Merry Christmas! Welcome back for Season 4, folks! It's been a minute since this story updated, huh? I wanted to square things away in terms of "Reality" and make sure chapters for "The Challenge of a Lifetime" were properly edited.

There's also "Power" that I'm working on at the moment I'm writing this, which is sure to be quite the story from how it'll start out. But that doesn't mean I'll be ignoring this! Doing a Season 4 adaptation should be a lot of fun, despite the issues a lot of people have had with the later seasons of My Hero Academia. You can expect some amazing content from Edens Zero to find its way in there to help make things even better.

So without further delay, let's dive right into the Season 4 premiere of "Through the Rough"!

THROUGH THE ROUGH

"You got us a pretty big catch, didn't you… Twice?" Tomura noted in his raspy voice upon seeing Overhaul enter the warehouse in which the remaining members of the League of Villains had made their home. He coughed a little.

"So filthy in here…" he muttered out, "Was it always like this for you, Jinn?" he asked of the other figure who entered the warehouse, being Kris. Some of the villains widened their eyes slightly. Fie immediately pulled out a handgun and aimed it at him.

"Easy there, Fie…" Compress advised, holding a hand out to the fiery teen.

"Da bastard was the reason we couldn't kill Bakugo back then!" he shouted in frustration, "And he knocked da lights outta me…" he mentioned, growling a little.

"Because you were trying to kill his sister, idiot," Maria pointed out, "So you've gone ahead and joined up with someone else, hm?" she inquired of Kris, who stood firm beside Overhaul, "What about your precious sister?" she questioned on, "She doing jail time in your place?" she inferred, making him clench his fists angrily.

"That's enough, Slime…" Tomura insisted, "I don't care about whatever Jinn or Sylph or even Laguna are up to," he noted on, "I only care about you…" he said, pointing toward the masked man in front of him.

"So you know who I am?" he assumed.

"Yakuza," the League of Villains' leader answered, "Otherwise known as the young head of the Shie Hassaikai, Overhaul," he confirmed on.

"Ooh, a yakuza?!" Magne exclaimed giddily, "How famous!" she noted.

"Who're the yakuza again?" Himiko asked, seemingly uninterested.

"Basically the ones who ran the criminal underworld before All For One and even Joe," Maria replied.

"Quite right, Miss Slime," Compress concurred, "Allow me to elaborate," he insisted, "A long time ago, there were many different scary troops who ran that underworld," he told the women, "But when heroes starting coming out of the woodwork, along with All Might, they faded out of existence," he mentioned, "Now with him gone, along with key players like All For One and Drakken," he continued, "I'd say they're starting to get back on their feet," he noted.

"You know a lot," Overhaul commented in a complimentary tone.

"It's rare to see such an endangered species of villain here," the Compress Quirk user added, "And no less with someone who used to be one of our own," he mentioned on.

"Endangered species, huh?" the Shie Hassaikai leader repeated.

"So whatcha' doin' here, huh?!" Fie asked, keeping his gun trained on the two arrivals, "Tryin' to sell Jinn back ta us?!" he assumed, gnashing his teeth together.

"Would you shut up already?" Maria muttered out, "It's obvious he's here to negotiate terms with us…" she noted, "It's why Jinn's even here at all…" she added, making the Wind Rage Quirk user grimace.

"Well, you must be excited about All Might being out of the spotlight, right?" Daichi guessed, giggling a little.

"Yeah, sure," Overhaul replied, "But I'm more interested in All For One," he admitted. Everyone perked up. The Shie Hassaikai leader went on to point out how with both All For One and All Might gone, heroes and villains were left leaderless. There were no figureheads for the next era, no one brave enough to step onto the pedestals.

"And you're telling us this because…?" Maria started to inquire, expecting Overhaul to finish for her.

"Who'll be next to take the stand in All For One's place?" he questioned in response, "In Drakken Joe's place?" he inquired on, causing the Slime Quirk user to tense up, "I'm already aware of your ascension to the Oracion Seis, Tomura Shigaraki…" he mentioned to the League of Villains' leader, "To be honest, I figured you'd wanna stay out of the IUA's spotlight for a while…" he noted on.

"Is there a point to all of this?" Tomura asked, "Obviously, the next leader is going to be me…" he declared firmly, "You've got a lot of nerve to ask those questions when you know who my master is…" he pointed out.

"Was," Overhaul corrected, "Like All Might, All For One is no more," he said.

"And I'm taking his place," Tomura affirmed in response, "I'm already gathering forces," he mentioned, gesturing to his current roster of allies, "Together, we'll turn hero society into dust…" he proclaimed.

"Do you have an actual plan for that?" the Shie Hassaikai leader asked, much to everyone's surprise.

"Overhaul…?" Kris uttered in confusion.

"Watch your tone…" Tomura growled out, "I thought you wanted to work with us…" he assumed, with Twice glancing back and forth between them. He was worried that his plan to gather forces for the league had just backfired.

"A goal without a plan is nothing more than a wish," the Shie Hassaikai leader argued as he approached, "If that's all your offering, then why should I join you?" he questioned, "What happens after you increase your forces? Do you have any idea how to organize your League?" he inquired on. There was an unsettling air building in the warehouse. Overhaul continued critiquing Tomura, citing the instances of Stain, Muscular, Moonfish, Müller, Jamilov, Laguna, and especially Kris being first-rate villains that were all either lost or captured.

"Sir, I think you've made your point…" the Wind Rage Quirk user affirmed, not wanting things to devolve into pointless bloodshed. The League of Villains' leader huffed.

"Twice, make sure to double-check on someone's intentions before you go and bring them to us…" he advised of the Double Quirk user, who widened his eyes in surprise.

"Don't blame him," Overhaul insisted, "You're the one who doesn't have a plan for the future," he pointed out, "But I do," he affirmed, holding his gloved left hand out, "Money's a problem for us, even for a small-time yakuza," he noted, "But you've got widespread recognition," he mentioned, "Put yourself under me as your new leader," he continued, "and I'll show you exactly how to use the right tools," he promised. A silence filled the warehouse.

"…Leave," Tomura requested.

"Fine, we will," Kris replied, "Sir?" he said over to the Shie Hassaikai leader, who sighed.

"It's a pity, but I assumed you'd make the wrong choice…" he remarked, about to turn around. All of a sudden though, he was pulled forward by the magnetic force from Magne. She wasn't going to let herself be put under someone else's rule, especially since she had made leaps and bounds herself to become who she wanted to be.

"Magne, don't!" Kris warned desperately.

"We're free to decide for ourselves exactly where we belong!" the Magnetism Quirk user declared, slamming her magnet against her foe's head, not noticing that he had removed his glove as he was being pulled in. He managed to reach over and touch her arm, swiping his pointer finger down it. All of a sudden, her whole upper body exploded into a spray of blood. Everyone widened their eyes.

"Big Sis… Mag…?" Himiko uttered out, seeing the remainder of her body fall over onto the floor, which was coated in blood. Kris was absolutely horrified by the sight as his eyes shook. He watched as Overhaul staggered to his feet.

"Just remember, you struck first," he pointed out, "Ugh… I'm filthy…" he complained, trying to wipe the blood off of his coat, "It's why I hate things like this…" he grumbled on. Fie tried to shoot him from afar, only for his bullet to be repelled by Kris' wind.

"Stop it!" he yelled out, "He'll kill you all!" he shouted on. Unfortunately, not everyone was willing to listen as Daichi went ahead and planted his hands onto the floor, having lines of green energy expand along his arms. Tree roots emerged, ensnaring the Wind Rage Quirk user as he yelped, gritting his teeth in agony.

"You made your choice, Jinn…" he pointed out with a grin, while Compress lunged out at Overhaul, "And now you're about to lose another friend of yours…" he affirmed on. But at that moment, something happened. A small object struck the Compress Quirk user's arm, rendering his ability useless just as he approached his foe.

"DON'T TOUCH ME!" he roared, blasting his opponent's arm apart in another spray of blood. Seeing that, Kris grimaced again. Tomura tried to close in on his foe, managing to evade another stray object shot his way. Luckily for the Shie Hassaikai leader, one of his subordinates arrived to act as a shield for him, decaying into dust from his foe's touch. Afterwards, several more masked men arrived, including the likes of Ganoff, Mosco, and Sister. A third arm protruded from her habit like a tail, wrapping around the Wind Rage Quirk user and freeing him from the roots entrapping him by pulling him out.

"Huh… huh…" he exhaled, "Thank you, Sister…" he said with gratitude. The Rogue Out leader narrowed her eyes.

"Seems as if the League of Villains is far too stubborn to see the truth," she remarked over to Overhaul, who wiped some more blood away from his head as he groaned.

"It's to be expected, I guess," he muttered out, "Bloodshed isn't good for anyone," he noted, "We've got a death on both sides, and I owe you an arm," he pointed out, seeing all that had been wrought from the encounter, "We'll cool our heads and try again later," he decided, flinging a card out that landed at Tomura's feet, "Think things over," he advised, "And I'll help show how a group like yours should properly be run," he affirmed on, departing alongside his colleagues.

"Agh…" Compress groaned as his arm bled out. Fie and Maria were quick to attend to him, while Twice stood up with shaking eyes.

"Shigaraki… I…" he started to say. Tomura ignored him, picking the card up from the bloodied floor. He groaned, knowing what would have to come if he was to ascend to the platform his master had been upon for years.

END OPENING

"WHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTTTT?!" practically everyone in Class A exclaimed in disbelief. Shota had just told them about how the work study program was talked about amongst the faculty. And they unanimously agreed that it was too soon for the students to be taking part, especially given the circumstances of what had happened recently.

"Aw, man…" Rebecca groaned out, "And I was super stoked to get going…" she admitted, looking out the window.

"HAHA!" Katsuki laughed proudly as he stood up and slammed his hands against his desk. Now no one would get a lead on him in terms of progress. The Cat Leaper Quirk user rolled her eyes. Clearly, not even his house arrest had thoroughly changed his attitude.

"However…" Shota continued, getting her attention along with those of the others, "some think this approach is detrimental to raising up strong heroes," he told the class, "And as such, we'll allow work studies, but only at agencies that have proven track records," he promised, "So be sure to choose wisely," he advised of the class. In an instant, the Explosion Quirk user turned angry. Rebecca snickered a little. She looked over to her boyfriend and shot him a big smile, which he returned. The two of them were already set on who they wanted to do their work study under.

"Wait, you want me to introduce you to Nighteye?!" All Might exclaimed in question from his desk later that day, as the couple had approached him.

"Yes!" his successor responded, "Since he's one of the few heroes who's worked under you, it's a perfect fit!" he affirmed with clenched fists. His mentor raised a finger to silence him.

"And what about you, Young Bluegarden?" he asked of the Cat Leaper Quirk user quietly.

"Well… I heard that his Quirk is kinda like mine… in that it's time-based…" she explained in reply, "I figure he could help me figure out if I can use my power not just to change events from the past, but also predict things in the future," she told him.

"Hmm… I see…" he responded, "Though I doubt either of you spurred this idea on," he pointed out to their surprise, "You got in touch with Gran Torino, didn't you?" he assumed.

"Yes, sir," Izuku responded, bowing to him.

"Huh," he exhaled, "Well, while I admire the enthusiasm, I have to refuse the request," he told the couple, causing them to blink in shock, "There's three reasons why in both of your cases," he mentioned, holding up three of his left hand's fingers, "One, I opposed the work study program in our meeting yesterday," he said, "I think it's unnecessary for first-years to take part in them so soon," he stated. Both Izuku and Rebecca grimaced. "Secondly, your main abilities," the former pro hero continued, "Young Midoriya, you still need to work on your Shoot Style, getting mastery over that," he advised of the freckled teen, "Same goes for Young Bluegarden's Reverse and trying to attain her Overdrive," he mentioned on, making the ash blonde-haired girl puff her cheeks in frustration, "And thirdly, Sir Nighteye…" he kept going, "Talking with him would be… awkward…" he confirmed as sweat trickled down his face.

"Awkward…?" Rebecca repeated, "Are you serious?!" she shouted in question, making her teacher flinch.

"Rebecca, calm down, please…" Izuku pleaded, holding his hands up in a placating manner, "We have to understand where All Might's coming from with this…" he pointed out, "Even so…" he kept going, "Kacchan said that I'm not allowed to lose, so I can't just fall behind when I need to get stronger!" he insisted on, bowing to his mentor, "It's the only way I can be a great hero like you!" he affirmed. All Might was surprised by his impatience. But it wasn't totally unexpected. Given the circumstances and all that had happened between semesters, it was reasonable to think that his successor wanted to do as much as possible.

"While I appreciate your passion, I can't introduce you to him," he told the pair, much to their dismay, "Emphasis on I," he mentioned, causing them to perk up slightly. It wasn't long before the couple was in the teacher's lounge with All Might, awaiting the arrival of the specific person he had been referring to. The door opened, and they looked over to see…

"You are… HERE!" Mirio exclaimed upon entering, much to everyone's confusion, "Sorry, couldn't help myself…" he apologized, sheepishly rubbing the back of his head, "It's just awesome to hear that the All Might wanted to talk to me!" he pointed out.

"Um… I'm confused…" Rebecca said, looking over to her teacher, "What does Mirio have to do with Mister Nighteye?" she asked.

"Well, he's actually doing a work study at Nighteye's agency," he confirmed in response to her and Izuku's surprise.

"Whoa, seriously?! That's so cool!" the One For All inheritor exclaimed, looking over to his senior.

'That's quite the coincidence…' his girlfriend inwardly admitted.

"I'll get straight to the point," All Might decided, "Young Togata," he began, "do you think these two first-years have what it takes to work alongside you at the agency?" he inquired of the Permeation Quirk user.

"Oh, I gotcha'…" he realized, planting his right fist into his left hand, "You want me to introduce Midoriya and Bluegarden to Nighteye, right?" he guessed, wrapping his arms around the couple as they flinched in surprise.

"Yeah," the former pro answered.

"But wait, why go through me?" Mirio asked curiously, "I know Sir always watched old videos of you in his spare time," he pointed out, "I'm sure he'd be happy if you called in about this," he affirmed on.

"I can't exactly face him right now…" All Might admitted in response, "Because he ended up being right about where I'd end up…" he noted, causing Izuku and Rebecca to perk up in confusion, "So…" he continued, "do you think Young Midoriya and Young Bluegarden have what it takes?" he questioned of the Permeation Quirk user.

"Well…" he began, pulling his arms away from the freshmen, "why don't you two tell me what kind of heroes you wanna be?" he requested of them, making them blink in surprise. Izuku had to take a moment to think. Throughout just one semester and beyond, he had many different experiences with being a hero. He wanted to save people with a smile on his face, he didn't want to worry others, he wanted to win. All in all…

"I want to be the greatest hero," he declared proudly.

"Wow… that sounds like a lot," Mirio admitted in response after a moment, "But I've got no reason to say no!" he assured with a thumbs up, "So what about you?" he asked of Rebecca, who blinked in surprise.

"Me?" she said, "Well…" she uttered, glancing down in thought. She recalled all of her own experiences up to this point, making friends, fighting villains, and trying to make the best of unfavorable situations. One memory that stuck out to her was when Kleene saved her and Katsuki back at the Belial Gore. And from there, she gave the Wind Snatch Quirk user a chance at redemption. She had a determined look in her eyes. "I wanna be a hero that can help give people a second chance," she proclaimed firmly, "And in order to do that, I need to get stronger like Izu," she added, clenching her fists.

"Sounds like you've got a lot to say, too…" the Permeation Quirk user noted, "So I guess you're cool to tag along!" he affirmed with another thumbs up.

"R-Really?!" Rebecca stammered out excitedly.

"Thanks so much, Togata!" Izuku exclaimed in gratitude. As the trio conversed in front of All Might, he looked down solemnly.

'Had it not been for my meeting with Young Midoriya… Young Togata would've been…' he started to note to himself, only to stop upon seeing the hopeful smiles on his students' faces. Now wasn't the time lament over the past. If it meant giving them the chance to have a brighter future, then so be it.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHA!" Kyoka laughed later that evening as the class was gathered for yet another movie night in the dorms. She and the others had just watched the main character get tased. Denki didn't seem amused, blushing in embarrassment.

"So just to recap…" Hanta began, looking over to Rebecca and Izuku, "Guy named Thor's pretty arrogant and spoiled, goes against his dad with his brother and friends, gets banished, and now doesn't have powers…" he listed off, "That sound about right?" he inquired.

"Yep," the Cat Leaper Quirk user responded with a nod.

"Pfft…" Kyoka snorted, "Gotta admit, it's funny seeing someone like that look like an idiot…" she said.

"Oh, har-har…" Denki sarcastically laughed, "Hey, aren't some of us looking to do work study stuff tomorrow?" he inquired of his classmates, "Why do a movie night now?" he questioned on.

"Well, that's precisely why we've chosen tonight to watch a film," Momo answered, "With some of us entering the program, we won't all be able to gather together for a while," she pointed out, "So tonight, we get to continue watching these superhero films," she stated with a smile.

"Is anyone else annoyed with all the camera tilting though?" Toru asked of her classmates.

"I get that it's an artistic thing, but it doesn't seem like it's being used right…" Tsuyu noted aloud. As the film continued, with Thor having to adjust to living without his godly powers, Shoto looked over to Homura curiously. Earlier in the evening, he caught wind of a conversation she was having over the phone.

FLASHBACK

"A work study?" Mirko's voice echoed from the Soul Blade Quirk user's phone, as she was standing out on the porch of the Heights Alliance building.

"Yes," she confirmed with a nod, "Our teachers came to a compromise on letting go to agency with proven track records," she pointed out, "I was hoping that perhaps you would be willing to take me on once again…" she mentioned, giving off an anxious expression. The Rabbit Hero herself was perched atop a building as her long white hair waved with the wind. She looked down sadly in thought.

"Sorry, Valkyrie," she apologized to Homura's surprise, "Can't take you on," she confirmed.

"B-But—!"

"Let me finish," Mirko insisted, interjecting her as at that moment, Shoto had stepped out onto the porch, overhearing the conversation, "It's not that I don't want you to come back and work under me," she pointed out, "It's more that I don't exactly have an agency," she noted, "I'm just one woman after all," she mentioned, standing up from where she was perched, "Besides…" she continued, "I wouldn't feel comfortable trying to be a mentor in this new day and age…" she admitted, causing the Soul Blade Quirk user to lightly gasp in surprise, "You've got other offers from the Sports Festival, right?" the Rabbit Hero assumed, "Pick one of those guys in my place," she advised, "I'm sure they'll whip you into shape," she affirmed.

"Yes… that does sound good," Homura responded after a moment, "Thank you, Miss Mirko," she said, ending the call. She exhaled a sigh, looking up toward the night sky overhead. Meanwhile, the Rabbit Quirk user felt a tear trickle down her left cheek.

"Dammit…" she cursed, wiping it away before leaping off in search of crime to thwart.

END FLASHBACK

Shoto looked over to Homura more than once during the movie. Even as the climax was starting, his only concern was how she was doing over being unable to do a work study under the person she wanted to do it with. Meanwhile, the others watched as Thor had to return to his home in order to face his adopted brother, Loki. Tricky as he was, he was overwhelmed by the God of Thunder, who thwarted his plan by sacrificing the opportunity to see the person he loved again.

By the film's end, there was a glimpse of hope in that Thor could reunite with those he had befriended upon Earth. But in the meantime, Loki had somehow found his way to Earth himself, aiming to retrieve an object in the possession of Nick Fury, which he called the Tesseract.

"Well, I guess that's worth a look," he commented, as his visage was in the reflection of a nearby window.

"Well, I guess that's worth a look…" the scientist actually present repeated, almost as if he was being mind-controlled. And from there, the movie ended.

"What'd you guys think?" Rebecca asked as the lights were switched back on.

"Honestly, a little more mellow than I thought it'd be…" Mina admitted as she stretched her arms.

"Yeah, Thor's kinda boring…" Weisz chimed in with crossed arms.

"He's not boring!" Denki shouted as a retort.

"Him getting knocked off his ass and run over was funny…" Kyoka mentioned, stifling another laugh to the Electrification Quirk user's chagrin.

"I liked it!" Shiki exclaimed.

"Ahh~…" Ochaco yawned, "But now we gotta get some rest and hopefully enjoy a nice, long weekend…" she confirmed, stretching her arms.

"Anyone look into offers for work studies?" Mashirao inquired of the class curiously.

"Actually, Izu and I are getting introduced to the guy Mirio's working with tomorrow," Rebecca chimed in as a response, causing everyone to look over at the couple in surprise.

"Wait, both of you?" Hanta inquired.

"Aw, that's so cute~!" Mina gushed, "A hero couple in the making!" she remarked with a big grin. Minoru seethed in the corner.

"Midoriya, I do hope that since you and Bluegarden are planning to do your work study together, you won't be distracting each other during it," Tenya noted as he pushed his glasses up.

"O-O-Of course not!" Izuku stammered in response, while his girlfriend gave off an annoyed look, "I promise, we're both going to take things very seriously," he vowed.

"Hm," Rebecca huffed, turning her head away and crossing her arms over her chest.

"Well, I'm sure that I can trust you both," the Engine Quirk user affirmed. With that, everyone headed off to bed for the evening. Rebecca lied in hers, letting out a long yawn as she closed her eyes, falling fast asleep. When she opened her eyes, she found herself in what looked to a dark, enclosed space, dressed in her hero costume as she looked around.

"Wait… what?" she uttered in confusion.

'Don't tell me this is another one of those future visions 'cause of Cat Leaper…' she said to herself, preparing for the worst. At this point, she was numb to seeing visions of awful things to come.

"So I've found you at last…" a voice echoed, getting her attention as she whipped around, only to blink in surprise to see the figure of Saintfire Nox there, "One who possesses the Cat, able to change the very laws of nature," she noted, "Rebecca Bluegarden…" she said.

"Who… are you?" the Cat Leaper Quirk user asked.

"That is not important," the archbishop responded as she slammed her staff down, "You are a key piece to humanity's salvation from the meta abilities that so plague them," she told her, "We of the Church of Saintfire shall come and use your power to deliver that salvation," she proclaimed.

"Wait… you're talking about Quirks?" Rebecca assumed, "Why are they suddenly so bad?" she inquired. All of a sudden, several hooded figures surrounded her, enticing her to take on a defensive stance.

"We wish to help all of humanity from the blight of the powers you call Quirks," Nox stated, "You shall be the one to help us attain that goal," she declared, pointing at the Cat Leaper Quirk user.

"And why should I help you try and take away Quirks, even if I could?!" she inquired back fiercely. The archbishop lowered her gaze.

"Because you know not of what terrors your world of heroes and villains will face shall your battles continue…" she warned in reply, much to Rebecca's surprise. A flash of light enveloped the immediate area before dissipating. Opening her eyes, Nox stood up.

"You made contact?" one of her followers assumed.

"Yes," she answered, "Unfortunately, she does not appear to be open to adhering our need for her power," she pointed out, "We cannot continue our sacred journey to salvation without her aid," she noted firmly, "Takashi, Komi," she called out, enticing two of the hooded members to stand up, "I request that you bring Rebecca Bluegarden to us," she stated, "Only with her will we achieve salvation," she affirmed on. The followers removed their hoods. One of them with a man with spiky brown hair with a dark blue mask over his nose and mouth. The other was a woman with long black hair.

"You have our word, Saintfire," the former assured as he bowed his head. The woman beside did the same. As they and the rest of the followers departed from the church, Nox stayed behind and clutched her staff tightly in frustration.

'I'm sorry, Rebecca…' she apologized inwardly, 'I promise… this is all for the sake of saving humanity from imminent destruction…' she proclaimed through her thoughts.

X

"Mmmm…" Rebecca hummed out, dressed in her school uniform as she made her way into the common area of the dorms the next morning. She managed to sleep after her strange dream last night. Though she was inwardly debating whether or not it was a dream.

'It didn't feel like I was seeing the future like I did the other times…' she noted to herself, 'And that lady…' she recalled, thinking of Nox's visage her dreamscape, 'As much as I'd like to push it aside as if it were a dream, that lady's probably after me…' she concluded inwardly, clutching the strap of her book bag tightly, 'I gotta tell Mister Aizawa, or at least one of the teachers!' she affirmed through her thoughts.

"MORNING!" Izuku screamed in greeting as he rushed by instantaneously.

"WAH!" his girlfriend yelped, catching her skirt before it could go up, "Hey! Izu!" she yelled, running after him, "Geez…" she grumbled out. After meeting up with her boyfriend and Mirio at the train station, they took an hour-long trip to the agency of All Might's former sidekick. By all appearances, it was a regular building.

"Welcome to Sir Nighteye's agency!" the Permeation Quirk user exclaimed, gesturing toward it.

"Gotta admit, it's a bit more mellow than I imagined," Rebecca noted, "especially for All Might's former sidekick," she added with a giggled, "What do you think, Izu?" she asked of her boyfriend, only to find that he was frozen in shock.

"Hey take it easy, man!" Mirio insisted, "No need to get so stiff!" he assured.

"Sorry…" Izuku apologized, "It's just… meeting All Might's former sidekick is… well…" he tried to say. His senior chuckled.

"I get the nerves," he concurred, "Sir's a pretty strict guy…" he pointed out.

"Yeah, I know!" the One For All inheritor responded, "He's a hero famous for being demanding… on others as well as himself!" he noted. His girlfriend sweated a little. "His gaze is so harsh that it makes me shiver a little every time I see him on TV!" he admitted on.

'...Now I'm starting to regret this…' Rebecca inwardly admitted.

"Strict as he is, he does have another side to him that the media doesn't see," Mirio said, putting his hands onto his hips. The couple looked to him in confusion, wondering what he was referring to. "If you wanna be acknowledged by him, here's an important tip," he continued, "You gotta make him laugh," he advised. Both Izuku and Rebecca were baffled by the advice, not sure what they could do.

"W-Wait! Make him laugh?" the Cat Leaper Quirk user inquired as she and her boyfriend climbed up the stairs after their senior once they went inside the building, "What does that have to do with anything?" she asked on.

"Well, Sir really values humor for some reason," Mirio replied, "Think it's irony or something…" he added in explanation, "Wish I could tell you more, but that's it," he confirmed to the couple, "You two are on your own from here on out," he told them. Both freshmen were admittedly nervous, especially given the prerequisite that their senior had told them about. Nevertheless, they were determined as they reached the door to the agency. And Izuku was quick to swing it open.

'I wonder just what kind of experience we're in for…' both he and his girlfriend thought simultaneously.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!" a voice laughed rather loudly, much to their surprise. They looked over and widened their eyes to find a fairly well-built young woman with a rather slim build, her skin light blue in color, being tickled by a machine that she was strapped to. She had short, ruffled dark blue hair that curved upwards and downwards around her head, parted to her right, and wide yellow eyes with thick eyelashes.

Her hero costume consisted of a skintight dark blue crop top with a white high-collared section, a zipper down the middle, over the higher part of her chest, which revealed her torso from the underside of her breasts. She wore black tights with loose white shorts, two yellow markings down the either side of them, and thick white boots with lines running down their shafts, yellow rings in the center of them. Over her entire face, she wore a transparent visor with an air filter on each side, and on her hands she donned plain dark blue gloves.

Watching her be tickled relentlessly was a tall, lean-but-muscular man with rather sharp and elongated features. His shiny hair was worn smoothed down and parted to his left, and was of a dark green color, with three yellow streaks towards the front, two on his right, and one on his left. His eyebrows were also yellowish, matching the rims of the triangular glasses he wore and the strikingly bright-yellow irises of his stern-looking eyes. He was wearing a plain white suit with gold buttons, a white dress shirt, and a red tie with white dots.

'What kind of place is this?!' both Izuku and Rebecca wondered with shocked expressions upon their faces.

"So this is how loud and energetic you can be, Bubble Girl?" the suited man inquired of the tickled woman.

"Uh… who is that?" the Cat Leaper Quirk user questioned, pointing a trembling finger toward the woman essentially being tortured through tickling.

"Bubble Girl, one of Sir's sidekicks," Mirio answered, "Guess she didn't make him laugh…" he confirmed. At that moment, the former sidekick to All Might turned to his new guests, glaring sternly at them. They both flinched in surprise.

'His stare's just as intense in person!' Izuku noted inwardly as his lips quivered. He thought back to his senior's earlier advice about leaving a good first impression. His girlfriend watched as he lowered his head, fixing up his unkempt hair.

'Wait… he's not gonna…' she started to assume, widening her eyes with panic. Her boyfriend lifted his head up, revealing a face that was almost exactly like All Might's.

"I'm Izuku Midoriya!" he introduced proudly.

"Ahhhh…!" Mirio gasped out, while Rebecca gave off a blank smile.

'He did…' she muttered inwardly.

"What is this, boy…?" Nighteye asked in somewhat of a low growl, much to everyone's surprise, "Are you ridiculing All Might?!" he questioned with a fierce glare, making Izuku flinch.

'Uh oh…' Rebecca uttered inwardly. Already, the chance to leave a good first impression on All Might's former sidekick was in peril. Outside the agency, there was a barefooted woman walking along the city streets. She was a slender young woman with red eyes and black hair with diagonally cut bangs, and had two pairs of longer bangs, each on the front and back of her head, respectively. She wore a red qipao with a cherry blossom pattern that exposes much of her back, and a lily flower on the right side of her head. She stopped beside the building, looking up at it curiously.

"Hmm…" she hummed with a grin, "It appears I may be in for a treat today…" she confirmed, heading inside. Watching her from afar atop the building across the street were Takashi and Komi.

"So, it appears the Oracle is meeting her…" the former noted, "This may be good for us," he mentioned on. The woman beside him nodded. The wheels of fate were starting to turn…

Opens with Rebecca as a little girl waking up in the morning at the orphanage she grew up in. She plays with the other orphans as Witch watches on, smiling all the while. Growing up, Rebecca is a big help around the orphanage, learning to cook with Witch, organize, and even clean.

At one point, a cat is adopted by the orphanage, being none other than Happy. Rebecca is the one to take care of it the most, feeding him every so often and sleeping with him. She goes out on a walk with him and Witch one day, heading to a local park. There, she sees Izuku lying on the ground after having to deal with Katsuki and the other bullies.

From then on, he and Rebecca become friends, growing up together. They even go out to get hero trading cards one day, coming across the rare All Might card in their respective packs. Throughout their school days from kindergarten to elementary to junior high, Izuku and Rebecca stay great friends.

One night during a school dance, Izuku sits dejectedly as everyone else is dancing together in pairs. Rebecca approaches him, wearing a lovely green dress. She offers her hand to Izuku, who graciously accepts it as his face scrunches up. They dance together, all while Katsuki watches on from the corner with a look of annoyance on his face.

The years go by, up to the end of middle school. The day arrives that Izuku and Rebecca get to U.A. High, entering alongside each other. We see flashes of everything they've gone through: the Quirk tests, the battle training, the USJ incident, the Sports Festival, the internships, the final exams, the forest camp attack, the incident in Camino Ward, the provisional licensing exam, and Izuku and Katsuki's fight afterwards.

From there, we see the couple dressed in their hero costumes, looking out to the horizon as they're joined by their classmates, prepared to face whatever lies ahead. Izuku looks to Rebecca and smiles, taking her hand into his own and holding onto it firmly. Neither of them are ever going to lose hope in each other.

And there's the first Season 4 chapter done! Honestly, I wanted to get through more, but I felt that this was a good stopping point, especially with what we already had gone through. I'm really excited for this season, especially with the original content that things like the Saintfires will bring. Though nothing's been explicitly determined in the manga, I want to take on a new path.

Saintfire Nox's role, along with the rest of the Oracion Seis in this story, will all have important roles to fill. Whether they'll be saved for future portions or will be coming soon, that's yet to be determined. But I promise, everyone teased will be present in a key way someday.

That's about it for now! Up next, Izuku has to prove himself and Rebecca learns about another impending threat! Or is it an ally?

Thanks for reading, everyone! Don't forget to leave a review!
