The Gra Valkas Empire's objective is to capture Mu and drive Celestina out from Mu. General Walther Dietrich will command the Army Group North, while General Perth will command the Army Group Central. For Army Group North, General Walther will have General Fedor as Second in Command, commanding the Southern Army of the Army Group North.

"I will lead the fleet to weaken the Holy Milishial Empire and preventing them from sending reinforcements to Mu. At that time, I want all Army Groups to launch the attack."

"What's our objective by heading to the Holy Milishial Empire, sir?"

"First, we need to weaken their Navy. I wish we could send an invasion force. But, because of Celestina's presence at Mu, we could get driven back if we focus on invading the Holy Milishial Empire. We've got reports from our spies on Mu that Mu already successful in constructing a tank. So we have to expect that we will be fighting tanks on the front line."

When he issues a command to display Celestina's Reciprocating Aircrafts, it lists aircrafts put into service. Some of the combat aircraft match the description of the Gra Valkas Aircrafts, and to make it worse, the book describes the status of the combat aircraft is on production, which makes them speculate that Celestina constructs it for Mu to operate it.

"That's impossible. How did Celestina procure it?"

Caesar only shrugs while continue to discuss their strategy.

"For our battle plan, we will split our forces into three groups. The first group at the north will draw Mu and possibly Celestina's attention. Next, the Ishtam Fleet will suppress the beaches' defenses and send more reinforcements to box them in. Walther, you will be responsible for this.

General Fedor will assault through the forest and encircle them to cut off their supplies, trapping Celestina and Mu soldiers on the north. Pressure them until they surrender while Ishtam will protect the sea to prevent any reinforcements or evacuation.

The last is the Army Group Central, which bordered the town of Arou. General Perth, how's the base construction going?"

"The base was operational a week ago, and it starts accommodating the soldiers for the invasion."

"Excellent. We will launch the attack simultaneously and keep Celestina and Mu's front spread thin so they will box themselves in once we break through their lines. Celestina speculates that the Kain kingdom does not have tanks, and as such, the Gra Valkas Empire could deem it unnecessary to make Anti-Tank weaponry.

The Celestina Empire, Ardennes Forest, Northern Mu, 20th March 1527 / 228

"Install the Anti-Tank gun there and there! Load up some Anti-Air gun nearby!"

The Celestina Empire is preparing its defenses in the Northern Mu. They will cover every possible entrance, including the Forest of Ardennes. But, the Main Councill will make an opening to draw the Gra Valkas Empire's Army to enter the Forest of Ardennes.

The Ardennes Forest covers around two thousand kilometers wide and three thousand kilometers in length. The Ardennes features series of hills, dense forest, steep-sided valleys carved by swift-flowing rivers, and hiking paths. The Gra Valkas Empire's Armored unit can break out from Ardennes Forest in fifteen days if they can pace their army with two hundred kilometers a day without resistances or light resistance. Mu has the least defenses at the Ardennes Forest, believing that the Gra Valkas Empire will not dare to go through the high density of the forest since travel through the Ardennes Forest is extremely challenging with the terrain.

The Battle Group Rookie covers the first line of the defense, with the goal is to cover the northern part of the Ardennes Forest. The Battle Group Valkyrie will cover the southern part of the Ardennes Forest, with the White Knights Regiment setting up ambushes at possible routes taken by the Gra Valkas Empire's Armored Army, and the rest will prepare for the surprise counteroffensive.

Celestina deploys hundreds of Liberator Tank S Variant and R Variant, with a new type of tank commissioned into service known as Ballista Tank and Javelin Tank. The Ballista Tank serves as a Sniper Tank, using the rifling barrel fitted with anti-materiel materials to snipe enemy tanks. After testing the Ballista SAA Prototype that ended up piercing two Liberator Tanks with one anti-materiel rifle, the Natunia Seraphic Armory develops Ballista Tank to snipe enemy tanks up to 20km away, armed with 125mm Rifled Barrett.

Javelin Tank is a new variant of Stinger Tank, specializing in delivering a smaller version of Archer All-Purpose Missiles, AAPM-1, or known as SAAPM-1.

The preparation is ongoing as the Celestina Empire deploys several units, weapon emplacement, and establishing some kill zones. They want to keep the Gra Valkas Empire off from Mu. As part of the initial plan, Battle Group Rookie will cover a thousand kilometers of Ardennes Forest, while Battle Group Valkyrie will cover the rest.

Air cover is almost impossible to conduct due to the density of the forest. However, the density alone gives Celestina the advantage they need as several units inside the Battle Group Valkyrie are well-trained to conduct jungle warfare. For example, the 15th Regiment "White Knights" are highly proficient at jungle warfare, practically because of their habits of hunting monsters in the middle of the forest where there are many uncertain situations. Furthermore, their homeland, known as Wolf Shadow or Okaminokage city, is one of the towns that house the harshest environments and also the homeland of Sasha Sylwinder.

The city itself was a favorite destination for Celestina Citizens that want to train their survivability in the forest and snow weather. For the War Games, it was the most favorite map when it comes to combat training. The thickness of the forest, monsters, and ambushes are the main reason why the Okaminokage forest becomes a favorite place to train themselves in jungle warfare. Celestina Military always uses this map on the War Games to conduct a training session in Jungle Warfare.

Sasha leads the briefing as her Regiment is preparing the ambush at the assigned area."Alright, listen up! Our enemy technology is at the Second World War on the Earth, and we have to expect some of these guys are specialized in forest and mountain warfare! I don't want any of you to get cocky just because their opponent is easy to deal with! Even though we're superior in technology, all that matters is how we will stop them on its tracks with minimum casualty! Sasha holds a position as Perumagian Dungeon Guardian, a dungeon at Okaminokage, where she continues to earn money from monsters subjugated by adventurers every day. Her dungeon was rated A to SS+, but the Main Council sometimes trains there with the dungeon threat level set to SSS Rank, practically because of the harsh environment.

The Celestina Empire, Town of Kielseki, 21st March

"I want everyone to recon everything to make sure we know what they are up to!" Cecilia Keyron, the Commanding Officer of the Ranger 1st Army, orders all personnel to conduct a reconnaissance. She wants to find a critical area to set up ambushes for the Gra Valkas Army Group Central.

"Yes, Ma'am!"

The area must fit her Judgment Archer Division to conduct sniping more than seven kilometers away from their position. Her new Special Assault Armor Ballista will enter its debut after completing a series of War Games to test out its capabilities.

General Mick, the Commander of Mu, looks at how high Celestina soldier's morale and discipline. Then, quickly the 1st Ranger Army spreads out around Malmund mountains to conduct reconnaissance, setting up kill zones, and preparing anti-air defenses. Celestina initially wants to set up a defensive perimeter around Arou. However, Mu Parliament rejects it, even though Celestina already warns them that Arou is inside the artillery range of the Gra Valkas Empire's Army.

Mick laments Mu Parliament, as they prefer to remain fearful of the Holy Milishial Empire instead of the Celestina Empire. The Parliament also believes that the Gra Valkas Empire is no match for Mu. As a result, Mu Army only dispatched one armored battalion, consisting of five Sherman tanks and three Sherman Firefly tanks. Along with it are several armored cars fitted with Anti-Aircraft guns and at least a dozen Pak 38 and 57mm Anti-Tank guns to defend Arou, way off under Celestina's recommendation to deploy at least three divisions hold off the Gra Valkas Empire's assault. Knowing that the Gra Valkas Empire houses thousands of tanks for this war, the deployment of three divisions will keep the Gra Valkas Armored unit at bay for several months before Celestina can launch an assault.

"Grand Duchess Keyron." Mick bows to Cecilia as she approaches him.

"Don't mind me. I apologize that this is at least we can do to defend Mu."

"It's okay, Ma'am. I kind of hate how the Parliament behaves. They thought the Gra Valkas Empire's threat is nothing for them. I prefer to trust the report from Lieutenant Colonel Myrus for this one."

"He's good at it. But the Navy will take more time since the modification takes more time than initially planned. So don't worry; we will upgrade everything here and have your army prepare for everything."

Celestina's preparations are fast and well-coordinated, as they are stationing every arsenal they brought into Mu and putting it into good use. The people at Kielseki watch Celestina's personnel wear their signature uniforms, unlike Mu, who uses standard military uniforms for their military campaign.

Any adventurers eligible to wear their adventurer's gear with Sage Ore augmentation are allowed to retain their dress when on the military campaign, which is currently limited to the S League, Battle Group Valkyrie, Battle Group Scharlwarltz, and Battle Group Council. Aside from standard-issued weapons, they are allowed to bring their signature weapons. Any adventurers that use firearms as a signature weapon can requisition the same firearms for a military version.

Celestina plans to deploy Mech units, just like how Celestina assaulted the industrial city of Duro at Papaldia Empire two years ago. However, they choose not to deploy it for the defensive operation, at least for the time being, unless Feena changes her mind.

The townsfolk are curious to see the living armor of the Big Foot, Lightning, Kalsiddon, and Armour, as the kids are playing with them just fine as long as they didn't mount it unsupervised. For them, Celestina remains full of surprises.

Celestina assigns them to assist Battle Group Rookie in protecting the flank while also preparing to counterattack as soon as Celestina prepares the Battle Group Valkyrie to conduct an offensive. The assault will commence once the Gra Valkas Empire is about to break out from the Ardennes Forest. As for right now, Celestina will focus on the defense and draw as many Gra Valkas personnel and armor as possible.

The Gra Valkas Empire, Leiforia Port

The Grade Atlastar has complete its refueling and soon will depart for the Holy Milishial Empire. A total of 400 ships are advancing towards the Holy Milishial Empire, aiming to weaken their Naval power further. Caesar and his fleet depart on 29th May 1527, while Isthtam Fleet departs on 5th June, heading to the Northern Mu. They will radio in when the attack is clear to proceed. Around 194 warships are moving to the Northern Mu, whose objective is to suppress the Celestina Empire's army from the beachhead.

The Grade Atlastar has their armor improved along with the turret fitted with canopy to prevent the Flash Fire happened again as it suffered the fate during the Conference last year. The humiliation during the event that occurs a year ago left a big scar on the Gra Valkas Empire's pride, as they vow to avenge this humiliation.

The Gra Valkas Imperial Army lauded as the strongest at their homeland, Planet Yugudo, now will face the strongest nation of the Planet St. Celestina, The Celestina Empire.

"We're in position to launch the assault." Vice-Admiral Randgris Flauvel monitors the holo table inside the bridge of Aegis Wing, the flagship of the Flauvel Combat Fleet.

"Copy that. The mission is to let the Gra Valkas Empire land their troops and have them trapped once everything is in place."

"Understood."

The Flauvel Combat Fleet warships are taking position 250km North-East of the town of Ardennes. They will move in as soon as they got word that the Gra Valkas Empire is landing their troops on the Northern Ardennes Forest. As long as the defenses remain solid at Celestina's battle lines, the Gra Valkas Empire will not have a chance to box Celestina in.

The Gra Valkas Empire, 30km west of the South of the Ardennes Forest, Carentan Base

General Fedor assesses the situation as the Gra Valkas Empire's scout continues to recon around the Ardennes Forest before the invasion takes place. General Walther also does the same thing, with the reports that the Celestina Empire has fortified the defenses around the Northern Ardennes Forest. The South Ardennes Forest was undermanned as Fedor aware that Celestina may not have enough personnel to maintain defenses on the south. They need to separate their forces from defending the entrance to the Ardennes Forest and subjugating the monsters inside the forest.

Fedor looks at the map, where the officers are planting the chess pieces to determine Celestina's location. He has two possibilities if he goes through the South of the Ardennes Forest, it's either Celestina purposely making an opening for him to break it, or Celestina did not have enough personnel to defend Ardennes Forest and the Town of Ardennes. With just around two hundred thousand personnel deployed to the front line, it will not be enough to cover the entire Ardennes Forest, let alone the monster's nest where Mu doesn't even want to touch it.

"Air cover seems impossible, but if we burn down the forest…."

Fedor considers this option, as burning the forest could flush Celestina's personnel out. But, the setback is the North Army Group may have to postpone the invasion as the fire could spread to the entire Ardennes Forest. The other thing to consider is his personnel may have to camp under the smell of the ashes they've made.

"Alright, then. We will invade as scheduled before. Get everyone ready for the invasion! Then, we will proceed to the Sickle Cut Strategy as planned!"
