Minisode - The Parenting
Grim, Rita, and Lynn Sr. sat at the kitchen table together. The married couple giving each other a nervous look before looking back at the Grim Reaper just sitting at their table, sipping coffee.
"You know, I feel as though we haven't really talked much, Mr. Reaper." Rita told Grim.
"Please Rita, call me Grim. Mr. Reaper was me father." Grim told her.
"So...Grim...uh, how are the accommodations? Enough to spare the family for a while?" Lynn Sr. asked.
Grim shrugged, "No need to worry yourself about that. Your time will come soon enough."
Lincoln suddenly walked into the kitchen, "Hey Grim, I'm gonna go meet up with my friends today!"
Grim nodded, "Okay, don't get into too much trouble."
Lincoln waved as he walked out of the kitchen, "Alright, I'm off. See ya later, Grim!" Lincoln left the house.
"How do you do it, Grim?" Rita asked.
Grim smiled, "Drink coffee without a mouth or stomach? Well, it is a neat trick I do for parties, you see-"
"No, how are you taking our son away from us?" Lynn Sr. asked.
"...I beg your pardon?" Grim asked, the smile went away.
Rita sighed, "Well, we've been trying to get more involved in our children's lives, but it's almost like the second we showed our faces, the second things went downhill. Yet here you are, been with us for nearly a year, and managed to earn Lincoln's trust when he barely speaks to us anymore."
Grim shrugged, "Maybe you're just trying too hard, or just did the wrong things too much."
"Or maybe you're using some weird Grim Reaper magic on them!" Lynn Sr. accused.
Grim frowned, "Don't blame me, it isn't my fault you two aren't stellar parents." He sipped on his coffee.
Rita glared at the reaper, "Grim, with all due respect, you have no idea what it's like to be a parent."
Lynn Sr. nodded, "Or a restaurant owner or a...uh, honey what do you do again? Are you still a hygienist?"
I think the show forgot or something.
Grim set his coffee down, "True, I've never been nor do I ever plan to be a parent. But I have watched humanity from the first mutated ape being killed from the first pointed stick, trust me, I know when something is dying, and one of them is going to be your relationships with your son."
"Why? Whatever did we do?" Rita asked.
Grim shrugged, "Aside from the constant neglect, constant favortism towards his sisters, and calling him a Life-Ruiner to his face?"
"He's still on about that? Well, I don't take any criticism!" Lynn Sr. plugged his ears.
Grim sighed and looked towards you, the readers, "They really are terrible, aren't they?"

Sorry for not updating, I've been depressed and stressed out. Trying to get the next chapter done this week or next week.
I get that a lot of people have no idea how to write parents as people, (Like Greg Universe or Bluey's parents) but holy heck did Season 6 ruin Rita and Lynn Sr.
