We're back with more of "Through the Rough" as we continue into the summer season! A lot's been going on, especially with work and writing. But things are going well. I've been contemplating about a couple of story elements that I want to at least touch upon in this story, at least for the next couple of arcs. I'm sure some of you could guess what they might be, but you'll see what I've got in mind up ahead.
Anyways, the last time we left off, the students were trying to get control of everything, only for so much more to go wrong. Weisz has been shot, Shiki just got pummeled by Shura, and Katsuki, Fumikage and Rebecca are secured by the villains. So now that begs the question, can the others stop them before they get away?
Well, let's find out!
THROUGH THE ROUGH
"What, you only got blood from one person?!" a well-built man dressed in a black-and-gray bodysuit shouted in question to Himiko, "Weren't you supposed to get at least three?!" he inquired on as he pointed at her accusingly.
"I was trying not to get killed…" she retorted in response.
"Both of you put a lid on it…" Dabi grumbled, narrowing his eyes.
'That Nomu Shigaraki got us hasn't responded yet…' he noted inwardly, 'Don't tell me these brats managed to actually take it down…' he inferred through his thoughts.
"Anyway, I met the cutest boy tonight!" Himiko proclaimed.
"Is it me?" the masked villain guessed in a deeper voice, "No thanks, babe!" he exclaimed, crossing his arms, "I love you too~!" he sang with his hands shaped into a heart. Dabi rolled his eyes at how annoying his colleagues were. He then heard a rustle from the nearby bushes. Coming out were Maria and Daichi, as the latter held Rebecca over his left shoulder.
"Got the girl, huh?" Dabi noted upon spotting the unconscious Leaper Quirk user.
"Not too much trouble on our end," Maria responded with her hands on her hips, assuming her human-like colors.
"That is, once I showed up," Daichi corrected to her chagrin.
"Right on!" Twice exclaimed with two thumbs up, "I was worried you'd fail…" he admitted in a deeper voice.
"So who're we waiting for still?" Maria inquired, ignoring him.
"Compress called in, so he's the one with Bakugo," Dabi answered, "Once he's here, we're booking it," he declared, "As for everyone else, well…" he continued, letting out a chuckle, "I'm sure they'll be fine," he said. At that moment, he and the others heard yelling from afar.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Compress screamed before he was slammed against the ground by the combined weight of Izuku, Mezo, Shoto, and Homura, as they had launched themselves out at him in order to catch up.
"Give Kacchan and Tokoyami back to us!" the former of the four demanded angrily.
"Hey, I know those kids!" Twice exclaimed as he pointed towards them, "Who are they?!" he questioned in a deeper voice. Meanwhile, Rebecca's eyes fluttered open. Her vision was blurred, but she could make out the figure of her boyfriend.
"Izu…?" she uttered.
OPENING
Insert "ODD FUTURE" by UVERworld
Opens with Izuku and Rebecca getting into lunging stances before taking off into the distance as a bright blue sky looms overhead. We see a scene of Nana Shimura holding out her gloved hand to a skinny All Might, who accepts it as a light shines between their palms. A bright light flashes across the screen.
We cut to the rest of Class 1-A running together at the campground in their P.E. clothes, with Shiki leading the way as he leaps ahead. Ochaco and Momo are staring at him from behind somewhat longingly. But once they notice each other staring at him, they blush and look away.
Elsewhere around the camp, we see Homura using her energy blades to slash down mounds of earth formed by Pixie Bob, Shoto practicing with shooting his flames from his left arm, followed by unleashing a wave of ice from his right foot, Weisz remodeling multiple machines to practice more with his Quirk, and Katsuki unleashing large explosions up into the sky. As Izuku takes a moment to catch his breath, he looks over to see Rebecca running alongside Tenya. She spots her boyfriend and shoots him a warm smile, which he returns as he blushes.
However, that happiness is shattered as the forest is engulfed in blue flames that evening, courtesy of Dabi. He's joined by Himiko, Twice, Compress, Mustard, Muscular, Moonfish, Laguna, Fie, Daichi, Maria, and Shura. The latter of the group floats up and has Ether Gear markings expand along his right arm as he aims it down at the ground, which suddenly caves in. He grins wickedly as he dives toward Shiki, who retaliates with a Gravity Fist.
We see Laguna turning to face off with Weisz, who equips into his Arsenal armor before dashing out at him. Meanwhile, Daichi emerges from the ground, joining Maria in confronting Rebecca and Kyoka, who stand back-to-back and grimace. Izuku is in battle against Muscular, lunging forward and rearing his right fist back for a full-powered punch.
The scene changes to Drakken Joe atop a roof as the wind rushes around him. He's approached by Jaguar, who stares at him indignantly. A leaf blows by, revealing a flashback of the two confronting on the same rooftop. Drakken doesn't look like he's aged a day since then.
We cut to Tomura being approached by All For One, who rests his hand onto his head gently. Several Nomu emerge behind him, ready to act on command. We get a shot of Poseidon Nero, who opens his eyes as his dice rattle in his hands. We also see Noah Glenfield, who closes a book as he approaches the desk of Nezu at U.A.
All Might arrives, landing down mightily to confront All For One, roaring as his eyes glare onto his foe. There are several shots of Mirko, Endeavor, Justice, Holy, Eraser, Feather, Cure, Jaguar, Edgeshot, Kamui Woods, Gang Orca, and Eraser Head, with all of them battling against enemy forces.
We end on Izuku and Rebecca standing up alongside All Might, staring out determinedly towards the horizon, ready to go and save the world.
END OPENING
"So this must be where they were planning to meet up after they obtained their targets…" Homura realized as she drew her energy blades. Mezo then took notice of Rebecca in Daichi's clutches.
"Bluegarden!" he cried out. The Leaper Quirk user's eyes finally shot open.
"Guys!" she exclaimed.
"Shit, she's up…" Maria grumbled out.
"Not to worry…" Daichi assured, keeping his grip firm on their captive as lines of energy spread up his face, "I can just—" All of a sudden, a familiar pair of cable-like earlobes shot out. One plugged itself into his neck, while the other hit Maria in her back. She noticed and widened her eyes.
"You're kidd—!" She and the Pain's Tree Quirk user were bombarded with sound waves before she could finish her shout. The former of the two dissolved into a blue slime that fell onto the ground, much to the shock of the Class A students.
"Rebecca!" Kyoka cried out, running out from the bushes as she retracted her right earphone jack.
"Jiro!" Mezo exclaimed. At that moment, Daichi found himself unable to hold onto the Leaper Quirk user any longer, allowing her to fall onto the ground on her stomach.
"Toga, get her!" Dabi ordered, igniting his left hand in blue flames, "Compress, move!" he advised.
"Right!" the masked man being pinned responded, enveloping himself in flash of blue light before he seemingly disappeared, with a mere marble taking his place. That allowed for his colleague to unleash a blast of blue fire onto the four students. Homura and Shoto were able to move aside in the nick of time, but unfortunately, Mezo and Izuku got struck by the fire, crying out in pain.
"Midoriya! Shoji!" the Half-Cold, Half-Hot Quirk user yelled. Twice then attempted to ambush him with sharp measuring tape he drew from his wristbands. Fortunately, Homura was quick to clash blades with him as sparks flew out.
"Shoto, deal with the other one!" she insisted, "I can handle this!" she assured, blowing Twice back. The Half-Cold, Half-Hot Quirk user hurriedly ran out and unleashed a wave of ice onto Dabi, who scoffed. He instantly incinerated it with another rush of blue flames.
"Agh…" Rebecca groaned as she tried to push herself up. However, a foot suddenly pressed down onto her back, pinning her to the ground as she yelped.
"So… you're the girl Mister Joe's after, huh?" Himiko assumed with a wicked grin as she leaned closer to the Leaper Quirk user, "What makes you so special?" she wondered curiously. Rebecca shivered in fright, especially as she felt the girl's knife dig into her cheek a little.
"GET OFF OF HER!" Kyoka roared angrily, lashing her jacks out at the villain, forcing her to jump back.
"You wanna come between us…?" Himiko wondered, brandishing her knife, "You're not really my type…" she admitted, giving off a wild expression, "but I'll cut you anyway…" she threatened. The Earphone Jack Quirk user shook a little. But she steeled herself as she gritted her teeth.
"Bluegarden, you gotta get outta here!" she advised to the Leaper Quirk user, who was struggling still to push herself up.
"I can't…" she winced out, "My Quirk isn't…" she tried to say, starting to feel faint again.
"Bluegarden!" Kyoka cried out, only to end up distracted as she had to parry Himiko's attempted swipes onto her. It was pure chaos. Daichi and Maria were still trying to pull themselves together, Homura was continuing to clash with Twice, Shoto and Dabi kept dueling in a battle of flames, and Izuku and Mezo were still reeling from the burns they had just received. However, the latter pair of students saw Compress re-emerge from the marble he had shrunk into.
"Unrehearsed amateurs…" he grumbled. Before he could even take a step though, he was tackled again by the pair of student heroes.
"Don't move!" the Dupli-Arms Quirk user demanded, pinning him firmly to the ground as he grunted.
"Where'd you put Tokoyami and Bakugo?!" the One For All inheritor yelled, trying to search around the villain's body. All of a sudden, the wind picked up around them. Mezo looked up and was met with a fist to his face from none other than Kris. "R-Rutherford?!" Izuku stammered out. Another gust blew him off of Compress, pulling him back. It originated from Kleene, who grimaced.
"What…?!" Rebecca gasped out, shocked to discover that both siblings were seemingly working with the villains. She watched as the Wind Rage Quirk user landed another punch onto Mezo, knocking him down onto the ground.
"Compress, do you have them?" he asked of his masked colleague, who got back up.
"Of course, Jinn," he responded, rummaging through his right coat pocket for something, "Who do you think I—? Hm?" he uttered, stopping himself as he felt something off.
"Heh…" Mezo chuckled out, getting their attentions, "Guess my hunch was right…" he concluded as he stood back up, holding a pair of marbles in between his fingers, "These must be Tokoyami and Bakugo…" he said.
"You got them!" Izuku exclaimed out of relief.
"Ho-ho, well color me impressed!" Compress laughed, "As expected of someone with six arms!" he remarked, seeing the Dupli-Arms Quirk user start to run off. Kris attempted to go after him, only to end up walled off by a wave of ice shot from Shoto.
"Get them outta here!" he called out to his classmate, "We'll get Bluegarden!" he affirmed before needing to form more ice to block off Dabi's blue flames. In the meantime, Izuku activated his Full Cowling as he spun himself around out of Kleene's wind, landing down in front of her. He looked over to see his girlfriend slowly getting to her feet.
"Rebecca!" he cried out, getting her attention. She tried to run to him, only to suddenly trip and fall on her stomach. She looked back and gasped to find roots seeping into her right ankle, courtesy of Daichi as he pressed his hands against the ground.
"Aw, that's too bad…" he said with a wicked grin.
"REBECCA!" Izuku and Kyoka screamed, with the latter finding herself getting her left arm cut by Himiko. Meanwhile, the former hurried out, desperately trying to get to his girlfriend. Tears pricked her eyes as she looked out to her incoming boyfriend.
"I-Izu…!" she whimpered out. She wanted this to just be some kind of bad dream. But unfortunately, it was reality. In that moment, her body suddenly splashed apart into water just before the One For All inheritor reached her.
"Huh?" Daichi uttered in confusion, while Izuku gasped with fright. They watched as the water flew out and filled up a bottle attached to the belt of Laguna, who had just arrived with Fie holding his right arm over his shoulders.
"Don't damage Drakken's target…" he advised of his blue-skinned colleague, "I doubt he'll be happy…" he pointed out, much to the Pain's Tree Quirk user's fright as he shuddered.
"Husert's with them, too?!" Homura inquired before needing to block off an attempted swipe from Twice. At that moment, a purple-and-black portal appeared behind the group.
"It's been five minutes since the signal went out, Dabi," Kurogiri noted as his yellow, shining eyes appeared from the void.
"The warp villain…!" Izuku gasped.
"Hold on, we still don't have Bakugo yet…" Dabi noted as Compress and Kris walked over.
"Not to worry, my friend," the masked villain remarked, getting his attention, "I figured I'd give those brats a chance to gloat over a false victory…" he pointed out, causing the students to gasp, "But allow me to tell you another basic tenet of magic…" he continued, taking hold of his mask, "If I'm flaunting something shiny…" he kept going, removing his mask to reveal the black balaclava he was wearing over his head, "it's because there's something else I don't want you to see…" he said, opening his mouth to reveal a pair of marbles upon his tongue. He then snapped his fingers, causing the marbles in Mezo's grasp to un-compress into mounds of ice that knocked him down.
"My ice?!" Shoto exclaimed.
"You fiend…!" Homura growled, about to slash mightily at Twice, who hopped back. A portal then appeared behind him, allowing him to dive right into it. Daichi and Himiko also left through rifts from Kurogiri as well, with the latter expressing a farewell to Izuku.
"Hey, we gots to get movin'," Fie insisted, "Won't be long before Laguna's out of it again…" he pointed out, looking to see how faint the Tears Lover Quirk user seemed.
"Okay, let's go," Kris insisted, departing into the portal. Kleene followed, though she stopped as she got close. Guilt wracked her brain as she saw the bottle that Rebecca was trapped in and the marbles where Katsuki and Fumikage were encased.
"You're not getting away!" Mezo proclaimed as he charged forward. However, a flaming bullet streaked by and struck his left thigh, knocking him down onto the ground.
"Shoji!" Shoto and Homura cried out. Smoke emitted from the barrel of Fie's handgun as he snickered. However, he was so caught up in having shot the Dupli-Arms Quirk user that he failed to notice Kyoka plugging her earphone jacks into Laguna, bombarding his body with sound waves.
"AAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHH!" he yelled in pain before falling unconscious. In that very moment, the bottle at his belt burst, with Rebecca flying out from it. Immediately, Izuku ran out to her. He was going to get to her no matter what. Even if his body was already enduring such tremendous pain, he wouldn't stop until he made sure she was safe. But as he came closer to her, she was suddenly pulled away by an unseen force. Her neck wound up in the grasp of Shura's right hand.
"So this is the chick that Drakken's after, huh?" he assumed, taking a look at the Leaper Quirk user, "She's pretty easy on the eyes…" he commented with a smirk.
"LET HER GO!" Izuku screamed. However, a sudden surge of pain made him topple over onto the ground. In that same moment, Fie and Laguna disappeared into a portal of their own from Kurogiri. Compress and Dabi were about to leave as well alongside Kleene.
But without warning, she made her markings appear along her face as a wind started to swell. It pulled on the masked villain, making him cough up the marbles holding Fumikage and Katsuki. Shoto and Homura lunged out for them. The latter managed to grab one, but the former barely missed grabbing the other as it was snatched away by Dabi.
"Well, isn't that a tragedy?" he remarked, seeing the Half-Cold, Half-Hot Quirk user fall past him onto the ground, "Poor little Shoto Todoroki…" he uttered.
"Hah!" Shura laughed, "That's it, I guess!" he proclaimed, starting to disappear into the portal with Rebecca still in his grasp.
"NNOOOOOOOOOOOOO!" Izuku cried out loudly, running after them with Kyoka and Homura. Unfortunately, Compress snapped his fingers to release Katsuki and Fumikage from the marbles they had been compressed into… and the former was still in the villain's clutches. They sunk into the portal.
"Checkmate…" Shura uttered.
"KACCHAN! REBECCA!" Izuku screamed. The Explosion Quirk user felt himself go stiff. Not because he was being captured, but because he wasn't the only one.
"Stay back… Deku…" he said before he fully submerged into the rift. And it disappeared just before the One For All inheritor reached it. He fell to the ground and looked back to find that the villains were gone… along with his rival and his girlfriend. Everyone around widened their eyes in horror as the blue flames burning throughout the forest raged on. They had failed in the end.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!" Izuku screamed with dismay, just as Ochaco and Tsuyu arrived on the scene. The chaos was finally starting to settle. But the real nightmare had just begun…

"Let me go, dammit!" Katsuki yelled, restrained like a wild animal with his hands cuffed and chained, along with the rest of his body. He was inside the secluded bar with the rest of the remaining villains, watching as the reformed Maria and Laguna were being tended to by Spinner, while Magne and Twice were securing his restraints. Looking around, he spotted Rebecca being placed down on the couch by Shura. He huffed.
"Shouldn't we tie her up?" he inquired of his colleagues.
"Drakken Joe requested that we be at least careful with this one," Kurogiri answered, walking over to stand beside the Satan Gravity Quirk user, "She's apparently going to be a valuable asset to him, so it's best that we not be as restrictive as we are with that one…" he advised seriously.
"Whatever you say, misty man," Shura grumbled. He glanced back at the unconscious Leaper Quirk user for a moment, walking away. Katsuki gritted his teeth as he took notice of Laguna and Kris in particular.
"So you losers sided with these sorry bastards?!" he shouted in question to them, getting their attentions, "What, you think it's better to be bad guys?!" he inquired on.
"Tsk…" Laguna scoffed, "Shut up already…" he muttered out. Meanwhile, Kris looked over to his sister, seeing the saddened and ashamed expression upon her face. She was obviously feeling really guilty over the whole situation, especially with having to betray their classmates. All of a sudden though, Compress stomped up to her and grabbed her by the neck, slamming her against the wall.
"Wh-Whoa!" Magne yelped out.
"Ooh, what's going on here~?" Himiko wondered aloud curiously with her hands on her cheeks.
"Unhand my sister, Compress!" Kris demanded as he came over.
"Your sister almost cost us our target!" the masked villain retorted angrily, squeezing the Wind Snatch Quirk user tightly, "Not to mention that she ruined my finale!" he added.
"Hey, don't be so rough on the kid!" Twice shouted, "No, go harder!" he yelled in a different tone of voice. At that moment, Dabi put a hand onto Compress' shoulder, getting his attention.
"Knock it off," he said to his colleague's surprise, "I saw the whole thing back there," he pointed out.
"Then you know exactly what she did!" Compress argued.
"Yeah, saved our damn lives," the fire-type Quirk user retorted, "You remember the file we read on that birdhead?" he inquired, "If he released his Quirk on us while in the darkness of this grungy place, we'd probably all be dead," he noted seriously.
"So in other words, Kleeney here saved you!" Himiko mentioned with a giggle. In a frustrated scoff, Compress finally let go of the Wind Snatch Quirk user, allowing her to breathe.
"Kleene!" Kris exclaimed as he went up to her, putting his hands onto her shoulders, "Are you alright?" he asked in concern. She looked up at him with tears brimming her eyes.
"What have we become…?" she questioned back quietly to his surprise. Dabi glanced over at them curiously, narrowing his eyes a little.
"Ugh…" Maria groaned out, "I figured this whole thing wouldn't be much trouble, especially since the brats didn't know how my Quirk actually worked…" she noted in remembrance, "But of course, the damn kitten just had to have the chick with the earlobes on her side…" she grumbled on.
"I wanna play with her!" Himiko insisted excitedly, "If she's so important to Mister Joe, then I'm sure she's lots of fun!" she assumed with a giggle.
"Heehee…" Daichi giggled, "I'd love to torment her too, but…"
"Back off, you two," another voice advised, getting their attentions along with those of the others as they looked over to see both Drakken and Tomura enter the room.
"Drakken…" Laguna uttered out.
"Well, well…" the bar owner said as he stepped forward, looking to see the restrained Katsuki and the unconscious Rebecca, "looks like the mission was a success, albeit with setbacks…" he noted with his hands upon his hips, "Hmm…" he hummed curiously, narrowing his eyes, "Who's left behind?" he inquired.
"Uh, we didn't get responses from Muscular or Mustard…" Magne answered nervously.
"Moonfish was also unaccounted for," Kurogiri added.
"Hm," Drakken huffed, closing his eyes for a moment, "Well, they were just along for the ride," he noted as he approached the unconscious Rebecca, "They don't know why we wanted these two kids," he pointed out. The Leaper Quirk user groaned as her eyes started to flutter open. "The hell happened to you, Laguna?" the bar owner asked of the Tears Lover Quirk user, getting his attention, "You're the last person I'd expect to get their ass kicked…" he remarked with a smirk.
"It was Steiner…" Laguna grumbled in reply, "He got the jump on me when I was about to rendezvous with everyone else…" he mentioned.
"If it wasn't for me, you'd probably be arrested like those other sacks o' shit!" Fie claimed as he cackled, much to the chagrin of the Tears Lover Quirk user.
"And looks like you keeping secrets on your Quirk didn't work out, Maria…" Drakken added over to the Slime Quirk user, who fully reformed as she regained her human colors.
"I'm fine," she responded coldly, "It was Bluegarden's stupid friend with the earlobes that screwed me over…" she pointed out as she looked away.
"And you didn't want help…" Daichi mentioned as he giggled, making her growl.
"Enough…" Tomura insisted, getting their attentions, "I'll let you deal with your quarry," he decided, "You can deal with yours however you want," he added uncaringly.
"Heh," Drakken chuckled, "That was the plan, kid," he said. He then took notice of Rebecca waking up. She sharply gasped as her eyes jolted open. Her breathing became rapid as her eyes darted about her surroundings, seeing the many villains in the bar, including Kleene, Kris, and Laguna. She also spotted the restrained Katsuki. Sweat trickled down her face as her whole body trembled with fear.
'Are we… in the villains' hideout?!' she wondered inwardly as she grimaced.
"Rebecca Bluegarden…" Drakken uttered out, getting her attention. Her eyes widened at the sight of the man in front of her. He gave her a small grin. "Welcome to the Belial Gore," he greeted, "I know this isn't exactly a place for kids, but I've wanted to meet you for the longest time," he told her.
"Y…You're…" she stammered out.
"Drakken Joe," he introduced with a slight bow of his head, "Though based on that reaction, you already guessed that," he assumed, letting out a chuckle, "Guess I'm still pretty famous after all this time," he realized.
"Why… did you wanna meet me?" the Leaper Quirk user asked, trying to calm down. The bar owner exhaled a deep breath.
"I'll level with you, Rebecca," he said, "I would've preferred we didn't have to resort to these kinda tactics," he admitted, "but given how cautious you and those other kids are, we couldn't take chances," he told her, "Maria didn't exactly help by threatening you," he mentioned as he glanced back at the Slime Quirk user, who blinked in surprise.
"Hey, it was thanks to me that we figured out she has the Cat!" she pointed out.
"The… Cat?" Rebecca repeated in confusion.
"Ugh…" Drakken groaned, "I'll explain it to you later," he promised. He then blinked in surprise as he noticed something. It was the cut on the Leaper Quirk user's face. "Hey…" he uttered in a low growl, causing the other villains in the room to look over to him, "where'd this come from?" he asked, pointing toward the cut. Rebecca trembled at the darkened expression on his face. He was angry.
"W-We didn't cut her, sir!" Daichi stammered, raising his hands in surrender.
"Oh, that was definitely me!" Himiko chimed in to everyone's surprise, "I thought she'd be cuter if she bled a little!" she admitted with a giggle, not aware of Drakken approaching her, "I don't know exactly what you want with her, Mister Joe, but—" Without warning, the bar owner grabbed her by the neck and slammed her down against the counter. Everyone widened their eyes and gasped. Even Tomura seemed shocked.
"Here's a lesson for you, crazy…" he began, tightening his grip around her neck, "Don't touch someone else's property…" he advised in a growl.
"Joe… that's enough," Kurogiri insisted, "I'm sure she understands her mistake," he affirmed. After another tense moment, the bar owner scoffed as he let go of Himiko, who instantly gasped for breath.
"Toga!" Twice exclaimed as he jogged over alongside Magne.
"Are you alright?" the latter asked in concern. Drakken then approached Rebecca again.
"Sorry about that," he apologized, "Like I said, I wish this could've been handled a lot better," he confessed to her. The Leaper Quirk user just trembled. Knowing who this man was and seeing just how he could get angered over something so small frightened her to a great degree. "Let's talk," he advised, waving his hand to her in a beckoning manner, "I want you to know why you're here," he pointed out. Without a second thought, Rebecca stood up. She followed him into the next room, but not before glancing back at Katsuki.
He had a grim look on his face. The situation wasn't ideal. But the best course of action for now was to play along until help arrived…

"Ugh…" Shiki groaned as he awoke slowly. He found himself in a hospital bed, with his right arm in a cast and bandages around his body. "Where… am I?" he wondered aloud.
"You're awake," Sister's voice chimed in as she entered the room with her hands at her hips, "It's been a minute…" she noted.
"What happened…?" the Satan Gravity Quirk user asked as he grimaced again, "The camp got attacked by villains and they…" he started to remember, wincing once more as he tried to sit up.
"Hey, easy," the U.A. nurse insisted of him, "My Heal Atomizer relieves pain, but it's not a total fix," she pointed out seriously, "I just help make it easier for that old hag," she mentioned.
"Did they…" Shiki started to say, making Sister perk up, "Did the bad guys… get Katsuki and Rebecca?" he asked weakly. The nurse blinked in surprise, but then looked away ashamedly.
"…Yeah, they did…" she finally answered. The Satan Gravity Quirk user's eyes widened before he sniffled, turning away and crying. Sister sighed. "I'll be back in a bit," she promised, heading off. However, she reached the door and was surprised to find Momo there, having bandages around her head, but otherwise seemed fine. "Hey, you're up too, huh?" she noted.
"Is Shiki awake?" the Creation Quirk user asked. She got her answer as she overheard her classmate. Sister frowned sadly.
"I'd give him a few minutes, okay?" she advised. Momo gave off a concerned expression, but then lowered her head. The U.A. nurse left the room, leaving her and Shiki alone. Elsewhere in the hospital, Izuku was slowly fading in and out of consciousness. Both of his arms were casted, and bandages were around his head. A plate of apple slices lied right next to him that he took notice of, along with a small note.
When you wake up, eat this and call me.

'Mom…' he uttered inwardly. He was delirious. After using up all of his adrenaline back in the forest, he was out for days. The injuries he had were just far too great to bear any longer, especially after the failing to save Katsuki and Rebecca.
"Midoriya…" a voice uttered, getting his attention as he turned his gaze onto Kyoka, who entered alongside Shoto and Eijiro first, "Thank goodness, you're up…" she noted in relief.
"Hey guys…" the One For All inheritor greeted, "Did everyone else come…?" he asked weakly. Others of Class A entered.
"We got you a present!" Minoru said, placing a melon down on the table beside his classmate's bed, "Everyone chipped in!" he pointed out.
"How are you feeling?" Tenya asked in concern.
"Just… tired…" Izuku weakly answered, "How's everyone else doing?" he wondered curiously.
"Well… Shoji's fine," Toru responded, "That shot didn't get his artery, so he'll be back to walking pretty soon," she affirmed.
"Steiner's stable, but he still needs time to rest," Tenya chimed in, "Yaoyorozu's woken up and I believe Granbell's not far from recovering either…" he mentioned, causing Izuku to slightly widen his eyes.
"I didn't know Shiki got hurt, too…" he admitted.
"Right now, it's just the seventeen of us, with you and the others injured, and Katsuki and Rebecca gone," Shoto pointed out.
"Uh, hey!" Mina exclaimed, "He already knows that, Todoroki!" she pointed out in a reprimanding tone. The One For All inheritor's eyes shimmered with realization. His rival and his girlfriend were both still gone.
"Let's not rub salt on any wounds…" Ochaco insisted, "Right now, the heroes and the police are doing everything they can to try and find those two…" she pointed out.
"And we're supposed to sit idly by?" Homura inquired to her surprise, "Valkyrie wouldn't," she proclaimed. Everyone looked to see her approach Izuku. "Midoriya…" she uttered, "I was here yesterday with Shoto and Kirishima," she told him, "We were all still troubled from what happened and wanted to at least some form of recompense with the rest of our class," she mentioned as she lowered her head slightly.
"We heard that Yaoyorozu was awake, so we wanted to talk," Eijiro chimed in, "But then, we saw that All Might and the police were there," he recalled, causing everyone to blink in surprise.
"It turns out Yaoyorozu put a tracking chip she created on one of the villains," Shoto explained, "And she provided them with a device to pinpoint its location," he added.
"In short, we discussed amongst ourselves whether or not we should—"
"Have you lost your minds?!" Tenya shouted, interrupting Homura, "You're suggesting that Yaoyorozu make you a tracker so that you can charge blindly into danger?!" he assumed angrily.
"Hey, easy…" Denki insisted, holding his hands up in a placating manner, "Though, I really don't think you guys should be doing this…" he advised of his classmates, "I mean… look at what happened back at camp…" he said, "Even Shiki of all people got really hurt…" he noted.
"And of course, there's the trio of traitors from Class B…" Fumikage mentioned, "I think it'd be unwise to take such risks…" he admitted to the group, "As much as we understand where you're coming from…" he continued, "you can't be reckless," he pointed out. There was a tense silence in the room. And then, there was sobbing. Everyone was surprised to find that it was coming from Kyoka, who was leaned up against the wall.
"Jiro…" Rikido uttered out.
"I was scared for my life back there…" she confessed, "But that was nothing compared to what Rebecca was probably going through…" she admitted on as she trembled, "I was with her that whole time…" she added, "and she gave herself up just to save me…" she whimpered out. She then stepped forward. "I wanna go save her!" she declared, "And I don't care what it takes!" she mentioned firmly as tears streaked down her cheeks, "Whether we're breaking the rules or not shouldn't matter if it means we're doing the right thing!" she affirmed on, approaching the bed, "You wanna save her too, right Midoriya?!" she questioned of the One For All inheritor, "Then let's do it! Together!" she insisted, reaching her right hand out to him.
Of all the people Izuku expected to reach out to him, he never anticipated Kyoka being one. But in that moment, a glimmer of hope appeared in his eyes. He was still going to save Katsuki and Rebecca, no matter what.

Opens with all of Class 1-A standing in front of U.A. together. Izuku and Rebecca stand at the front, with the former balling his left hand into a fist as he looks to the sky. His girlfriend glances over and smiles, happy to see him determined.
We go through a few scenes of Homura shaking as she struggles to withstand the heat of the hot spring, while her fellow female classmates are just fine. Weisz and Minoru attempt to peep on them, only to get struck by wash tops flung at them by Rebecca. They crash down on the other side of the while, with the rest of the boys there shaking their heads.
We see Izuku and Rebecca sleeping against each other on the subway ride back home. Ochaco smiles at them from nearby, but then notices Shiki sleeping on her shoulder and drooling. She screams in surprise, waking him up while also startling everyone in the train car. She blushes in embarrassment, burying her reddening face into her hands.
The scene changes to Homura joining Shoto on an excursion along the beach, where they're joined by their friends. Shoto finds a seashell and offers it to Homura, who accepts with a smile. Mina looks at them excitedly, while Kyoka rolls her eyes and sighs behind her.
We then shift to the class training, with Katsuki racing against Tenya and Weisz with his explosions. Shiki passes them all by to their shock, making him the winner. In the meantime, Rebecca practices kicking with Tsuyu, sharing a smile with her as they work together.
Everyone is doing their best around school, whether in the classroom or in the field. Izuku shares a moment with All Might on the beach before they shake hands firmly. We close out on a scene of some of the class standing on a tower together. Izuku smiles brightly, and Rebecca plants a kiss onto his left cheek under his freckles. She giggles as he blushes, happy to be with him and their friends.

And the drama continues! Rebecca and Katsuki have been captured, and now while recovering, our heroes are about to make a move to try and get them back. Next chapter will feature more of Class A's turmoil over following the rules or doing what they can to help, along with some insight as to what Drakken's ultimate goal is.
