Universe: Time for a Splatfest
Within the library, after the disastrous fight against Roman Torcwick in Vale pier team RWBY decide to play a simple game of Remnant: The Game with Yang winning and both Ruby and Weiss having an emotional breakdown on the table while Blake watches in both amusement and deadpan expression. Sun and Neptune approach the mess of a group.
"Sup Losers," Sun greeted
"Hey, Sun," Ruby replied
"Ruby, Yang, Blake, Ice queen," "Why is everyone kept calling me that," "I never got the chance to formally introduce you to my old friend," Sun said
"Uhh... Aren't libraries for reading?" Neptune asked
"Shut up. Don't be a nerd," Sun said
"Intellectual. Okay. Thank you," Neptune remarked, "I'm Neptune,"
"So, Neptune, where are you from?" Weiss asked.
"Haven..." Upon seeing Weiss, Neptune with as much suaveness as he can muster walk up beside Weiss, "And I don't believe I've caught your name, snow angel,"
"Um... I'm Weiss," Weiss flustered
"Pleasure to meet you,"
While the two disasters in romance and suaveness embarrassingly interact with each other, Sun decides to talk to Blake, "I never took you as the board-game-playing type!"
"Right..." Blake started, "Well, I think I'm done playing. I'll see you guys later,"
Before Blake could leave the door opened to reveal Pyrrha and a girl with a dark complexion, platinum blonde hair, and olive green eyes. She wears a yellow robe with only one wide, loose-fitting sleeve over a black tube top. She also has black pants and shoes and a red sash embroidered with a white "endless knot" on it. She has bandages on both her legs and arms as well as a red necklace and what appears to be two matching red sticks on the back left side of her head. Both girls are looking around the room and spot both Sun and Neptune. Sun and Neptune stare in confusion as the two walks toward the group.
"Sun Neptune so this is where you two disappear to," Pyrrha said.
"Arslan? Pyrrha?" Sun said in confusion, "Aren't Heaven students supposed to come in a few more days,"
"Yeah well because of your shenanigans and somehow managing to drag Neptune into this, the school decide to come earlier than expected," the dark-skinned girl Arslan scoffed at the two foldings her arms over her chest, "By the way, Jaune is mad and on a hunt for you two,"
At the mention of a name, both Sun and Neptune's faces began to pale into stark white and frantically darted around the room like prey trying to find the predator that was hunting them. The two scared boys then decided to run around in fear before finally hiding behind Pyrrha and Arslan using the two as a shield.
Ruby, Weiss, Blake, and Yang watch in confusion as Sun and Neptune began to cower behind Arslan and Pyrrha. They were wondering what makes them this scared. Blake was about to ask what was wrong when Yang, Blake, and Weiss saw the ground behind Sun and Neptune begin to ripple as a humanoid figure slowly rise from the ground.
Sun and Neptune not knowing what was happening behind them suddenly felt a hand grips their head. Both boys let out a girlish screech from the grip that lock their heads. The grip began to tighten on their head and force their head to turn toward the figure behind them. What greets them were shining blue eyes staring back at them. Again, the two boys paled and started to scream in fear at the sight.
Standing behind them was Jaune Arc, leader of team JNPR of Haven, and also the leader of the Haven representative. Jaune is wearing a zipped-up white hoodie that has various splatters of different colors on it, white tight-fitting pants that have the same motive as his hoodie, black sneakers, fingerless gloves, around his neck that appear to be a respirator mouth cover, and goggles at his forehead. But the most striking thing about Jaune is his hair is entirely made out of tentacles.
"Well now, look what I found," Jaune said smiling, and his eyes were covered with his hair. Still, from the perspective of the two trapped boys, they saw Jaune's eyes shine menacingly as Jaune's smile more menacing with imaginary sharp teeth, "A couple of Heaven students that decided to went ahead to Beacon leaving me getting lectured by the headmaster," Sun and Neptune began to shake in fear, "What have you got to say for your selves?"
"We're sorry?" Both Sun and Neptune nervously shrug their shoulder.
"Nope!" Jaune exclaimed, "Tentacle Grib!" Jaune began to tighten his grip on the two boys' heads Sun and Neptune screamed in pain and struggled in Jaune's grip frantically flailing their arms before falling limp. Jaune let go of the two and the two bodies were dumped on the ground.
With a smile on his face, Jaune pats himself on the back before noting the audience who have a front-row seat to his punishment to the two students. Jaune began to straighten and dust off his outfit before composing himself and facing team RWBY.
"Nice to meet you, I'm Jaune Arc leader of team JNPR and representative of Heave," Jaune said, 'so far so good, "I hope we can work toGETher,"
A brief few seconds of silence before a softly giggling Pyrrha broke it followed by Arslan snickering at Jaune's red face with Ruby just nodding in relatedness, Yang following Arslan's example, Weiss trying and failing to contain her amusement, and Blake's corner of her mouth twitches upward. All in all, Jaune feels embarrassed about his cracked voice.
"WELCOME BACK TO THE VYTAL FESTIVAL!"
The crowd within the arena burst into cheers as Port announce the continuation of the festival.
"Get ready folks because the next match is gonna be one you don't want to miss, a battle between the all-girl team that is as fierce as any other team, TEAM NDGO," The students from Shade academy all cheered as the screen on the arena shows four girls each with a distinct style and weapon, "The ladies are all ready to show people they mean business,"
"Indeed, and they are facing a formidable team known for being Heaven ace, TEAM JNPR," as Oobleck announces team JNPR, the screen shows Jaune in full gear carrying on his back what looks like an umbrella and a baseball bat on his hip, beside him Pyrrha, Ren, and Nora smiling and waving at everyone. The crowd cheers louder than before seeing the team appear before them as their exploit are well known in all of the kingdoms. Among the crowd is team RWBY with each member cheering on their friend, team ABRN also cheering on with Arslan cheering on two specific people.
"Now, for the terrain randomizer,"
The big screen shows a two-wheel as it spins around. One wheel began to get slower and slower until it stop at a city-like silhouette. the second wheels follow as it stops at an island-like picture. the arena floor began to shake, on the NDGO side of the arena small buildings and concrete began to rise from the platform simulating an urban-like terrain. On the JNPR side of the arena, water began pouring in the arena, and a wooden platform along with small islands and sand rise from the water simulating a sandy pier area.
"As the arena has been set, LET THE FESTIVAL BEGIN,"
"Nora scatter and smash! Ren distract! Pyrrha isolates!"
The moment the match starts, Jaune immediately lay down their attack with Nora firing a barrage of grenades at the opposing team which they reacted by scattering and isolating themselves from the team within the city. Jaune, Pyrrha, and Ren rush into the city, and Nora rides Magnhild to attack the closes hostile in her view which is Gwen. Nora swung her hammer at the surprised Gwen hitting her and sending her flying out of bounds.
"And in no time at all team, JNPR manage to not only separate NDGO but also sent one of them out of bounds, and it seems Mr. Lie Ren is currently doing what is commonly known as a hit-and-run tactic against Octavia and Dew,"
The big screen shows Ren jumping from building to building while simultaneously stinging Octavia and Dew with fire dust who are trying to retaliate but always missed with Ren dodging. Dew tunnel-visioned in sending a gale of cyclone and wind toward failed to notice an oncoming blast of yellow ink, hitting her at the side and sending her flying. On her flight path, Jaune appears from the concrete with both hands on his baseball bat, as soon as Dew got close Jaune swung his bat hitting Dew on her stomach. Dew clutching her stomach in pain not noticing Jaune swing his bat again this time aiming for the head knocking her unconscious and sending her Aura level to the red.
While at the same time, Octavia was shocked at the ambush against Dew not paying attention to Ren as he leap off the building and landed on the back of Octavia slamming her to the ground. Without pause, Ren slashes Octavia back twice before point black unloads StormFlower on Octavia's back immediately sending her Aura level red.
"In an amazing display of tactics and teamwork, Mr. Arc and Mr. Lie Ren capitalize on the moment and send both Octavia and Dew out of the fight,"
On another side of the city, Pyrrha is shown to be engaging in close combat with Nebula as they clash swords. Pyrrha in a moment of opportunity, bash her shield against Nebula's head disorientating her and shoving her back a few feet. While trying to get her head clear-minded, the moment Nebula open her eyes all she could was the flat side of Magnhild hitting her in the chest and sending her flying back toward an appearing Jaune from the ground with his baseball bat ready. Jaune swung his bat and sent Nebula flying into the air, Ren jumped off from a nearby building heel kick Nebula down to the ground. Just before Nebula hit the ground, Pyrrha rushes in with her shield in front ramming Nebula and sending her out of bound and Aura level to the red.
"And with that, the match is over in such impressive time, winner TEAM JNPR,"
All four members of JNPR are smiling and waving at the crowd with Nora shouting 'JNPR RULEZ' emphasizing the Z on rulez.
