Marinette's tongue poked out of the side of her mouth as she carefully coated the leaf cookies with frosting. The only step after this was to smooth them out, and they could go in the display case.

"Marinette." She could hear her mother behind her, but Marinette dare not look up, for that might cause the leaf pattern to become a squiggle. "Marinette, tall, blonde and handsome at ten o'clock."

She froze. Only one boy was tall, blonde and handsome in her eyes. "Adrien?" she squeaked as he walked over.

They had become friends recently, but this was his first time in the shop. "I was in the area and thought I'd stop by to see you," she looked up, seeing he had apples on his cheeks. Aw, her crush was blushing! That made two of them! "And can you recommend anything? Everything looks awesome, but I want your opinion."

"How about these lovely orange fall leaf cookies? Oops!" In her excitement, Marinette had squeezed the piping bag squirting Adrien with frosting! "I'm so sorry!" she squeaked. Adrien swiped a finger across his face and popped it in his mouth. "Can I tell people I'm extra sweet?" Marinette giggled.

"Here, let me get some milk and we can enjoy a snack together." "I'll pick out a table," Adrien told her, selecting a spot in a yellow sunbeam.

Soon, the pair was chatting away like old friends, unaware Marinette's parents had snuck a peek at them. "They make the cutest couple!" Tom sighed. Sabine nodded, then gasped, clutching at her husband's arm.

"Tom! Look at their silhouettes! What do you see?" Sure enough, two silhouettes were visible, but it wasn't of Adrien and Marinette, it looked like Ladybug and Cat Noir!

"You don't think…" Sabine rubbed her eyes. "Even it is our heroes," Tom put an arm around his wife. "We'll be there for Marinette, and Ladybug and Cat Noir!"

The couple didn't see the shadows on the floor, but a strong bond was already growing between them, right there in the bakery that made treats with love.
