"Marinette? Honey?" "Hm," I don't what to answer the angel like voice, I want to keep cuddling my daughter. "Princess?" My eyelids flutter as my REM sleep slips away, and I open my eyes slowly, looking around. "Where am I?" "In a hallowed out tree, on the way to see Master Fu. Are you feeling all right, love?"

"No," I'm cold and hot at the same time, and Adrien seems fuzzy and far away. "Wait a second," I peer closely at my boyfriend. "You were the angel voice." Adrien smiles faintly. "Thanks, but I'm no angel. You are sweaty, love." "Not feeling-ugh," Literal word vomit spews from my mouth, and I hunker down in my leaves, shivering.

"Adrien, I'm so hot and cold at the same time," I gasp when I can talk again. Adrien's face is growing more and more concerned. "Love, its snowing pretty heavily out there. You must be very sick. I'm going to make you some tea, and then get help." "Help?" I croak. "Master Fu will know what to do." He's already scrambling out my tree hole, and is back with some tea. I lean heavily against Adrien as I slowly sip the warm sweet liquid. "Its mint tea." "Its good." "Are you hungry?" he gives me a peck on the forehead, and I sigh. That feels nice. "No, I just want to sleep." I finish my tea, and burrow down again.

"I'll leave some food with you in case you change your mind," Adrien says. "If I transform, my suit will be protect me from the cold, and I'll be at his cave in no time."

I hear the words, but they do nothing for me, but my eyes are growing heavy like the words are a soothing lullaby. I feel a soft sensation on my lips, and I crave it, wanting more.

Then I'm all alone, and I slip into a deep sleep, then a white light shines on me. The light is bright, almost blinding and I shield my eyes. When I wake up, the light is gone, and I'm lying in a green meadow. My tree hole is gone, and I scramble to my feet, taking in my surroundings. Where am I?

A swishing sound above me as me looking up, and I can't tell if its a bird or creature spiraling in the sky. Then it swoops towards me, and lands lightly on the balls of its feet.

It looks like Cat, only a pure white version of his suit, but his eyes are still the beautiful emerald green. The most major change to his suit is pure snow white wings which he folds behind him, his gaze intense on me.

I step back, letting out a little cry. "Please don't hurt me," I plead. He smiles a literal perfect smile. "I wouldn't dream of hurting you, Princess." I peer closely at him. "Cat?" He shakes his head. "You have it partly right. My name is CelestiCat. But you can call me Cat if you want," he gives me a playful wink.

Even asking the question, I feel a bit silly. "Are you an angel?" "No, just your protector while your here." "Where is here anyway?" "The In Between World. Your very sick, Marinette, but your not going to die. So, your subconscious brought you here for awhile."

My stomach growls and suddenly my lips have a raging thirst. "Is there food and drink nearby?" "Come with me. I'll get you anything you need."

A lunch of soup and berries, plus cold stream water to wash it down, I feel much better. "Now, what would you like to do?" CelestiCat asks. "What are your desires? Think about the choice carefully."

I squeeze my eyes shut, picturing a ball of warm fluff, and as I open my eyes an actual black cat is rubbing against my fingers. "Hello, sweetheart. Do you like cuddles?" With a happy meow, it clambers onto my lap, rolling over for a belly rub.

I feel my stress reducing, like my problems back in "The Real World" are miniscle, and CelestiCat watches me, a grin on his face. "Your much more relaxed now, Princess. When you return home, you should a cat." I nod, burying my face my cat's fur. But then, it vanishes.

"Come, I have other things to show you." I follow curiously, and we walk to a circle of large stones. "What is this place?" I ask, not thinking as I reach for CelestiCat's hand. "The Pillars of Desires. Your deepest wishes lie beyond in the stones, but only you may enter, Marinette." "Will I see you again?" "Yes, its quite safe, but beware, unpleasant thoughts could show up at anytime."

I enter, heart beating in my ears, but my anticipation outweighs my fear. I sit down in a comfy seat, a coffee instantly in my hand, which I chuckle at. But then, I see Emile walking around, happy, dancing with her son, alive. Even Gabriel joins in the happy dance, and I feel a rush of pure joy.

But then I feel cold and numb, a dark shadow passing over the brightness. The man in the purple suit enters, walking with a purple cane. "You!" I breathe. "You tried to break Adrien and I up, and after all I'm trying to help you!" "Hawkmoth's my name, and it shall be me having the last laugh, Marinette Dupain-Cheng. You body is fighting to live, as Adrien as yet to return. You see, it is I, not you, who shall have the upper hand!"

"No!" Once again my body feels sluggish and tired, so very tired. I want Adrien, my Kitty. A fluttering sound is heard, but I lie down, I don't want to fight.

"Marinette, take my hand!" CelestiCat rushes in, and I feebly reach up, and grasp his hand. Then, we are off soaring to the puffy white clouds, landing on a bed of softness. "I'm sorry, Marinette! That usually doesn't happen."

I shrug, curling up feeling so very small. A small ladybug without a flower and nectar. A ladybug all alone.
