Little NaLu one-shot I came up with and decided to write. Hope you guys like it. :3

Lucy was highly relishing being held in Natsu's warm embrace.

The feeling of her fellow Mage's arms wrapped tightly around her made the blonde feel so safe and secure. She was so lucky to have someone so brave and strong as the pink-haired boy in her life. Even though she was a strong independent young woman who could look out for herself, she always felt better to have Natsu by her side. There wasn't a single mission that Fairy Tail sent her on where she didn't want him with her. He was the only one in the guild who could make her feel perfectly protected.

He was also perfectly capable of driving Lucy crazy with his immature behaviour and his habit of letting himself and Happy into her apartment. That was the way Natsu rolled - and there wasn't a chance she would have it any other way.

With a soft, contented sigh, Lucy rested her head against Natsu's chest. The smile on her face softened as she felt his arms closing more around her. She snuggled lovingly into his embrace.

"You're so warm, Natsu," she whispered.

"Of course I am!" Natsu grinned. "It's all that fire inside me! You know who to turn to if you need to heat up your lunch! Happy's always coming to me to fry up his fish!"

"No… That's not why you're warm…"

Lifting her head to face him, Lucy directed her smile at Natsu. Her brown eyes twinkled brightly as she placed a hand softly against the boy's chest.

"It's not the fire inside you that makes you warm, Natsu," she told him. "It's your heart…"

Natsu felt his cheeks heating up. They were turning red as he was moved by the tender words Lucy had said about him. He looked down where she had placed her hand onto his heart. It was racing inside his chest, overflowing with the feelings he had for the blonde.

"Th-Thanks, Lucy…" he murmured.

Lucy giggled - then her ears perked up as a familiar voice spoke in a mischievous tone from nearby.

"He liiiiikes you!"

An irritated frown crossed Lucy's face as she swung around. She was not amused to see Happy was sitting close by, smirking up as her with a fish clutched between his teeth.

"Will ya stop showing up outta nowhere, cat?!" she hollered. "What d'ya have to go and say that about Natsu all the time?!"

"Because it's true…"

Lucy's glare disappeared over the words which had just been spoken to her. The Celestial Wizard's body went rigid as her mouth hung open. Feeling hands being placed onto her shoulders, she found herself being turned towards Natsu - before he pressed his lips against her own.

It was Lucy's turn to feel her heart racing inside her chest. Her knees shook as her legs threatened to give way from what was happening. Not wanting to fall away from Natsu, she threw her arms around his neck to hang onto him tightly - as she deepened the contact between their lips.

Happy smiled as he watched the young pair kiss. It was so satisfying to see his lifelong friend share a tender moment with the girl he loved. He watched the passionate moment being shared between the two humans - which was made from their undying feelings for one another.

"Told you he likes you…" Happy said, grinning as he munched on his fish.
