In the Grip of Evil
In the cave, the water droplet is dropping from the stalactites and Chiro was inside, looking for something.
"Is anybody there? Antauri? Nova? Tyran?" He calls them but no answered. "Where are you?"
He start exploring the cavern but he heard an eerie sound but saw nothing there before moving on.
"Maybe a better question is…where am I?" He asked until he sees something glowing in the tunnel.
He ran to it and stumbled upon the big red skull door and the statue of Tyran and the monkey team that faces the door.
"Why does this all seems familiar? Have I been here before?" He pondered while walking towards the door.
Chiro tried to push the door open but it didn't budge.
"You come every night, Chiro!" The voice said, spewing out the specters from the door. "There is no escaping this room!" It tried grabbing him but Chiro jumped before it grabs him and formed a dark entity.
"Who are you?" Chiro demanded.
"I am eternal, I am your destruction!" It said, sprouting its tentacles and grabbed Chiro, holding him up in the air.
"Monkey team, help!" He called them but they didn't come to help him. "Help!" He struggled to escape its grip.

While exploring the outskirts of the city, I discovered an abandoned Super Robot. It was then my life was transformed by the mysterious Power Primate. The Robot Monkeys and a Cyborg were awakened and I, Chiro, became their leader. Our quest: save Shuggazoom City from the evils of the Skeleton King.

Chiro is still in hold of the entity while he struggles to get away until the tendrils wrapped his around.
"Monkey team!" Chiro cried but in reality, he woke up. "DAAAHHH! AAAHHHHH!" He screamed after waking up from nightmare before breathing slowly, thinking it was all a dream.
Antauri wakes up when Chiro enter his quarter.
"More nightmares, Chiro?" He asked.
"For almost a week now." Chiro replied. "What's happening to me?"
"Worry not, the mind is a tenuous puzzle box." Antauri said. "Much like dreams, nightmares are only a reflection of our hopes and fears. Many of them buried deep within us."
The alarm went off, alerting them as they rushed to the bridge.
"Monkeys, mobilize!" Chiro declared, banging their door.
"What time is it?" Sparx yawned, waking up by noises along with the others.
Chiro and Antauri looked at the monitor as the others comes from the chute.
"What's the emergency here?" Tyran asked.
"Shuggazoom is under attack?" Otto said.
The screen shows something is attacking within the Super Robot.
"No, we are! And whatever it is has breached the Robot's hyper armor!" Gibson looked back to see the specters from Chiro's dream, phasing through the wall. "Out of all our countless cosmic conflicts, we've never encountered entities such as these before."
"I have, in my nightmare." Chiro noted, seen them in his nightmare.
"Let's get them!" Nova tried to punched them but they electrocuted her when touching her.
"Nova!" Sparx cried and dodge the specters.
"Don't let them touch you!" Chiro warned them while ducking from them. "Use your energy attacks!" He moved away from them. "Chiro Spearo!" He threw his lightning spear at the specter, destroying it.
"Scritch-Scratch Doom Thrower!" Otto scratch his saw blades and shoot the energy at them, destroying two specters.
When Gibson fires his drill blaster at the specters but missed and destroys the chairs, they reformed themselves.
"There's something wrong here." He said, dumbfounded before blasting more specters.
Antauri somersaults back from the entities with his Ghost Claws.
"I sense it too, Gibson! Monkey Mind Screech!" He roared his monkey noise at the specters, destroying them but more specters is coming.
"Sparx, Nova, Tyran! Sonic Triple Attack!" Chiro called.
"Electro Vibra Force!" Sparx clasped his magnet hands, creating a sonic blast.
"Sting Ring!" Nova clasped her giant fist, creating a sonic blast.
"Sonar Optic Laser!" Tyran fires orange sonar ring lasers at them.
They combined their energy attacks, destroying the remaining entities.
"Looks like we got them all." Otto said.
They felt a rumble as the whole bridge is shifting and back to normal.
"What is going on here?" Tyran asked, thinking that there's something very wrong here.
Chiro punched the wall and it vibrates, shocking him.
"And something not right." He said before turning to others. "I know what it is. I'm still asleep, We all are! Don't you get it? We're all in a dream."
"But Chiro, how can we be dreaming at the same time?" Tyran said while the monkey team gave him a doubtful look.
Suddenly, the specters sprouted up as the familiar cackles is heard, shocking them.
"Or perhaps…a nightmare!" The specters forms together, creating a phantasm of…Skeleton King.
"No, It can't be!" The cyborg gasped at the greatest threat of Shuggazoom.
"Skeleton King?! You're gone!" Chiro snarled. "This must be a bad dream!"
"No! You are the dream and I am a dreamer." He cackled, maliciously and sprouting his tongues and drags them in his mouth.
"AAAAHHHHH!" They screamed as they were dragged to the abyss of dream.
Chiro, Antauri, and Nova was separated from Tyran, Sparx, Otto, and Gibson as they fell to the other dream realms.
"Ohh!" They moaned from landing and look up to see the valley.
"This place looks familiar." Nova said, looking at their surrounding with Planetoid Q above them.
"And yet so different." Chiro said, looking at the mountain that resembled a Super Robot.
"I don't believe this is real at all, Chiro." Antauri said. "It is a mental projection."
Suddenly they heard a shriek noise and looked up to see the creature that looks like a brain for a head and body of a centipede and it crawls down the cliff.
"Is that a mental projection too?" Chiro questioned him while pointing at it.
The creature spews acid at them as they dodged it.
Chiro jumps up and punched it rapidly but it pushes him back.
"Lady Tomahawk!" Nova smashed the ground, creating a shockwave to make the rock slide from the cliff and buried it.
They approached it carefully and Chiro poked it with the stick and flinched but nothing happened. They sighed in relief that the creature is finished but the monster springs out of rubble.
"AAAAAHHHHHH!" They screamed and run for their life as it chases them until they reached the dead end to the cliff. The monster is getting closer as it intends to eat them.
From the sky, something hits it, stopping it from eating them. Chiro and the two monkeys looked up to see a man wearing a hooded robe, descending down.
"Stay back. You don't know what you're dealing with." The man warned them as he confronts the creature.
It attacks him but he cast his power, zapping it until it shrunk down to insect size. It looked up to Chiro and two monkeys smiling down at them, ready to squish it. It shrieks and retreated to the small crevasse.
"Thanks for your help." Chiro thanked him.
"You look familiar, do I know you?" Nova asked, feeling that she knows him somewhere.
"I'm a friend." The man said, "One you'll need here…in the dream lands."
"The dream lands?" Antauri inquired.
"While your body sleeps, your mind is trapped here." He explained. "In the realms of what is coming before."
"Can you help us find our friends?" She asked his help.
"I can but the way is long and perilous and time is short." The man said. "Come."
He leads them to find the others in the dream lands.
Meanwhile, Tyran and the rest of them landed in the other dream.
"Okay, I'm ready to go home now." Sparx said as he, Otto, and Tyran landed on Gibson.
"You know, I was thinking." Otto said. "Maybe we're just dreaming we're in a tree."
"You think, Otto." Tyran said, rolling his optics.
They see Scrapperton crawling by them.
"Scrapperton?" Gibson said.
"What's he doing here?" He said as they went to follow him.
Scrapperton is headed to the rock that looks like the Elevator monster that they fought. The rock opened with Mandarin and Sakko inside as he went in and closed it before it disappeared.
"Mandarin and Sakko? What is this place?" Tyran asked after seeing the foes they fought.
"I believe this dream world is sustained by our memories." Gibson said before looking up to see multiple projections of Thingy and a small fly that looks like Flytor, flies next to his face until he smacks it with his hand. "After all everything we know, reality is a simply a reflection of-Sparx, Otto, Tyran, Are you even listening to me?"
"Ohhh!" Otto moaned along with Sparx as they gazed up at giant Aurora Six. When she winks at them, they were blown over by her pretty face before she walks away.
Then, Tyran sees her crazy ex-girlfriend walk by them. She had a long white hair with a bow and horns for her head, a one-piece pink swimsuit, a razor claws for hands, a long tail, a pair of wings, and a knee-high boot as she looks like a succubus demon the Otto and Sparx was blown by her looks as well.
"Geez, and I thought my nightmare is worst than my fear." Tyran said, seeing her ex-girlfriend in the dream.
"Can we please pay attention?" He chided them before pondering. "I'm trying to explain how a memory could aid in our escape. Allow me to concentrate."
"Toodle-loo!" The voice interrupt his thoughts.
The voice came from the cheetah, wearing a robe and monocle, coming down with umbrella.
"A cheetah with a mustache?" Sparx said.
"What's that all about?" Otto said.
"I don't what I'm looking at." Tyran said.
"I don't recall any memory of said cheetah." Gibson said, never seen him before.
"Tallyhoe, my good chaps." It said, blowing his pipes after landing. "I was curious if I could per chance have a spot to eat."
"What do you want to eat?" Otto asked.
The cheetah stood there for a moment until he turns into a monster.
"YOUUU!" It snarled.
"AAAHHHHH!" They screamed by a horrific cheetah monster.
Back with Chiro and the others, they stopped at the cliff while looking at the rocky valley.
"This place goes on forever." Chiro said. "Is there any way out?"
"There is a doorway, a portal that bridges this world to the waking world." The man said.
"Is it far?" Nova asked.
"As far as yesterday and yet as closest tomorrow." He said.
"Sheesh, he talks like you, Antauri." Nova exclaimed.
"I believe he means this storm is simply another memory." Antauri said, simply what the man said.
The lightning is striking the realm when Chiro saw Skeleton King appeared and rosed up as another phantasm.
"Do you understand nothing?!" He snarled. "I am a master of this world!"
He swing his staff at them but they dodged from the blow. Chiro landed on the pillar but jumped when Skeleton King smashed his staff at him.
"Monkey Fu!" Chiro blast his primate energy at him, hitting his eye as he cries in pain.
Angered that the boy hurt his eye, He punched him his fist but missed when Chiro jumped up as he sneered at him.
"Abomination!" The man blast his magic at the Skeleton King but it didn't faze him.
"There is nothing you can do to stop me, you pathetic shell!" He roared as he cast his power at the man.
"AAAAUGGGHHH!" The man yelled before he was obliterated completely, shocking Chiro and the monkeys.
"YOU MONSTER!" Nova cried as she and Antauri charged against him but Skeleton King zapped them, leaving them damaged and unmoving.
Shocked that his monkeys is down, Chiro hopped the pillars while avoiding his blast to helped his team.
They looked up to see Skeleton King looms over them and raised his staff to finished them off.
"GET AWAY FROM THEM!" Chiro roared as he unleashed his inner primate power.
"Your end is nigh, chosen one!" Skeleton King cackled.
Meanwhile, Tyran and the monkeys ran away from the cheetah monster.
"Hurry! Faster!" Otto yelled while running.
"Magna-Tingler Blast!" Sparx blast his magnet energy at the monster while running but no effect as it keeps chasing them as its closing in on Otto.
"Laser Optic!" Tyran looked back and blast the laser at it but no effect as well. "This is no good! We gotta lose that thing!"
"I do!" Gibson aimed his drill-hand and fired the mountain, causing the big rock to fall on cheetah monster before it disappeared.
They looked back to the monster that is dealt with as Gibson blew his drill.
"We gotta get out of this dream!" Otto said.
"And back into the real world." Sparx added.
"We've got bigger problem ahead." Gibson issued, pointing at someone beyond the rocky valley.
They looked to see Skeleton King over the valley as he cackled while Chiro evade his power from his staff until he swings his staff at Chiro, thinking that he's finished.
"Huh?" Skeleton King sees him stopping his staff from finishing him.
He pushed down harder as Chiro tried to hold off his staff until he sent his primate energy at him, destroying him for now before Chiro powers down, exhausted.
"Chiro!" Otto said as he and the others arrived.
"I'm okay." He said. "Help the others."
Otto plugged the recharger in her brain, rebooting her system.
"I just rebooted your cerebrum." Otto said. "So you should feel a little better, Nova."
"Oh, I feel like I got hit on the head by a planetoid but its good to see you." She said.
Gibson plugged the recharger in his brain, rebooting his system.
"My thanks, Gibson." Antauri thanked him.
The man's robe is falling towards them.
"Just like that, he's gone." Chiro said, looking at the robe.
"Gone? But not forgotten." They looked at another direction to see him, descended down.
"Who is this guy?" Sparx said.
"That's what I liked to know." Chiro said.
"That makes three of us, Chiro." Tyran said.
"I was an alchemist, one who merges science and magic." The Alchemist said, holding two magic properties in his hands. "I tried to create the ultimate force for good. I was about succeed when he-Oh no!" He senses that Skeleton King is regaining his power. "He's already regained his strength! He is coming!" The sky is raining with fire as the alchemist protects them with magic shield. "Go now!" The Hyper Force turns to leave but the flames with Skeleton King face in it.
"When all these fires and brimstones and the world howls like a rabid beast, the universe will be MINE!" He cackled as the ground beneath them cracked, causing everyone to fall.
"AAAHHHHHH!" They screamed as they fall.
"Oblah Nafla Nava!" The Alchemist cast a spell on the ground, causing the rock to rise and makes the platform as they land on it safely.
"That was way too close." Chiro said before the platform shook as they fall again.
"My magic won't last. It's up to you now!" He told them. "Only your combined will has the power to free yourselves. Concentrate, dream the door!"
They closed their eyes as they are teleported.
They teleport to the same cavern where Chiro dreamed.
"The way home, my friends." The alchemist pointed at the red door.
"Is that it?" Tyran said, looking at the alchemist, who vanished. "Where'd he go?"
Chiro walked toward the door and tried opening it.
"No Chiro, this is not for you to open."
"What's wrong?" He said as he had a flashback of them as a statue from his dream.
"I-I can't do it." Nova stammered. "Whatever inside, it's something I don't want to remember."
"I find myself quite frightened." Gibson admitted.
"It's our only way out, you must." He insisted.
Antauri goes first, next is Nova, and then the rest help Chiro to open the door.
"I'm gonna regret this." Sparx hesitated, having a bad feeling about this.
When they pushed the door opened, there was a lab and appearing in the lab was the Alchemist, standing next to the control panel.
"What is this place?" Nova asked as the Alchemist walked away as if he can't hear her.
"Antauri? Gibson? Someone wants to explain?" Chiro inquired.
"Our friend appears to have become a part of this dream." Antauri answered.
The Alchemist opens the back room with the baby-colored monkeys in each pod.
"What's with the monkey babies?" Otto noted.
Tyran notice the body under the sheet that covers the body and eyes with breathing mask on his mouth, hooked with IV and the machine that measure his heart rate.
The Alchemist pushed the lever, giving life to the monkeys as the orange monkey chattered.
"They looked like…us?" Sparx said, astonished.
He begun working on the monkeys, turning them into the cybernetic monkeys. He tested the weapons like Nova's giant fist. He transplant the cyber organs into the body of a person with long purple hair and attached the mask to his face, turning him into a cyborg. He equipped their weapons for robot monkeys and cyborg.
"They are us!" Otto exclaimed.
"The Alchemist created us?" Tyran said.
"And why didn't I remember this?" Sparx asked.
Tyran and the robot monkeys stood before the Alchemist.
"Your programming is complete, my monkey team. You are everything I hope you'd be." He said before turning to the cyborg. "And Tyran, I wish I could finish your voice synthesis but I didn't have much time left."
Tyran beeped in understanding.
"Thank you, only one thing remains to be done." He said as the chutes from the Super Robot opens for them.
"Initiating memory erase!"
They went in to their distinguished chute to erase the memory of their creator but Nova stood there.
"I don't want to lose my memory, please." She begged, not wanting to forget him.
"Forgive me, dearest Nova." He hugged her, sadly. "I won't forget you but it's imperative…you forget me." He puts her in the chute and closed it while Nova taps on the door as the plug inserts her brain, erasing her memory of the Alchemist.
"This is what we were supposed to forget." Antauri deduced. "But no memory can be erased entirely."
"It was a nightmare!" Nova said.
"But why?" Chiro asked.
"Because of what I was becoming." The Alchemist said, turning to them. "I created you to protect the universe from the great evil…" He suddenly turned. "MYSELF!" He lets out the familiar cackles as he flash them back to the cavern as they covered their eyes.
"Oh no. NO!" Chiro gasped in shock that the Alchemist is Skeleton King.
"Yes, I was once a mortal creature, weak with noble goodness." He said. "I thought myself a hero, I was a fool!"
"You made the monkey team and Tyran?" Chiro questioned him.
"No! My pathetic human side made these filthy primates and disgusting cyborg." Skeleton King said as the large wings sprouted out of the ground and flapped harder until the skull wyvern rises up from the ground while Skeleton King sits on his throne. "Ironic that now I will unmake them."
"Never!" Chiro jumped up. "Thunder Punch!" He channels the power to his right fist and prepares to punch him but Skeleton King blast him, knocking him back to the rock, dazed.
"He's more powerful than ever." Gibson noted as the skull wyvern blasted them but they dodged it and Antauri somersaulted back before jumping towards him.
"This ends now!" Antauri deliver a Ghost Claw palm strikes but Skeleton King parred them and zaps him away.
"You're going down, winghead!" Sparx fires the magnet energy at the Skeleton King but the skull wyvern deflects the blast with its wing and sending back to Sparx, knocking him back.
"Knuckle Duster!" Nova jumps towards him with giant fist but Skeleton King uses the illusion of Alchemist, causing Nova to stop attacking and surprised her by knocking her away with his power.
Gibson blast his drill laser but the skull wyvern breathes fire, overpowering his drill power and knocking him away.
"Axe-Mace Chuck Thrower!" Tyran swings his chained weapons around and throws it at the Skeleton King but he catches them at ease with one hand and swings him around until he lets go, throwing him away.
"Hey, Skeleton King!" Otto yelled while firing his saw blades at him but Skeleton King brings up the shield, allowing the saw blades scratch the surface.
"All too easy." He sneered, catching the saw blade and throws at Otto, who managed to dodge it. "Playtime is over, little simians. Time to go back to sleep…" He stood up and held his hand. "Forever!" His fingers became a tendril and grabbed the monkey team, Tyran, and Chiro. "HAHAHAHA…" Skeleton King laughed, swings them around while they struggles to escape his grip.
"Sleep? Of course, we've broken the seal, past beyond the door." Antauri realized. "We're free!"
"Monkey team, wake up! Wake up!" Chiro yelled them to wake up.
"You will not escape!" Skeleton King snarled, not allowed them to escape from his wrath.
Antauri, Sparx, and Nova closed their eyes, vanished from dream land along with Tyran, Gibson, and Otto who vanished from the dream world as well.
"No!" He snarled as he puts more grip on Chiro to make sure he never escaped.
"Wake up, Chiro! Chiro!"
"Chiro, you need to wake up!"
After hearing their voice, he breaks himself free, surprising the Skeleton King. He jumps down and punched him off his throne before they disappeared.
"Wake up, Chiro!"
The dream realm disappeared as Antauri and Tyran tried waking him up from the dream land.
"Wake up!" He called him as Chiro woke up and looked to his right where Tyran is next to the shadow with Skeleton King in it.
"Hugh!" The cyborg gasped at it as Chiro is in fighting stance on his bed.
"Hagh!" Skeleton King hissed as the light hits him.
"Not so powerful in the real world." Chiro said, mocking him.
"This is only the beginning. I'll return more powerful than ever!" He vowed that he'll return before vanishing in the darkness.
"Then we'll be waiting." The boy swore that they'll be ready if he shows up.
Outside on top of Super Robot, the Hyper Force were outside, discussing about the dreams they experienced, especially that now Skeleton King has returned.
"The nightmare is over. Skeleton King is gone…" Chiro said. "For now."
"I still can't believe that old bag of bones created us." Sparx said, not believing that he created them.
"No, the man he was. The good man; that's who created us." Nova exclaimed to Sparx that it wasn't Skeleton King who created them; it was the Alchemist who created them.
"The question is why. Why did an obviously good soul embrace such ruthless evil?" Gibson pondered, putting his hand on his chin.
"But was it a nightmare or memory?" Tyran said. "And why would he created us in the first place?"
"The morning holds many unanswered questioned, you two." Antauri told them. "The truth will remain a mystery…for now."
"I guess we'll never know the truth then." He sighed that the past will remain unknown.
With Skeleton King returned, they have to be ready if he strikes back again.
