A Fox Fights in Gotham C14

Once again I have to confess there will be delays on Story updates due to limited free time. I own nothing.

:Chapter Start:

Mount Olympus-Fire Chamber

Red Fox slowly walks into room from the large chain to the side while saying to himself, "This is so troublesome," before leaning on a wall and siding down to take a seat on the floor. Rubbing his head as he looks towards the sound of heels clicking as Diana arrived.

"Did you find him?" Diana questioned as she noticed some of his cuts slowly healing.

"Turns out the bastard had a way to escape the Underworld," Red Fox states while closing his eyes and noticing another presence concealed in the room as Red Fox says, "Until the coward returns with the key to the Labyrinth is beyond our reach."

Diana frowns before asking, "And there is no way for us to complete our task?"

"Well without the key, we cannot get the into the box," Red Fox commented before adding, "Let's look around, maybe we can find a hint or something that can bypass the fire or something."

"It destroys everything that it touches," Diana argued.

"Not what it is sitting on," Red Fox argued as he stood before heading down another path they had not used the see a hall of statues and tapestries of Greek history. Some images of beasts being killed by a white man with red markings killing beasts, even Hercules' trials and multiple warriors completing tasks. Red Fox comments, "What is this place?"

Diana comments, "Most of these Tapestries were destroyed during the time of the Romans," she then noticed a bunch of scrolls and comments, "Those were destroyed in library of Alexandria."

"So the owners of this place ensured that knowledge was protected?" Red Fox comments as he noticed an item that caused him to frown before he ignored it. He then looks to Diana and comments, "Trophies and relics, that were believed to be destroyed," he looked thoughtful before asking, "Why would they go to the effort to keep this junk. I would think they were more selfish than anything."

Diana frowns before stating, "Gods are not selfish."

"Tell that to Ares," Red Fox comments as they continued through the chamber to see weapons and other items on interest. Such as a head with a blindfold concealing its eyes and what appears to be snakes for hair. Other items included the hide of a golden lion and a golden apple. Red Fox comments, "I don't like this. Why is this place set up like a museum?" They walked until they noticed the blood trails, "Someone was attacked in here," with that the pair followed the blood with Red Fox ready for a trap only to find an injured woman.

"Athena!?" Diana rushed to the apparent Goddess.

Red Fox looked around and frowns before stepping over to Athena with a small pack of medical supplies as he says, "So you are Athena. I take it this is your room?"

"No," Athena answered with barely a whisper, "These are Zues' Chambers, this is his Chambers."

"How were you injured?" Diana asks as Red Fox examines the wound in her lower back as he cleans the wound before using his Chakra to seal the wound causing the Goddess a lot of pain as the wound was closed before Red Fox forced the Goddess to swallow a red pill. Diana glared at Red Fox as she says, "What is wrong with you."

Athena slowly raised a hand to stop Diana as she says, "Thank you."

"I am not a medic, but you should be able to heal enough to be able to move at least. What is Ares' planning?" Red Fox interrogates the goddess getting a glare from Diana.

"Ares intends to recruit gods who were wronged in all the Panteon's destroy those who don't fall in line," Athena answered while Red Fox frowns as he double checks the wound while examining some blood between his fingers with a frown. Athena continued, "You need the girl to open the box to get the power to kill Ares once and for all."

Red Fox shakes his head as he stands and asks, "Are you really so callous to demand the death of a child?"

Diana glared at Red Fox before Athena asks, "Do you truly think you can defy Fate?"

Red Fox hums before saying, "It must be Tuesday then." With that Red Fox walked back towards the item that brought his attention that caused him to pause. He walked over to the weapon on the pedestal and picking up the three bladed Kunai with marking on the handle before saying, "So that is how he did it," before dodging a lightning bolt heading for his head as he placed the Kunai in his coat. "You know it is rude to sneak attack a guy when he is annoyed with your kind."

Modi growls as he shows himself covered with lightning as he says, "The hammer was going to be mine but now no one will understand that I earnt it! They will think that I was handed the hammer," he roared as he charged at Red Fox who dodged the attacks while coating his body with Wind Chakra and led the disgruntled God away from the scrolls and relics enraging Modi further. They reached flame chamber again as Red Fox avoided the thunder clouds coming from Modi before being backed towards the Blue Flames that were dangerously hot. Red Fox sighs before catching Modi's arm and slamming his face into the metal surrounding the flame burning Modi and stealing a silver crystal from around his neck and throwing him away from the flames. Modi clutched his face in pain Red Fox punched him unconscious and leaving him on the floor in a pained filled sleep. Red Fox looked to his normal hand and created a fist to conceal some blue sparks in his hand as Diana helping Athena arrived to find Modi struggling on the ground and Red Fox examining the Ice Crystal.

Diana asks, "What did you do to him?"

"I got what we need," Red Fox looks around before heading back into Zues' area until he noticed a tarp that covered a series of rings in a large circle, that made Red Fox frown some more before he made a ring spin and proceeded to notice markings and proceeded to create a picture of two men fighting with lightning and wind in a valley with two giants in the background. Red Fox looked at it carefully before the circle split in two creating a pathway back down into the mountain. Diana held Athena as Red Fox looked to the pair and says, "God Lady person, you stay up here while we handle the Labyrinth."

Athena nodded to Diana as placed her against a wall where the Goddess could recover and the two Champions ran down a long stair case hidden in the walls of the Labyrinth chamber where Diana looks at the mostly completed series of cubes made of metal and metal. Diana comments, "I wonder why the Gods disassembled the Labyrinth?"

"I doubt they ever built it originally. They probably used their abilities just to make it so the only way to reach Pandora physically was through the maze. Or they forgot how they sealed her," Red Fox comments before stating, "Come on, I say we have the last stage of construction. Meaning we should find Dedalus about," they reached the base of the stairs while the ghost pacing back and forth, "Now. I ah got that ah Ice storm thing you needed."

Dedalus hums with a ghostly tone before commenting, "Yes, the Ice Storm," he gestures to the side and says, "insert in in the gear to unlock the remaining chambers. Once complete you will be able to enter the Labyrinth. Once inside you will need to complete the challenges to reach the prize. But be warned not even I know how to get threw them. Not even the prize itself."

Red Fox frowns before sighing sadly and commenting, "You probably did once," Diana looked to him with a raised eyebrow. Red Fox sighs and says, "Either you just forgot or someone removed them," he looks to Dedalus before asking, "If we solve the Labyrinth, will you move on?"

Dedalus frowns before commenting, "I have no idea. I should have gone to Hades a long time ago. I wonder what happened to my son, Icarus."

Diana looked uncomfortable as Red Fox simply says, "Probably waiting for you to get home with the milk you promised."

Dedalus frowns before commenting, "That must have been what she said when I was given this task. I wonder where I can find some ghost bovine," Dedalus became distracted with that thought.

Diana whispers to Red Fox, "What were you thinking? He deserves to know the truth about his son?"

Red Fox frowns before commenting, "He can ask his son to tell their life. Besides I am not going to anger a Ghost. You fight a ghost. Undead corpses easily. Spirits without bodies that is impossible."

Diana blinks before stating, "You fear those like Dedalus? The incorporeal."

"Yes, and if you are smart you would be too. Especially if you do not what they can actually do to you," Red Fox comments.

"So Ares would have to do is make you see you are fighting a ghost," Diana comments idly as Red Fox activates the gears before Diana continues, "Hades is filled with the dead. You did not seemed to panic."

Red Fox simply said, "They were relieved when I turned the heat back on. They seemed thankful," which was true as they preferred the heat to the cold. With the activation of the Ice Storm crystal moved the first cube near the pair where they jumped on and begun the process of attaching the large cubes together as Demons and monster started spawning. Red Fox slashed through the first Anubis to arrive as Diana used her shield to block a Surter's Hammer as they were slowly surrounded. Though Red Fox noticed they were not targeting the Clamps holding the section of Labyrinth.

Diana removes a Surter's head before kicking another that appeared to freeze as it was about to attack, "They are weakening."

Red Fox suddenly stop his sword as it touched an Anubis' neck. He glares at the Anubis and says, "Get lost all of you," he switched RED QUEEN for MAGNI's Sword as it generated electricity. "Considering Ares wants the same thing. There is not point you lot being slaughtered here for no reason!" that actually got the monsters and demons to actually stop fighting as Red Fox continues, "If you want to continue to fight I will be happy to remove your heads but at least put some effort into the fight." With his his piece said the monsters and demons stepped back and into twhat brought them to the fight.

Diana asks, "How did you do that?"

Red Fox chuckles before saying, "If people took the time to actually talk, there would be no pointless deaths." With that the rest of the assembly went quickly as the Labyrinth formed into a giant cube of cubes with the entrance being on the side in the middle. Red Fox looks over the side to see Dedalus floating at the entrance. Red Fox summoned the Chaos blades and threw one into the side of the Labyrinth while asking, "You coming?" Diana accepted the offered hand and the two dropped quickly as Red Fox controlled the descent until Red Fox landed on the platform first and easily lowered Diana to her feet.

"You did not need to do that," Diana comments.

"You're the one wearing high heels while not being allowed to fly," Red Fox looks to the entrance before asking with a frown, "Any advice from the builder?"

Dedalus hums lightly and says, "The centre of the Labyrinth was a gift from Zues. I do not know what is inside."

Red Fox hums before mentioning to Diana, "I can go in alone if you want Princess."

"No, we will face the next Ambush together," with that Diana stepped forward with Red Fox keeping step with her.

Red Fox simply comments, "More like they just can't conceal themselves from me. This place is full of monsters who just want to kill any who enter," with that the door behind them as they were left in the dark. As several tentacles shifted around the entrance.

:End of Chapter 13:

Yes this was a faster update, the reason being that this story has been getting smaller chapters instead of the ten thousand words or so that is one of the reasons for long update times.
