AN: I do not own Harry Potter

So, I am sorry, because unless I changed this chapter, neither chapter five nor chapter 22 make sense unless Cedric and Lucius Malfoy become telepaths and know suddenly what all Harry has gone through. So I changed it.

Lucius Malfoy Thinks

He had sworn to get the two boys to safety, so he did. By the time they had reached St. Mungo's, he had been carrying Harry under the watch of Cedric.

The boy had a protector in the form of his fellow tournament member, who was taking it seriously, given the fact that he was still keeping a eye on him. The fact that his protector had put his wand away had nothing to do with the older boy's watchfulness. Cedric was prepared, though he was exhausted from the happenings earlier in the day.

What had happened earlier? The question was put to Harry once they were in a room and the answer put Lucius back into a state of meditation.

Potter had died. He had heard that from Potter just before they left, yet to hear that from Cedric, hearing that the younger boy had been hit with a killing curse, made that fact all to sure. To die and then come back meant that there was something more going on than what had happened at face value.

He pressured the boys for more information on that subject.

"Well, I left Voldemort's horcrux behind when I came back" was the basic answer he got. Yes, Harry was running his mouth about what just happened, and each time he was asked a new detail came out, but it came back to that basic sentence.

That made no sense. People died in two's and three's when they were hit by a single killing curse. A hand on the belly, an arm in the act of pushing the initial victim out of the way, or any way that more than one person had a body part touching the other when the killing curse landed, and they were all two, all three of them dead. It was an instant killer. There should have been more. He didn't understand.

He pressured them some more. They gave him nothing else about what happened that day, only repeated what they had already told him. However, Harry spilled a lot. Each time that Harry had come into contact with Voldemort was told to both men.

He was quiet while they were examined. He was quiet when he was examined.

Because of their group arriving at St. Mungo's about a fire that had gotten out of control in a graveyard, the proper authorities had been notified. The three of them were told that the fire had been put out after Potter had been given the anti-venom.

The injuries were harder to heal because of the magical qualities in the ash that had gotten in them. Because of that, both boys were stuck in that hospital room for the rest of the day. Lucius was supposed to, but he escaped soon after his wife arrived.

Lucius left for the graveyard, and went looking for the tournament portkey. Upon hearing that the two boys were contractually bound to return to the site they had disappeared from with the same portkey, it was adjusted to take them back to the school. The password was written on a scrap of parchment beside it on the table the portkey sat on in the room. He had put it there, once he returned.

Now, he had a basically immortal boy that had the ability to burn things to ash in front of him, as far as he knew, which was different than the Dark Lord. What had the Dark Lord had said? Oh, it was going further towards immortality than any man previously had gone. The current Dark Lord had originally started out as mortal. This boy had survived two killing curses, and now, he was starting to wonder that if he had managed to land one in his son's second year. it might be the same. The Dark Lord had come back after his followers had made him a body. Potter came back in his own body. There was a good deal of difference.

He started to wonder if he truly had backed the strongest person originally?
