Katsuki Bakugo could vaguely recall only a few times he's been caught off guard in his life and most of the times it did include her. So, it was only expected when he found himself unable to do anything but stare in awe as his old classmate continued to smile down at them the way she always did like a beacon of hope and kindness and in that instance, it felt like a whole year hadn't even gone by and she'd never left. Hell, even the damn sun was hitting her in a way that made her look like some damn goddess, so what else was he supposed to do but stare.
She looked about the same except he could tell that she'd grown from the timid girl he knew first year to this woman now standing in front of them. Her hair was cut much shorter too than he was used to, but she still had those rosy, pink cheeks he remembered all too well and her rich brown colored doe eyes that began to pinch shut as her pleasant smile grew.
No matter how much she tried not to she just couldn't stop smiling or the flutter of butterflies in her stomach. Her eyes flicked between the two with Kirishima happily grinning in the toothy way he always did while Bakugo…well she couldn't really tell what he was thinking. But one thing was certain that both men were surprised.
She used this moment to let her eyes linger on his face, tracing every line and etching every detail into memory. She had dreamed about this moment so many times since she left and began feeling the hint of tears collecting in the rim of her eyes overflowing with pure happiness. As much as she didn't' want to feel this way knowing how much that would hurt her in the end, she shoved all that aside for now and welcomed the sight of him. The sight of the only man who still held her heart.
He looked the same although taller and she couldn't deny the fact that he still hit the gym religiously no doubt by the way his well-built broad muscular chest and defined abs could be seen through his black tank top and the way his strong ripped arms continued to rest on either side of him in shock, his hair was still as wild as ever which she was glad since that always explained his unique personality, but she did notice that it was now slightly trimmed, no doubt in an attempt to make it look more tamed.
Kirishimas eyes didn't miss the look of admiration in Bakugo's eyes that held the same expression as it did back in their UA days when they saw Uraraka float herself up on the rooftop of the school to speak to all the people to let Deku stay, and the many times after. But he was curious to know why she was here.
Clearing his throat Kirishima saw her eyes quickly dart back to him as Bakugo whipped his head away in an obvious attempt to hide the slow growing warmth on his cheeks at being caught staring like an idiot.
"Hey Uraraka, what are you doing here?"
"Oh, well I-" Pressing on her earpiece she firmly nodded before floating herself off the bus. "Got it, I'm on my way." Launching herself upwards with the support of her rocket boots she hesitantly looked back over her shoulder before going in the direction Tokoyami had told her the third van heading straight towards the train station.
"Wait!" Kirishima raised his hand only to watch her leave. Rubbing his head he turned to see Bakugo already grabbing him preparing to shot off in the same direction. "Oh man, not again."
"Uravity?" Mina spoke into her earpiece watching with panicked eyes as the train tracks a few meters in front of them began to move and bend in unnatural ways. "We have a slight problem here."
"What is it?"
"Well do you remember how I volunteered to help stop the train from colliding with the villains?"
"Yeah?"
"Well…" Turning her head she could see the conductor frantically pointing his finger towards the quickly approaching unshaped train tracks. "Seems one of their quirks is to control metal or something because if I'm not mistaken, WE'RE ABOUT TO DIE!"
Halting midair Uraraka looked down to see what Mina was talking about. Below she could see the fast-moving train approaching the tracks that now moved upwards until it snapped from its fasteners and hovering in the air.
"Holy fuck." Bakugos eyes widened as they began getting closer. "Must be one of the villains doing."
"I got the train." She said to no one in particular before shooting down.
"Guess that means we got the villains." Kirishima looked back to see Bakugo gape in the direction Uraraka had disappeared off to with a twitchy eye.
Back on the train Mina continued to think of how they could stop it when none of the buttons or emergency brakes worked while the conductor continued to whimper and cling onto her arm.
"A-are we really going to die?!"
"Of course not." She weakly smiled.
"But you said-"
"I say a lot of things." Mina dismissively waved her hand hoping it would convince and help calm this guy down. "We'll be fine. I hope…" She whispered the last part hoping she was right. She already tried using her quirk but at the speed they were going the huge thing still continued to skid forward.
"W-what was that?!" The conductor yelped when the sound of a light THUD could be heard on top of the train.
"Help." Mina confidently grinned knowing they would in fact make it out of this. "Uravity?"
"Here." Uraraka squinted her eyes trying to see through the wind blowing her bags in her eyes and the fast approaching cut off tracks. "Pinky hang on! Tokoyami?!"
"Ready!"
"Hope this works." She nervously inhaled slamming her hands down and using her quirk around the whole train engulfing it in a faint pink glow. It's been a while since she had to use that much of her quirk on something this big, but she couldn't falter now. There were at least 90 people on this train that needed saving.
In the street Bakugo roughly pulled the two villains out of the van and into the arms of the police officers. Kirishima winced at the incoming metal screeching of the train as it passed as Uraraka tried to stop it by increasing its weight but at the last minute couldn't put it to a complete stop and instead floated it upwards in time to avoid it crashing and into the awaiting giant hands of Dark Shadow.
"Oh good, they did it." Kirishima breath a big sigh of relief along with the other police officers and a growing crowd of reporters and civilians. With wide awe-stricken eyes Bakugo saw Tokoyami slowly place the train down with Uraraka's help before he remembered himself and they both began jogging over. "Hey you guys!" Kirishima happily waved but stopped short when he saw a familiar pink faced girl jump out of the train and excitingly hug her two friends before they saw them quickly float away.

Looking over the piles of papers on his desk, Shoto Todoroki tiredly rubbed his eyes before reluctantly reading another one to begin working on it. Who would've thought running a whole agency would require this much paperwork?
There was paperwork for damages done, repairs, new heroes that were joining the agency as well as transfers, new applications from Hero course students and the list continued on and on like a never-ending cycle of papers. Maybe that's why his father was the way he was.
Rubbing one hand down his face when he saw the same words replaying in front of his eyes today and quickly being followed with the familiar stomps that could be heard down the hall.
Damages to property…
Leaning back in his chair he swiftly turned to stand and look out the large glass window overlooking the city, wishing he was out there working today instead of being cupped up in here with a growing pile of migraine.
Sure, his father was getting ready to retire and hand off the agency to him which any person would be thrilled about having fresh out of high school and working with the people he cared about. And it wasn't as if he couldn't count on the man to be there in case he needed any help- which he never did anyways but found Endeavor at the agency regardless. Part of him knew that it was also due to Endeavor feeling reluctant to finally let go of a world he was so involved in for so long as well as his pride. He guessed it was the same way all retired heroes felt once they have to let go for someone else to take over…if heroes ever made it to that age that is.
"Knock knock." Kirishima grinned as he poked his head in to make sure they weren't intruding. "You busy man?"
Shaking his head Todoroki gestured him inside before the door was harshly kicked open and Bakugo marched in until he was irritably standing in front of Todorokis desk.
"Bakugo, something I can help you with?" Tilting sideways he saw Kirishima quietly close the door before giving him an apologetic smile.
Slamming his hands down on the pile of papers, Bakugo slowly glared at him. "You bet your ass you can."
"Sorry Todoroki, Bakugo insisted on seeing you before our shift ended." Kirishima awkwardly rubbed his neck. "We tried to let Honoka in the front desk know we were coming but…"
"That damn useless extra was too slow and does nothing but talk!" Bakugo snapped back at Kirishima before addressing Todoroki again. "How come you didn't tell me?" He growled through his teeth meeting Todoorki's eyes. He on the other hand didn't seem to understand what he was referring to since he just continued stare blankly at Bakugo as if expecting him to elaborate further. Rolling his eyes the blond began to lean away from his desk. "How come Shitty hair and I had to be the last to know about those idiots showing up?"
Slowly blinking back, Todoroki still wasn't sure which idiots he was referring to since it seemed Bakugo never outgrew his way of referring to everyone. So, he decided to look back at Kirishima and saw the red head amusingly shake his head.
"He's talking about Mina, Tokoyami and Uraraka." Kirishima explained.
"Oh that." Todoroki nodded in understanding.
"Yeah that." Bakugo's mocking tone successfully drew a slight frown from the other man.
"I assure you Bakugo I let everyone know."
"The hell you did!" Bakugo adamantly shook his head, more than sure he would've remembered something like that.
"Erm actually he kinda did…" Kirishima awkwardly scratched his cheek when his friend whirled around to face him. "You remember that small meeting last week you didn't want to go to?"
"Tch yeah!" He frowned remembering that day. "Why the hell would I want to sit in a room with a bunch of people I see almost every damn day?! Just shoot me a damn email instead."
"We did." Todoroki's monotone voice interrupted them. "But I'm guessing you deleted that along with some of the others we send."
"I…" Repeatedly opening his mouth he turned to see the two pointedly starring at him as if challenging him to disagree. "That's not the damn point! And how come you didn't tell me?! You never shut up anyway." He waved his hand at Kirishima.
"Woah now hang on." Kirishima calmly lifted his hands in front of him. "I knew they were coming; I just wasn't sure when."
"Regardless of whether you knew or not, that doesn't change anything with the way we work here."
"Meaning?"
"Bakugo, you haven't taken any of your days off in the last few months."
"What the hell does that even matter? Or are you just upset that I'm killing it out there better than you?" Smugly crossing his arms over his chest Bakugo knew when Todoroki wasn't happy with something in the way his eyes slightly narrowed and if you didn't pay attention, you could see the barely noticeable frown. Well at least he wasn't that angry otherwise Todoroki would definitely let you know. Smirking at himself Bakugo didn't realize he was ignoring whatever was being said until Kirishima nudged him. "WHAT?!"
With a deep long calm breath Todoroki felt his patient begin to falter as his tone hardened. "As I was saying…"
'Ok now he's pissed.' Bakugo fought the urge to laugh right then and there but kept his prominent scowl on when Todoroki continued talking.
"…in the last month alone, you've also damaged 6 properties, totaled 20 cars…"
"Oi that's not bad." Bakugo proudly grinned knowing it was less than before.
"I'm not done." Todoroki deadpanned, receiving an eye roll in return. "Not to mention complaints just the other day-"
"Wait you're talking about that old lady with the cat in the tree? Yeah, like you wouldn't have done the same." He lifted his hand to stop Todoroki. "And that was a bullshit call! Who the hell calls a hero for something you can do on your own?! Maybe that damn cat just wanted to get the fuck away from the old bat did you ever think of that?!"
"Bakugo, you exploded the whole tree."
"Yeah, but I got that cat out, didn't I? He pointed out. "The cat was fine and so was that lady."
Slowly blinking back Todoroki eyed him for a bit longer before continuing. "Bakugo, have you talked to your PR lately?"
"What for?" he quickly answered back exhaustingly groaning. "No, that bitch won't leave me alone."
"That's her job man." Kirishima smiled knowing how much his bro hated talking to her or anyone else he saw fit not to waste his time over.
"Look are we done? I have shit to do. Besides who died and made you boss?"
"Actually, he kinda is." Kirishima chuckled happily to see Todoroiki's eyes slightly crinkle in amusement.
It took everything he had not snap back and instead slowly breathed through his nose knowing there was no point in arguing over something that he hated to admit was true, at least for the moment being. "Damages?"
Glancing down at the folder Todoroki nodded watching Bakugo calmly pick up the top one to look over the report he had to fill out two weeks ago.
"Damages." Todoroki looked over at another pile of folders sitting on one of the other desks near the wall.
"Are you fuckin-"
"He'll look over them, right man?" Kirishima quickly placed a hand on Bakugo's shoulder when he saw him take a step forward.
"I bet Deku has more than me." He smugly dropped the folder back on the desk with a huff.
"Actually, all of us have had our moments that are unavoidable." Todoroki nodded in agreement. "But we always try to keep damages to a minimum. Even Midoriya."
"Fine. I bet that I'll outdo any one of you morons and try to keep damages to a damn minimum. Happy?"
"Sounds fair." Todoroki said hoping that would indeed be the case. It was no secret that he himself along with Midoriya and Bakugo were one the rising stars out there, but even after graduating there would always be this competitiveness between them with one always trying to outdo the other. But regardless of whether anyone of them achieved something greater, they would always be proud of each's progress.
"Alright I'm out."
"Also make sure you start taking your days off and not make us force you to take it off again."
"Whatever." He waved off as he continued to walk.
"Bakugo." Todoroki said, making him stop in his tracks. "Meeting at 4 today."
"Tch, is that all?"
Knowing this was going to require another long conversation Todoroki braced himself for what was to come. "Since you are aware that any damages done does cost us money, I'm afraid I'm going to have to deduct it from your paycheck."
"What did you just say?!" Slowly turning his menacing eyes towards the dual quirk user, Bakugo saw Todoroki already expecting that reaction when he began to stomp his way back over.
"Oh, I'm sorry I wasn't aware you were in a meeting." Yaoyorozu peeked through the door with her hand over her mouth.
"It's alright. Bakugo said he had some place to be." Todoroki watched as Yaoyorozu greeted the two before dropping down another set of folders on the desk.
"Damages?" Todoroki quirked an eyebrow.
Begrudgingly nodding Yaoyorozu pointedly glanced over at a furious Bakugo. "Damages."

Stepping into the Todoroki Agency she couldn't help but gawk at the luxurious tall skyscraper that made any person including her feel small and out of place. The front entrance was elegantly decorated with modern sleek art and the marble floors echoed with the busy constant footsteps of various people walking around from Sidekicks to other people dressed in pristine suits.
Uraraka had heard Deku ramble on about how enormous and jaw dropping this place was, but never would she have imagined it to be like this. The number of floors this place held was enough to make her dizzy with anticipation as to why she was even called here.
Taking a deep breath she hesitantly walked on over to the receptionist who seemed to be on the phone and therefore decided to politely wait until she was done.
Pressing her fingers together- a habit she still found it difficult to change along with some of the others- she quietly continued taking in everything around her and felt the excitement growing until the receptionist placed her hand over the receiver with a bored expression.
"Yes?"
Smiling Uraraka moved closer. "Um hi, I'm supposed to meet-" when she saw the receptionist raise her hand for her to stop, her smile slightly fell when she saw the woman continue on with her conversation on the phone.
Frowning she continued to patiently wait until she saw the receptionist end the call and look through a clipboard deciding to take a glance at her name tag Honoka.
"Name?"
"Ochaco Uraraka." She replied making sure to keep her friendly demeanor even as the receptionist finally decided to look up and give her a once over with an annoyed brow. "I'm supposed to meet Shoto Todoroki and the others."
Nodding the receptionist quickly picked up the phone again while glancing over her pink nail polish. She instantly piped up once the other line answered. "Mr. Todoroki you have a…?" Quirking a questioning brow at the other girl, she waited until Uraraka offered her name again. "Ochaco Uraraka here to see you, should I send her up? Ok."
Watching as Honoka slowly hung up the phone saw her roll her eyes before looking up at her once more.
"He said to stay put, he'll meet you here."
"Thank you." Uraraka felt her smile straining by the minute with the girls' sudden attitude, thinking that maybe she was just having a bad day until she heard the elevator doors open and a familiar face stepped out. "Todoroki!"
Momentarily stopping at the sound of his name, his eyes snapped towards the front desk meeting brown glimmering eyes he knew well from his years at UA. She happily waved and smiled at him before she nearly making him collapse backwards when she attacked him with a warm hug.
"Uraraka." He smiled down softly as he timidly accepted the hug and placed one hand on her back. "It's good to see you."
Giggling in the familiar way he would normally tense up; she slowly releases him to finally glance up at him. He was of course much taller than he used and build too but in a leaner way, his hair still remained the same red and white color split in the middle but longer and his eyes still held that gentleness she remembered anytime they'd talk back then. "It's good to see you too."
"And it's good to see me too!" Hawks lazily walked out of the elevator with Mina, Hagakure, and Tokoyami. "Come on, the rest of the group's waiting."
"Sorry I made you all wait for me." She spoke as she followed them to the elevators. "And you didn't have to come and-"
"Are you kidding?! This place is huge. You would've gotten lost the same way I almost did." Mina laughed. "But our buddy Todoroki here decided to make it his personal mission to escort each of us."
"How could I not, if it's my friends coming to visit." He frowned genuinely confused as to why he wouldn't.
"Too sweet!" The three girls gushed from behind him.

"Why the hell am I even here?" Bakugo groaned leaning back on the two back legs of his chair as he glared at the ceiling. This was why he hated coming to these damn meetings. Everyone made such a damn fuss about needing to be here on time without explaining why, which could have just as easily been sent in a damn email or text if it was so important, but no! Here they were waiting like a a bunch of morons in a room with other morons while waiting for the big morons to finally arrive.
"Because we're good heroes and as such it requires you to be here." Kirishima plainly said.
"Again, why the hell you drag me here?" He glanced sideways at Kirishima as he continued to tip back in his chair.
"Kacchan aren't you the least bit curious about what this is about?" Deku asked from the opposite side of the desk sitting next to Iida and Mineta. "I know I am."
"Nothing new." Bakugo scoffed. "Bedside's they're late."
"Yeah, usually Todoroki is one of the first ones here." Kaminari thoughtfully said sitting next to Jirou. "So, this must be big especially with both Ingenuim and Todoroki agency here." Just as he finished his sentence the door swiftly opened making them all straighten in their seats and turned to them.
"Sorry we're late." Hawks waved at everyone as he, Uraraka, Mina, Hagakure, Tokoyami, and Kenzo walked in.
"I must apologies as well since I was the one who called the meeting." Todoroki said as he sat himself down at the head of the table.
"No shit." Bakugo quietly mumbled as all four legs of his chair hit the ground with a light THUD. Any other time he'd flat out ask what the holdup was but something in the way those six remained standing next to Hawks without an ounce of emotion on their faces had successfully caught his attention.
The others however carried the same surprised shocked expressions he and Kirishima had earlier that day upon realizing some of their old classmates had returned.
"Now as some of you may already know…" Todoroki exchanged glances with both Kirishima and Bakugo before continuing. "Some members of the Hawks Agency have arrived just this morning and decided to help out with some of our captured villains earlier today."
Crossing his arms over his broad chest Bakugo continued to listen in on what Todoroki was saying. His eyes slowly dragged over their faces one by one until they stopped at a pair of molten chocolate eyes and pink cheeks as she stood with a dull serious expression on her face. It wasn't like he meant for his eyes to directly stop at her, but there were only a few times he remembered seeing her that way and the first was back when they were trying to get Deku to come back.
"So, as we've slowly began doing with Ingenuim agency as well as some of the others. We will be partnering with Hawks agency too. In order to establish better relationships as well as work with everyone to ensure the people's safety and proficiency in how we do things. With the Hero rankings no longer an issue we've had the opportunity to focus on the things that matter the most. The public's safety."
"Well said man." Hawks approvingly nodded before following up. "I'm sure you all know me as much as I remember some of the familiar faces sitting here today. And I know I don't speak for myself when I say that my team is just as thrilled to be part of this." Leaning sideways he whispered for only Uraraka to hear. "Like that, see I can be professional."
"Hawks."
"Right." He snapped his attention back to everyone waiting. "Now since my agency is located a little far in Kyushu, it makes traveling a little more difficult for us. Which is why I'll only have some of my team members here while the others will remain in my agency in Kyushu, but they will be here shall the need arise. Why you may ask?" He lifted his hand waving around a few pictures before dropping it down to reveal an all-too-familiar face they all rather forget. "Doctor Fujiwara."
"What?" They all leaned forward in their seats to get a better look.
"What, did you actually catch that old geezer?" Bakugo leaned forward as well to try and look at the surveillance photos they had of him at the airport.
"We were thinking about apprehending him at the airport it until we realized he wasn't carrying any belongings with him, which just proved my point that it be best to keep him under surveillance until we know why he's back and where he's keeping that brown box he received in Italy." Hawks continued to explain what all they had found out while gone and how they were keeping taps on him as well as the Ipponmichi members they had found out.
Meanwhile Uraraka continued to silently listen as her hands continued to fidget behind her back as she remained poised next to Hawks and Mina.
She quickly snuck a peek at everyone in the room who seemed overly focused now on what the pro hero was saying and felt Mina on the verge of exploding with excitement. She couldn't deny the small smile wanting to make an appearance being surrounded with faces she missed seeing so much, but right now she had to keep calm at least until this meeting was done. Hey eyes continued to go down the line until she spotted Bakugo silently listening and waiting until it was his turn to get a good look at the pictures.
She had hoped that the pain would lessen once she left but no amount of time or distance would relive the ache in her heart. Even now she found herself intriguingly watching him as memories upon memories flooded her mind as he calmy looked over the pictures.
How could one single look from him bring back so many emotions she desperately tried to hide away for so long, try and crawl its way out into the surface as soon as she laid eyes on him back at bridge. Anytime she looked at the few pictures she still kept of him or even just the mere sight of her precious baby boy would constantly remind her of what she had lost…of how she was willing to sacrifice her own heart for the sake of keeping them both safe and alive.
When she saw him briefly glance up as if sensing eyes on him, she quickly looked away before he managed to catch the flicker of longing in her eyes being replaced by a brave facade.
"…that's actually the reason we came back." Hawks answered one of Dekus' questions which Uraraka had unintentionally missed. "Our agencies all over the world have been in constant contact in sharing any new valuable information we have. As you know I have assigned this team here…" he gestured to the six of them. "Along with one of my crew members from my support department and Earphone Jack here." He gestured to Jirou who smiled at them. "…to spearhead this operation for a year and I'm proud of what we have accomplished so far, and we're hoping with everyone's help in keeping an eye out for us so we can finally put an end to this."
"So, to be clear, any information we come across even if by pure accident will need to be directed and handled by them." Iida clarified. "Meaning we are not to intervene with their investigation." Iida made it a point to stare at a few of his friends.
"We will however offer our assistance in doing our regular jobs here too." Hawks said.
"With that being said, patrols, shifts, everything will remain the same as it has for now. But if you have any questions or concerns feel free to bring them up to any one of us." Todoroki looked to see both Iida and Hawks nod in agreement.
"I believe that is all for now." Todoroki began getting up.
"It's good to be back." Hawks excitingly clapped as he began following his group out first.
While everyone began filing out of the room, Bakugo remained rotted to his spot in his seat lightly tapping the pictures in his hand against the table as an idea slowly began growing in his mind.
