A/N Autumn's on the autism spectrum, so that's why she's bullied and I'm keeping her alive with her friends Sawyer, the ones I leave it out except as cameo characters, to keep it from being on the wrong side of the fanfic/original fic with fanfic characters line and her imaginary Sodor friends as her lifeline, because of my FanFiction buddy who likes Hurt/Comfort. However, mean Jessica will eventually be punished, but only when I'm ready.
The next day, Autumn went to school and found Jessica Harrison, the mean girl, with her group. They pointed at Autumn as she went by, whispering and laughing. Autumn covered her ears, frozen up. Then, she cried. Sawyer took Autumn's hanky and wiped her tears saying "It's okay to cry, Autumn. Let it all out. You're safe with me", even telling Autumn to blow her nose, "Autumn, blow your nose into your hanky. It'll help you feel better.". Then, she stuck up for Autumn.
Once Autumn's tears were dried, Sawyer said, "I know it hurts when people are mean, so it's okay to feel sad sometimes.", as they walked on.
The school day came to an end and Autumn thought about the mean words as she got off the bus, sobbing into her hanky.
"Blow your nose and wipe your eyes," Sawyer said. "It'll help you feel better. "Take your time. I'm right here, and I'm not going anywhere, until my parents come home." Then, as Autumn wiped her nose after blowing, she added, "See? You're doing great. It's okay to feel sad sometimes.".
The girls went into Autumn's house and Sawyer said, "My parents are at a work dinner at my dad's job. They'll call when they get back home.", as Autumn found an unopened tissue box.
"I shall need the whole box to handle my tears, Mummy," Autumn said, in a sob-filled voice.
Autumn, wiping her eyes, saw Aika crawling around. The baby crawled over to Autumn and sat in front of her, burbling. Then, she crawled some more, looking for something to pull herself to standing as Autumn went to her room while her mother tended to Aika, putting the baby in her playpen so she could cook.
Autumn said, blowing her nose "I'm going to Sodor. If you want to join me, just look at my Thomas toy and dream of Sodor."
Autumn and Sawyer floated away to Sodor. They found Thomas on a siding, getting prepared for his next train. Autumn, holding a tissue to her eyes, climbed into Thomas's cab.
"Blow your nose and wipe your eyes," Thomas said. "Let it all out. Just cry in my cab and then you can ride on my branch line when I pull my train.
"Your cab's a good place to wipe my eyeballs," Autumn sobbed. She kept sniffling.
Autumn blew her nose loudly and wiped her streaming tears from her sodden cheeks and wet eyes. Finally, her tears stopped and she blew her stuffy nose, then dried her red face and eyes, the latter puffy from her tears. The girls took a ride down Thomas's branch line.
After their train ride with Thomas, Autumn and Sawyer made their rounds of Sodor, visiting all their engine friends.
Autumn and Sawyer said good-bye to Thomas and Autumn hugged him. The girls left Sodor with Thomas's whistle in their ears.
When the girls came back, it was time for dinner. Autumn threw her soggy tissues in her bin, as called her bedroom wastebasket as the girl went to eat. Sawyer's parents came to pick her up after they ate and the girls said good-bye.
Autumn went on with the rest of the evening, doing her homework, then playing with Aika until the baby's bedtime. Autumn played, including with Snowy until it was time for her bedtime routine. She read herself a bedtime story from The Railway Series, then fell asleep with her stuffed Thomas.
A/N Autumn, for plot convenience, has a British dad, so her accent's a hybrid of British/Pennsylvania.
