Chapter 17: Double Love
Mina is on the phone with Nicole wanting to set up a double date allowing Nicole to hang out with her crush Shard. "Oh, we are doing this?" Nicole asked.
"Yep, we will. I think you two have a good shot but you need a little push," Mina said as Nicole felt herself heating up making her cheeks glow red.
"It would be nice to go out on a date with him. You and Sonic can support me without me looking like an idiot," Nicole said feeling embarrassed at the thought.
"Oh, you will be fine," Mina said.
'Alright, I will call Shard to set this date for us. Where are we going to hang out?" Nicole asked.
"I know this place, a karaoke/restaurant called Golden House in Station Square. I will set it up, it will be on Wednesday in a few days from now," Mina said.
"I see, well I will get ready," Nicole said as she heard Cosmo behind her.
"Morning Nicole," Cosmo said as the AI Lynx smiled at her.
"Morning Cosmo, how are you doing since we've been doing tests?" she asked.
'I am fine, did you find anything worth anything?" Cosmo asked.
"Yes I did, you Seedlings are very interesting. You have very similar humanoid figures to Humans, Mobians, and Demi-Humans," Nicole said as Cosmo looked confused by the term Demi-Human.
"What is that Demi-Human?" she asked.
"Oh, it's a human who has animal traits like furry ears or a tail. It happens when Mobian and Human interbred with each other," Nicole said.
"I see, people seem open-minded about love on this planet," Cosmo said.
'Yes as long as they are sentient and think for themselves. People can love who they can but some people think otherwise," Nicole said.
"I heard from Tails, you were crushing on Shard," Cosmo said as Nicole's cheeks got rosy.
"Well yes, he is a very nice guy," Nicole said.
"When did you meet him?" she asked.
"Just recently, he seems sweet enough," Nicole said.
"Well, I heard he was the first Metal Sonic Eggman made so long ago but he seems pretty nice when he help fight against the Metarex," Cosmo said as she remembered everyone joining her into space to go fight her father and his followers.
"Yes and he is doing a great job helping keep peace in the world to redeem himself from harming others in the past," Nicole said.
"I see, well the more friends the better," Cosmo said.
"Indeed, thanks for the talk. I need to get ready for my date," Nicole said.
"Of course," Cosmo said as she moved away with Nicole holding onto her chest.
"Okay, I can do this," Nicole said as she goes over to check her database for the best outfit for her upcoming date.
Elsewhere Mina is shopping with Team Rose minus Gemerl at the local mall to be within a clothing shop. Cream is looking over a pretty dress with Sticks looking at it with disgust. "Damn, this thing is so girly. Not my style," Sticks said as Cream disagreed with this.
"I think it's quite lovely and the lace is so cute," Cream said as Mina agreed.
"I know right," Mina said as she took a purple dress which is made of fine silk for she fawned over it. "This is so pretty," she said as Stick brushed that off.
"Gee, just more corporate garbage to push on little girls," Sticks said as Mina taps her finger onto her forehead.
"Or I like this for real. Did you ever think of that Sticks," Mina said as Sticks feels uncomfortable about this.
"Whatever, I going to get some fabric to make my clothing," Sticks said as she goes over to get some patches.
"Yeah Sticks likes to make her stuff from her own hands. You know she made all her arrows from nature," Amy said.
"Oh really?" Mina asked as Sticks looks proud of herself.
"Technology can bite but Gemerl is cool I guess," Sticks remembers Gemerl being very gentle with her as they became friends. "Anyway, I made these EMP arrows using those weird crystals I found in a cave. It emits this weird pulse that knocks out robots or other electronic systems. It's pretty handy," Sticks said.
"Yes, Sticks is very resourceful being able to live in the woods for most of her life. Now I am trying to domestic her," Amy said as Sticks scuffs off this.
"And failing at it," Sticks said as Amy has a stern look on her face.
"Look Sticks, you have to adapt to your new way of life. You are not living in the woods anymore," Amy said as Sticks barks at this.
"You guys are such characters," she said trying to hold back her laughter at this silly moment.
"So, Tiara. What is your story?" Mina asked.
"Oh well I used to be part of my kingdom but due to a natural disaster it's in ruins now," Tiara said as Mina feels sorry for even asking about it.
"Oh, I am sorry about that," Mina said.
"It's okay, it's not like it happened recently. It was a long time ago, It doesn't need a princess like that anymore," Tiara said as she sees the Songoose having a big look of awe on her face.
"Wait, you are a princess?" Mina asked as Tiara nods her head.
"Yes my father Gazebo Boobowski was the king of my kingdom but he was killed during the disaster. I was forced to live with my aunt in Central City," Tiara said.
"I see, seems pretty rough," Mina said as Tiara laughs at this.
"Yeah, vast understatement but I am happy with life now. I can help Team Rose and become a hero to put my training by my aunt to good use," Tiara said as Mina remembers the tall cat Mobian wielding ice powers a while back.
"Speaking of your training, your ice powers are so cool. Where did they come from?" Mina asked.
"Oh, I was born with it but I have no idea why I have them in the first place. My father and Aunt tried to find the answers but nothing came up," Tiara holds up her hand to summon a snowflake hovering above her palm. "That doesn't matter now, I have the power to help you all stop Naugus and his plans for our world," Tiara said.
"Wow, you kind of remind me of Blaze," Mina said as Tiara looks confused by that name.
"Who is that?" she asked.
"She is a cat princess like you but she wields fire powers. Two cat princesses wielding elemental powers, that is very interesting," Mina said as Tiara laughs at this.
"I bet we are twins or something," Tiara joked.
"Oh, I bet like interdimensional stuff," Mina said as she grabs a pair of panties which were silky blue. "These are pretty sexy, I would grab these," Mina said as she stretched them. Amy getting a bit jealous for those panties look too big for her but perfect for Mina's curvaceous butt and wide hips
"Damn, you must have a Triple B to fit into those?" Amy asked as Mina was confused by this wording.
"Oh, that sounds like a weird bra size," Mina said.
"Oh no, it means Big Bubble Booty," Amy said as Mina sighs at her bad joke.
"Shut it, Amy," Mina said lightly as Amy giggled at this.
"The way Sonic looks at you, he likes your Triple B Mina," Amy teases her as Mina blushes from them as Sonic can't get enough of her rear along with other appealing features.
"Yep, he can't get enough of me," Mina said as the girls went through the clothing shop to grab their clothes and underwear.
Several hours have passed with Sonic looking quite nice with his quills looking pretty smooth to wait for Shard and Nicole to show up. He hears the doorbell ringing go opens the door to see the two robot duo in front of him.
"Hey Sonic, what's shaking?" Shard asked as Sonic found it quite funny that this robot used to be his worst enemy being the original Metal Sonic who originally kidnap Amy and became Metal Overlord not too long ago. Now he has redeemed himself and become a GUN agent to protect the world along with helping Sonic and the others fight threats like the Metarex, Black Arms, and Nocturnus Clan along with Dr. Eggman.
"Hey there Shard, been doing good," Sonic said as he looks over at Nicole who is wearing a simple blue dress fitting her slender frame. "Looking good Nicole," he said.
"Thank you, I wanted to look nice today for our date," Nicole sounded pretty nervous.
"By the way, you look pretty nice in that," Shard said as Nicole glowed in the face.
"Thank you so much, I wanted to be good for you," Nicole said as Shard nods his head to give her a thumbs up.
"You succeeded in that," Shard was bashful to rub the back of his head.
"Where is Mina?" Nicole asked.
"She should be coming up soon," Sonic said as Mina goes into the living room with Sonic seeing his girlfriend looking super pretty with her outfit fitting her short curvaceous figure. "Damn Mina, you are looking great," Sonic said being impressed to see Mina is wearing a purple tank top, a black knee-length skirt, and white sneakers with her purple hair styled quite nicely.
"Thank Baby, you are looking cute too," Mina said as she commented on his quills and how nice they look. "Hey Nicole," Mina said looking pretty happy to see her.
"Hey Mina, you are looking pretty fine in that outfit," Nicole commented.
"Thank you, how are you doing Shard?" Mina asked.
"Doing okay, I am excited about this place," Shard said.
"It's a cool place, follow me," Mina said as they rushed ahead to the train station to head for the entertainment center.
They swiftly got there as they saw a large Karaoke bar called Golden House. "Wow, this is quite nice," Sonic said.
"I can ditto those feelings," Shard said as they spot the bar entrance as they go inside to hear the blazing music, the smell of good food, and a dance stage in the middle where everyone can showcase their skills at the karaoke machine.
"Wow, this place is quite lively," Nicole said.
"Sure, it's exciting in here. Girls, let us get our seats," Sonic said as they sat in a booth with the waitresses taking orders.
"We are going to look around. We will be right back," Shard said as the two boys looked around the place leaving the two girls alone.
"Wow, this place is something else," Nicole commented.
"I can pick them out or what," Mina said as Mina felt proud of herself.
"So how are things going?" Nicole asked.
"Can't be better, we managed to blow up Dr. Starline and the Deadly Six plans like morons while taking the data under their noses. It feels good to best the bad guys," Mina said as Nicole looked over the data on a holoscreen she made from her palm.
"Yes, you found some interesting data in those ruins. The Onyx Horde is a powerful weapon that was never deployed in the past but now this evil wizard wants to find this," Nicole said.
'I know, we got to stop him. No matter what," Mina said as Nicole giggled at this. "What's so funny?" Mina asked.
"Tails said you had changed. You were a shy young lady and now you are at the forefront of the fight against evil side by side with the world's biggest hero," Nicole said as Mina sported a blush feeling humbled by her words.
"It's like a dream I always wanted for myself. Being with Sonic is the happiest I have ever been," Mina said as Nicole placed her hand on her shoulder.
"Sorry about your mental abuse with Ash," Nicole showed sympathy for her.
"It's okay, I am done with that guy a long time ago. He is with Honey the Cat who is my rival in music to spite me after I dumped him," Mina said.
"That is awful Mina," Nicole said.
"But Sonic managed to get me back on my path and got me to become the Songoose I am today," Mina said.
"I see, it must be fate you two met under that roof over 6 years ago. What happened?" Nicole asked.
"Well, he came as promised and I sang a song in the café. He was awestruck by my singing and said my voice was dynamite. After that, we started dating and never looked back," Mina said as she placed her hand on her chest to feel her heart fluttering from that very moment etched within her mind and heart making her the happiest girl in the world.
"That's so sweet, he has fallen in love with you over your voice," Nicole said.
"Yes he did, he said my voice was calming to his soul. I am grateful for that," Mina said.
"Seems like this transfers to your combat performance. You two can do quite amazing things," Nicole said as she looked over all the data of their previous adventures.
"We are one hell of a team in combat and life," Mina said as Nicole felt jealous of their connection.
"I wish I had that," Nicole said as Mina patted her on the back.
"You will if you and Shard work on it," Mina said showing her a bright smile. "If you need anything, just call me and I will support you," Mina said as she hugged Nicole.
"Thank you, Mina. I will remember that," Nicole said as they saw the two guys coming back to sit back with the girls.
"Sorry girls, Sonic and I were checking something out," Shard said.
"That is okay, we were having a little girl talk," Nicole said as the two girls were giggling for Sonic and Shard looked on with confusion.
"I am happy Mina is befriending Nicole," Sonic said.
"Indeed, you should get your orders," Shard said as they got their meals for them enjoying the tasty food. Mina is eating a plate of mozzarella sticks to enjoy the gooey cheese inside.
"Oh man, this is good," Mina said as Nicole looked on with jealousy not being able to eat due to her robotic nature.
"Gee, I wish I could get to eat food," Nicole said.
"Well Tails can get you a biofuel module to convert food matter into energy," Shard said.
"I would check with Tails for that. You have quite the appetite, Mina," Nicole said.
"Yeah Mina has a black hole for a stomach," Sonic joked.
"Hey; I like eating good food, what's wrong with that besides I run a lot so I burn it off anyway," Mina said to drink down her citrus juice. "Oh, that hits the spot," she said.
"This place is quite nice," Shard said as he spotted games, screens with sports on them, and people looking bad while singing on the karaoke machine.
"Yeah, it's pretty nice. You nailed the location, Mina," Sonic said.
"Yeah I did," Mina said as Shard looked at the screen to see the news of Breezie appearing to interview with the press.
"That woman," Shard said as he gave the screen a nasty look. "I and the others are seeking out information about her exploiting the Northern Oceans but we have no leads on it. Using her ships to poison the waters and overfishing in those oceans. It's disgusting, to be honest. Sonic and Mina, we can use your help along with GUN Task Force X and Team Dark when the time," Shard said.
"No problem, just say the word," Sonic said.
"Oh yeah, I hear Shadow and Rouge are together now," Mina said as Sonic laughed at this.
"About time, Shadow keeps his emotions close but you can tell he deeply cares about Rouge," Sonic said.
"Yeah Rouge did change since the Ark incident," Mina said as she remembered her first Adventure along with Sonic and Co. fighting Eggman, Rouge, and Shadow over 5 years ago.
"Yep, things seem so simple back then and things get more complex," Sonic said.
"Indeed, I used to want to kill you and now I am here in this bar. Chilling with you guys," Shard said as Sonic laughed at this.
"Yep, strange times," Sonic said as the karaoke machine was empty.
"Hey, the karaoke machine is opened. Hey Mina, show us your voice," Nicole said.
"Okay, I am a bit excited about this," Mina said as Sonic put a gentle hand on her shoulder to encourage her.
"Come on, let's see what you got," Sonic said as Mina nodded her head to kiss him for good luck.
"Okay, here we go," Mina said as she reached for the stage with everyone watching her. "Sonic is with me. I can do anything," Mina said as she had her boyfriend in her thoughts to give her strength to give it her all. She grabs the mic to begin choosing a song to sing. "Oh, perfect Diamond in the Sky. One of my favorite songs to write in the past," Mina smiles at this.
The machine sets up the music with this bright pop music coming out of the speakers with lights on Mina. Mina taps her sneakers on the stage to let the music flow through her body.
"And so today I know that it's a new start. I know the bad times are disappearing. Cause now I know that we'll never be apart," Mina's voice picks up with the crowd getting excited by her beautiful singing voice.
"Wow," Sonic said as Mina seemed to be into the music as she started to sway her body along with the pop music.
"You are the one that makes me feel so high. Just like the diamonds in the sky. I never want to hear you say goodbye. Cause you are my diamond in the sky," Mina begins to get off the stage to memorize the song by heart to walk towards Sonic.
The crowd looks on with awe to see this young woman singing her heart out to this love song.

And so today, I give up dreaming, Cause now I know, I need you every day," Mina's voice explodes to look deep within Sonic's eyes. His presence gives her the strength to push aside her nervousness to sing her feeling for him to everyone around her.
"Wow, this is very impressive," Nicole said sounding very impressed to see her singing firsthand.
"I have seen some of her videos online, she is pretty good. Yeah man, wish someone could sing like that for me," Shard said as Nicole patted him on the back.
"I am quite bad at singing, I will mess it up badly," Nicole said for them to see Mina next to their booth, standing beside Sonic.
"You're the one that makes me feel so high. Just like the diamonds in the sky. I never want to hear you say goodbye. Cause you are my diamond in the sky," Mina finishes planting a big kiss on his lips to end it off with the crowd clapping and cheering.
Shard and Nicole cheer along as well with the couple sporting deep blushes.
"This is for my boyfriend Sonic," Mina said proudly gently brushing her hand across his cheek. "He is the most caring and sweetest man I have known, I made this song about him," Mina said to go back to the stage to place the mic down to head back to the booth.
"That was great Mina, the people seem to like it," Shard said as everyone was talking about it. Mina sits beside Sonic to feels very embarrassed as Mina lies her head on his shoulder.
"You were dynamite as always," Sonic said as Mina sported a big smile.
"When we get some private time. You can put your head on my lap and I will sing until your heart bursts from all my love pouring into it," Mina said, the double date went through without any trouble for everyone had a fun time and disburse.
"Well, that was pretty fun hanging out with you both Sonic and Mina. Hope we can all hang out again, come on Shard. Let's go," Nicole said to put her arm around his own to walk away.
"Well, that was lovely," Mina said.
"Yeah, it reminds me of the time I first saw you singing for the first time," Sonic said.
"You said I was dynamite before too," Mina said.
"Yep, that killer voice made me want to date you on the spot," Sonic said as Mina giggled at this to grab onto his arm rubbing her chest onto it.
"You are too good to me," Mina said to kiss him on the cheek. "Hey baby, we should head for the beach. It's still warm out here," she said.
"Cool, going to the beach would be nice," Sonic said as Mina presses her tits deeper into his arm.
"I got this super cute bikini I want to show off to you," Mina said as Sonic can imagine her rocking some curves and deep cleavage,
"That would be pretty nice," Sonic said as Mina giggled at the dumb goofy grin on his face.
"Come on Baby, let's go home so I can sing to you in bed," Mina said as they sped back home to enjoy the rest of the day together.
