Hermione Granger was feeling sentimental. It had been over three years since the war had ended. Over three years since she had seen her parents and today was their wedding anniversary. So she was feeling sentimental.

She had decided to go for a walk in her old neighborhood and show Ron where she had grown up. He was better with behaving in muggle situations now compared to fresh out of Hogwarts but every once in a while she did have to cover for a wild statement in public.

They were strolling arm in arm around the park a few streets over from her parents' house when she heard a voice call her name.

She turned and saw the last person she expected. Matilda Wormwood.

Matilda had been her closest friend in primary school. She had moved to the States with her new guardian the year before Hermione had switched to Hogwarts, but they had tried writing letters. Hermione would write a letter and send it by owl to her parents who would then mail it to Matilda's new address and then reverse it when a letter came back from America. They had kept it up until third year when keeping up with the time turner had rattled her brain.

The girls hugged and Hermione awkwardly introduced Ron to her old friend. Ron seemed confused. Bluntly he spoke up, "I thought me and Harry were your first friends?"

The bushy haired woman blushed. "I might have exaggerated. I was feeling bad because Matilda moved so suddenly and you were being a right prat during those first weeks."

He flushed and nodded his head. She turned to her old friend and asked what she had been up to and they proceeded to talk, right there in the park lane, for over an hour. They were about to go when Matilda looked at the lion patch with the Gryffindor background on Hermione's bag.

"Wait a minute. Did you go to magic school here? Hogwash or whatever?"

"Hogwarts? How do you know about that?"

"I ended up at Salem School for Witches! Turns out floating all your books isn't telekinesis but an over powered hover charm."

The girls looked at each other in wonder.

"How did the only two witches at our primary find each other?" Hermione mused.
