a figure of Andre the Giant."Your a Andre the Giant fan."
Rolland looks at it and smiles a little."Yeah, theres no one that could compete with him when he was young, he was the largest man of the world, but then he left France."He frowns.
"Actually he came back."Jin said.
"Really?!"Rolland got surprised.
"Yeah, he signed with WCW, since he wanted to come back home."Jin said.
Rolland stares at him and said:"Well at least he's back in France, but maybe he can show those wannabes a true wrestler."
"Does the tv work?"Jin asked.
"Nope. Turned it on one day and poof! Stopped working."Rolland said.
"You can ask someone to come and fix it, I heard a group of guys that collect old tvs and even have them working for the new cable standards, even harvesting ones that can't be save to fix the others."Jin said.
"Well, I could give them a call to see if it's okay."Rolland said.
Marinette looks at the counter."Oh! Nice bread dough!"She goes up to it.
"Wait, no! Don't touch that! That's not how it's- !"Rolland tried to stop her.
"Don't worry, I know how it's done."She starts kneading it."ou take the dough and fold it in half, rhythmically, pressing it flat..."
"...snapping it slightly- oh! Huh?"Marinette, Jin and Rolland said at the same time.
"It gives it elasticity and develops the gluten in the dough, so that it holds together well after it's been baked."Marinette said.
Rolland looks away."Tch! You're just a school girl reciting a lesson. You don't really know how it's done."
"I do know my stuff. Maybe even better that you, old man."Marinette said and Jin frowns a bit.
"Better than me? Better than me? Better than me!?"He looks down at his mice with a smile."Charlotte, Marie-Louise, Marguerite, do you hear that? Better than me!?"He laughs before pointing a finger at Marinette."We'll see about that."The mice put ingredients in front of him."Get into position. Germaine! We're going to make some bread together! Then we'll see who's the baker, and who's only good for delivering flour!"
"Okay, hey wanna be the taste tester?"Marinette looks at Jin.
"Alright, you need someone that can test it."Jin said and he waits.
The two knead separate loaves of bread, Rolland then picks up a container.
"See this yeast? It's been grown for over two-thousand years by my family, ever since my indomitable ancestor, Loafamix the Gaul. We used to make bread in a small Armorican village, fell alongside Vercingétorix. To be precise, he was my great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great..."He scratches his head and starts counting with his fingers."Great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather!"
"So long generation."Jin said.
"Yes, but the Romans won. Poof!"Rpland slams his fist into his other hand, startling Marinette."And started putting vegetables and cheese on their bread! Lulu lululu! And now it's pizza! Bleh, bleh, bleh bleh bleh!"
"I'm going to stay out of that."Jin said.
"Yeah I know Japanese boy, you have your own traditions so I'm not going to judge."Rolland said."You eat rice with fish."
"You mean sushi, well at least you didn't say that's chinese like one racist girl I know."Jin said.
"I maybe a lot of things but I am not racist."Rolland said.
"Well I like pizza."Marinette said.
"You like pizza? You, Germaine, like pizza?!"Rolland said.
"Yes, I do."She said.
"What is she doing?"Jin said.
Shinku was behind him sitting on a chair watching."Getting arrogant."
"Oh! She likes pizza! Oh! But that's not how it's done! You don't put cheese and tomatoes on bread dough! It's just like my son, and his wife, who got it into their heads that adding rice to the dough, would make the inside of the bread lighter! That's not how it's done!"Rolland said.
"But what if it's really yummy? Have you ever tried your son's bread?"Marinette said.
Rolland slams his fist to the dough."Tata, tatata! No need, I already know it's not going to be good. Making bread with rice flour. That's. Not. How. It's. Done!"
"Okay, let's just go back to the contest."Jin said making them go back to work.
"If my bread comes out tasting as good as yours, will you agree to do just one thing for me?"Marinette said.
"Why? What do you want me to do?"Rolland said.
"Are you a baker, or a nosy detective?"Marinette said.
"Ha! Your bread won't be as good as mine anyway."Rolland shakes her hand and they went back to work.
Then Marinette starts to sing a tune from her father."La la, lala lala, lalala."
"That song... that's the song my son and I used to sing when we were... kneading... dough! There's no way you could know that song. Un- Unless- Unless you're- But no, that- that's impossible!"Rolland looks at her.
She then takes off her cap."Yes, I'm your granddaughter, Marinette."
Jin then falls down.
"You're... my granddaughter? Liar! I don't have a granddaughter! Betrayal! Deceit! It's just like adding new ingredients to bread! Deceptive! That's not how it's done!"He pushes her out of the kitchen."Shoo! Get out! Get out! Out with the liar!"
"No! I'm not leaving, not until you've tasted my bread. You promised you would."Marinette strugles.
"Hoh! You want to stay here? Stay here then!"He closes the Kitchen door in front of her face.
Jin picks up Shinku and said:"I'll be waiting outside."He goes out.
"Whether you like it or not, you are my grandfather! And today's your son's birthday, don't you want to see him again?"Marinette yells through the door.
Jin goes up to her and said:"Lying isn't the way, I only did it to get in."
"But Jin."She said.
"Also, if you wanted to do a bet, at least wait until you won, not reveal yourself at the last minute."Jin said.
They heard a sound inside and Marinette knocks."Grandpa!"Then the door busts opened knocking them back to reveal a villain made of bread.
"There is no grandpa. I am Bakerix, and anyone who doesn't do things the way they should be done, will be served my indomitable wrath! Soon, Paris will look like it did before the modern world took over!"Bakerix laugs before drinking a can of yeast.
"No! Grandpa!"Marinette said.
His muscles expanded before he jumps through the roof.
"We gotta get help."Jin runs outside with Shinku while Marinette stays at the house.
He finds broken mirror in a alley and jumps inside it, he takes out Gai's deck and points it at the mirror making the belt appear."Henshin."He slots it in transforming into Kamen Rider Gai.
Bakerix lands in front of a bus making it stop, he then notices something turning to it."Huh? Why isn't this bus making any noise?"
"Well, because it's a modern bus, it runs on electricity."Driver said.
"An electric bus? That's not how it's done! Buses make noise! They run on gas and spew out stinky, black smoke!"He grabbed the bus and throws it."Away with modern buses!"Ladybug appears, making a net with her yo-yo, catching the bus before it crashes."What's all this? There's a flying superman girl in Paris now?"
"Yup! Girl, and superhero. You gotta get with the times."Ladybug said.
"That's not how it's done! It's up to the police or the army to carry out law enforcement! Not you!"He charges at her and she got worried until Gai tackles him away.
"Gai!"She said.
"Your lucky I'm here."He said.
Bakerix looks at him."Super belt. That's not how it's done! Belts are supposed to be used to hold up your pants not transform into superheroes!"He picks up a car and throws it at them making the heroes dodge them."I'm going to rid Paris of all this modern nonsense, starting with you!"He throws more at them with Gai stopping one.
"Well technically, I'm not actually all that modern."Ladybug starts fighting him."My Miraculous is from ancient times!"
"Well, we didn't have superheroes in my youth!"He fights her back and she jumps away, then Ladybug throws her yo yo making it wrap around his arm."here will be no superheroes in my Paris!"There will be no superheroes in my Paris!"He pulls the yo yo throwing her away.
"Ladybug!"Gai said and he inserts a card.
STRIKE VENT!
He gets his metalhorn and Bakerix said:"Cards that give you weapons. That's not how it's done! Cards are used to play games like poker, or blackjack, or gold fish, or old maid! They are not used to give you powers!"
"Well your a broken record now."Gai charges at him.
They traded attacks with Gai hitting him but Bakerix punches him away, Bakerix runs away with Gai chasing him.
There was a live show wrestling and Bakerix goes inside and was about to say something until he sees a battle royal with Andre the giant there with a crowd there watching him, he then sits down to watch the match.
Andre throws many of them out of the ring with ease and raises his arms in victory.
"Now that's how it's done! Andre should always win."Bakerix said and they all got scared when they saw him and ran away.
Andre got surprised before Bakerix runs off, Gai comes in and Andre said:"Wait your a Kamen Rider."
"Yes, I'm Gai."He said.
"Is this the villains that are always hurting my country?"He said.
"Yes, but it's best you go and hide."Gai said.
"No way, I'm Andre the Giant, I won't allow someone hurt this city."He said.
Gai thinks about it and said:"Follow me."They went to a bathroom and Gai checks for anyone.
Gai then takes out a forest green deck with a Gorilla's head in gold."Andre, I present you this chance to join the ranks of the riders, will you accept this and return the deck after the battle is over?"
Andre looks at it and nodded, he took the deck and points it at the mirror making the belt appear, he puts it to the side."Henshin."He slots it in.
He then transforms, he now has a black bodysuit with the chest armor being like Gai's, the shoulder pads were round with a silver line while being the same color of green as the deck, the arms and leg armor were green too with the helmet having visor with eight vertical lines for the slits and a green dome, the visor was a Axe that was green on the blade with the slot being on the back of the blade.
"Welcome, Kamen Rider Goliath."Gai said.
"Let's go."Goliath said and they went out.
They arrived at the Gare du Nord where the new train was being shown off, they saw Ladybug and Cat Noir arrived.
"Need help."They looked back and saw the two riders.
"Wow."Cat Noir looks at Goliath."I though Gai was a big man."
"I am Goliath."He said.
"Fitting."Cat Noir said.
"Let's go."Ladybug said and they went inside.
Bakerix was lifting the train up before Ladybug jumps on top of the train."Be reasonable now, Mister Bakerix. There are a lot of people on this train."
"Well then they better get off, because it's on it's way to the wrecking yard!"Bakerix said before two arms lifted his up letting it go, he turns around to see Goliath restraining him.
"Leave them alone."he then throws the villain away and he lands on the ground.
Cat Noir and Gai were helping the people come out and Chloe exits it."You should ask Queen Bee for some help."
"Thanks but we needed extra muscle."Gai said and escorts her away.
Goliath then clashes arms with Bakerix who dranks more from the canteen growing bigger, but the extra power from thr suit managed to push him back surprising the villain before he picked him over his head.
"Wow!"Bakerix said before he got thrown to the ground.
Ladybug jumps to a support with Cat Noir and Gai joining her."We gotta stop Bakerix."She throws her yo yo to the air."Lucky charm!"then it made a bottle of tomato sauce appear and she catches it.
"Tomatoes in a bottle? Mmm, I doubt our friend will take too kindly to this."Cat Noir said.
"That's what I'm counting on."She looks around."In fact, I'm planning to give our baker friend the least traditional sandwich possible."She jumps away.
Goliath and Bakerix were still fighting with each trading punches before Goliath inserted a card on the visor.
STRIKE VENT!
He then gets two green gauntlets that are like gorilla hands with silver fingers, he then punches at Bakerix making him grunt before picking him up and doing a Butterfly Suplex sending him down.
Bakerix got up and prepares to fight until they saw Ladybug with a sandwich putting many stuff."How about some super sour candy chews, plus some super chemical chewing gum, all packed between two slices of white industrial bread."
Cat Noir and Gai were nearby.
"Oh, stop it, Ladybug, you're making us all drool! Isn't that right, Bakerix?"Cat Noir said.
He stammers and said:"I'm not falling for your stupid little tricks."
"Okay, in that case I'll add... some tomatoes in a bottle."She takes out the bottle pouring the tomatoes on the sandwich making Bakerix shocked."Mmmm, now this sandwich is gonna taste like pizza! It's gonna be so good!"
"That's not how traditional sandwiches are done!"Bakerix charges at her and she goes outside with the heroes.
Ladybug sees a grate that leads to a turbine and said:"Do your thing, Cat Noir!"
"Cataclysm!"He touches the grate making it rust.
Bakerix jumps and lands on top of it before it starts to break and he falls with the turbine suspending him in midair.
"You're just blown away by this sandwich, aren't you?"Ladybug said to him.
"That's not how it's done!"He tries to drink again but the liquid went up.
"Well, that's how we do it, anyway."Cat Noir knocks the flask away and Gai punches it freeing the akuma.
She then opens the yo yo."No more evil-doing for you, little akuma. Time to de-evilize!"She then catches it."Gotcha!"she then frees it."Bye-bye, little butterfly."
She then throws the lucky charm to the sky."Miraculous Ladybug!"then it turns into smaller Ladybugs and they fixed all the damage, then Rolland turns back to normal looking confused.
"Pound it!"the heroes fist bumped.
"My bread! I left some bread baking in the oven, and my granddaughter's there! It's dangerous! It could catch fire!"Rolland said.
"Don't worry, Cat Noir will take you there."Gai said."See ya."He runs off with Goliath while Ladybug goes off.
After that Jin returns back to the house after getting the deck from Andre, he sees Marinette there and smiles.
"Marinette! Marinette!"Rolland came in to see Jin and her while Marinette was taking the bread out.
"Grandpa? Cat Noir? Is everything okay?"She asked.
"Uh, yes. I was just scared- the bread might be overbaked."he said and she puts the bread at the counter."It looks all right."
"You see? I do know how it's done."Marinette said.
"Well, if it's all good, I'll be on my way."Cat Noir said.
"No, wait! We need a judge, to determine which of these loaves is the best."Rolland said.
"I thought that was my job."Jin said.
"I heard you talking with Marinette."He said.
"Okay fine, yes Tom adopted me wich means your my grandfather too."Jin said and he got surprised.
"Uh, the thing is, I'm gonna transform back soon, and- whoa!"Rolland pushes him foward to the breads.
"Just taste them."Jin said.
Cat Noir tries both of them."Mmm. Both these breads are delicious, d'you have any jam by any chance?"
"That's not how you taste bread!"The three of them said before Rolland smiles at the sibblings.
"They're both tasty, in different ways. This one's more traditional, and this one has a delicate flavor that makes it special. It's too hard to choose."Cat Noir saw ring beep rapidly."I'm sorry but I really do have to get going."He runs to the front door."Thanks for the tasty snack!"
Rolland tries her bread."Mmm, he's right! This flavor is... is really good!"
"I did it the way my dad does it!"Marinette said.
"But how?"He said.
"I added rice to my dough when you weren't looking."She gives some of it to the mice and tyhey ate it."You can never have just one bite"Rolland tries it again."So now can I ask you to do that one thing? Will you come home with me? We're celebrating dad's 40th birthday tonight and I'm sure he'd be so happy to see his dad."
Rolland frowns and goes to a frame that was down and lifts it up to reveal Tom's wedding."You're not a traditional granddaughter, Marinette. But you know what?"He smiles at her."I like it, plus Tom did a good deed taking in another person."Jin smiles.
At the bakery
Tom was working with Sabine and his mother talking, then the door opened and Sabine and Gina looked only to be shocked.
"Rolland?!"Gina said seeing him carrying bread with Marinette and Jin.
Tom drops the rolling pin and looks back.
"Happy birthday, Dad."Marinette said making him smile.
"I don't know if my gift will be as good but."Jin said and someone else came in and they all gasped seeing Andre the Giant who has a big smile.
"Happy birthday."he said making the Rolland and Tom smile and they celebrated the birthday.
Note:Heres Bakerix with Andre the Giant becoming a Kamen Rider Goliath, if anyone can be a Kamen Rider he can certainly be one, also Guest yes also Toxic was made to be Jin's mirror counterpart which is the only reason why he exists too, one person can't have multiple counterparts, another example is Sentibug being Marinette's mirror counterpart.
