Chapter 10: "The Medical Warrior who never Stops Experimentation"

= RAT/NEZUMI POV=

Outside the School Campus,

I wasn't supposed to be doing this but, thinking about a little girl in sick doesn't look comfortable.

I never felt this desperate to cut in class. I mean, I always hate class and using this excuse gives me a chance to relax. Her uncle requested that I take Inoka back home. She's been to their school clinic and for some reason, her nurse wants the little girl to take her home and rest. The Uncle was working far from home, which leaves me in charge of helping her, which I don't mind. There's a payment when I treat her but for some reason, I felt out of my character to take this job serious.

He also tells me to check on a nearby clinic to see if a competent nurse could help his niece and I allow it if I have time. It was only fifteen minutes left before we reached her home and just before I turned right, someone spotted us and attempted to raise her hand.

"Oh my, you seemed troubled young man. Perhaps you were looking for something." The woman wearing a lab coat approached us. She adjusted her glasses and eyed us from bottom to my face. "Is it a lover? A friend? Your favorite food and drink or-" She turned to the Little girl behind me and continued. "Or a medicine from your Little Sister?"

How many times people mistook us as siblings? I sighed back, feeling tired to speak from my mind. It's kinda tiring to correct them but I nodded, hoping she would leave us alone.

"I got it right." The woman smiled back as she pointed out. "Don't be afraid, I'm actually a Doctor, a Nurse and a Caregiver who provides medical attention for youngsters like you. If you have time, you can come with me and I'll help you get heal."

Saying this from the teenagers they met, she acts like a scammer and she's definitely suspicious. However, I get the feeling I saw this woman before. But where is it?

"Don't worry, I'm no one's suspicious. The Clinic is around a few minutes walk. You can go there if you want to, it's your choice." The Doctor suggested, waiting for my response. It took ten seconds to realize that if I refuse now, Inoka's uncle would scold me for not going to a nearby clinic but if I leave her, waiting for a whole night and watching the little girl's sickness can be troublesome. I may not be a doctor nor good at caring sick people but, maybe I could try to have faith.

It's now or never!

I nod back as I reluctantly agree to her terms, following her to the Clinic. She took a small detour and showed their building to us.

"Here we are, this is my Clinic. It's small but reliable. Come on in." The Doctor said.

That clinic looks familiar, it feels like I've been there with someone before. I just can't seem to remember their name, it must have been ten months since I last saw them. I hope I can see them again, unless they might have been absent like that Manager from the Cheese store. Before I stepped to that door, I felt cautious and activated my ability powers in secret.

[Hundredth Paths of Nezumi]

Observing my future route is a bit of a headache but thanks to that, I was able to avoid inevitable paths. One path showed this doctor sniped me with her serum and forced me to black out. Another part where she used her small knife and aimed for my neck, interrogating me by force. Even if I run away, this doctor will chase me even in public space.

What a pain… Guess this is what happens when I let my guard down.

I chose the easiest, survival route and followed it, going inside the clinic without resisting. It would be a pain to cause a ruckus when I had a little girl to carry. As I placed Inoka on a white bed, the Doctor told me to give her enough space to treat her and I accepted and waited out of the door.

While waiting, I sat on a nearby bench and wondered about this place. It felt like this Clinic hasn't been changed ever since that person took over and treated many patients. Speaking of that, I haven't seen more patients near the door, nor any staff workers and noises from each door. Maybe they're on the top floor working or, it could be possible that all of them have healed and gone back home.

The more I think about it, the more questions I get. I didn't think some strange things would happen if I got involved with inevitable moments. What a pain. I should get sleep if I keep wondering more.

= NO POV=

Inside the Small Patient Room,

Doctor Finnish has recently examined the little girl's status and it only takes five minutes to find their problem and solve them. As a professional doctor, she can treat patients in a quick approach. Once the little girl was comfortable in her sleep, she listed her symptoms and decided to tell the Rat Warrior about her medicines for the next night. Her problem was just a small headache and a burning fever on her head. All she needs is rest and a wet towel on her forehead to maintain her temperature.

The doctor wonders what on earth had led the little girl into this. She knows it's Winter but Nezumi informs before coming here that this little girl was sick for the first time ever since she lost her father. If she's resistant to cold fever and other painful diseases, just what on earth did she eat or drink from yesterday?

At the time she went over to Nezumi to explain the patient's condition, the Doctor found out he was asleep while sitting. Seeing the silver haired teen in this state means he's letting his guard down, it's also her chance to do this. The Doctor was eager to test this brat and experiment with him injecting a test serum and other drugs.

Just before she picked her serum and reached his arm, a strong hand gripped her wrist and stopped her. The Doctor turned her head and saw a Woman wearing a nurse uniform. Her smile is somehow twister and sinister to show how menacing their first greeting is.

"Well.. isn't this a good twist of fate to see you there, Nocturne." The nurse held her wrist tightly, forcing the Doctor warrior to release the syringe. "Go on. Do it and you'll face the consequences."

Her vicious and cold tone sounds serious of killing the Doctor if she tries to mess with the Rat warrior. It could be possible her acquaintance would kill her in secret without anyone noticing. Feeling worried, Doctor listened and gave up on fighting.

She raised her hands and eyed the woman, daring to face her. The room became intense as if they held a staring contest. However, the tension broke out when the Nurse sighed back and pointed at the Doctor.

"You never give up, do you, Nocturne?"

"The same as you, meddling Woman? How are you on the War Veteran Side? You were supposed to be dead along with those sacrifice." Doctor Finnish mocked her.

"How cruel, this is the first time in many years to see each other and now, you treat me like this? You haven't changed so much. The last time you were like this is when you're trying to win your teacher's approval, right?" The Nurse said, which the War Criminal nodded in reply.

"If so, this is no longer a mission for you." She sighed back and changed the topic. "But, I have a proposition. Why not, have a showdown? You and Me? Like old times."

"What are you playing at, Nameless Woman?" The Doctor Warrior stayed cautious as she kept her eyes on her.

"Everyone calls me Listener." The Nurse Warrior called out. "And as for my answer, I wanted to make a deal with you. If one of us succeeds, we'll do our secret favor that we take for granted. Like it or not, we'll obey that favor no matter what. How does that sound?"

"Not bad." The Doctor smirked back. To make a bargain with the War Veterans, she thinks winning this contest would help her team. "Explain the rules."

"Simple, whoever gets to cure many people will win. That's all." Listener explained with one phrase.

"That's it? Doctor Finnish tilted her head and confused.

"That's it!" Listener said proudly.

= NO POV=

At the Basement Clinic,

The battle between a Nurse warrior and Doctor warrior has started as they tend to find patients and heal them. The more they cure them, the bigger their points are. Listener used her bandages and medical supplies to close the patient's wounds off, reassuring them they will live more to satisfy their needs. Then, she goes for another patient and give them warm clothes, soft bed and medicine to give them a rest. While the Nurse treats them by providing good hospitality, the Doctor War Criminal used syringe to stop the patient's infections and diseases from spreading around their body.

One time, Doctor Finnish used anesthesia to let the patient's sleep while she cures them in a hard way. Some patients receive drugs and capsules to not suffer from their sickness. Other times, they take their blood, find their symptoms and used her medicine to cure them. A doctor's job may be formal and tedious but, she works in a professional way. She doesn't need to heard praises or worry about patients as long as all her efforts are working.

By the time they counted the number of patients, a sudden rumble shakes the room as they attempt to interrupt their battle. The warriors felt a stone falling down and Listener pushed the patient's bed, avoiding to get crush on time. The walls are getting crumbled and the ceilings cracked as few more stones started falling. This is bad, it's like the basement clinic was breaking. The injured people were panicked.

Doctor Finnish twitched her eyes, wondering why their battle always felt anti climatic. It happens in previous times and she upsets, thinking Listener might did that on purpose. However, the Doctor changed her perspective as she saw Listener getting cautious and angry at something. She followed her gaze and finds a Shadowy figure, hiding behind the window.

So, that's how it is. The culprit is the shadow warrior. She guessed the target is them. To get rid of the warriors, they wanted to destroy the clinic and letting innocent patients involve.

How despicable. Doctor Finnish may he a criminal but letting her own patients hurt is out of the line. In fact, she treated her patients as test subjects and healing them is like experimenting guinea pigs. She doesn't want to save those poor souls but to keep researching their symptoms. That's all for the doctor's motives.

And yet, someone dares to remove her experiments. Unbelievable. Those illusions must be eliminated. The Doctor keeps her motives to prevent patients from getting killed at the same time of trying to win the match.

Though, the War Criminal wasn't alone. The Nurse warrior, Listener, was holding disabled children and helped them evacuate from the fallen debris. Once all their patients are out of the room, Listener instructs Doctor Finnish to join with those patients as she decided to deal with those Shadow warriors.

"You're saying I should listen to you and run away like a coward?" The Doctor approached and stood beside her. "Absolutely not! I still have to deal with them for making a mess with my team."

The Shadow warrior was trying to escape, they tend to stomp the rooftop and used their ability to destroy the clinic inside out. However, their actions got paused when two warriors jumped on the top and stop them.

"War Criminal of Pisces, Cures and Kills, Doctor Finnish!"

"War Veteran of Dog, Calculate and Kills, Listener!"

"Sixth Warrior of the Horse clan, Kill with Rumbles, _"

The battle between the Shadow warrior and two allied warriors has commenced. They have each weapon ready as Doctor Finnish used her syringe to stop their rumbles again while the Shadow warrior used their Knuckle Brass and cracked the building slowly, causing the medical warriors to get separated.

The nurse warrior, Listener, noticed the enemy smashing the ground more and more as if their focus was the ceiling of the top room instead of them. She eventually realised where that room he's trying to destroy.

"Oh no you don't!" Listener grabbed her whip and slashed at the shadow warrior, who alerted their charge and dodge them. She took the position and defended that area. She figured the Shadow warrior was trying to destroy the room under the ceiling. That room is currently where Nezumi and his adopted little sister, Inoka stayed. It seems like they're targeting him as usual.

"Now I get it. Looks like you're aiming for the Rat warrior, huh? You think of us as worthless opponents and you were heading for the weak. Listener, your friend can't catch his break from getting hunted by them." Doctor Finnish chuckles. Before Listener complained to her, the doctor continued with a smirk. "Since you're after our target, I suppose I don't have much of a choice but to end your life once and for all."

She picks her syringe and injects her arm, forcing her to kneel down and embrace the pain from the inside. Listener felt worried as she came to her but the Doctor stood up and was empowered by the One Man power. The side effects came well as her arm strength increased, her mind stabilised as she focused on defeating the shadow warrior.

Listener came up to realise the War Criminal is on her side. If she's going all out to fight this mysterious warrior, then, the War Veteran shall do the same. She picked a medicine capsule and swallowed it, causing her legs to make it lighter and faster to move in a limited time.

"Well then, let's fight till the bitter end!" The two medical warriors said at the same time, charging at the Shadow warrior to attack.

= RAT/NEZUMI POV=

Later On,

Swords and Machetes. Giant forks and machine guns. Flamethrower and Icethrowers.

Countless weapons in the darkness.

What's going on? All I could see was pure black void and war weapons without its users. Speaking of users, does anyone use them? How can I dream about them? And who are they?

By the time I find out I was laid with countless different swords and a pair of machete on my side, I felt a disturbing presence behind me,

Red eyes with murderous bloodlust intent, wanting to befriend me by killing me. Before I turned back with a strong fear,

I blinked thrice and woke up, looking at the ceiling. I held my breath and stayed calm.

"Where am I?"

"Nezu-nii!" A little girl called me, hugging my shoulders warmly. I turned to her attention and found out she's much more energetic than before. "Check it out, My body can move fast! It's amazing!""

"What happened?" I asked. When I looked around, I noticed the female Doctor was beside us, waiting for us. She gave us a warm smile and pat at Inoka's

"You were sleeping in the waiting room while I tried to recover her. Seems the medicine cured her well."

"Thank you, Miss Doctor!" Inoka bowed down and showed her gratitude. She turned to Nezumi and gave him an envelope. "That's right, the Nurse Lady came by and gave you this. I don't understand about it but maybe you can, Nezu-nii"

"I appreciate that, but please don't sneak in other people's message next time. It's privacy." Nezumi lectured her while getting the envelope.

"Okay." Inoka said cheerfully. "When we get back, I'm gonna tell my Uncle about this place. And then, we can visit there when I'm sick again."

"Don't. I've had enough of walking all the way here." Nezumi sighed back as he rubbed his head, not wanting to deal with this mess.

"Bleh. You don't make me."

= NO POV=

At the Basement Clinic,

As the Rat warrior and the little girl left the clinic, the patients went to bed. Under the moonlight, the two warriors have met once again.

"This is your favor, now it's my turn." The Doctor said as she glanced at her fellow acquaintance, who felt relaxed for her conditions.

"Sure, if you want to know everything, I'll just send you my document and we'll call it fair, right?" Listener smiled back.

"Not so fast, we still have to settle our score with. I'm not done with that match, I wanted another showdown." Doctor Finnish said.

"How about the end of the week? I still need to treat my patients more." Listener replied in her reasonable thoughts, which irritated the Doctor.

"Hmph, you haven't changed much, do you, Listener. I can see why Dotsuku's still doting you with your silly attitude." She mocked her.

"Oh, you flatter me, Nocturne. In fact, Dotsuku has been treating you as his favorite disciple because you're good at poison and medicines. Why would you think he wouldn't keep his goldfish in check?" Listener reminded of their past.

"Is that a threat, lower rank worker?" Doctor Finnish asked in her cold tone.

"I believe so, Cold Hearted fish. Well then, if you insist on a rematch, how about you wait at the end of the week? I'll give you my contact details" Listener suggested as she lent a hand and offered for a shake.

"Let's hope we settle this in an easy way." The Doctor warrior accepted her hand along with a formal nod.

"Or a Hard way, I guess." Listener added as she shook their hands and accepted their agreement.

=Rounder POV=

The War Veterans Journal Part 2,

Dueducuple doesn't mind having an audience as long as they watch their back. The moment he snapped his finger, everyone got teleport to a mysterious facility. A basement laboratory that has no connections to the outside world. If they hadn't got a light sky water container below, this room would've turned darker.

"Young warrior, there is one rule where you take your trial" Dueducuple said as Nezumi gulped, hoping it's not inevitable to him. The Wishmaker pointed at the whirlpool water in the middle of that giant container. "The first trial is to jump at that mysterious lagoon."

"You're serious? Nezumi can't swim. What does going to that water have to do with this trial?" Rounder questioned.

"No need to worry. As you can see, this pure water allows every organic beings to breathe any longer. It's a valuable test for him. He can survive inside." Dueducuple explained. Rounder knew this was a valuable test. He thought there were some rules and tricks to get adjust on their challenge. It's like the Wishmaker treats Nezumi like a Labrat on his style of taking trials and it seems dangerous to him.

What makes everyone surprised next is when the Wishmaker is walking to the sky as if he stepped those invisible stairs until he reached the door. "If there's any problem, you can call me at the top. I'll also be coming back soon and inform you once I'm ready for everything. Well then, Rat Warrior Nezumi, let the games begin."

He took a final bow before he disappeared. Eleventh sighed as he surprisingly started their conversation. "He just left again. That guy never changed."

This is awkward. The three of them are alone and Rounder feels if they're helping him, Nezumi would get disqualified. But that's not all, he's still worried about the teen's well-being, wondering if he could pass this test.

"Nezumi, that game might be risky but, you gotta remember why you're here. Your goal-"

"It's okay Rounder-niisan, I'm aware." He turned to the War Veterans and earned a small smile. "If it wasn't for you two, I wouldn't be brave enough to convince that old man. Thank you for giving me courage."

"Uumm.. I supposed we should try to lend you a hand." Rounder rubbed his head, trying to resist his compliments. He thought up another idea and corrected them. "You know, that Wishmaker didn't say you'll face the trial alone, right? Maybe we could work it out and solve it together. What do you say?"

Nezumi didn't said a word but he turned away and nodded back, which means that he accept his suggestions. Rounder also added as he pat the teenager's back.

"It settles then. Nezumi, as much as I like to encourage you, don't forget, you're doing this for yourself, right? You don't need to tell us right now but promise us." Nezumi turned to him and eyed him seriously. "Promise you won't forget us. Promise that you will never die and remember that someone, I mean, everyone will wait for you to come home. So go out there and don't die!"

Hearing from a coworker veteran sounds touching to him and yet, Nezumi is never eager to hear those words. It gave him courage and risks. He never wanted to die in the first place but having a promise sounds like death flags to him. Thinking about the negative stuff suddenly makes him tired.

"I'll… I'll consider it." he replied with a whispering tone.

"Enough of that.. what's taking that referee so long?" The Eleventh lost his patience. It's odd that the referee is not watching them.

While giving more time, Nezumi decided to activate his ability and find their survival route.

[Hundredth Path of- _

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." A voice calls upon his head, stopping his ability and causing distraction. It was strange that Nezumi felt that voice sounded familiar.

Just before he thought up, everyone felt an earthquake coming from the wall. At the same time, there was an uproar as if a monster appeared from nowhere. Rounder and Eleventh prepared with their fighting pose as the banging noises came from the front. It destroyed the wall, breaking with one foot and their eyes are on them.

"Found you." Nezumi heard that voice again but it sounded like two or three people said at the same time. He eyed the monster who looked at him as if was a prey.

A giant cat beast with a size that reaches the ceiling and their claws are sharp as an iron teel. They charged at first, raising their claws and aiming for Nezumi's body but Eleventh punched their legs and lost their balance. Being distracted was a pain and the Cat monster turned their eyes on another intrusion.

"Don't get the wrong idea. If the brat dies, I'll be dead as well." Eleventh aimed at their chest and pushed the monster away from their range. No matter how big and threatening they are, this monster is very slow and defenseless. Their intimidation doesn't affect Eleventh.

Rounder knew playing heroic is not Eleventh's thing but he knows his stubbornness won't let the champions kill each other. He smirked back, thinking that Eleventh's forbidden contract of not killing the War Veterans and the Rat warrior was quite effective. If they finish this fight, Rounder would thank his friend, Whisper for all the trouble of using her ability on him.

On the way of fighting back, Rounder noticed that Nezumi knelt down and held his head as if he got an injury. That's weird. Eleventh defended him from the monster and yet, Nezumi looks suffer as he took a step back. This isn't good, if he doesn't move, the cat beast will end his life.

Growing concerned, Rounder approaches him but is stopped by the Cat monster as they swing their claws. Luckily, Rounder felt their instinct and avoided that attack. It seems they want to fight War Veterans before going to the Rat warrior.

Fine, if Kitty wants to fight, so be it. In the name of the War Veteran from the Ox clan, I will defeat this beast no matter what.

"War Veteran of the Ox clan, Trust and Kill, Rounder!"

"War Veteran of the Boar clan, Kill Bountifully, Eleventh!"

The moment they announce their name, Rounder picks his knives and throws them to the Cat warrior, earning their shriek. They grew mad as they violently tore the metal fences down and charge back. Rounder didn't hesitate as he used his guns and knives to drive them out. But, the Cat monster's body can deflect those bullets as they passed my attacks and whip their tail at him.

Rounder couldn't dodge as their attacks are faster and unpredictable, he forced to defend his chest and the Cat monster throws him, closer to the wall. He landed next the Eleventh, who's ready to fight. Not only that but he noticed the young warrior Nezumi in the corner, looking helpless and in pain. He's still hasn't moved yet and neither his trial started.

But wait a minute… Rounder thought about the Wishmaker leaving them was odd and he realized his words were meaningful.

"Let the games begin." That'a what the Old man told them before he left. In other words, the game has already started and their opponent is that Cat monster blocking that blue lagoon.

"Nezumi, you need to clear the game and survive! You've already noticed, right? The game has just begun and you're fighting over it!" Rounder raised his fist and called him, "You know, whether it's the right thing or not, you need to make your mind and find a choice that you wom't regret!"

Rounder attempts to reach the helpless teen until the Cat monster blocks their way and attack him. Eleventh tried to find their openings and beat him but the monster immediately avoid it and kicked them out.

Now that the warriors got their eyes on them, the beast didn't notice their prey has already stood up and moving away from the battle.

Whenever Nezumi glanced at the monster, his headache goes off for fifteen seconds. He wonders if the voice from his mind was them, maybe he could use his method to finish this game. In fact, Rounder bought his time to find a way to deal with this problem but, now that he understands, it's time to finish where he started. As the warriors and the beast clashed each other, Nezumi stood up and ran towards the mysterious lagoon.

On their way, the Giant beast alerts a mere presence passing through them and Nezumi has no time to check behind as the monster tries to catch him. Without hesitate, the young warrior immediately jumps through the fence and holds his breathe, falling to the Blue Lagoon.

The Cat Monster proceed to join the fall but, as soon as they collide with water, they suddenly got dissolved from head to their tail, shrieking in pain that they won't reach their prey. Eleventh and Rounder saw that monster left without remainings.

"They say Cats hate waters, it could probably mean..." Eleventh looked down at the Blue Lagoon that can no longer shows their whirlpool. "That Brat eliminate them, meaning he passed his trial"

"You hear that, Nezumi. You won! That Cat is dead, you can come out now." Rounder said, waiting for the teen to swim back up. However, he didn't show up.

That's weird, the Wishmaker told them the Lagoon is an extraordinary water that allows anyone to breathe unlimited hours. Even if he can't swim, Rounder believes Nezumi can float around when there's no danger. But if he thinks about it, the more he dive under the lagoon, the more he concerned for his health.

"He's not coming back. What's going on?" Eleventh questioned. Rounder had the same question, it's not like Nezumi was playing games or scared them. He's a teen who doesn't care everything.

Rounder knows something's going on. It's like his trial is not over and the Wishmaker's game.. An answer brought up his mind as he felt the puzzle pieces came together.

Before he explains to Eleventh, there was a rumble, shaking in the area and the warriors almost lost their balance. It felt like the end is near as more banging noises spread around their field.

"Follow me! We're going to jump now!" Rounder held his breathe and jumps to the Lagoon, followed by the Eleventh. The warriors still felt the shaking underneath the water as they dive straight towards a certain light.

The Wishmaker's advice was true as they can breathe underwater. Rounder hopes he can find Nezumi as he and Eleventh reach below. The moment they touched the light, they suddenly got swam to another place, where the water's temperature turned cold. The underwater's colour looks different and they felt suffocate, requiring oxygen to breathe.

Rounder and Eleventh immediately swam back up, trying hold their mouth and the time they reached to the surface, a certain someone was waiting for them with towel cloth in their hands.

"Dealer? What's the meaning of this?" Rounder asked.

"Same goes for you two. Just what are you fools doing in my private pool?" Before he continued, Dealer suddenly have a thought of yesterday's last meeting with the Silver haired boy and he was able to comprehend their current situation. "Wait a second, I heard that Silver went... you guys..."

"I see know. So you know everything." Rounder said, folding his arms as he got everything in his mind. The answers to why he's calm and why they were brought here. "You already know Nezumi was making a deal with the Wishmaker, right?"

The Blue Lagoon that Rounder and Eleventh swam was a magical teleporation road that leaves to somewhere safe. They would've guessed Nezumi is there but with Dealer now, they felt like the Wishmaker planned to take them there and leave the young warrior behind. Besides, Rounder knew that the Manager of the Cheese Store, Dealer, is one of the traitorous member of the Juuni Taisen Organisation and he predicted he worked along with the Wishmaker to lure them out.

"I supposed the secret's out. And sure, he made that choice. So, what about it?" Dealer said as if he doesn't care.

"Then, where is he?" Eleventh suddenly gripped Dealer's collar and threatened him. As much as Rounder knows this old guy is heartless to care for a young warrior, he knew his line was on the line. Luckily, Dealer doesn't mind as he's willing to cooperate with them.

"Somewhere where you can't find him. Even the organisation's navigation system won't find him."

"You mean to say, he's safe?" Rounder widened his eyes and pointed out.

"Probably. Right now, you don't need to worry about him. Check out Eleventh over here, he hasn't died yet. So I presume the Wishmaker kept him safe from the world.. for now." Dealer wasn't lying.

Rounder knew if Nezumi would've died, Eleventh would be killed as well. They share the same fate because of the Contract ability. He also felt even if he memorised and find the same location, they wouldn't take him there. The Strongest and dangerous person was in charge and with the three of them, there's nothing they can do to convince him again.

"In other words, he ditched us." Eleventh clicked his tongue, still irritated for the results.

"Funny words you got there Eleventh. But I'm sure he has his reasons." Eleventh said in his relaxing tone. "Tell everyone that Silver's existence won't come back, but keep it a secret that he's alive and well. There's nothing to worry about him as long as we stay cool."

"Tch.. that coward just left his problem to us. What a joke." Eleventh turned to Rounder and muttered, "This is all your fault, if you would've got this chance and save him, we would've escape from this danger we're facing."

"Oh please, we would've ditch him long ago if you stop his Rite of Passing!" Rounder objected, turning away from his ally. "Thanks to that, he's being targeted by the World, and then, a certain Mastermind with their stupid Shadows are trying to kill us and now, we can't stop the war if we're fighting ourselves! Do you realized what would've happened if you hadn't inform Nezumi about that rite?"

"If I just ignore him, those guys will kill me!" Eleventh answered.

"Oh, so you're scared of the Juuni Taisen Organisation , huh?" Rounder mocked him. He stood up and glared him seriously. "Let me tell you, we're terrified of getting killed by them and that's why we, War Veterans are fighting against them! If you're trying to be a scaredy-pig, I bet you're weaker than Nezumi! That kid has been fighting those crooks and avoided his fate, he's better than you are now! If you're regretting this path of rebellion, I'd say we settle our score here and now!"

Before the warriors commence their fight, Dealer attempted to stop them as he stood in the middle and force them to draw his attention. "Now now fellow veterans, you musn't fight in my home. I know you have each other's throat but-" Dealer's presence started to become intimidating as he gave them dagger eyes like a snake catching his prey. Even Rounder and Eleventh's body were shocked as they felt death was nearby. "Dare to make a mess of my pool and you're done. I might have tossed you both at the volcano and tell Silver you guys were in a war in shameful death."

Rounder and Eleventh gulped as his menacing aura became stronger, they didn't notice they got their knees down, breaking their sweat while staring at the man with a suit. They almost forgot Dealer is one of the member of the organisation and the fact they're on the side is because of Nezumi. If they pissed him off, it's game over for them. And thanks to their helpless thought, Dealer changed his mood back as he stopped his intimidation presence, making the warriors get their fresh air.

"As I was saying, Dueducuple promised me he'll keep the Twelfth Champion safe from both sides. No one will get suspicious of his actions since that guy can hide his fascade." Dealer can tell they haven't convinced. So, he decided to reveal his secrets and continued, "Besides, Nezumi told me about his plan from then on and I'm definitely knew it will grant of all your wishes."

"Dealer.. I have a question." Rounder bravely asked the strongest, who stretched his arms and felt his cheerful mood returns.

"What is it?"

"If you know Nezumi is alive, do you think he'll come back? The Wishmaker is still out there and I bet his trials won't be easier to solve for him."

"Now that is a good question. We know the Wishmaker's trial is very unpredictable and I don't know anyone's opinion but, I'm sure Nezumi can do it." Dealer answered in a hopeful way. Rounder noticed he was sincerely honest as he listened to his answers more.

"I know that boy since he was a kid and I still believe, he can pull it off. We don't know when, where but, I definitely have faith he'll come back." He smirked , feeling proud to think the Silver haired teenager he observed was destined to overcome anything.
