I'm back! Here's another chapter. I hope you enjoy it!

Annabeth returned to her chambers after the festivities. She wondered why Percy had asked her about Luke. She had told him all about him. If she didn't know better, she might think Percy was jealous. No, she decided. Why would a prince be jealous of a squire? Maybe he thought that Annabeth and Luke were more than friends. That wasn't true. Percy hadn't asked that, not directly. He had asked how Annabeth knew Luke and how long. Still, it was probably nothing important. Percy probably just wanted to know more about Luke because he was such a good squire. It was possible that he wanted to knight Luke soon.
While she sat in her chambers, writing, there was a knock at her door. She knew it wasn't Percy. He had a way of knocking at the door that Annabeth knew by heart.
"Enter," she said.
The door opened. Piper came in.
"Annabeth!" She exclaimed.
"Piper!" Annabeth said.
They hugged.
"I haven't been able to sneak up here until now," Piper said, sitting down on Annabeth's bed. "How are you? How's Prince Percy?"
"He's wonderful."
"Tell me more!"
Annabeth gushed about Percy for the next half hour. When she was done, she thought of something.
"What has Luke been up to lately?" She asked.
"Luke? I haven't seen him for a while. He's been called away with the other squires and knights."
"Yes. I forgot about that. Do you think he will become a knight anytime soon?"
"I don't know. As I said, I haven't seen him."
"Hmm," Annabeth said, running her fingers through her hair.
"Why do you want to know, anyway?" Piper asked. "I thought you only had eyes for Prince Percy."
"I do. That's why I want to know. Percy asked me a bunch of questions about Luke earlier today."
"That's strange. Does he know Luke?"
"He said that Luke is his gentleman-in-waiting's friend. That's all I know."
They talked for a while, until one of Annabeth's ladies-in-waiting knocked on the door. Piper hid in the closet.
"Enter," Annabeth said.
She came in and told her that it was time for dinner. Annabeth followed her and Piper sneaked out without being seen.
At dinner, Annabeth sat next to a girl she didn't know. Her name was Bethany and she wouldn't stop talking about how wonderful Percy was and how she was sure he'd pick her. Annabeth wondered if she had sounded like this when she had talked to Piper. Even though Bethany kept talking about Percy, Annabeth wasn't jealous of her. She knew Percy would choose her. He had said it himself.
Annabeth ate a slice of ham while she half listened to what Bethany was saying. At the end of the meal, as people were getting ready to leave, The King made an announcement.
"Please, stay seated," he said. "The fifty are to remain seated."
Everyone who had been getting up sat back down. What did The King want?
"This is the final day that there will be fifty of you."
There was a collective gasp. Prince Percy was going to eliminate people!
"Prince Percy is going to meet with all of you individually and give you a test of sorts."
Annabeth wondered what the test would be. Would it be the same for every girl? Would Percy change it for each girl based on what he knew about them? When he got to Annabeth, would he just pass her and move on? She hoped not. She loved a good test. The King continued.
"Now you may go to your chambers. When Prince Percy gets to you, you will preform the test to the best of your ability. He will be there as soon as he can."
Annabeth went back to her chambers, Bethany tagging along beside her.
"Can you believe it?" Bethany asked. "Percy is going to decide who to get rid of. I just know I will not be kicked out. He's madly in love with me. You'll see."
Annabeth said nothing to this. When she got to her chambers, she said goodbye as quickly as she could and went in and shut the door. She paced around her chambers. She wanted to write or do something to get her mind off of the test, but she couldn't and kept pacing. Finally, she sat down and opened a book. She had read two sentences when there was a knock on her door. It was Percy. She knew it. Instead of saying, "enter," she opened the door. She smiled when she saw him. He smiled back. They stood there for a moment, smiling. Annabeth finally remembered to let him in.
"So," she asked, sitting down on her bed. "What's the test?"
"I want to know three things about you that you've never told anybody," Percy said.
Annabeth shifted uncomfortably. She wasn't sure what this had to do with staying in the competition. Percy must have seen the look on her face.
"This isn't the test for everybody," he said. "And nothing you say will change how I feel about you and how I want you for my wife. I just want to know."
"Okay," Annabeth said.
"I once stole a whole bag of sugar from my mother and ate the whole thing. Mother never found the remains of the bag and she still to this day doesn't know why I got so sick."
Percy laughed.
"You haven't told anyone?"
"Nope."
"What else?" He asked.
Annabeth thought about it.
"When I was ten, a bully stole my favorite book. I had read it many times. I knew this bully was a slow reader, so I waited until she got near the end. Then I stole it back."
They both laughed.
"Really?" He asked.
"Yes! She couldn't find any other copies of it that I've heard of, so she still doesn't know how the book ends."
"What's the last thing?"
Annabeth took a deep breath.
"When I was fourteen, I met a girl and we became friends. One night, while she was staying over, she cut up my journal."
Percy gasped.
"I don't remember why. I think we liked the same boy."
"Is that the secret?"
"No. The secret is that a month later, I snuck into her room and cut off all her hair."
Percy stared at her in surprise.
"Did she know it was you?"
"No. She had forgotten about the journal cutting incident entirely. I was never caught."
Percy didn't say anything for a little while. He cleared his throat.
"You wouldn't do that to any of the girls here, would you?" He asked.
"Of course not! That was a one time thing."
He smiled.
"Thanks for telling me. You've passed the test."
"Great! It's getting late and you must have other girls to go to and I'm getting tired. Goodbye."
Percy said goodbye and left. Annabeth smiled and decided to go to bed.

Thanks for reading!
