As our heroes continue on with their journey, they have stopped at a local Pokemon Center. During their stay there, they are watching a broadcast that has caught their attention.

"This battle is looking rather one-sided. Simon of the Elite Four has had control of this battle from the start." They were watching a replay of a battle that featured one of the Elite Four: Simon the psychic-type specialist. Simon was the one with short brown hair wearing a yellow robe-like piece with red pants and black flats and black piece over his head. He was dressed like some sort of monk.

"Metagross, Meteor Mash!" They saw Simon use his Metagross attack and defeated his opponent after a powerful hit.

"That is it! That there is why they are called the Elite Four!"

"Wow. This Simon is pretty good." Cletus said.

"What did you expect? He is one of the Elite Four." Terra said.

"The Elite Four... So cool." Davis said as he always loved hearing about them. "It was so cool when we met Specter, even if we didn't know he was the Elite Four. I wonder if we'll be able to meet Simon."

"Yeah. That would be awesome." Imperialdramon said.

"But we ran into Specter by luck. I doubt we'll meet anyone else form the Elite Four." Terra said with her doubts.

"Hey! You won't believe who I saw near the ruins! It's Simon of the Elite Four!" They overheard a trainer talking to his friends. When they heard one of the Elite Four was in the area, a lot of trainers went to check it out.

"You were saying, Terra." Davis said as he wasn't going to pass on the opportunity to meet another one of the Elite Four.

Through the water, forest, and up in the sky

In the fire, thunder, and right in your heart

There are so many, many, many to find

And I know I can do it

(I can do it)

I know I can catch them all-all-all

(Gotta catch'em all)

So let's go

(Come on)

Oh

Watch me, here I go

Pokemon, here I come

It's destiny calling

I'll give it my all

It's all I can do

(Davis' voice) Simon Sight

Meeting one of the Elite Four would be an amazing. It's like meeting a celebrity. Near a set of ruins, Simon himself was there and appeared to be studying them. A lot of trainers wanted the chance to meet him. Not wanting to disturb him, they all watched him without trying to bother him. Davis and the others were among the crowd and they could hardly believe it himself.

"It's really Simon of the Elite Four." Terra said. "What is he doing?"

"I would have to say it's archeology work. He must be trying to study the ruins." Cletus said. They were all just glad to get a look of Simon. However, there was someone that wanted more than a look. Davis was surprised to see Jason stepping forward.

"Jason?" Davis said.

"Don't bug me." Jason said as he just brushed Davis aside and focused on Simon. "You're Simon." He said as he was brave enough to disturb him.

"Yes. Who are you?" Simon questioned.

"My name is Jason. I challenge you to a battle." Jason said.

"He's challenging one of the Elite Four?"

"Is he crazy or just brainless?"

"That guy is in for a world of pain. I bet he'll give up when he sees how overmatched he is." Others think Jason's being foolish, but Davis and the others know him better than that. Simon was a little surprised by how direct he was. He studied Jason and could he had quite a drive.

"Very well. I accept your challenge." Simon said with everyone surprised that Simon would actually take this battle. "How many pokemon are we using?"

"As many as we like." Jason said.

"Very well." Simon said. "In that case, I think I'll start with this one. Come on out, Psyphant!"

"Psyphant!" He chose his pokemon and it was a pink elephant-like pokemon in a meditative position. It was even floating. Psyphant had a small trunk, but it was also dressed like a monk in yellow clothes.

"That's Psyphant, Simon's best pokemon." Terra said. Davis pulled out his pokedex to learn more about it.

"Psyphant, the Insightful Pokemon. A psychic-type. Psyphant is in a constant meditative stance to increase it's psychic power. Psyphant are considered to be highly intelligent in both intellect and emotions."

"Scraggy, time for battle!" Jason called as he made his choice.

"Scraggy."

"Scraggy... Fighting-types aren't strong against psychic-types, but it's also a dark-type. I wonder how Jason plans to battle like this." Cletus said. Davis watched this battle closely.

"Psyphant, raise your power with Meditate." Simon said as he started this battle with Psyphant increased its powers.

"Scraggy, Throat Chop!" Jason called. Scraggy charged right in with a dark-type attack, and could do some damage if it connects.

"Now use Gyro Ball!" Simon called. Psyphant started spinning around at great speed. Psyphant easily deflected Scraggy's attack and did some damage. So much damage that Scraggy was taken out in just one hit.

"It's already over?!" Terra said.

"That Psyphant is powerful. Scraggy's attack didn't even connect." Imperialdramon said. Jason brought Scraggy back to it's pokeball and kept going with the battle.

"Dusclops, time for battle!" Jason called.

"Dusclops!"

"He's using a ghost-type this time! Another pokemon that's strong against psychic-types!" Davis said.

"Now use Will-O-Wisp!" Jason called. Dusclops formed a series of ghostly flames and had them all attack Psyphant.

"Send them back with Psychic!" Simon called. Psyphant focused on it's psychic power once more and was able to grasp those flames so that it could send them back. Dusclops got blasted by it's own attack.

"Don't back down! Now use Night Shade!" Jason ordered.

"Focus Blast!" Simon called. Both pokemon used very powerful attacks. When the two attacks collided, it caused a fierce explosion.

"Unreal! He used Focus Blast to block Dark Pulse!" Cletus said. "An attack like that wouldn't have had any effect on Dusclops, but I've never seen it used like that before! Simon really knows how to use the type disadvantage to his advantage!"

"Now use Gyro Ball!" Simon said. Psyphant used the same attack and smashed against Dusclops with it getting knocked out as well. That's two to nothing now. Jason returned Dusclops, but he didn't seem worried.

"Now that I've seen what your Psyphant can do, let's see how you deal with my strongest pokemon." Jason said. "Royflame, time for battle!" Jason brought out a brand new pokemon. It was a red lion, but it was standing on two legs. It had a grey chest with a muscular build with black stripes on the arms. It's most distinct feature was that the mane was made out of fire. It also gave off this feeling that it was completely serious and that nothing would waver it.

"Royflame..."

"What is that?" Imperialdramon said.

"Did he say Royflame?" Davis questioned as he learned more about that pokemon.

"Royflame, the Fire King Pokemon. A fire and fighting-type, and the final evolve form of Fleo. The flames that make its mane never go out. Their pride usually follow the one with the greater firepower."

"So that's the final evolve form of a Fleo!" Davis said.

"But why would he use a fighting-type against a psychic-type?" Terra questioned. They'll find out soon enough.

"Now use Throat Chop!" Jason said. Royflame focused dark power in its claw and charged right in for the attack.

"Use Gyro Ball!" Simon called. Psyphant tried to battle back. The two attacks collided, but something surprising happened. It was Royflame that knocked Psyphant back. A lot of people couldn't believe it.

"Now use Cross Chop!" Jason called. Royflame crossed its claws and smashed it against Psyphant, but that attack appeared to have packed a punch as well despite not being very effective. "Finish this here and now. Use Royal Blaze!" Royal Blaze was Royflame's best attack. Royflame gathered all of it's firepower around its body. When it unleashed it into a blast, it caused a serious explosion. A dome of fire emerged right on the battle with flames that feel like they will never go out. Everyone couldn't believe how powerful Royflame really was. With that sort of power, Jason could have a chance. They all waited to see the smoke cleared away, but Jason was shocked to see Psyphant was still standing.

"That was a powerful Royal Blaze. You can tell it's additional effects would burn away any attacks that affect the field, but it still wasn't enough to win." Simon said. "Now use Psychic!" Pshyphant used its psychic powers and had a strong hold on Royflame. Using its mind, Psyphant bashed Royflame all over the field. "Now use Focus Blast!" Psyphant returned the favor by using its strongest attack and blasted Royflame with all its might. Royflame might have been Jason's best, but even it couldn't withstand a member of the Elite Four.

"Royflame lost, too!" Davis said as he couldn't believe it. Jason brought Royflame back and that was it.

"We're done." Jason said as he really just threw in the towel.

"I knew he give up."

"Did he think he really have a chance?"

"Loser."

"Shut it!" Davis called. "At least he was brave enough to try!"

"You're defending him?" Terra said.

"That battle must have really got to him." Imperialdramon said.

"That boy is right." Simon said to Jason. "It was a good try. Now, let's get them treated." Jason went along with it and people began to clear out from the ruins, but they all missed one other mysterious figure at the ruins.

...

The Pokemon Center

Simon and Jason went back to the Pokemon Center to help Jason's pokemon. They were all resting well and all appeared to be fine thanks to Nurse Joy.

"It looks like everything is okay." Simon said. "Jason, you raised these pokemon well, especially your Royflame."

"RoyFlame was actually my very first pokemon." Jason admitted with the others amazed.

"Incredible! You raised it from a Fleo?!" Cletus said.

"That's right. After that, I've been traveling around to find powerful pokemon that could take the Elite Four, then the champion." Jason claimed. "That's why I wanted to battle you, Simon. I needed to see how far I still need to go."

"I see. You certainly know what you want, and youre quite driven to get it." Simon said.

"He's not the only one. That's what i want as well." Davis said. "It be awesome to battle you guys and Fauna."

"It's always great to see aspiring trainers." Simon said. "I wonder if the Great Ones are pleased with this."

"Great Ones?" Davis questioned as they all wondered what he meant.

"That's what I like to call the two legendary pokemon: Vastnus and Unicris." Simon said. "I love learning more about those two, and the legend tied to them. In fact, the ruins I was studying was actually about those two. One embodies the land, the other embodies sky and heaven. It is believed that they helped create this world, providing wisdom and strength to others."

"Those two really are incredible pokemon." Terra said.

"You're telling me. I actually met Vastnus." Davis admitted.

"Did you?" Simon said as he and even Jason were surprised to hear that.

"Vastnus was the first pokemon I met when Imperialdramon and I first came to this region." Davis said as he could never forget what happened that day.

"That thing certainly did have some power. We're still not sure why it appeared to us the way it did." Imperialdramon claimed. "It was like it was checking us out or something."

"Fascinating." Simon said with Jason unable to understand why such a powerful pokemon would show itself to Davis. Just then, something strange happened. Psyphant came out of it's own pokeball. Psyphant's psychic abilities seem to sense something was disturbing the natural flow of things back at the ruins. "Psyphant? What's wrong?" Psyphant was trying to alert them about something for it seemed concerned.

"Psyphant seems to sense something." Imperialdramon said.

"Is something wrong?" Simon said. Psyphant seems to think so as it tried to show them. Thinking this was serious, all of them followed after Psyphant to see what was wrong.

...

The Ruins

Psyphant was right to be concerned. There were people disturbing the ruins, and not just anyone. It was the work of Team Twilight. They appeared to be examining the ruins as well with their leader watching things over. The leader of this bunch was dressed just like Jarvis was, but this man was wearing brown instead of purple with him wearing a hat on his head. What's more was that he was a little chunky, older, and had a blonde mustache.

"Search over every inch of these ruins. Leave nothing unturned. If there's a clue, we must find it."

"Stop!" The man took a look and saw Simon and the others arriving at the ruins. "What do you think you're doing?!" Simon said.

"Guys! Look!" Davis said.

"It's Team Twilight again!" Terra said.

"Team Twilight? Who are these losers?" Jason questioned.

"They're a mysterious organization, but they've been causing a lot of trouble for people and pokemon." Cletus said. "From what I can understand, they want to change the world. Take a look at how that one is dressed. He's just like the other one." He claimed as they remembered Jarvis.

"I'm going to have to ask you kindly to leave. I only ask kindly once as a curtesy." The leader warned. "We have every right to be here, and we do not want our worked to be disturbed."

"Perhaps, but you are disturbing a piece of sacred history and legend." Simon said. "Who are you and what business do you have here?"

"My name is Nervak, and I am one of the Six Primordials of Team Twilight." He claimed. "We are just simply gathering data on these ruins. We're not really doing anything wrong. Now..." He took out a pokeball and threw it out to have a Barbaracle to emerge. One that is more than ready for a fight. "I believe I asked you to leave."

"Barbaracle."

"Why should we? If you're not doing anything wrong, why should we leave?" Simon said as he knew not to trust them.

"I warned you. Barbaracle, get rid of them with Razor Shell." Nervak said. He snapped his fingers and Barbaracle attacked. It's claws grew with Razor Shell and attacked them.

"Imperialdramon, stop that thing!" Davis called.

"I got it!" Imperialdramon said as he got in the way and managed to stop Barbaracle in its tracks.

"You fool! It's got an extra set of arms!" Jason warned. He was right. Barbaracle used an extra set of arms and attacked and slashed them against Imperialdramon.

"Psyphant, stop this! Gyro Ball!" Simon called. Psyphant spun around and tried to smash itself against Barbaracle. Barbaracle crossed its arms and blocked the attack, but Psyphant was still pushed back.

"Razor Shell once again!" Nervak called. Barbaracle attacked once again and slashed it against Psyphant to knock it back as well. These guys still aren't messing around. "There's really no need for you to endanger your pokemon like this. Simply forget what you're seeing here and walkaway."

"Endanger, you say? What exactly does that mean?" Simon said. "These ruins are sacred to the great ones, Unicris and Vastnus. You have no right to disturb it."

"Big talk, but I'm afraid I simply don't have the time." Nervak said. "Barbaracle, Whirlpool!" Barbaracle formed a whirlpool and launched it right at all of them.

"Psyphant, stop it with Psychic!" Simon said. Psyphant used it's power and was able to stop the attack right where it was.

"Sir! We managed to scan every bit of the ruins! We can pullout and leave at once, then decipher all of it back at headquarters."

"Very well. We can't exactly waste our time with these fools." Nervak claimed. "Barbaracle, Stone Edge to prevent these fools from getting in our way." Barbaracle smashed it's claws against the ground and had rocks shoot out from the ground and cut them all off from the rest of them.

"I've got this!" Imperialdramon said as he smashed his way through the rocks. However, by the time they were able to clear out of the rocks, Team Twilight was already gone.

"They got away again!" Terra said.

"What a slippery bunch." Cletus said.

"What were they after here?" Davis said.

"Must be info about the two legendary pokemon. That's what these are the ruins are for." Jason said.

"You're right, but I don't like this." Simon said. "The stories of the two legendary pokemon should be used to share with others, educate, learn about our fine culture and region. However, those people plan to use it for malicious purposes." Simon certainly didn't like the story of the legendary pokemon was going to be used in such a way. Team Twilight managed to make their escape, but they took the details of the ruins with them. Nervak was looking over the data, and it really was about the two legendary pokemon. If Team Twilight is after those pokemon, they might take control of them. Doing so could also mean they could take control of the world.

...

Later

Thought they failed to stop Team Twilight from doing what they were doing, the ruins were still secured and unharmed. Jason got his pokemon and was ready to hit the road again. It didn't seem like he cared all that much for Team Twilight and was on his way.

"Jason..." Simon said. "It was rather nice meeting you."

"Thank you, and thank you for battling me." Jason said as he showed a little respect and was on his way.

"Jason!" Davis called. "When we meet again, we'll battle and I'm going to win!"

"You're still going on with that? You're a glutton for punishment." Jason said as he returned to his usual self.

"My, my... You boys certainly have some tension between you two." Simon said. "I think a little friendly competition might help break it. You're both aiming to take on the Elite Four and the champion, but what would you say if I told you that I knew where Fauna was."

"Fauna?! Grecko's champion?!" Davis said as he and the others were amazed he knew that.

"You mean... We could really meet the champion?!" Terra said as it seemed so unreal.

"This is awesome! Let's go, Jason!" Davis said.

"Count me out. If I couldn't beat him, there's no way I can beat her, and you definitely won't." Jason refused. "I've wasted enough time. I'm out of here." He claimed and was on the road once more, but he'll be seen again one day.

"You snooze, you lose. I'm going to meet Fauna herself." Davis said as he couldn't wait.

It was certainly an interesting experience with our heroes meeting another one of the Elite Four. Now, they might get to meet the champion herself. It's all going on as the journey continues.
