Chapter 162 Preparation for Red Nova

Jin was at the temple of Sage with her and Spiritualist in front of him.
"To help you defeat Red Nova you need to learn some of our magic." Sage said.
"I see, is it possible?" He asked.
"Yes. We do sometimes get male children and they were able to learn our magics. Grace and Gloria were not born Amazonesses yet they were able to learn a bit as well." Spiritualist said.
"How does it work?" Jin wonders.
"First we need to give you some temporary markings. They will help you learn how to do our magic." Sage said.
"Why are they temporary?" He asked.
"Because they are only needed for the beginning." Spiritualist said.
"Afterwards they can't really do much to help." Sage said.
"Well I was thinking of stronger ones to help me." He said
"There might be a way to improve them." Sage said.
"I want to be better than others so that the most important people in my life won't suffer." He said.
"That is good, but you must be careful. Too much power at once can hurt you or worse if you can't handle it." Spiritualist warns him.
Jin takes off his shirt surprising them as he shows off the dragon tattoo. "Trust me, I have experience."
Sage and Spiritualist inspects it before coming up with an idea.
"We could connect the markings to it and that could work." Sage said.
"Okay." Jin nodded.
"Now we will need you to hold still while we apply the markings." Spiritualist said.
"Okay do it." Jin lies down.
They take out special magical charged paint and starts painting the markings on him. After a few minutes they were done. The markings flashes before the paint dries completely.
Jin looks at his dragon marking. "Okay, so what do they do?"
"First they help you develop a magic core if you don't have one. If you already do have that, they will increase its size." Sage said.
"Like this, by the power of the dragon." The marking starts to glow.
"Yes. I can tell your power is growing." Sage said.
"Well training makes things perfect." He said.
"Yes. First, we need to do some basic spells. One is called Arrow Storm which summons arrows made from magic to attack your enemies. The more magic that is put into it the more arrows are made but too many arrows and not enough magic will be too weak." Spiritualist said.
He uses the power of the dragon to make a arrow come down.
"Good. Now there is two different ways to use this spell. You can use it a widespread attack or use it to attack an enemy in a homing attack as long as they are in range of your senses." Sage said.
He listens to her lessons about it.
"There is also another way to use the arrows. Instead of making many arrows you can make a small number and put magic into them to make them larger or while in their current size make them unstable enough to cause an explosion." Spiritualist said.
"I understand, versatile style, but don't the Archers use it?" He asked.
"Yes, but they also use normal arrows to trick enemies and incase of anti-magic areas." Sage said.
"Well..." He summons his Legendary bow. "I think I combine the spell with my bow to make it stronger."
"Yes, that could work." Sage said.
"Then let's get to training. Who else would be next?" He asked.
"Spy as her stealth skills and other skills will help." Spiritualist said.
"I see. What's the next step?" He asked.
"She will teach you some of her stealth skills, traps, and several other things." Sage said.
"So Im going to see Spy now?" He got surprised.
"Yes. To defeat Red Nova, you need any and all skills you can get as he is a dangerous opponent." Spiritualist said.
"Okay, well let's go. And thank you." He smiles at them.
They blushed a bit before shaking their heads.
"If you defeat Red Nova then we will be indebted to you." Sage said.
"Wait... Is it that wife again?" He said.
"Yes, but also a lot more. If you succeed our people and world will be safe from Red Nova again." Spiritualist said.
"I know that last part." He said.
"This mean our future children and so on will be safe from him." Sage said.
He nodded. "Also do you actually love me like love me?"
"Yes." Both girls said.
He blushes hearing that. "Okay." He goes off.
"Do you think Jin will win?" Spiritualist asks Sage.
"We have to believe in him and teach him all we can." Sage said.
Jin goes out and he saw Spy. "Oh hey again."
"Jin. Are you ready for your training?" Spy asks him.
He nodded at her.
"Now first we need to test your stealth skills then see how good you are at finding people hiding. Think of this like a game of hide and seek." Spy said.
He got an idea and uses Verde deck. Henshin."
He inserts it and transforms into the form.
"What is this one called?" Spy asks him.
"Verde." He said.
"Interesting. What can this one do?" Spy asks.
He takes out a card and uses it.
CLEAR VENT!
He turns invisible.
"Invisibility?" Spy questions in surprise.
"Camouflage." He said.
"Interesting. Go ahead and start hiding. I will give you 30 seconds." Spy said closing her eyes.
He goes off and hides between the trees.
After 30 seconds have passed Spy opens her eyes and checks the area around her.
She heard a bush behind her.
Spy looks at it before frowning.
Nearby Verde throws a pebble hitting a tree
"I see. You're using items like stones to make me think you are in one place when actually you are in another." Spy said nodding in slight approval.
He moves around like a ninja to avoid her.
"But I can still find you." Spy said as she throws a knife at Verde.
But to her surprise she hit a mirror.
"A mirror?" Spy questions as she wonders where it came from.
She then got tackled from behind. "Ninja skills."
"You did well but what if you don't have your suit to help you?" Spy said.
"I've been training to be a ninja." He said.
"Impressive. Now it is my turn to hide." Spy said.
She goes out and Verde looks around.
Spy was hidden well.
Verde looks around. How can one find a hidden enemy.
He sees a shard of the mirror and looks at it.
Verde looks around and he saw a hidden spot at a tree. "Over there!" He throws it making her get a cut in the arm.
"He found me." Spy said surprised and a bit happy as she grabs her arm.
"In order to trick your enemy, you must use a different way to see. So by using that shard I saw your hidding place before you could leave." He said.
"Good. You know that lesson." Spy said.
"Now how about we work on trap making?" She asks him.
"Traps?" He said.
"Sometimes a frontal assault or a range one will not work. By setting traps you can catch your enemy by surprise as long as the trap works, and you hide it well." Spy said. "It can also help you with catching animals."
"For example, please walk to that tree." Spy asks him pointing at a tree.
He goes towards it and jumps over a rope. "Yeah right, the old rope trap trick."
Then Verde was hit by another trap. A pitfall one.
"Even if you expect one trap there can always be another." Spy said.
He jumps out out of the trap.
"There are other more dangerous traps you can place as long as you are careful." Spy said.
"I see. Is this some magic or just normal work?" He asked.
"Both. You can't rely on magic fully as there is anti-magic areas." Spy
Verde understood.
"Now what traps do you know?" Spy asks.
"Pitfalls and tree ones, since Ninjas dig holes not for traps but mostly to hide." He said.
"Show me your skills. I need to see your time in making them and how good they are." She said.
Verde does that and makes a hole and shows her the hidding one, he lifts the trap door while inside. "By putting leaves ninjas hide from they're enemy to strike."
"This would be a good method. Now what about your tree skills?" Spy asks.
He jumps to the tree and takes out a sheet. "One of them is ti cover yourself and become one basically with the tree."
"That's an interesting way to hide." She said.
"Ninjas are always crafty." He said.
"Ambushing from a hidden place is also a good way to take down your enemy." Spy said.
Verde nodded.
"One way you can use the pitfalls is place wood spikes in them." Spy said.
"Well yeah that's what mostly use it." verde said
"Now let's work on your trap making skills." Spy said.
He nodded as went to work.
A while later Spy was studying some of Jin's traps with a critical eye.
Jin also felt the dread from Red Nova presence.
"It seems like your traps are decent but they can be better but I think it is almost time for your next trainer to take over." Spy said.
"Who?" He asked.
"Paladin. She wants to teach you her style of fighting." Spy said.
He nodded and they saw Familiar appear. "So the hero is training with them."
"What are you doing here?!" Spy demands from him as she prepares to fight if needed.
"Oh I just came to see. But do you think you can stop Red Nova with just your training." He laughs.
"Red Nova will be defeated." Spy said believing in Jin.
He shoots fire. "Take this!"
Verde goes in front to protect her but then a reaction happened as a black red energy come out the ground.
"What?" Familiar Said.
They saw it turn into the shape of a humanoid dragon with three homens and wings roaring at him.
"A Dragon?!" Spy exclaims in surprise.
Familiar got shocked seeing it. "No way."
"He seems shocked to see it." Spy said as she wonders why.
The dragon vanishes.
"Maybe the reason is important." He said
Jin will have to find out about that dragon since it can be the key to beat Red Nova.
