And so, we're at the penultimate chapter to the Season 2 finale! I really appreciate everyone's support as we get closer to being caught up to where the story's at on Archive of Our Own. The next chapter will feature a small preview to what'll be ahead in Season 3, I promise.

Anyways, I hope you all enjoy this chapter!

"Ugh..." Rebecca groaned as she sat down in her seat, still reeling from the battle against All Might yesterday. It was a miracle that she, Izuku and Katsuki survived the whole ordeal against the number one hero. Even more shocking was the fact that they wound up cooperating in the end.

"Morning, everybody!" Shiki exclaimed in greeting as he entered the classroom.

"M-Morning, Shiki!" Ochaco stuttered back, giving him a wave. He flashed her a bright smile, making her blush a bright red.

"Nice to see that he's looking a lot more chipper, ribbit," Tsuyu pointed out, getting Rebecca's attention as she was standing beside her.

"Yeah, that's really nice," she agreed, giving off a small smile. At that moment, she noticed Izuku walk into the room, talking with Fumikage. She shot up from her seat and jogged over to hug him, much to his surprise as he yelped. However, he sighed with a smile, hugging her warmly.

"Hey, move it," Katsuki's voice suddenly said, causing the pair to perk up as they noticed him trudging in with his usual scowl upon his face.

"S-Sorry, Kacchan!" Izuku stammered, moving aside. Rebecca merely stuck her tongue at him as a taunt, prompting him to scoff.

"It's so nice to see Midoriya and Rebecca being so warm and fuzzy with each other!" Toru noted happily with her invisible hands upon her cheeks.

"Mina, aren't you excited to see something like that?" Tsuyu asked, looking over to the Acid Quirk user's desk. To her surprise, the pink-skinned girl had her face down with a blank expression upon her face. She looked... traumatized.

"I guess after seeing how Sister 'played' with her in their match, she isn't exactly in the best state of mind..." Tenya concluded, adjusting his glasses.

"I'll be fine..." Mina claimed in response, exhaling a groan, "I'm just upset that we're not gonna be going to the summer camp..." she pointed out sadly.

"Yeah..." Hanta agreed. In the meantime, Minoru was crying blood in the background.

"You know, I'm actually kinda nervous for us..." Eijiro admitted with Denki beside him, "Our teams won our matches, but we got ourselves taken down before the matches were decided..." he recalled, "So there's probably a good chance we failed, too..." he added ominously. Those among the crowd who knew they had gotten knocked out all shivered with worry.

"Everyone take your seats," Shota instructed as he entered the classroom. As he started talking about a few housekeeping items, Ochaco was finding herself staring over at Shiki, who still wore a smile on his face. He had really done his part as her teammate by stopping Thirteen and saving her and Momo. The determination he showed was infectious.

As she kept staring, tuning out whatever her teacher was saying, she noticed something. Momo was also staring at him. And she had a blush upon her face as well. The two of them then caught glances... and their faces practically exploded red.

'Oh no...!' they both exclaimed simultaneously through their thoughts in realization.

"Anyways, regardless of who failed the exams..." Shota began to the class, "everyone's going to the summer camp!" he declared, much to everyone's surprise. Another logical ruse to motivate everyone, and it had worked in more ways than one. "First off, no one bombed the written exam," he assured to his students, "However, seven of you failed in the practical," he pointed out, "One team, and four students between three other teams," he added, causing some of the students in the room to flinch, particularly Mina, Hanta, and Minoru, as they knew they were the one team that failed, "First, Kirishima and Sato..." he said, looking towards the pair who had gone into the first match. They both widened their eyes as their jaws dropped.

"Crap..." the Hardening Quirk user muttered out, while his teammate lowered his head in shame.

"You two wound up knocked out right away, and Steiner had to pull all the weight against both Hermit and Cementoss on his own," their teacher explained as they groaned. Meanwhile, Weisz chuckled.

"Oh, come on, teach!" he exclaimed sheepishly, "I don't think I deserve that much credit..." he admitted, rubbing the back of his head.

'Wow, how modest...' Rebecca grumbled sarcastically to herself, rolling her eyes.

"Next is Kaminari," Shota continued as the Electrification user flinched, "Like the others, you got knocked out before you could really do anything," he noted. Fumikage and Tsuyu gave off sad looks for their classmate, who lowered his head. "And also, Aoyama," the Erasure Quirk user mentioned.

"Moi?!" Yuga exclaimed, while both Shoto and Homura blinked in surprise.

"It was close, but you barely missed the threshold," his teacher told him, "Compared to Todoroki and Kogetsu, you didn't do enough I'm afraid," he pointed out additionally.

"Oh... is that right...?" the Navel Laser Quirk user inquired, lowering his head sadly.

"That's too bad..." Shoto admitted.

"He did help me with capturing Mister Aizawa, though I believe that was all he could do..." Homura added, putting her right hand over her mouth.

"For those of you that failed, you'll be taking on tougher challenges at the summer camp than your passing classmates," Shota told the specific students, "And trust me, they'll be a lot harder than they would've been if you passed..." he mentioned ominously.

"Oh dear..." Momo uttered out.

"At least we're still all going to camp!" Shiki noted excitedly.

"Yeah, I guess that's true enough!" Toru agreed. Already, the end of the first semester was upon the students. But there would be much more things to come...

"Shopping?" Rebecca inquired near the end of the school day, having been approached by Mina and Ochaco.

"Yeah, for camp and stuff!" the Zero Gravity Quirk user responded.

"Since we're all going now, we might as well stock up on the things we need!" the Acid Quirk user added.

"You sound a lot more chipper compared to earlier, Mina," Tsuyu chimed in as she came over, "Guess you got over losing to Sister since we're all going to the summer camp," she pointed out. Mina turned away and slouched.

"Don't bring her name up... ever again..." she insisted, sounding quite mortified again.

"Oh dear..." Ochaco uttered out.

"Well, if we're shopping for camp stuff, we might as well invite the guys and everyone else," Rebecca advised, getting their attentions, "That way, we can help each other when it comes to shopping!" she mentioned.

"Ooh, good call!" Mina agreed. Little did they know that listening outside of the room while sucking on her lollipop was Maria, who gave off a smirk.

"Guess I know what I'm doing this weekend..." she confirmed while pulling out her phone.

"The Kiyashi Ward Shopping Mall!" Mina exclaimed as she and several of the Class 1-A students had arrived to partake in a spree at the complex. The only ones not there for the day were Shoto and Homura, who had prior commitments that day, and Katsuki, who didn't want to come.

"Man, this place has everything!" Eijiro pointed out excitedly.

"Where can a guy like me get binoculars and a small drill...?" Minrou wondered aloud.

"I could definitely use some better kicks for camp," Weisz admitted, checking his somewhat worn shoes.

"I need a new bag..." Kyoka mentioned.

"Since everybody's got different stuff they need to grab, let's try to meet up back here in a bit!" Shiki advised, wearing a black tank top and a headband with cargo shots and sneakers.

"Y-Yeah, that sounds good...!" Ochaco stammered in agreement, blushing as she tried not to stare at him.

"Let's meet up in fifteen to twenty minutes!" Eijiro insisted. With that, everyone went on their separate ways, with some being in small groups, while others wandered off on their own. Izuku and Rebecca were the ones left behind, staring at their departing friends.

"So... what do you need for camp?" the latter of the two asked of her best friend, getting his attention. He saw that she was wearing a black-and-white spaghetti strap top with a white mini skirt and a pair of knee-length boots, while her ash blonde hair was in pigtails. He blushed a little.

"Uh, just a few extra weights to up my training in the off time..." he answered, glancing off to the side, "What about you?" he asked curiously. The Leaper Quirk user raised a finger to her chin.

"Probably some comfier clothes... and a brand new Switch controller!" she responded with an excited sparkle in her eyes.

"Y-You're bringing your Switch?" the One For All inheritor inquired, quite surprised as he blinked.

"Just for the off hours," his best friend pointed out in reply, "I'm gonna want a second controller if I start a gaming tournament with the girls!" she mentioned cheekily.

"Then... I guess we'll meet back here later," Izuku concluded sheepishly. Rebecca giggled.

"I'll be sure to get you something nice, too," she promised to his surprise, seeing her jog off. A small smile came across his face as he watched her go. She had always been his biggest supporter, and she had helped him and Katsuki overcome the trial that was facing All Might in their exam. He wanted to get her something nice, too. But little did he realize that there was a hooded figure lurking around the corner...

Rebecca wandered into the gaming store and immediately went over to the desired section to find the specific controller she was looking for. She crouched down and put her hand onto her chin, looking over the prices. They varied, but not by much. She selected the cheapest one and peeked into her wallet, seeing how much money she had. She definitely had enough, but she wanted to be sure to have some extra left over to buy some more important things, along with a gift for her friend.

"Wow, never expected to see you in a place like this..." a familiar voice chimed in, getting her attention as she pocketed her wallet and stood. She glanced over to see Maria, who was dressed in a striped tank top of sky blue and black with short shorts and sandals.

"Oh, uh, hey!" she greeted, somewhat surprised to see the Slime Quirk user there, "Haven't seen you since the Sports Festival..." she remembered.

"Yeah," Maria responded, "You a gamer girl?" she guessed, spotting the controller in her hands.

"Uh, sorta..." the Leaper Quirk user replied, sheepishly rubbing the back of her head, "I mean, I'm always happy to play a few games with friends and-" She stopped talking as she felt something press against her stomach. She glanced down and widened her eyes in horror to find that it was a gun in Maria's hand.

"Scream, and you're dead," she threatened, causing Rebecca to shiver with fright, "You and I are gonna have a little talk about your Quirk..." she said, taking the Leaper Quirk user forcefully by her arm into a deeper part of the store where no one would see them...

Uh oh. Looks like things are starting to get serious as we close in on the season finale. What'll happen next? Well, we'll see.

Thanks for reading!
