Author's note:
Hello everyone!!! I know i said i was back albeit temporarily and I had left for upwards to two weeks but I have decided to return for absolutely no reason whatsoever, 'I had already done most of my homework and my early exams have let out'. And so here I am publishing this chapter. And without further ado, please enjoy this chapter in which I may or maynot start an omake which will be finished on or near halloween!.
i do not own either fate stay night or Highschool dxd, those two products both belong to their respective owners.
He didn't know what to say, he really didn't know what to say. In all honesty he didnt want this to happen at all, he really didnt want this to happen in front of Artoria he was as good as an open book she knew every single one of his tells and she would know when he lied and she would figure out the truth. And so left with only one option he had to do give her part of the truth and hope she wouldn't dig too much into it, lord knows he wouldnt be able to lie to her if she pressed.
"In truth, Artoria, I wanted to talk about something with you during lunch it has to do with Issei..."
His beloveds face hardened, "What is it? I know you wouldnt follow him for no reason after all."
"I..." He pauses, "I saw him die Artoria..."
Artoria's face was stricken with surprise before her more kingly disposition entreched itself, "Do you know what and how it was caused?"
"No... that was part of my reason for stalking him, I needed to figure out the 'how' at least."
"I see..." Artoria paused for a moment, "Do you have any idea how we can enter the premises?"
Shirou tried not to react at the 'we' she used, he didnt want her to get dragged into this, "I have a plan, do you remember your dagger?"
At this Artoria looked at him with a face that screamed are you serious, "Of course I know my dagger Shirou how could I not?"
"Well we could use it to enter, and listen in, and they would be none the wiser."
"That would be a splendid plan, we get the information and leave!"
And so Shirou traced two copies of carnwerran and handed one to Artoria, and so they sneeked inside of the building shirou utilising a minute amount of reinforcement to be able to open the door with barely a sound.
She was waiting for it to be lunch time, she couldnt wait to have more of her senpais delicious food, it also helped that both he and his partner both pat her head, and yet she always sees a distant ember of reminiscence in both of their eyes each time they ate with her.
"Koneko. Stop looking so droopy our new peerage member is almost here," Akeno told he, and in all honesty she couldn't really care less, whether it was a man or a woman. But that was when he entered the room.
Ah she recognized him. He was that second year senpai that according to one of the two she always has lunch with is actually a good guy deep down contrary to his reputation as a pervert.
He was following both Buchou, and kiba, and for whatever small reason she could smell a peculiar scent on him, it was a reflection of that scent, the steel dragons, while said dragons was sharp and deadly Issei's was dull and friendly, she couldnt really explain this to even herself however.
While she was smelling said scent she sensed another one, no two, they were dulled, somehow, incredibly dulled, but she wouldnt mistake these scents for she had spent almost the entierety of lunch with those two sents, her expression of confusion on surprise must have shown on her face as while rias was explaining what they were to issei she saw her expression of confusion.
"Koneko? What is it?" Her king asked and yet she didnt answer immediately.
"Senpais?" she let out.
They were reaching were Issei, Kiba and suprisingly Rias had entered and that is when they heard, "Senpais?" A voice let out both he and Artoria recognized the voice almost immediately.
"Koneko?" He let out whispering. She was appart of this?
"Suddenly the both of them heard steps echoing out, they scanned their surroundings to find a good place to hid themselves at just in case they used koneko to scane them out, but that begged the question what if they let themselves be found and they demanded that they explain everything to them, that could work? But... what if it didnt, they knew koneko held no animosity towards them, there was a reason she always ate around them, so should they reveal themselves, they were much weaker than him and Artoria that was for sure, but they had Issei as a hostage in this situation, he didnt know what to do! Should he reveal himself and Artoria or should they both hid?
Before he could ask himself that question any further he saw that Artoria had removed her grasp of carnwerran holding it by the blade, before she took his own and then gave him a stare, that told him to dematerialize them.
Ah she had come to her own decision before he had managed to, that is just like her.
Once he had finished thinking about that he saw the owner of the footsteps arrive in the hall.
Before she could even open her mouth his sword had already started to speak, "Hello I just wanted to ask why you and the rest of the students here aren't in class?" She said perfectly no hint of aggression in her voice or in her face it was a simple question, truly, but in her hands, she had somehow managed to turn it into something which could reveal many a things depending on the way the person in front of them answered. Now that he looked closer at the person in front of him he reliased that it was a very popular girl in school, Akeno Himejima.
"Don't try to take control of the subject, I should be the one asking the questions. What are you both doing here?" She questioned.
"What are we doing here?" Artoria echoed out what she said, "If you must know we were merely curious why our kouhais, were leaving the class after they had already passed the bathroom." That was true at least for where Artoria's classe was situated his was before the bathroom.
Akeno scouled, "Well then I would appreciate it if you both left I assure you what we are doign here is approved by the teachers, if anything you are interrepting club activities."
"Club activities?" Artoria questioned out loud, "Club activities only happen before and after school ends and there are no exceptions for this rule except for the student council, which isn't even a club."
She scowled even more before she raised her hand and a magic circle appeared where she had put her hand out, "Sorry but I'm going to have to remove you from the pr-"
Before she could even finish what she was sayign shirou and artoria had already rushed past her shirou had his hand out over her head as if he was about to stab her with something, meanwhile artoria was positioned right under her blind spot a blade of what seemed to be wind positioned to decapitate her if she tried anything. Akeno didnt say anything recognizing that is she said anything more she would die.
It was this scene that rias and her peerage had walked into.
"Shirou?" Issei questioned confused by the sudden turn of events, and it wasnt only him everybody was suprised Rias was shaking in barely repressed anger, Kiba was for all intents and purposes was staring at the situation seriously, trying to see if he could intervene, but the most shocked of them all had to be Koneko. This was the first time she had witnessed her senpais act like this and from what she heard they didn't even act like this in the clubs that they particpe in.
Shirou was the only one of the couple to acknowledge the group saber still holding her blade to Akeno's neck. "This... is a rather unfortunate first meeting between most of us, don't you think?" He said trying not to mess it up this would normally be Saber's job but she was well holding her blade to japanese woman's neck with a grip that could crush magically reinforced steel with ease, and in all honesty he had no clue why she was holding it so seriously. What did she do to make Artoria so angry he would never know...
"Indeed..." The red haired woman said her sheer rage palpable in her breath, "How about you stop whatever it is your doing to my peerage member and we can talk together with hopefully less hostility?" He could tell that she could barely hold back her anger and she was only doing it because she knew that if she tried anything her friend would die.
"That is a option... And perhaps you could also explain to us what did you to Issei? And what this peerage thing is?"
She gritted her teeth, "That... is acceptable, but for this to commence please let akeno come back here."
Shirou looked at Saber and she looked at him they seemed to have a conversation with their eyes alone before she ended up conceding and retracting her blade of wind from Akeno's throat and sending her blade back to the ether. It was at this point that his former servant spoke.
"Well then shall get this meeting started?
The meeting had started 20 minutes ago and Shirou and Artoria could barely hold back their anger, they knew what games she was playing and they dispised it.
It had all started the moment Rias continued where she left off with Issei telling him that he had died, and that she managed to bring him back to life using a chess piece that devils call evil pieces, she went a bit into the explanation of it all saying that it can bring back somebody who was on the edge of death or somebody that had already died and convert them into a devil it could also make a completely normal person turn into one. She tried to play it off as she was saving him. No. She wanted to have him. For whatever reason he didnt know. But why? Why did she let him die? If he had told her to become a devil he probably would have accepted the moment she mentioned that he could get a peerage. And that brought out another question how did peerages work, no, how did a human or another species become a devil? Was it similar to becoming a dead apostle? Except that they're skipping the point where one becomes a thrall? But then how does it bring back dead people? It wasn't necromancy, he was sure of that, did they have a portion of the third true magic inside a small chess piece? But how and why?
"Why?" He let out involuntarily, "Why do you want to turn other people into devils?"
Rias looked at him before respondign rather simply, "It was the fastest way to make sur we didnt go extinct."
They were going extinct, well... now that partially justifies it, except it doesn't. They somehow changed a human soul into that of a devil, it made him sick to his stomach, he wanted to scream at her tell her what they were doing was wrong that to change ones soul was the worst thing they could ever do to someone! Yet he couldn't, because they were just trying to survive and not become extinct he understood that even though it enraged him and made him hate the woman in front of him.
"Why did you not recruit Issei earlier?" Artoria asks looking at Rias seriously, had she figured out something he hadnt?
"What do you mean?" Rias deflected.
"It is rather simple that you had an ulterior motive when 'saved' Issei."
"I would have saved him earlier if I could!" Rias let out becoming more angry.
"You could have, you knew an enemy faction had entered your territory and saw them putting themselves closer and closer to Issei and you didnt even deploy one member of your peerage to keep him safe?"
"You don't knwo nothing of the political situation that could have caused!"
"I know that they arent allowed in your territory, not to forget to mention the fact that it is your job to protect the commun people of kuoh," Artoria cooly responded before getting up, "Come Shirou it is time we depart."
He got up without a second thought.

thanks for reading this chapter I know that the main story beat at least was a little less than last chapter but what are you going to do, the point I ended it at is in my opinion the perfect point!
And yes I know that I am saying my story is on hiatus, but I couldnt resist the urge! Yes there is going to be a omake.

Shirou hol heartedly believes in the indomitable human spirit the only problem is he cant really call himself human any more since you know he has the heart of albion, yes I did just give a big af spoiler to the story so what I implied it. And I cannot guarantee that shirou will save asia .

It was going to be halloween soon in novum Chaldea the child servants were havign fun and the masters wer preparing to summon this years halloween servant, but before they went to that they noticed something with Artoria Pendragon's personal skills it was saying she had gotten a new one?
"Hey big bro, take a look at this?" Gudako said to her older brother.
"Yeah whats up?" Gudao said looking at his the tablet that she was holding mere seconds ago, and on the screen there was a new skill titled 'Destined reunion EX'.
"Huh that's... New?"
"Yeah! Thats what I'm saying and its not the only one scroll a bit lower!"
He did as he was told and looked upon another skill, 'Connection to utopia EX' "Another one?"
Gudako nodded, "Yeah! Now look at the skills descriptions!"
Gudao complied, "Destined reunion EX, The calling sign of a reunion between two star crossed lovers, sword and sheath destined to be separated until the end of time unless humanity is in peril and or they are no longer needed and rest in utopia. This is a shared skill. Huh that's odd? Is it saying we're going to summon another servant soon?"
"I have no idea... either way now read the description for the second skill."
"Connection to utopia EX. This skill represents the user's surial connection to the ever distant utopia. This is a shared skill. Hum, now I'm curious," Gudao proceeds to check all other artoria's skills to see if they have the same one and to his immense suprise they all do, "They all have the same skills..."
"Eh its probably just a coincidence," Gudako says right as they get a message from Davinci to go to the command central and so the siblings go without noticing the faint simmer of gold that passed through the summoning carving on the floor.

I know that this isnt like my previous omakes but I wanted to make this one be less well, horny one may say.
