And we're almost to the finish line! We've got this and one more chapter left before we're fully caught up in "Through the Rough"! I promise you, this will all be worth the wait in the end.
Now it's time for the big final fight of this arc before we close it out on a high note! Hope you all enjoy it!
"How fast can you reset the security system?" Rebecca asked as she, Shiki, Labilia and Melissa arrived at the control room. The latter of the group quickly sat down and started typing on the keyboard.
"It'll just take a few minutes," she replied, wiping away the tears pricking her eyes. Clearly, she was overwhelmed by all she had learned about her father in the past ten minutes. And Rebecca could tell that she was struggling to keep it together.
"We should go help Izuku take those jerkwads down!" Shiki insisted as he took off, ripping his tie off from his suit.
"W-Wait, Shiki!" the Leaper Quirk user stammered, "We still need to keep Melissa safe in case-!"
"Go," Labilia suddenly interjected to her surprise, "I'll look out for any trouble," she promised, "You go help Midori," she insisted. Needless to say, Rebecca was shocked to hear her rival sound so selfless. But she took it in stride and smiled, hurrying off after Shiki. "Huh..." the content creator sighed, clicking her cube-shaped device to turn it off. Now wasn't the time for videos. Not at this critical moment.
Outside, Wolfram was loading the captured David and the case onto a helicopter, promising to kill the professor after he made him commit to a few more misdeeds for his sake. But just as they were about to leave, Izuku arrived, demanding the villains return David. He was shocked that the One For All inheritor was even willing to try and save him at all.
"I wonder..." the boss villain began, "did you come here to make this man pay for his crimes?!" he inquired of the freckled teen.
"Of course not!" he shouted in response, "I'm here to rescue David Shield from the likes of you!" he declared, rushing out at his opponent.
"Even though he's a criminal?!" Wolfram yelled back in question, planting his right hand against the floor to unleash a metal pillar out toward his foe.
"You watch...!" Izuku growled out, jumping up to evade the pillar, "I'm going to save everyone!" he vowed as he kept on dodging the attacks, "That includes the professor!" he added emphatically.
"It doesn't look like that to me!" the boss villain exclaimed, unleashing more iron pillars from the floor.
"SHUT UP!" the One For All inheritor roared back, "This is what heroes do!" he proclaimed, while dodging the pillars coming toward him, "They help people who're in trouble!" he screamed.
"How exactly?" Wolfram asked, aiming his gun out toward David. Izuku hesitated.
"Don't..." the professor uttered out, "Run away!" he yelled desperately. The One For All inheritor landed down, not taking another move toward the helicopter.
"Geez..." the boss villain chuckled, "Being a hero sure is inconvenient..." he noted, "I barely used my power and yet, you're helpless!" he proclaimed, creating a single iron pillar that was about to slam into Izuku. But all of a sudden, a figure dashed in and struck the pillar, holding it back. It turned out to be Shiki, whose right sleeve ripped off as the weight of his punch crushed the pillar in a fierce blast of dust. "Agh, you again..." Wolfram growled out, aiming his gun. However, he heard a thud behind him, looking into the helicopter and widening his eyes to see Rebecca there, holding David's arm around her shoulders.
"Hold on, Professor..." she said, "We're gonna get you outta here," she promised.
"Stop!" the boss villain yelled, about to fire his gun at them. However, Shiki gravitationally pulled the weapon out from his grasp into his, crushing it in his right hand. That allowed for Izuku to lunge over and land a left hook to Wolfram's face, sending him stumbling aside. He growled angrily, forming several metal pillars that were thinner and sharper.
"Ah!" the One For All inheritor gasped, struggling to hop and jump around them. The Satan Gravity Quirk user found himself in trouble as well, floating about to try and evade the metal spears. Unfortunately, one managed to pierce his left shoulder.
"AAAGGGHHHHH!" he screamed in agony.
"Shiki!" Izuku cried out. His distracted state allowed for Wolfram to strike him with another large iron pillar, slamming him into one more before bashing through both with yet another to send him flying.
"You kids aren't smart enough yet to be heroes..." Wolfram muttered, watching as both boys fell onto the ground, grimacing in agony. He then turned back to the helicopter, seeing that Rebecca was about to disembark from the other side of it with David. He made a small metal pillar shoot out and slam into the Leaper Quirk user's back, knocking her out of the helicopter while also causing the professor to fall back down. "Take off!" he called out to the pilot. The helicopter started to fly up from the landing pad as Izuku and Rebecca watched on in shock, while Shiki was bandaging his wound with what remained of his dress shirt.
Reactivating his Quirk, Izuku charged up onto one of the metal pillars, roaring all the while. Knowing that the only metal Wolfram could access was upon the helicopter, he took a great leap into the air, latching onto the vessel and causing it to go off-balance.
"Izuku!" Rebecca cried out from below, while Melissa and Labilia had just arrived onto the scene. The One For All inheritor again pleaded for David to come with him, especially since his daughter was down there waiting. Wolfram tried to shoot at him, but the professor knocked him aside just as he fired, making the bullet hit the floor instead. However, the shock from it caused Izuku to lose his grip, making him plummet toward the ground below. "IZUKU!" Rebecca screamed, quickly running over and jumping up to catch her best friend, crashing into the ground with him.
"Deku! Rebecca!" Melissa exclaimed, quickly running over to them alongside Labilia. Thankfully, neither of them were severely hurt as they sat up from the ruined landing pad. But Izuku was more frustrated than ever.
"Come back...!" he gasped out, "Let him go!" he screamed, "DON'T TAKE THE PROFESSOR!" he bellowed, "DAMN ITTTTTTT!" he cursed up into the sky.
"Izuku..." Rebecca uttered worriedly.
"Don't you dare lose that smile! Alright, Young Midoriya?!" a familiar voice insisted, causing the One For All inheritor to gasp in surprise.
"That voice...!" Shiki exclaimed in realization as his eyes sparkled. Having shot up to the top of the tower in an instant, All Might was finally on the scene. And immediately, he took out the helicopter while also rescuing David, who was in his arms.
"All Might..." he uttered out, completely stunned to see that his old friend had saved him.
"Papa!" Melissa exclaimed as she came over alongside the others to check on him.
"Melissa..." he said as his bindings came undone, "I'm... so sorry..." he apologized, causing All Might to give off a surprised expression, "I never meant to-" All of a sudden, a metal pillar streaked in and slammed into the number one hero, knocking him away.
"All Might!" Izuku cried out, seeing him slide back to a stop. In the meantime, metal wires burst up from the ground and ensnared David, pulling him away as he yelled.
"Papa!" his daughter screamed. Several pieces of machinery were coming together, all being under the manipulation of Wolfram as the Quirk Amplifier was upon his head.
"I heard everything..." he pointed out, "All Might's Quirk is failing... and he doesn't have the same unstoppable power he once did!" he noted aloud.
"Tch!" the number one hero scoffed, "You really don't know when to give up, do you?!" he inferred, dashing forward in an instant and rearing his left fist back, "TEXAS... SMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" he roared as he thrusted his fist out to punch his foe, but was blocked by a metal wall that suddenly erected. Everyone was shocked. With the Quirk Amplifier on his head, Wolfram's Metal Manipulation was much more powerful than before.
He essentially used his power to barricade himself within a fortress of scrap metal as the top of the tower was under his total control. All Might tried to break his way through, but he was easily being overwhelmed. And everyone else was hurriedly trying to get away from the battle, even though both Izuku and Rebecca could tell that the number one hero was already well past his limit, coughing up blood as he endured being bombarded by metal pillars.
"Why won't you just die already?!" Wolfram yelled, firing off more metal pillars in an attempt to impale his foe.
"ALL MIGHT!" Izuku and Rebecca screamed. All of a sudden, the pillars were frozen in ice. And then...
"GO TO HELL!" Katsuki roared as he fired off several blasts from above, which Wolfram managed to block with a barrier of scrap metal. However, he didn't anticipate the sudden slashes from Homura, which cut through the barricade and sliced his shoulder open. Everyone had arrived on the scene, ready to help in whatever ways they could. Weisz, Tenya and Eijiro were quick to start bashing through the hunks of metal in the sky. Shiki joined them, making the green markings along his body expand as he broke through more of the metal with his fists.
Seeing that his students were fighting on so valiantly, All Might willed himself to hold his ground and fight back. He leapt out toward his foe, evading and smashing through metal pillars sent his way. When it seemed like more were about to crash onto him, Homura struck them down with several energy swords that she created. He gave her a thankful smile as he zipped past her.
"CAROLINA... SMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" All Might roared, swinging his arms out fiercely to blow any pillars coming toward him, closing in on Wolfram, "Prepare yourself, villain!" he bellowed out, only to wind up ensnared by wires that his foe conjured. The number one hero was prepared to break free, but was suddenly grabbed at the neck by the boss villain, whose body glowed a bright red. What followed was Wolfram grabbing his opponent's wound underneath his costume and twisting, causing him to scream in agony.
"All Might!" Izuku cried out, only to suddenly falter over onto his knees due to the injuries he endured earlier.
"Izuku!" Rebecca screamed as she and Melissa went over to his side. Elsewhere on the battlefield, Katsuki was struggling to get away from Wolfram's metal pillars, having reached his own limit as his arms were twitching. Homura and Shoto were struggling themselves, having to endure the sudden numbness coursing through parts of their bodies. And Weisz's armor wound up peeling off as he had used up all his energy for the moment.
"Hang on, All Might!" Shiki called out as he tried to fly over to the number one hero, only to get knocked away by another metal pillar.
"Shiki!" Ochaco and Momo exclaimed in shock. Things were looking very grim. And it turned out that Wolfram had been contacted by a man who granted him the extra Quirk to handle a battle against the number one hero. He couldn't believe it.
"All For One is behind this?!" he exclaimed in question. He didn't have time to think about it as the boss villain sent him flying back, crushing him between several cubes of scrap metal.
"No...!" Rebecca gasped out. Several metal pillars then shot up and pierced through the cubes, seemingly ending the Symbol of Piece.
"UNCLE MIGHT, NOOOOO!" Melissa screamed in dismay. But at that moment, Izuku moved.
"DETROITTTT..." he started to bellow as he leapt up, rearing his gauntleted fist back as everyone looked on in shock, "SSSSSSMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHH!" he exclaimed, punching the mass of metal cubes apart to free All Might, who had miraculously survived the ordeal. He and his successor exchanged a few words, deciding that they'd face Wolfram together as a team.
"Let's go!" he beckoned.
"Yes sir!" Izuku responded, running off with him toward their foe. He attempted to crush them with more metal cubes he formed, but Katsuki blasted them away. Any metal pillars he used were blocked off by Shoto's ice or Homura's blades. The impacts of the attacks caused the ground to shake uncontrollably, with everyone getting knocked back. They would've gotten impaled by some of the metal pillars if not for Shiki, who blocked them off with his gravitational manipulation. Normally, he'd be on his way to taking Wolfram down with All Might and Izuku. But something told him that this was their fight.
Everyone watched as the duo kept charging toward the main villain, running together. Melissa was tearing up at how dedicated they both were, while Rebecca smiled with hope. Wolfram formed a massive cube of metal over himself, ready to fire it down.
'To overcome the crisis in front of you...' All Might began through his thoughts, readying his left fist.
'By giving it everything you've got!' Izuku continued inwardly.
'And save people...' the number one hero kept going.
'No matter the cost!' his successor proclaimed to himself.
'That's what makes someone...' All Might continued.
'A HERO!' Izuku bellowed through his thoughts.
"I'LL BRING DOWN THIS ENTIRE TOWER!" Wolfram declared, firing the metal cube down towards them.
"DOUBLE... DETROIT..." both Izuku and All Might started to roar, "SMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" they exclaimed simultaneously, punching the cube fiercely. Slowly but surely, they started to break through it, even as the villain tried desperately to push them back. They finally got through, heading towards him like a pair of shooting stars.
"DEKKKUUUU!" Ochaco screamed out.
"STOP HIM, ALL MIGHT!" Momo and Kyoka yelled.
"GO MIDORIYA!" Eijiro, Tenya, Minoru and Weisz exclaimed.
"DESTROY THAT GUY!" Katsuki, Shoto and Homura shouted. Caught up in the machinery, David watched as his best friend and his student closed in on the villain, both rearing their fists back.
"LET'S GO...!" Izuku started to bellow.
"BEYOND!" All Might finished for him. They both shot down in an instant at Wolfram, who made a last-ditch effort to barricade himself in metal wires.
"PLUS... ULTRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" they roared, punching with all their might to break through and land the final blow, destroying the villain's metal fortress as well. David was freed from it, looking up to see the triumphant smile upon Izuku's face. He was just like All Might back in the day. And realizing that, the professor could smile.
There you have it! The penultimate chapter with an awesome battle to boot! And there'll be a lot more like this later on down the road for "Through the Rough"!
