Author's Note: Hello, reader! This is my first time writing a full novel-length story, and I'm so excited to share it with you! This was originally going to be something simple and fun to share with my family and friends, buuuuut then it turned into this whole thing which took a while to make, and I figured some of you internet people might like it.

The human Sun and Moon designs featured in this story are based on the ones created by the wonderful Shandzii! They stopped making FNaF content a while ago, but if you would like to see their older designs, as well as plenty of original art, you can visit their tumblr.

Enjoy! :)

It was another splendiferous Monday night at the Superstar Daycare, and Sun was tidying up the play area. It had been raining for most of the day, and some of the kids had tracked in mud. Sun had tried to clean up throughout the day, but there was just so much that he couldn't keep up with it all. Obviously, the best daycare in the world couldn't have icky mud slopped everywhere, so that meant extra cleaning.

As he made sure that everything was spick and span, he reflected on his day. It had been a few months since the Pizzaplex had reopened, and (aside from the mud) things were better than ever! With that horrible virus gone, all of the animatronics were acting like their friendly selves again. The Glamrocks even started visiting the daycare after-hours.

And that's not all! After Gregory apologized for breaking the daycare rules, he had become one of Sun and Moon's best friends (no offense to their other best friends, of course). According to the Mini Music Man network, Vanessa had brought him to visit that very night, and they would get to hang out as soon as all the daytime staff had left. The best part was that, unlike the daycare kids, Gregory actually chose to hang out with them!

That's not to say they didn't care about their little Starshines. Sun and Moon loved them all dearly, but at the end of the day, none of them would be there if their parents hadn't forced them to be. Still, Sun enjoyed spending time with the kids, and he knew Moon did too, even if he didn't always show it. Why just this afternoon he-

"Watch where you're going!" Moon suddenly yelled. Well, maybe "yell" wasn't the right word for it. Although Sun was in control at the time, Moon was still aware, and they could communicate with each other using their internal network. Sun stopped daydreaming for a moment and realized that he was about to step in some spilled glitter glue.

"Oh! Thanks Moony! It would've taken FOREVER to clean that off!" he exclaimed.

"Yeah, I remember from last time," Moon replied. Sun could almost feel him rolling his eyes. "They're my shoes too, y'know."

As Sun started to wipe up the glue, something shiny caught his eye.

"Hey, what's that?"

He skipped across the room and picked it up. It was a clear ball, bigger than the ones from the ball pit, and it seemed to be filled with some kind of purple-y… liquid? Smoke maybe? Whatever it was, it was so shiny it was almost glowing. No wait, it was glowing. Sun had never seen a ball like this.

"I don't recognize it either. One of the kids probably left it," Moon suggested.

After rolling the strange ball in his hands for another moment or two, Sun decided it would be best to leave it on the security desk until Gregory, and probably Freddy, arrived. Those two were nearly inseparable. They would be able to take it to Lost and Found. Sun would have taken it there himself, but he still had to finish cleaning up that glitter glue, not to mention wiping down the play kitchen, sanitizing the ball pit, alphabetizing the storybooks…

He was so busy thinking about his to-do list that he hadn't noticed the ball starting to glow brighter. By the time he reached the security desk, what was once a slight shimmer had grown into a beacon that seemed to glow as brightly as the cheerful animatronic's namesake, even with all of the lights on.

"Hey, Sun, I don't think we should be hol-"

BOOM!

For just a moment, the ball glowed brighter than ever and sent out a shockwave that threw the Daycare Attendant against the wall. Then, everything went dark.

Gregory loved visiting the Pizzaplex. Despite the fact that he had almost died there a few months before, it felt like a second home to him. Every time he visited, he and Freddy got to hang out and explore the place together. Depending on the night, they could listen to DJ Music Man's sick beats at the West Arcade Dance Floor, try to beat their highscores in Fazerblast, or just sit around and talk.

Sometimes it was just the two of them, sometimes the other Glamrocks or the Mini Music Men would join in the fun. But tonight was extra special. Usually, Vanessa would only let him come along on weekends because of school, but there was currently a flash flood warning for the entire school district, so school was canceled the next day.

Right now, though, Gregory had to be patient. Fazbear Entertainment didn't want some random kid running around the place at night, so Vanessa always made him stay in her car until all the other employees had left. Tonight he decided to replay Chapter 1 of Rainbow Friends for the gazillionth time. Given his real life experience in avoiding rogue killer mascots, he considered the game pretty easy, and now he mostly just wanted to show off his Legendary Birthday Cake box (the rarest and most expensive box skin in the game). As he finished the game, he was surprised that Vanessa hadn't called him in yet.

"I guess people are more willing to work overtime on weekdays," he thought.

Gregory didn't know how long the daytime employees were allowed to stay after closing, but he guessed it couldn't be that long. He heard his Fazwatch beep, then a familiar voice came through the speakers.

"Gregory, are you there?"

"I'm here, Freddy. Vanessa hasn't called me in yet, do you know why?"

"Actually, that is why I am calling you. Vanessa wanted me to tell you that some sort of critter has broken into El Chip's. All of the employees have been trying to catch it for the past ten minutes or so."

While Freddy was still talking, a squirrel squeezed out of a nearby vent and scampered off into the woods.

"Hey Freddy, was it a squirrel? I just saw one come out of a vent."

"I am not sure. She did not say, and we are not allowed in there until it is caught. I will ask her."

Apparently it was the squirrel, because a few minutes later Gregory got a text message.

-Coast is clear

"It's about time," Gregory thought as he put on his raincoat and left the car. As usual, he started climbing up the fire escape. It was wet from the rain, so it was kind of difficult to hold onto, but every other door was locked after hours. When he reached the VIP Lounge, Freddy was there to greet him.

"Hello, Gregory! I am very glad to see you again. And on a Monday no less!"

"I'm happy to see you too, Freddy," Gregory replied, taking off his raincoat. "Where's Vanessa?"

"She is still in El Chip's assessing the damage and making sure that the squirrel does not come back. I offered to help, but she sent me here to meet you. She also wanted me to tell you that she is sorry you had to wait in the car longer than usual."

"Thanks for letting me know. It really wasn't that bad, though. I just listened to the rain and played some Roblox."

Freddy looked confused.

"How were you able to play it in the car? I thought it was a computer game."

"There are mobile versions, too. I just downloaded it onto my Fazwatch."

"I was not aware that Fazwatches were capable of downloading non-Fazbear software."

"They're not supposed to, but it was actually really easy to hack it."

Freddy was taken aback. He couldn't believe what he was hearing.

"Hack it?! Gregory, why would you do that? Now the integrity of the product is compromised, and the warranty is void!"

"Geez, it's just a watch. And it still does everything it's supposed to do. Except now it plays the opening of The Bee Movie at 10x speed every time I turn it on. Wanna see?"

Gregory turned his Fazwatch off, but before he could turn it back on, Freddy placed his paw over his hand.

"That may be true, but it is about more than that, Superstar. How would you feel if you worked very, very hard on something, only for others to say it was not good enough and change it without your permission? That would not be very nice, would it? Do you think that is worth having video games and a bee movie?"

Gregory thought about that for a moment, then dropped his head.

"Maybe not. Buuuuut… it's not like I can un-hack it, so we might as well enjoy it."

Gregory turned the watch back on, and sure enough, the Bee Movie opening started playing.

"Accordingtoallknownlawsofaviation…"

Freddy shook his head and sighed. "Let us go and tell the others that you are here."

As they started walking toward the elevator, a Mini Music Man popped its head through a nearby vent. He clapped his cymbals in excitement upon seeing Gregory.

"Oh, hey there! It's nice to see you, too," Gregory said, waving.

The Music Man clapped its cymbals some more in response.

"He says that he saw you waiting in the car earlier, and has already told the other Music Men that you are here," Freddy translated. "He also says that he is surprised to see you here on a Monday."

"Wow. You got all that?"

"More or less."

"I guess that means everyone else knows, too."

Freddy nodded. The Mini Music Men were notorious gossips.

"Thank you for telling us, friend," Freddy said, turning back to the Music Man. He clanged out a goodbye, then crawled back into the depths of the ventilation system.

"So, what do you want to do first?"

"I don't know, is there anything special that happens on Mondays?"

Freddy thought for a moment as he pushed the elevator button.

"Well… I heard that it was a rough day in the daycare today, so Sun and Moon might need some cheering up."

"Yeah, probably mostly Sun. We can do that, but not while he's still cleaning. I don't wanna end up polishing each individual ball pit ball again."

"But it is good to help out friends in need. And that was only one time. I am sure it will not happen again."

"Okay, fine. If he's still cleaning, we'll help clean up. I'll check the cameras to see if he's done yet."

Gregory checked his Fazwatch, then furrowed his brow and frowned.

"Is something wrong, Gregory?"

"Maybe. All the cameras in the daycare are offline. Let's go check it out."

"Oh my! I do hope the Daycare Attendant is alright. Shall I call Vanessa to help?"

"Nah, we'll probably be fine. If it turns out to be something we can't fix, I can send her a message on my Fazwatch."

"…If you insist…"

Gregory didn't know why Freddy was so worried. Cameras around the Pizzaplex malfunctioned all the time. Depending on what the problem was, the cameras might come back online by themselves before they even got there. Although he had to admit, it was kind of weird that all of the daycare cameras were down at once.

"I guess we just have to wait and see for ourselves."
