Granny was bitten a few years ago and started to feel a strange urge in her body. She rushed outside and into the woods and transformed into a wolf and ran around for a while and then transformed back into a human when the full moon began to fall.
"Well, well, well." said a new voice. "Looks like we found the beast, my friends."
Granny turned around to see huntsmen surrounding her. She wept in fear and hid behind a tree.
"You can't hide anymore from us." said another huntsman.
"Kill it!" shouted another.
"No, let's have some fun with it." smiled the first huntsman. "Fight us you beast! Let's see how you can survive all of us in your petty little girl form. Come on little wolf, fight!"
All the other huntsmen laughed and the first one held his spear out at Granny's throat but just before he could slice her head off, he stopped and so did the others in time. The moon arose again even though just before, it was just about to set.
"Need some help?" echoed a voice.
"What's going on?" asked Granny.
"Is your plan to stand around cause I suggest you fight back."
"I don't know how."
"Transform."
Granny's body began to turn back into her wolf form and she felt even stronger than before.
"Whoa, how did you do that?" asked Granny.
"I'm just helped you control your body."
"That's so cool!"
"Anyways, let's go. I have no respect for bullies, those with an ego are wrong! I know enough to understand this kind of filth. Let's teach this dog a lesson! This little wolf has a larger heart than all these men combined! Fight!"
Granny leapt at the hunter and bit his face off and killed him. Granny defeated the hunters and their blood made the snow red and she transformed back into her human form.
"Who are you?" asked Granny. "And thank you."
A tall woman with purple hair and a purple dress appeared in front of her.
"I'm Artemis - Greek goddess of the hunt."
"Goddess? Only men can be hunters."
"Says who? I'm all about the rights of women, we can do as much as a man can. Remember that, child."
"Wait! Please, I hate this form, I'm a monster."
"Embrace it child, the wolf is your friend."
"No, I'm a beast, please take this curse off of me."
"No one can take the wolf's curse off. However, I can help."
Out of air, Artemis made a red hood as the moon transformed red into a Blood Moon and she handed the hood to her.
"What is your name?" asked Artemis.
"Widow." replied Granny.
"Well, Widow, this hood is enchanted. If your wear it, you won't transform into a wolf on the full wolf and you will maintain your human form."
"Thank you, Artemis."
"However, like all magic, there is a price. Over time your wolf form will fade and you will live to regret it."
Author's note:
I wanted to go a little bit into Granny's backstory and I was listening to some music while listening to it and it was 'Little Wolf' in Epic: The Musical. I am such a huge fan of it and I think that the song would sound nice if it was sung by Artemis. Full credits to Jorge Rivera-Herrans for this.
