A/N This is Autumn in winter when she's 9.
Autumn woke up not feeling so good one day. I've got a dreadful cold, she thought. I don't feel well at all. Time to find my hanky because I don't have tissues, but I'll get them. She went downstairs, blowing her nose.
Autumn's mother heard the girl blowing her nose and asked, "Did you have a nightmare or are you sick?"
Autumn said, "I've got a horrible cold, I think. I don't feel well at all."
Her mother gave her daughter medicine and a tissue box. "Go upstairs and I'll bring you a tray."
"Juice and toast," Autumn said, burbling into some tissues. She sobbed, feeling so sick and miserable, holding a tissue to her face as her mother did what she could to comfort her. Then, she went to her room and had her orange juice and toast after her cry was over.
Autumn sat on her bed, tissue box on her lap and floated away to Sodor.
Autumn arrived on Sodor and told Thomas, "I'm not crying. I don't feel so well.", as she blew her nose. "Tears of joy?" she said, because he smiled with twinkling black eyes and sniffed as his driver dried the tears from his eyes.
Thomas said, "I lost my branch line for a while because I was naughty, but I'm back now. It's good to be back."
Autumn said, blowing her nose again, "I like this better than the last time I was here. But you had every right to cry. Your eyes, when you cry, remind me of rain clouds because they're black. I go on my rounds of Sodor now." She hugged her friend, as he was finished crying.
Autumn went all over the island, seeing her engine friends and explaining she was stuffed up because she didn't feel well.
Autumn came back to Thomas and blew her nose loudly into her hanky a few times. "I used up my tissues," she said. "The last time I used this was when I had a bad dream. I had to watch you get scrapped by 'Arry and Bert."
Thomas said, "You wiped my eyes again and again with that because I couldn't stop crying the last times you were here."
She replied, "It was the right thing to do because you needed someone to wipe your eyeballs and comfort you. I was distressed and just wanted to wipe your pain away. Good-bye."
He looked softly at her, "Good-bye, Autumn," he said and whistled.
Autumn left Sodor, her friend's whistle in her ears and went with her day. She played quietly in her room, watched her favorite Thomas episodes and blew her nose. Then, she had her bedtime routine and fell asleep, cuddling her plush Thomas.
A/N I never had breakfast or anything on a tray when I was sick, but sometimes Autumn has things I didn't, because she's so loosely based on me. We didn't have that kind of tray when I was young as Autumn here. I've never had a bad TTTE dream, but I do remember having Thomas video dreams twice as a kid.
