Hey hey hey!
It has been 4 months since I posted/updated anything...
And I can explain why! Many things happened. My health (mostly physical) was awful. No details, sorry.
Bu-ut...
I did start writing this GeCe oneshot about 5 months ago and never posted it because it's not finished. I decided to post it anyway and I'll try to finish it as soon as possible.
Teentitan12 shared this idea with me and i decided to write it.
Please leave a review! Enjoy :)
oOo
"Hey Rocky!" I ran up to my best friend, holding a red folder in my hand and waving it. "Guess what it is!"
"Uhm, you look excited, maybe these are Katy Perry tickets?" She looked at me puzzled and shrugged.
"No-o, silly!" I laughed and hit her lightly on the arm with my folder. "This is my project!"
"Your what?!" She spat out the water she was drinking at that moment.
"Yep! My English teacher said that I could do any project on any topic to improve my grade. And I decided to write about dancing!"
"Wow, I'm surprised! Who are you and what have you done with the CeCe Jones I know?" Rocky dramatically put her hand to her head and leaned away from me.
I just smiled and opened the folder to show her my project. Yes, it wasn't anything fancy, just paper with text on it, but I was proud of myself and was hoping for at least a C+.
"Hi chickas," My friend Deuce came up to us and opened his black and red jacket, which, as always, contained many things that he was selling. "Interested in something?"
"Oh, hi Deuce," I greeted him.
"Deuce, you won't believe this, CeCe actually made a project!" Rocky blurted out quickly and doubled over with laughter, clutching her stomach.
"For real?" He looked at me with disbelief and raised an eyebrow.
"Yes, yes, why is it so hard to believe!" I frowned and pouted my lips, frustrated.
"By the way, you see her?" Deuce suddenly looked around and whispered to us.
"See who?" Rocky asked in confusion.
"That girl, over there," We looked in the direction he was pointing and our mouths opened in shock.
"Woah, she's... Huge!" There, standing near the lockers, was a girl who seemed older than us, but it was hard to tell because of her HUGE height. And she herself looked very... Mean? Scary? Evil? What's the word I'm looking for?
I tried to see what she was doing, and it seemed as if she was demanding something from the guy with glasses.
"Yeah, it's strange that you don't know about The Shark. The whole school is literally buzzing about her now. She recently returned after a long suspension. Oh, and she's also a basketball captain."
"The Shark? Really?" Rocky started laughing. "Is that the only nickname she could come up with?"
"You can laugh, but I'm serious. I recommend staying away from her. If she doesn't like you in any way, she will make your life hell. Wait, there's Dina, I gotta talk to her, see ya later!" He looked at that girl again and went in the opposite direction.
"Uhh, that was weird..."
"Tell me about it," I scoffed and rolled my eyes. "I thought you were the tallest girl in school."
"Hey!" She looked at me offended and crossed her arms over her chest.
"Kidding, I'm just kidding!"
"Alright, I'll ignore this unfunny joke and go to class." Rocky walked away with her head held high.
Was she really offended? I was just joking, duh.
This is the first time I was excited to go to class and didn't want to be late. I can submit my project!
I went to the lockers to pick up my textbooks.
Suddenly I ran into something. I tried to get around, but this something moved. Oh no. Can't be. I slowly raised my head to look at The Shark's face. My heart almost jumped out of my chest.
"Oh- Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" I muttered and tried to run away. She bared her teeth and widened her eyes.
Suddenly she grabbed me by the shoulders and threw me against the lockers. I could have sworn I heard my spine crunch. I winced in pain and slid down against the lockers.
"Watch where you're going!" That was the last thing I heard. I didn't remember anything else; I think I was unconscious for several minutes.
"CeCe?" A voice calling my name brought me to consciousness.
"Huh?" My ears were ringing, and when I tried to open my eyes, everything was blurry.
"CeCe, are you okay? What happened?" I caught a slight accent in the voice and immediately recognized this person.
"Gunther? Y-Yeah, everything's good, I'm fine, nothing happened," I got up from the floor, my legs gave way and I fell again.
He is the last person I wanted to see right now. Or rather, I didn't want him to see me like that. The reason for this is that I kinda like him. In a romantic way, I think. I don't know, I just used to find Gunther and Tinka annoying, and now they are our friends and I find him cute.
"Really? I thought you were unconsious," Gunther frowned and offered his hand for me to stand up.
"No-o, I was... sleeping?" I'm usually a good liar, but for some reason this time it didn't work out very well. I glanced at Gunther to see if he bought it.
"Sleeping? On the floor?"
"Yeah... By the way, did the class start already? And where is Tinka?" I tried to change the topic.
"Ten minutes ago. I had to go because I-"
"Oh no, I'm late?! My project!" I interrupted him and started running towards the classrom.
"Wow, you've never been so upset about being late for class," He said lastly before going after me.
I ran in and slammed the door. Looking around, I saw that all the students were sitting at their desks and looking at me in confusion. The teacher stood at the blackboard with a pointer.
"CeCe Jones, I'm surprised," The teacher finally spoke after a moment of silence. "You bothered to show up to my class."
"Oh..." I opened my mouth, but I couldn't think of any excuse. What should I say? That a huge girl beat me?
Then I heard a door opening and saw Gunther walk into the classroom. He approached the teacher and gave him some note.
"Thanks," The teacher nodded and Gunther went to his seat.
Wait! My project!
"Um, I made a project," I muttered uncertainly and handed the teacher my red folder.
"Great, why don't you read it then!" The teacher gave me my folder back and smiled encouragingly.
"Read it?" Well this can't be good. I thought he'll just read it himself and give me a grade.
"Of course!"
Okay, CeCe, you can do it. I opened the folder and gulped. I looked at Rocky, she gave me a thumbs up. Only she knew why I didn't like to read in front of people.
And there was Tinka, watching this whole scene with an unreadable expression in her eyes. A couple of girls (Abby and Leslie) were whispering about something. I hope it's not about me!
Damn, I've been standing for too long, the teacher is waiting for me to start reading. So I looked at the papers and skimmed the text. 'Dance is the oldest of all arts.' Yeah, I can do this.
"Dance is... Umm..." I panic and try to read the next words. But it all seems so meaningless! Alphabet soup.
All the letters are so blurry and strange... Is that a 'b' or a 'd'? Come on, come on, CeCe... Maybe I can remember everything?
"Is... Boldest?" No, not boldest! Ugh.
I look at the students. They are all waiting. Waiting for me to continue. But I can't.
All words are so...Wavy! I can't read anything!
Now everyone thinks I'm stupid. Well, besides Rocky, of course, she knows that I have dyslexia. And Gunther... He's looking at me. Concerned? He also now thinks that I can't read.
And I just burst into tears. I dropped the folder and ran away.
I wanted to curl up and die!
