Minisode - The Not-So-Odd Couple

One ordinary afternoon, there was a knock at the Loud House's front door.

"I've got it!" Leni called out as she answered the knock.

Outside was Jeff the Spider, "Hi mama!" he waved.

Leni started screaming, "AAAAAH! Jeffery!'

The two embraced in a hug with Leni hugging Jeff's head and Jeff wrapping his arms around Leni. Amazingly enough, Leni had gotten comfortable with Jeff's appearance. She still had a fear of spiders, but managed to convince herself that Jeff was not a spider.

...

A couple of months ago, Leni was talking to Jeff over video call with Lynn Sr noticing as he walked by.

"Wait, Leni, are you talking to a giant spider?" He asked.

Leni shook her head, "No dad, Jeff is Arachnid-American!"

"Just don't let that thing into my house!" he shouted.

Lynn "Called Lincoln a Life-Ruiner" Senior will not be in this crossover much anymore.

...

Soon enough, Jeff's aunts (well, the ones that were around) and uncle were outside chatting it up.

"So, what brings you out here, Jeff? If you were coming to visit, you should've called." Lincoln asked.

Jeff frowned a little and looked at the ground, "Well...this is a bit embarrassing, but I uh, am currently unhoused."

"Woah, dude, you're homeless?" Luna asked.

Jeff sadly nodded, "I'm afraid so."

"How? I thought you were filthy-stinkn-rich!" Lola asked.

"Well, I donated a lot of my money anonymously to online charities, but aside from that, I got sued."

"Sued?" The Loud kids all asked.

Jeff sighed, "A woman I never met before claimed I bumped into her, and apparently that caused her a lot of distress and the State of New York made me pay her several million dollars, which sent me into bankruptcy."

Luan was skeptical, "Wait, just one claim without evidence made you fork over all of your money?"

Jeff nodded, "Yeah, and she said it happened decades ago way before I was born! The judge sided with her though."

Lily blew a rapsberry because even the brainy toddler could tell how that was a load of horse dung.

Lucy sighed, "That's rough, Jeffery."

Lisa nodded, "Indeed, I knew this country's legal system was atrociously corrupt but I didn't think it was this terrible yet."

Leni rubbed her chin, "Maybe it was another giant spider?"

"Pretty sure she just lied about the whole thing, dude." Luna told her.

Leni gasped, "Lied? But women wouldn't lie about something like that!"

Oh Leni, you sweet summer child.

"What about your fabric business?" Lola asked.

Jeff shrugged, "Well, it's a perculiar thing, my storehouses were raided by a bunch of new folks who came to town! When I informed the police about it, they told me they rather not get involved because they didn't want to be canceled or have their wages docked again."

"Useless blokes." Luna remarked.

"So, you came back here to start over?" Leni asked.

Jeff nodded, "I didn't know where else to go."

Leni's eyes teared up, "I don't know if dad will let you stay. He really doesn't like you."

"Oh...I understand. I don't want to be a bother..."

"Wait! We can just build you a new house!" Lana suggested.

Luan groaned, "We'd need a lot of money for land and materials, Lana. Both of which cost a fortune due to President Pinocchio and his puppeteers."

That's gonna date this chapter really quick.

"If only there was somewhere we could house you." Leni cried meekly.

Jeff hugged his ma to comfort her, "I wouldn't need much, just a lot of room to move around in."

Lincoln rubbed his chin, "Hey! I think I know the perfect place!"

...

A bit after that, Jeff along with his ma, aunts, and uncle were outside of the Nukem High. You know, the abandoned school from chapter 15.

Lincoln knocked on the door to the side entrance and Fred Fredburger answered, "Hey Lincoln! You come over for games and nachos?"

Lincoln waved, "Hey Fred! Uh, actually, I need to ask you a big favor. Oh, first of all, this is my nephew, Jeff."

Lincoln got out of the way of Jeff who outstretched his hand for a handshake, "Um, hello Mr. Fred. My name is Jeffrey Loud, or Jeff if you prefer that."

Fred looked at Jeff's hand and low-fived it, "Hiya Jeffrey! And it's Mr. Fred Fredburger! That's F-R-E-D-F-R-E-D-B-U-uh..."

"R-G-E-R?" Jeff finished.

Fred nodded, "Yeah! You got it!"

Leni approached with her palms together, "Please Mr. Fred Fredburger! My poor little Jeffrey needs a place to stay, and my dad doesn't like him, and Lincoln thinks your place would be good for him and-"

"Wait!" Fred interrupted.

Leni halted with her mouth frozen open after saying "and" which bewildered everyone else.

Fred pointed to Jeff, "Look, I dunno who you are, but you seem like a great guy!"

Jeff smiled when he heard that.

"And this might sound strange, but I feel there's a strong bond between us!"

"Yeah, I don't know what it is, Fred. I've only known you for fifteen and a half seconds but it feels more like fifteen and a half years!"

Underfist bros for life.

Fred nodded more, "So yeah, you can stay here! The upstairs bathroom is still busted and it's messy everywhere else, but I got a couch, nachos, water, and streaming service!"

"Well, I could fix the plumbing for you, and I'm quite handy with a lot of things."

"Hey, me too! I even got my tools with me!" Lana announced.

"Do you carry that everywhere you go?" Lola asked.

"Nobody gives you any crud for your tiara and sashes!"

"Ah, touché."

Everyone started laughing as the minisode ends.
