Hunt for the Citadel of Bone
Somewhere in space, The Super Robot is flying in the asteroid field with flood light flashing, looking for something.
"Maintain a safe distance from the fields, Sparx." Antauri advised until the asteroid rock hit the Robot's head.
"Oops!" He yelped.
"It's gotta be in there somewhere." Chiro said, looking at the screen. "Got anything, Gibson?"
"There are just too many." He reported while looking at the radar. "I calculate the odds of locating a single rogue asteroid among the millions as…when astronomical."
"Or even…Asteroid-nomical!" Otto blurted as Gibson gave him annoyed look. "What? That's a word."
A few kilometers away, a familiar asteroid is heading their way.
"I'm picking up an anomaly! It's headed this direction!" Gibson alerted them.
"That's it, charge the weapons!" Chiro ordered.
"Deploying the Shoulder Cannon!" Tyran activate the weapons as the asteroid is floating away with the Robot pursuing it.
"Nova, don't let it get away!" He said.
"I'm all over it! Come on…" Nova tried lock on target at the asteroid until something is blocking her aim. "Whoa!" They were surprised as there was a large wrecked red ship.
"Holy Shuggazoom!" Chiro gasped.
"Was that a ship?" Otto asked.
"We're losing a fragment!" Gibson said, looking at the radar that the asteroid is floating further away.
"Never mind that now, let's check out this wreck or maybe survivors," Chiro exclaimed they should investigate the wrecked ship before going after the fragment.
They looked at the large hole in the ship as the flood light shined the wreckage.
"Last chance." Tyran said, reading the ship's name.
"There's something familiar about this ship but I don't see anybody." Sparx exclaimed, feeling that he seen it before.
"Bio-signs are negative." Antauri said, detecting no sign of pilot or the crew onboard of that ship. "We're too late."
Suddenly, The strange figure pops in front of the screen, startled Chiro and the monkey team.
"Uh guys, I think we may have found the survivor." Tyran noted as the figure is floating in space.

While exploring the outskirts of the city, I discovered an abandoned Super Robot. It was then my life was transformed by the mysterious Power Primate. The Robot Monkeys and a Cyborg were awakened and I, Chiro, became their leader. Our quest: save Shuggazoom City from the evils of the Skeleton King.

The strange figure is floating away from the Robot.
"I'm scanning bio-signs." Gibson detected a life-sign from the figure. "Whoever or whatever is in that suit is alive."
"Then we got bring it in." Tyran exclaimed.
"I've got him." Sparx activates the tractor beam to pull the strange figure in. "Bringing him in!"
A few minutes later, they bring him to the med-lab.
"The oxygen supply is nearly depleted utterly." Gibson noted before asking Otto. "Otto, remove the helmet."
Otto removed his helmet and sprouted his brain processor.
"Not your helmet!" He said, annoyed.
Sparx removed a figure's helmet, revealing a man who is unconscious.
"It's him! It's Mobius Quint!" He exclaimed that he knows him.
Suddenly, Mobius got up, surprising the Hyper Force before collapsing down.
"Captain Mobius Quint! I knew I know that ship!" Sparx said, seen that human before. "This guy is a legend! He's the best pilot in the galaxy!"
"The best?" Nova said.
"Well, best human anyway." He corrected himself.
"Hugh! It's tearing her up! It's-" Mobius yelled after waking up.
"Easy, Mr. Quint. You're okay." Chiro said, easing him. "You're aboard our Super Robot; we're the Hyper Robot. We're-"
"I know who you are. I heard stories." Mobius said, "Saved by the kid."
"Actually, SPRX-77 here did most of the work." Chiro mentioned.
"Yes, he was one of our finest pilots here." Tyran said.
"Call me Sparx." He said. "I heard you flew the fire caverns of Trabular-6, is that true?"
Mobius Quint looked at Sparx but he only hear him saying in monkey chattering.
"Whoa, Hey! I don't speak monkeys!" He waved off from Sparx's chattering. "Saved by a chimp, a red one." He walked away from him, who was sadden that Quint can't understand him. "I need to see my ship."
At the command center, Quint observed his wrecked ship while the monkey team is behind the controls.
"The 'Last Chance', what's left of her." He said. "She was my pride and joy for long time. I worked hard to pay off, keep her off. I run a good crew." He turn to Chiro and the others. "My crew?"
"We didn't find anyone else." Chiro answered.
"We only found you drifting near your ship." Tyran added. "And your crew is nowhere to be found."
"I guess it was too much to hope for." Quint sighed. "I still can't believe what happened." He thought back when he is with the crew.
(Flashback)
A few days ago, the 'Last Chance' is flying through space, piloted by Mobius Quint and his crew.
"We were halfway through the Murakami belt, making good time too."
They come across the familiar asteroid.
"When it came out of nowhere…"
They braced themselves when the asteroid hit through the hull of their ship.
"Ran us clear through…!"
They yelped when the asteroid hits them again, taking out the ship's engine.
"Took out the engine first…"
The asteroid destroys their life support.
"And wiped out a life support!"
It comes around in ramming speed.
"We were dead space, helpless!"
The crew yelled as Quint narrowed his eyes at the asteroid.
"I have to do something, so I went after it."
Mobius Quint left the deck, putting on his space suit and standing on ship, waiting for the asteroid to come closer.
When the asteroid is close enough, he fired his energy harpoon and sticks it on the asteroid. However, the asteroid is too large and is pulling him along as he tried to steer it away from his ship. Once he grab hold of the asteroid and standing on the, he lost his footing but managed to grab on to it before he floats away in space with the small piece of asteroid in his hand as it destroys his ship and the crew.
(Flashback end)
"That was the last time I saw my crew." He grimaced from the thought of the asteroid. "What space rock moves with the mind of its own with such hate, such evil?"
Chiro approaches the control and showed him the footage of Skeleton King's ship.
"Citadel of Bone, once the fortress of the Skeleton King." He answered. "We thought we destroyed it but the piece survived." Quint looked at the piece of the rock he grabbed. "We've received reports that it's been lurking in the field, terrorizing any ship that approaches it." Chiro said while Quint made a necklace with the piece.
"So you come back to finish what you started?" He said.
"We do but we still don't know why the piece from the Citadel of Bone would attack any ship that come across it." Tyran said as Quint puts it on his neck.
"So, care to lend a hand?" Chiro asked.
"Try and stop me." Quint replied.
Suddenly, they heard a noise, coming from the scanner.
"I have a lock on the fragment!" Gibson alerted them. "It's moving deeper into the asteroid field."
"It's out of range! We're gonna lose it!" Nova exclaimed as the piece is flying into the asteroid field.
"Not if we go in now." Sparx said, pressing the button.
"I'll fly your ship… and I'll stop that infernal rock." Quint said.
"Perhaps in a small agile craft but this is the Super Robot." Gibson pondered. "The odds of getting through unscathed are-"
"Asteroid-nomical!" Otto blurted out.
"I don't know about this." Chiro said, unsure.
"I'm with Quint. We might only get one chance." Sparx said.
"Alright, but you co-pilot, Sparx." He said.
The red monkey saluted as Quint walks to the control and taking a seat before activating it.
"One side, Red. Hang on to their tails, chimps!" He called.
"We are monkeys! Chimps don't have-" Gibson stated before cuts off when the Super Robot's jet booster is propelled faster. "TAILS!"
Quint and Sparx pilot the Robot and pursuing the fragment as they evade the incoming asteroid and passing through the asteroid loop hole.
"I thought Sparx's driving made me sick." Nova remarked.
"We're losing it! I need more power!" Quint said, looking back at them.
"More? He's already pushed the Robot beyond its performance limits!" Gibson stated, indigently.
"Quint, the neutron generator core is overheating!" Chiro said.
"You got a neutron generator in this thing?" Quint asked, looking at it. "Not bad."
Sparx pressed a few buttons, routing the neutron generator power to the jet booster propulsion to make it go faster. While it goes faster, the Robot was hit by few asteroids.
"Sparx, we're sustaining a significant damage to the Hyper Armor!" Antauri exclaimed.
"Got it covered! Eye beams activated!" Sparx said, activating the Robot's Eye beams and fires at the incoming asteroids.
"It's only a few dents, Red!" Quint pushed him aside. "Save the firepower for that thing!"
"Target locked!" Tyran said as they locked on the fragment.
"I got it! It's mine! Mine!" He pressed the button, firing at the fragment but it keeps evading its blast. "Now I finish what you should have- Hugh!" Quint gasped as the others did.
The piece that they're following, lead them to the Citadel of Bone, Skeleton King's ship. The pieces of the fragment attached to the ship as if they were converging with it.
"Citadel of Bone!" Otto said.
"It appears to be…restoring itself." Gibson noted.
"It must have tried to find its way back to the source when it attacks the ships." Tyran realized.
"The question is for what purpose?" Antauri pondered.
"Doesn't matter, we can't let it finish! Monkeys, mobilize!" Chiro declared.
Chiro and his team left the controls to Quint and ran to their battle stations by running to the chutes which sends them to their cockpits.
"Cardio Cycle Seven, go!" Tyran said.
"Foot Crusher Cruiser Six, Go!" Nova said.
"Foot Crusher Cruiser Five, Go!" Otto said.
"Fist Rocket Four, Go!" Gibson said.
"Fist Rocket Three, Go!" Sparx said.
"Brain Scrambler Pilot Two, Go!" Antauri said.
"Torso Tank Driver One, Go!" Chiro said.
"Super"

"Come on, kid! Blast it already!" Quint yelled.
"Charging the Lazertron Fury!" Chiro said, charging the full blast.
"Chiro, wait!" Gibson stopped him. "My scans register what appear to be human life signs, within the Citadel.
"What's the blue one jabbering about?" Quint inquired.
"Your crew, Quint! They're alive in there." Chiro said.
"It can't be, it's a trick, just do it!" He said.
"Negative! Power down weapons." The boy powering the weapons until they felt a rumbled.
"No…!" Quint yelled.
"It's-it's got us!" Sparx shouted.
The Super Robot was caught by Citadel of Bones and it pulls them in as the Skeleton King's ship has a mind of its own as the robot monkeys panicked while trying to break free from its grip.
"Your monkeys are freaking kid. Get us out of here!" He yelled.
"No, let it reel us in." Chiro smirked. "We got to go in for your crew anyway."
Quint left the controls while Chiro is speaking.
"We'll break free later. What do you say, Quint? Quint?" He spoked but no answered as he stood up.
A few second later, Chiro comes down to the command center.
"Where is he?!" He asked.
"Right here." They turned to see Quint, coming out of the room. "Getting my helmet. I don't know what came over me."
"You sure?" Tyran asked.
"Yeah, now let's go get my crew!" He declared.
Suddenly they felt the rumbled when the Robot shake until it stopped .
"What was that?!" Chiro demanded.
The Robot was being pulled inside the Citadel.
"The Citadel seems to be attempting to absorb the Super Robot!" Gibson reported. "Based upon our current sinking rate, we'll be assimilated in less than ten micro-cycles."
"There is no time to waste!" Antauri declared.
Quint and the Hyper Force opened the hatch and flew out to the opening of the Citadel.
"Doesn't this seem too easy?" Nova asked, having a bad feeling.
"Yeah, it's so quiet. Too quiet." Otto said, agreeing with her.
"But where's Skeleton King?" Tyran asked, looking around.
"Let's hope we don't run into him." She hoped.
Suddenly the Citadel ambushes them with stalagmite, barred them away.
"You just had to say that!" Gibson exclaimed.
"There must be a focal point at the center, compelling the other fragments to rejoin with it." Antauri noted.
"It's not right." Quint mumbled as the necklace glows. "This place is coming back together! It's just not right!"
As the Hyper Force continuing their search, Quint stood there, feeling that something is warping his mind like he is being corrupted while seeing the ooze reflected him.
"Auuugh! Ah!" He grunted but was back to himself when the Hyper Force looked back at him.
"Quint? You okay?" Chiro asked.
"Let's find my crew!" He said, moving on further to the Citadel of Bone.
Upon seeing the area filled with the pods, the group lowered themselves down before is picking up a life reading and approaching the pods where Quint's crew lies within it.
"Cardio cranial scans indicate they're weak but the Citadel appears to be keeping them alive!" Gibson explained.
"It is consuming their lifeforce." Antauri said.
"The Citadel is using their lifeforce to reconstruct itself." Tyran deduced.
"Bah! Evil!" Quint scoffed.
"We need to get them back to the Super Robot. Now!" Chiro ordered.
"Keep them in the pods." Antauri cautioned. "They'll be protected from the environment."
He, Nova, Gibson and Otto approached the pods and pull them up, carefully until they heard something around them and the stalagmites pops out, almost skewering them. Chiro punches them out while Tyran smashes them away.
Quint was caught and pinned against the wall until Antauri break the stalagmites with his Ghost Claws attack, freeing Quint.
"The monkey is a pretty handy kid." Quint remarked.
One of the stalagmites poked the pod that Nova and Otto carried, almost letting the air out.
"This thing is leaking!" Nova yelled.
"Make tracks, team!" Chiro said.
The Hyper Force flew out with the pods but Quint stayed behind when the fragment of the necklace glows and points at something below. Quint shows his hidden evil smirk and follows it.
The Hyper Force makes their way back to the Super Robot.
"I'm scanning movement everywhere." Gibson noted. "I dare say we've woken the hive!"
"Quint, cover our back!" Chiro said, turning his head around only to noticed Quint isn't with them.
"Where is Quint?" Sparx wondered.
"I'll get him. Sparx, meet with others back to the Robot." He ordered him. "Tyran, with me!"
"You hear the kid? Follow my lead!" He said, leading the others.
The tunnel popping out more stalagmites, blocking their way.
"Magna-Field Shield!" Sparx created a large magnet shield, protecting them.
"Swirling Destructo-Saw!" Otto destroys the incoming stalagmites.
"Cyber Vac Drill Blaster!" Gibson zaps more incoming stalagmite.
Meanwhile, Chiro and Tyran descended down to look for Quint until they land on the ground. They turned to see a Formless Hound, lunging at them.
They jumped up before it swiped them with its claws.
"Lightning Kick!" Chiro kicked it away until another blob creature appeared behind them. "Thunder Punch!" He punched it away with his powered fist.
More Formless Hounds appeared them, surrounding Chiro and Tyran.
"Needle Laser!" Tyran fired his needle-shaped laser at the Formless Hounds, reducing them to an ooze puddle.
"Come on, let's go find Quint!" Chiro said as they ran to the hallway entrance.
Outside of the Citadel, the monkey team blast a hole in the ship while Sparx shielded them. They gasped in shocked that the Super Robot is almost getting absorbed in the Citadel.
"Oh no!" Nova gasped.
The monkey team enter the Super Robot and quicken their pace before the Citadel absorb them, completely.
"Gibson, Nova, get the humans to sickbay!" Antauri ordered. "Sparx, Otto, prep for quick launch! We'll go get Chiro and Tyran!"
When Sparx pressed the button for launch, all system is failing and out of power.
"Oh no, don't tell me...? Now what?!" Sparx exclaimed.
"The neutron generator core, it's gone!" Otto said, coming out of generator room.
"Chiro, Tyran, we have a problem!" Antauri called, opening his commlink.
Chiro and Tyran ran to the throne room where Chiro and Skeleton King face off for the first time when they received contact from Antauri.
"Would be…ZZZzzzz…Neutron generato…ZZZzzzz…You must…ZZZzzzz…" They barely hear him saying but only hearing a static noise.
"Antauri, come in! Antauri?!" Chiro replied back but no answered.
"You're breaking up! Could you repeat that?" Tyran responded but no answered.
They reached the throne room when the something is rushed past them before they saw something.
"Quint?" Chiro called.
"Not Quint." Tyran said when they looked up to something familiar to them. "TV monster?!"
The TV monster's is showing a faint image of Mobius Quint while it attached to the Citadel with hose wire.
"What the…?" He gasped while Chiro looked on as it descended to the ground.
"Now I will have my vengeance!" Quint declared as he pole-vaulted his way to the TV monster and did the flying kick but it knocked him away.
Just as the TV monster is about to finish him, Chiro kicked it away while Tyran help him up.
"What are you doing, Quint? We have to get out of here!" He said.
"No, there's something that I must do!" Quint snarled, knocking him away and tore off his chest plate, revealing the neutron generator attached to him.
"What the..!" Tyran gasped as Quint looked at it, grinning, evilly.
"Chiro Spearo!" Chiro conjured the energy spear and throws it at the stalactites, causing it to bury the TV monsters. "Quint, let's go!"
"Too late, boy and cyborg!" He snarled. "I'm gonna do what you fail to do; I'm blowing this thing up for good!" The neutron generator turned red light as it is set to overload.
"Are you gone mad?! That's suicide!" Tyran argued.
"You'll destroy us all! This is crazy!" Chiro said.
"No, this is revenge!" He hissed.
The TV monster aimed at them with its blaster and fired at them, stunning them.
"My revenge!" Quint laughed, evilly.
Meanwhile in the Super Robot, Antauri and Nova opened the pod so the crew can breathe air in the med-lab.
"Chiro? Sparx to Chiro? Come in! Tyran?!" Sparx tried to contact them but they didn't answer back. "Forget Quint, just get back here safe, you two!" He hangs up the commlinks. "How could Quint let the Citadel take control of him? Can't he see what he's doing?"
"He has been blinded by the evil he seeks to destroy." Antauri deduced. "It may take another to open his eyes, lead him from the darkness."
"Or leave him in it?" He questioned before heading to the chute.
Back in the Citadel, Chiro and Tyran fended off against the TV monster.
"Thunder Punch!" Chiro punched it, knocking it back a bit.
"Sonar Laser!" Tyran fired the ring lasers at it, stunning it.
"Quint, forget your revenge!" He said, taking his arm around him. "Shut down the core!"
"It's too late! I've sent it in the critical overload!" Quint snarled, shoving him away. "Nothing had stop it now!"
"Don't be a fool, Quint!" Tyran snapped. "Can't you see that the Skeleton King's ship is affecting you?"
"No, it has to be and it's the only to get my revenge!" He said. "Now leave me alone!"
Chiro was grabbed by TV monster, who recovered, and throws him at Tyran.
"Quint!" Chiro groaned before Quint walked away.
The TV monster aimed its blaster at them, charging to full power until it was shot in the back. Coming down the opening is the Fist Rocket Three, blasting the TV monster away to the pit of ooze. Sparx jumps out of the ship after he lands it.
"Chiro! Tyran!" He said, helping them.
"We're okay." Chiro answered.
They heard a cackling and see Quint behind the rock, with overloaded neutron generator attached to him. Angered at his action, Sparx used his magnet power on Quint's necklace and brings him closer.
"You want to end it, huh?! Is that what you want?!" The red monkey questioned. "I can help you out."
"Sparx…!" Chiro said, pleading.
"It's not his fault. He wasn't aware that the Citadel is corrupting him." Tyran reasoned.
Knowing that the cyborg is right, Sparx powers down his magnet.
"Let's go." He said, looking down but upset.
"Not without him." Chiro said, approaching him and holding his hand out.
Quint pulls out his energy harpoon and throws it at Sparx, knocking him to the pillar, shocking Chiro and Tyran.
"I'm not leaving, Red!" He hissed. "Can't you see it has to end here?!"
The black ooze is slowly wrapping around his leg while the TV monster is rising from the pit of ooze with the image of Quint.
"I will have my revenge, I will!" Quint declared.
"I will have my revenge, I will!" The TV monster repeated.
"This isn't about revenge! This is about the Citadel taking control!" Chiro said. "Feeding off your anger."
"You're wrong!" Quint denied.
"You're wrong!" The TV monster repeated.
"Look at yourself; you've become what you hate!" He reasoned.
"He's right. Otherwise, you're no better than Skeleton King." Tyran added.
"No!" Quint yelled.
"No! No! No!..." The TV monster repeated as he looked back at it.
"Quint, let it go." He pleaded.
Quint looked at Chiro for a moment until he throws his energy harpoon at him, but he throws it at the TV monster, sending it back to the pit. Quint look at the necklace, realizing that it corrupted his anger and throws it at the pit.
"I've doomed us all." He said, ashamed.
"No, we've got one last chance." Chiro said, taking off the neutron generator and throws it at the ground. "Get us out of here, Sparx!"
They hopped in the Fist Rocket and preparing to take off.
"Fist Rocket Three, go!" Sparx declared.
He blast the wall apart, creating a hole to fly through but the tunnel is filled with tentacles.
"This isn't gonna be easy!" Chiro said, worried.
"Who wants it easy?" He said, rhetorically while evading them without getting grabbed by them.
"I got this one, Red." He said, pressing the laser cannon button.
Blasting their way out of the Citadel, they made it out alive and reattached to the Super Robot.
The group comes out of the chute and looked to see the monkey team is connecting the wires everywhere with Antauri, attached with the cable and Otto attached the plug to Chiro.
"Hey!" He said, surprised.
"Monkey Fu!" Otto said.
"Huh?" Chiro said, perplexed.
"Monkey Fu, now!" Gibson repeated, gestures at the controls.
"Oh!" He realized before concentrating his inner primate. "Monkey Fu!"
Chiro unleashed his primate energy, charging up the Robot's power.
"Activating auxiliary power!" Gibson said, pressing the button.
"Hang on to your tail, chimp!" Sparx shouted, piloting the Robot to free itself.
The neutron generator is flashing rapidly as it is about to explode any minute. The Super Robot finally freed and blast away from the explosive radius. The TV monster roses up from the pit and turned to see the neutron generator exploded, blowing it away and destroying the Citadel as the Hyper Force flies away from it.
"Hugh…" Chiro sighed before taking off the plug and see Quint enter the med-lab.
Quint see his crew is recovering in the tubes.
"They're gonna be okay." Chiro assured him as he, Tyran, and Sparx come in.
"Yeah, they will." He sighed. "I'm sorry about what I did and I thought that I could have my revenge by destroying it."
"It's not your fault, Quint." Tyran said. "Sometimes it's hard to control the darkness from within, but we need it for strength and the Citadel of Bone was corrupting your mind without you noticing it.
"I guess you're right, cyborg." Quint said before turning to them. "And thanks to your trained chimps, especially, uh…Sparx, is it?"
Sparx smiled that he remembered his name.
"Not bad, for a monkey." He complemented him. "The truth is I haven't seen space jockeying like that since I made a run through the fire cavern on Trabular-6. You ever hear that story?"
Sparx started holler in monkey noise, meaning that he wanted to hear that story.
The monkey team is gathering the cables while Antauri watches something on the monitor with serious look before Chiro and Tyran came by to see it.
"It begun again." Antauri said.
The monitor showed that the pieces from Citadel of Bone is reconstructing again after the neutron generator exploded.
"Looks like they're putting themselves back together." Tyran noted.
"It's come back together! How can this be?" Chiro questioned. "We destroyed it!"
"Evil will always exist, Chiro." Antauri told him. "Our job is to keep it from spreading."
"Especially within ourselves." He added.
Quint and the monkey team looked on at the reconstructed Skeleton King's ship as they blast off to space.
Little did they know, the piece from Quint's necklace attached to the throne chair and rosing up on it was Skeleton King himself on the skull wyvern. He laughed, evilly as his ship is coming back together until it is fully completed.
