Hope you all enjoy the chapter!
"I can't believe this happened..." Rebecca admitted solemnly. As she and the others were still waiting for Katsuki and Eijiro to show up, the island's security system had apparently gone off over a bomb threat. The whole island had basically gotten locked off, and there was no internet.
"Ugh, I can't even stream this!" Labilia grumbled in frustration, "How come there's even a bomb on the island?!" she wondered aloud, "Shouldn't the heroes have taken care of it by now?!" she inquired.
"Midoriya and Jiro should be back with an answer soon," Tenya assured in response.
"And there are bystanders, Labilia," Rebecca pointed out additionally, "You can't expect heroes to get the job done like that..." she mentioned with a snap of her fingers for emphasis.
"Hmph!" the blue-haired girl huffed, turning her head away.
"You said the security system wouldn't act like this for a bomb threat, right?" Weisz inquired of Melissa, getting her attention.
"Yeah..." she replied in confirmation with a nod, "Not to mention that we could probably be at risk..." she added with narrowed eyes.
"Guys!" Izuku called out, getting their attentions as they saw him run over alongside Kyoka.
"Midoriya, you're back," Shoto noted.
"What's going on at the party?" Minoru inquired out of concern.
"We'll explain later!" Kyoka promised, "Right now, we need to move to the stairwell!" she advised, waving for the others to follow.
"Wait, what's happening?" Rebecca wondered aloud as she got up, "Are All Might and the others okay?" she questioned on. She and the others followed their classmates, being led to the stairwell. And after a few minutes of explanation, they learned what had happened.
It wasn't a bomb threat that triggered the security system lockdown, but instead that villains had hijacked the system. And to make matters worse, they had restrained all of the heroes before taking David and his assistant Samuel up to the top of the tower. With the island's security essentially on par with that of the Tartarus prison, escape was next to impossible. So all the students could do was wait.
"We should do something!" Shiki insisted as he stood up and clenched his fists.
"Sh-Shiki!" Ochaco stammered.
"Yeah, I can use my Machina Maker to get us a way outta here," Weisz pointed out, "That way, we don't have to get ourselves in trouble," he mentioned assuredly.
"But what if you wind up making things worse?" Rebecca inquired bluntly, making him grimace.
"Shouldn't we try to help somehow?" Kyoka asked of the group.
"Hey, those are real villains you said we'd be up against!" Denki pointed out emphatically.
"So that does mean we shouldn't even try?" Shoto guessed.
"Well... it's complicated..." Momo noted sadly as she lowered her head a little.
"All those people are in trouble... and we're just left to stand by?" Homura assumed, clenching her fists tightly.
"They've got All Might!" Minoru mentioned loudly, "What the heck can we do?!" he inquired. Everyone seemed split on the issue. Rebecca looked over to her best friend, who seemed troubled by the news. The last time they had stuck themselves into a situation that they shouldn't have been in, they barely escaped with their lives. But now... there was no one that could help.
"...I want to save them," Izuku declared, causing everyone to look over at him in surprise.
"Midoriya, that's-!"
"No, we don't have to fight!" the freckled teen shouted, interrupting Tenya, "All we need to do is get the security system back from the villains and then let the heroes deal with them from there," he explained to the group, "That way, we can help them and avoid fighting," he pointed out seriously.
"It sounds like a good idea... but you know it's not gonna be that easy..." Denki noted aloud.
"No, he's got a good plan," Melissa affirmed, getting everyone's attention, "If we get to the top floor and reset the security system, we can release the heroes from the villains control," she told the group.
"And with All Might and the others free, those bad guys are as good as done for!" Shiki added confidently as he punched his left hand.
"If that's how we're going about this, then I'll definitely join you," Shoto decided.
"Todoroki..." Izuku uttered out.
"I'm going as well," Homura affirmed, "It'd be wrong of us to not do anything in such a situation," she mentioned with a determined expression.
"Yeah," Kyoka agreed.
"Well, I guess it's better than just sitting around..." Weisz grumbled as he rubbed the back of his head. One by one, the other students agreed to help, whether reluctant or not. Izuku then turned to Melissa.
"It's probably gonna be a dangerous climb up..." he pointed out to her, "You should probably stay here since-"
"Do you how to disable the security system?" she interjected in question, causing him to flinch.
"Okay, good point..." he realized sheepishly, rubbing the back of his head, "We'll keep you safe," he promised.
"Labilia, you should come with us, too," Rebecca insisted of the blue-haired girl, getting her attention as she blinked in surprise.
"Uh, I'm totally not looking to get killed in a suicide mission..." she remarked in response, turning away with a huff. The Leaper Quirk user sighed... but then widened her eyes as she realized something, letting off a cheeky grin.
"You might not be able to livestream this whole thing," she pointed out, making Labilia perk up, "but you can still record everything, can't you?" she inferred, "And I'm betting that it'll make a super awesome video to show off how you joined us to rescue All Might and the other heroes!" she mentioned with a wide smile. The blue-haired girl's eyes sparkled.
"W-Well..." she stuttered out, "I... suppose it'd be a good video..." she admitted with a huff.
"That's the spirit!" Rebecca exclaimed as she winked, "Let's save the heroes, guys!" she insisted of her friends.
The tower was far larger than anyone could've imagined, with Melissa pointing out that it was 200 floors tall. All the group could do was just head up the stairs. Labilia found herself needing to be carried, which Denki was more than glad to do as Minoru seethed in frustration. By the time they reached the 80th floor, they had reached a shutter door that blocked them off.
"Should we break it?" Weisz guessed, about to press his hand upon the shutter.
"No, that'll just alert the villains that we're heading up..." Melissa pointed out in reply.
"And they'll come right to us..." Tenya grimly added.
"So why not just open this door?" Minoru inquired as he pulled open a door they were next to.
"Wait, don't!" Melissa screamed. Unfortunately, it was too late. Thanks to the Pop Off Quirk user, the villains were alerted to the presence of the students.
"Nice going, you little perv!" Rebecca yelled at Minoru in frustration as they hurried down the corridor they had entered.
"We had nowhere else to go!" he argued.
"Now's not the time for this!" Shoto shouted, getting their attentions, "We need to hurry!" he pointed out, seeing that shutter doors through the corridor were closing, including the one leading to the room ahead.
"We're not gonna make it!" Ochaco exclaimed. Activating his Quirk as green markings appeared upon his hands, Shiki rocketed forward, rearing his right fist back.
"Magimech Attack..." he started to bellow, "GRAVITY FIST!" he exclaimed, punching the shutter door to make it burst open.
"Whoa!" Melissa yelped in surprise, while Ochaco and Momo were just as awed by their classmate's power. They glanced at each other and both blushed out of embarrassment. Tenya went ahead and kicked the door to the next room open.
"What the heck is this place for?" Weisz wondered aloud as the group wandered into what Melissa told them was the Plant Factory. The botany was researched in terms of how some plants could affect Quirks. There was an elevator at the end of the hall, though the Quirkless girl mentioned that none of them could access it. And to make matters worse...
"Guys, the elevator's coming up!" Kyoka warned. Immediately, everyone hid themselves in the foliage, hoping that they wouldn't be spotted. The elevator arrived, with the doors opening to reveal three of the villains, of them being Garrot.
"Fan out," he instructed, pulling a whip off from his belt, "We're not leaving until we find those kids..." he said, letting his weapon drag along the ground. One of his colleagues was a skinny, strange-looking man with pale yellow skin and a face shaped similar to that of a goat, possessing two small triangular ears and a flat nose consisting only of nostrils. He had thin, dark eyes that were slanted sharply inwards and visibly sharp teeth. His dark green hair was mohawk-shaped and connected around his ears along his cheekbones, and he also had a small goatee.
The other was a middle-aged man with lightly tanned skin and a round head that appeared to merge into his thick neck with little distinction. He had small, black eyes that remained closed, set close together on his face, notably small eyebrows and a visibly hooked nose. His dark hair was very short, and was worn in a round shape on the top of his head with two stripes of hair, that go around the back of his head, visible below.
"Izuku, were those guys at the party?" Rebecca quietly asked of her best friend.
"Yeah..." he answered. Garrot walked about the area, looking around until he spotted something, letting off a grin.
"Found ya," he remarked, causing those hiding in the bushes to flinch in surprise. However, it turned out that the whip-wielding villain was referring to Katsuki and Eijiro, who were both in the area and dressed in suits of their own.
"Garrot, you sure there aren't any more kids around?" the skinny villain inquired of his colleague.
"Wolfram said 'kids' and there's two right here," he replied, "But I guess I'll take a look around while you deal with 'em," he decided with a shrug, "Try not to rough 'em up too much..." he insisted, "That's my job..." he pointed out as he walked off.
"That guy's still looking for us...!" Minoru whispered in a panic.
"But Bakugo and Kirishima are in trouble!" Tenya noted with a grimace upon his face.
"So, you kids need to come with us!" Nobu insisted of the two U.A. students in front of him.
"Or what?" Katsuki growled in question.
"Hey, let me handle this..." Eijiro insisted as he patted his friend on the shoulder, stepping forward, "Uh, sorry..." he apologized sheepishly, "We just got lost on our way to the reception..." he claimed, rubbing the back of his head.
"How do you get to the eightieth floor looking for the reception?!" Rebecca whispered emphatically in question.
"That's it!" Nobu yelled, "We're not playing games anymore!" he shouted, enlarging his right hand into a webbed claw to everyone's surprise. He swung it out, unleashing a powerful rush of air that was about to strike the redheaded teen.
"Kirishima!" Izuku exclaimed, about to rush out to save him. All of a sudden though, a wall of ice washed over the villains, blocking the attack and entrapping them.
"Huh?" Garrot uttered upon overhearing, widening his eyes to see the icy spire. Shoto exhaled a cold breath afterwards, standing up fully.
"Are you two alright?" he asked of Katsuki and Eijiro, getting their attentions.
"Uh, yeah..." the latter responded.
"What the heck's going on?" the former asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Well, so there was more of you..." Garrot noted, causing everyone to perk up and see him swing his whip, "I'll take my time... breaking each last one of you brats!" he declared, having his whip head toward the Half-Cold, Half-Hot Quirk user. However, it was deflected back by the energy blade conjured by Homura, much to his surprise.
"Go on ahead, everyone," she insisted, taking a tight grip on her weapon.
"We'll keep these guys here," Shoto assured, planting his right hand onto the ground to form a column of ice to lift up the others.
"OMG, we're about to see Class One-A in live action!" Labilia excitedly exclaimed as she aimed her cube-shaped device to start recording while hopping off from Denki's back, "Well, not live, but-"
"Labilia, not now!" Rebecca sharply interjected, causing her to flinch.
"Seriously, what the heck's going on?!" Katsuki yelled to Shoto as he watched the remainder of the group escape to the next area they could.
"Villains have taken over the security system," Homura answered to his shock.
"That's right..." Garrot pointed out, getting their attentions, "And you kids aren't going anywhere..." he added sinisterly. At that same moment, both Nobu and Daigo broke out from the ice spire, with the latter transforming himself into a large, gorilla-like beast with purple skin. The four U.A. students gathered around each other, readying themselves for battle...
The battle to save I-Island from villains has begun! And with that, we'll be hopefully moving on to the next chapter tomorrow! Thanks for reading!
