We all know the story of The Sound of Music, but what came before Maria? Before the uniforms and the whistles and the strict regime? Before all of that was a family full of love, laughter and music with a loving and dedicated mother at the helm. What was she like? How did her and Georg's love story begin? It's time to find out. It's time to go back to the beginning.

In this tale of love, loyalty, and loss, young Georg von Trapp finds an unexpected friendship in Maria, the niece of the family's gardener. What begins as an innocent bond between children blossoms into a deep and abiding love as they grow up together on the grand von Trapp estate. But as Georg's father intervenes with a plan to secure his son's future, their world is torn apart.

"And why do you stare at me that way?" "I can't help but think, sir—" "Yes?" "We've met before." The Captain was no stranger, Maria discovered some time after being sent to the von Trapp household as a teacher and governess for the summer. No, she and the Captain were not strangers at all. It's time for Georg to publicly introduce Maria as his wife, and to share some other family developments.

This is a short exploration of some of the time between when Maria is met by the Captain and the Baroness upon her return from the abbey and the start of the gazebo scene. Basically, I want to understand the process of Maria ending up in that blue dress again.

We follow the broken family right after Agathe has passed away. How will the children and their father cope with such a big loss? How did this family turn into what we saw at the beginning of the movie? For full backstory read Ever Changing Dynamics. WILL BE REWRITTEN AND ADDED TO EVER CHANGING DYNAMICS.

"You must go back; you must find out." When Maria leaves the abbey to return to the von Trapps, she makes a discovery which changes the course of her life. But when the Lord closes a door, surely somewhere he'll open a window? Please R&R.

One shot: A month into their honeymoon in Paris, Maria and Georg make the most of their first Christmas as man and wife.
